So even though I had the dimensions it was still WAY smaller than I thought it would be. I'm not sure what I expected. The actual dog house is a very good size for my 14 (a little overweight) Dachshund. It was hard for him to get up the stairs, I don't know if that's his weird body, short legs and long torso or it's just oddly small. I also changed the stairs from the direction its in to the a straight direction off the top. there was no way he was getting down the way they have it set up, makes no sense! it is beautifully made and I think It's a great house. Very easy to put together. I love it, I just hope my dog gets used to those stairs. time will tell.shellmell

This was super easy to put together and follow the directions; although I am a very handy person. I love it, it looks great on my patio for my little puppy and gives him a nice spot to rest and hide out in the shade. On warmer days, it did not feel hot inside, HOWEVER, I live in a place with very moderate temperatures (72 with a breeze most days). So in a warner climate you may want to purchase one of their dog house fans available on this site!!! As I hope you can see in the photo, my little guy enjoys his space! Side note: as far as the other reviews about the stairs being flimsy… I disagree. As long as you screw in all three screws for the stairs and don't attempt to drag this across and yard or surface, the stairs are very sturdy. As well this is pretty easy to pick up and move; I moved it once assembled up a flight of stairs alone and it was no struggle. I hope this review helps! Thanks and good luck to you!!Nicole

I have a 16 year old cat that decided to live outside on our patio earlier this year. I have no idea why. She refuses to come in and when I force her to come in she poops on my shoes (ugh). I live in Southern California so it's not real cold but nights in orange county can get pretty chilly. I have bought her 3 little houses/beds and she refuses to go inside them. This was my last attempt/purchase. It was easy to put together by myself. I did not assemble the "upper deck portion or stairs". I did not screw in the roof either, this works perfectly for me. I can lift the roof off & on for easy access. It's quite snug and fitted when in place but easily lifts off. She's too old to use the stairs and would never use the deck portion. I have it on my patio in a corner under the overhang. She LOVES it!! I put her blanket inside with her pet heating pad (Amazon 19.99) under her blanket and she is in heaven. I lift off the roof every couple days to shake out her blanket and check her heating pad and she's always curled up napping. I am thrilled and now sleep knowing she's warm, comfortable and dry. This igloo dog house is absolutely the best thing on the market. Heavy, durable and withstands high winds, rain, and hail. I haven't been able to test in cold temperatures yet as I just received this recently. However, I have no doubts it will definitely hold up. I waited to give a review because I wanted to test out the weather conditions to truly give my 100% honest opinion. Does not come assembled but it's an easy process. The large is quite large. My dog is 60lbs and has plenty of room left in it to move adound. Provides a great shelter. It is constructed very well. You will definitely not be disappointed with this product! Those who have dogs that live outside this would be perfect for. Very well insulated and lining with straw in the winter will make it that much more insulated. We live in Pennsylvania so our winters can be brutal with sometimes 3 seasons in 1 day. I'm not sure how this would hold up insulation wise in much colder climates but for us it's absolutely perfect.Cainjm301

I got this igloo-shaped dog house for our Shih Tzu which is 20 lbs. I got this to keep her cool in the warm months when we sit on our patio. It came in two separate pieces in a large box. The top part of the dog house has 4 brackets which easily snaps to the bottom half for quick assembly. I assembled it in our home and needed to carry it out onto our patio through the front of the house since it was too wide to fit through our sliding door. It is surprisingly lightweight for its dimensions, so it is easy to carry to different locations. The top of the house has a round vent with a paw print which can be turned to open or close it as needed for ventilation. Because of its design, there’s room for movement. The smaller opening in the front protects it from the elements such as wind and sun; although rain did get in through that front opening and not the vent. It disassembles quickly for cleaning or even to transport away from home! Although it is a large house, I feel that it is suitable for a medium size dog so that it can have enough room to move comfortably. Once assembled, my dog was confused and leery, which is to be expected since it’s something new! I gently introduced her to the inside and she was able to move around comfortable until she nested on her bedding. I highly recommend this house for any small to med sized pet to be used in the summer to keep them cool and winter to keep them warmer. Yet because it lacks insulation. I would not recommend it for permanent outside shelter in the winter. Additionally, I did notice that it got hot on the patio and thus I had to move it to a shady area to avoid overheating my dog. Lastly, please leave a water bowl near this house in whatever weather!Madz64

This is one of the best dog houses I have ever had. I love that its light weight but very sturdy dog house. I have never seen a vent on a dog house, but I have to say that is a genius idea for all dogs. My dogs like that it's roomy and keeps them warm on the cooler and hot days. I like that. The dog house is stylish and easy to move around. During storms, it keeps my dogs safe and dry, which I love. This dog house brought many smiles to my dogs' face as well as providing a comfortable home for them.rana

Bought this for our 7 month old Pyrador puppy, who has already outgrown one house. It was easy to put together, and the sturdist dog house we've ever seen. Plus being insulated is perfect for a cold Indiana winter. She's huge and still growing and loves it. The first night she slept in front of it despite dog treats inside. Second night was cooler, she decided to check it out so the head and front paws went thru the swinging door first, and after she had stood that way for about 5 minutes, walked all the way in, and has loved it ever since. From the size if it unless she grows as much as Clifford the big red dog, she'll get to enjoy for a lifetime.PJ

We got this house for a new Boxador puppy so that it can spend most of its time outside. We found it to be a good product. It was easy to put together and does stay much warmer than the outside air. In rainy weather, it stays dry. It is a very large house which would work for a lab or other large dog. No problems with the dog using the door. Only suggestion: add nuts and bolts for the 6 screws. Screwing metal into plastic is not a real good plan. I'm assuming the company will have replacement parts (door, window, etc…) available for my investment!Y Robinson

I received the collar and opened it to put on my cat. I immediately noticed the pleasant smell of the collar and how soft and flexible the collar was. It went on with ease and was simple to put on. The purple color was a nice contrast as well. The cat is leaving it alone and when I pick her up that light scent was very nice and not over powering. I highly recommend the color for comfort, style and I really like that the effectiveness is for 7 months. Before using the collar I had a situation were my other pet who is a dog woke up one morning and couldn't walk and was in pain. As it turned out he had contracted lymes disease from a tick. He is doing better but was on medication for a month and a very expensive hospital visit for him. My decision was to get collars that I can trust and be confident in. That is why Hartz was the choice for me. It lasts 7 months and I don't have to worry about any of my animals for the season. With it being so easy to put on and having it last long is a bonus. I received a Hartz® UltraGuard® Flea & Tick Collar for Dogs – White in exchange for a review. I loved the fact that there is enough length in the collar that it would fit multiple size dogs. I put this on my 62 pound Pittie the very first day I received it. I did have a little trouble getting the end through the buckles but luckily, my dog is very patient. I haven’t noticed any adverse effects on his skin nor scratching where the collar is. I do have some very tall grass that he likes to run and play in on a regular basis and I typically use some sort of OTC drops from the store. I have not found a single flea or tick on him since I started using the collar and definitely recommend anyone giving it a try before spending a fortune at their local veterinarian.SexyCougar

My dogs go to the groomer for their baths every 6 weeks and I was shocked when they told me my german shepherd had a few fleas on him and the groomer informed me that fleas were bad this year because my dogs have never had fleas., so in a rush, I ordered these flea collars and they seem to work but I also use a spray bottle with 1 cup of apple cider vinegar mixed with 2 cups of water and spray it on my hands then rub my dogs down before they go outside in the mornings first of day then I spray their beds a spritz of it and voila!!!! no more fleas!!!!!! I also used the Hartz flea and tick drops which also works along with everything else. I like a clean house and just can't deal with fleas !!! Now we are back to a normal household without the company of fleas !!!!Pamela

I love how you get to write your doll's pet's name on the calk part, which makes it very realist compared to a real doghouse. The food and water bowl part is really cute and I love how it comes with a collar, in case you loose a collar for the pet. I love the balls and chew toys and most of all the dog bone, which is really cute and very realistic, once again.The rope toy is cute, too. I also like the bed a lot, though small, I love how colorful it is. I love the house itself, even though it's pretty small for all the things that the set comes with. I also like how the roof opens when in use. However, my absolute favorite part is the newspaper, because it's very creative and funny.rattlesnake547

From the time we opened this until bed time, my daughter didn’t stop playing with this. She even took it outside with her to play with. It was fun for her to use this with her dogs, and other little animal toys she had. Some pieces are on the smaller side so keep this in mind when buying for younger kids! This dog house is much larger than I thought and for the price totally worth it! OG has added some great thoughtful accessories to this dog house; including the newspaper. I like that you can open the one flap for easier play. This is very helpful for children with younger siblings that want to join in on the play. They can easily access the puppies being placed inside and enjoy the fun. Be careful with younger children as many of the puppy items are small and could be a choking hazard for the hand to mouth little ones. I just want to share our experience with the Veterinarian formula clinically care Dog shampoo. I just moved into this apartment complex Jun 2019 and on June 26 2020 picture one. We had a opportunity to rescue this beautiful black dog with some white under her neck (red when we got her because of the leash the lady had on her was twice the size she should’ve had and it rubbed her neck raw where she tied her outside). So as soon as we seen her we knew we wanted to bring her to our loving home where I share my home with my fiancé and 3 children. The ages 12,15,&18. So that day we brought her home and because she was tied outside a lot so with that . We immediately gave her a flea and tick bath and used Walmart brand flea and tick repellent. For her to wear around her neck (Now think about it … her life has completely changed at this point and she was loving it)Then we allowed her to roam the house and to find her spots. All she came with was a cage for her size a bag of Ol Roy and a 2 way oversized hoodies. The lady said here is her food and she’s uses the bathroom outside (obviously) and I asked how will she tell me she has to go? She said not to worry she’ll let ya know then she laughed…. Since having her home after a few hrs she started to warm up us… trusting us. She came with dog food she refused to eat!! Absolutely refused so we got her kibbles and bits and she loves it!! She was wagging her tail with enjoyment and happiness! So I figured she was ok with us. As far as her activity she was active she wasn’t showing a bit of grieving one bit as far as we could tell. (However, with going to the bathroom situation she was horrible at first peed everywhere and pooped behind couches and such but I’ve converted over to puppy pads.) THAT WAS A JOB! yay! Then over a few weeks I noticed her itching and scratching and over the weeks progressively gotten worse… The second Picture (Waiting at the Vets in the floor of the car) I took her to the Vet see if it’s allergies,nerves, etc . Because it started out of no where with no warning signs other then the scratching and scratching so he prescribed a steriod to take at home and a shot of steroids an with giving her those it chilled her down from scratching as much as she was and seemed to be helping but the after a few months she has now gotten even worse than she was she was bleeding all over!! The third picture is her second time to the vet trying to get more information and help not a lot was given but he did say he believes it may be a a airborne allgrine and she would need a shot every 6-8wks she is clothed we couldn’t bare showing how her skin looked was awful (winter she was bare skin with several abrasions where she begun biting herself )😭😭 so after that visit I researched Amazon for help researched google and ran across this shampoo and God am I so ever glad because after a few washes here she is today looks sooo shiny she now looks like picture number 4&5 !!!! You guys saved my baby from the awful painful experience we had. And you guys KILLED IT!!!! ❤️👏🏻Ashley Chaney

Adopted a pocket bully from a lady 2 weeks ago and noticed he had what she called 'hotspots' ALL OVER him. We felt so bad and wanted to do something quick but wasn't sure wat it was exactly that he was enduring. So we picked up coconut oil and fish oil pills to start him on for his coat and skin. Well as healed within a week but noticed REALLY inflamed and almost bleeding rashes on back of his neck and knew we had to do something. Went to Walmart today and found this stuff because we came to the conclusion it has to be se type of skin condition dermititis or parasitic…wasn't too sure but his skin was soooo dandruffy and flaking . Used this as soon as we got home. Followed directions. Left on for 15 minutes ….after he dried off noticed NO DANDRUFF FLAKES!! I rubbed down his back and his back wasn't crunching up from inflammation like it usually does wen I softly scratch down his back . instantly shiny and softer . Happy dog. Neck sores aren't irritating him and are clearly already in healing process.Rachel Kennedy

My 14 year old Chihuahua had weeks of horrible itching and scratching. He had terrible hard scales peeling off of his back that started in small patches and then spread to most of his back. Some of the spots started to bleed. I could not afford hundreds of dollars the vet wanted just for lab tests alone. I kept special Vasaline on him and that helped some. My wife wanted my little faithful pal put down but I couldn't do it. I researched this medicine and after one treatment for 15 minutes he had INSTANT relief from scratching! On the third day I did the second treatment and he was already healing and the scaly crap was washing off. I am now on the sixth day and fourth treatment and he is totally healed and it looks like his hair is growing back. THANK GOD! My little pal stays wrapped up in warm towels after he is soaked down with about 3 spoons worth and warm water. It goes a LONG way!! After 15 minutes I rinse him off very good. The old boy jumps around and wags his tail. You can tell he is really happy after 2-3 months of hell. Thank You!!!thislilpiggie

Works well. Sprayer wasn't working so I needed to buy a new one but other than that, it worked ok to stop the constant bleeding. It is difficult to get the dog to sit still long enough to spray but that's not the product's fault.GingerMcG

My Rotti was recently neutered and completely licked out all stitches which left him with an open wound. I sprayed this product on durning the morning by the evening the wound had closed!!! Took him to the vet and they said “keep doing what you are doing” ! 100% Recommend!!!Ro Benson

I bought this when my dog ripped her stitches open and the vet recommended keeping a bandage on the wound. No other bandages would stay so decided to give this a try. It did keep the wound covered, it didn’t let the wound heal though. (It was a decent size gash). Also, it says it’s non-stinging but my dog jumped every time it was sprayed on, so it definitely stung to some extent. Overall, would use again for small scrapes. But not as good of a product that I was hoping for.Palindrome

This house is exactly as it is shown online, in person. Super easy to assemble (PRO TIP- push parts together with some pressure until you hear a click!) Only downside is base is thin and I wish there was the option for a riser below to bring it slightly off of ground level. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and feel the cost is very fair!Megan
