Our 6 year old Aldo was a rescue from the floods in the Mississippi area and was sent down here in SoFL with so many other rescues. We picked him from our local Humane Society & he was a very scared 2 month old. He has given us sui much love & happiness. On his 6th bday we found out he has Osteosarcoma in his right rear leg. We have tried several different anti inflammatory medications for our 13 year old Aussie with arthritis issues. He has now been on Metacam for a couple of months and it seems to be working the best with no adverse side effects. It is easy to dispense once a day on his food. The only problem currently seems to be a general shortage in the supply of the medication. My 17 year old snowshoe Siemese has some painful decline. The only thing is to keep him comfortable with an anti-inflammatory. We had the labs done, spoke with our vet and we give him the .5 in the morning dose and the 1.5 at night. The Metacam smells like honeysuckle and my Dusty comes up and will put his face up to me, he wants his meds. He is comfortable and eating better than before the Metacam. The 2 different doses don't leave him dopey but he is alert during the day and by early morning he is ready to eat his morning meal. We do our best to keep his metcam around the same time and every now and again he will need another .5 in afternoon if he has upset stomach and he will come to me for another light dose. His points have darkened and his weight is a little above 7#'s. He has always been a smaller cat especially compared to his brother whom we lost going on 3 years. My dog went a few days with excessive "goop" from his eyes. Since my dog hasn't had a history with this, and doesn't seem to have seasonal allergies, the vet suggested an antimicrobial for the eye irritation and I went with this ophthalmic gel based on the luck I've had with other Vetericyn products in the past. I started with a tiny drop on the corner of my dog's eye to be sure he wouldn't have any reaction to it. Later that day, I went ahead and applied a few drops in each of his eyes. I applied the gel two times a day for three days in a row and by the fourth day his eyes had stopped having discharge. It is almost like my dog knew the drops would make him feel better as he kept his head very still when I applied the gel to his eyes. The shape of the dispenser where you squeeze the product out of makes it very easy to apply the gel to their eyes. While it is a "gel," it comes out of the dispenser fairly quickly which I find allows for an accurate application. The gel-like substance is great to confirm that you got the gel where you want it to go. Went out one morning and caught a glimpse of what looked like a little scratch on my horses eye. Upon inspection the eye itself was untouched but the eyelid was cut about an inch long from the back corner towards the front. I cleaned it and figured I would just leave it alone. I was reluctant to get this when it sys fits all pill sizes and it comes in a 4 OZ container. It is an entirely new concept on hiding pills., Instead of a preformed pocket to put the pill in you create it. I opened the container and what I found was one big round ball much like play-dough. What a simple idea. My large dog takes 4 pills every morning and we may be able to mask the first few but after that it is a struggle with the old single pill pockets. With this I was able to take two at a time (I probably could do all 4 but if he spits it out it would be very messy) roll enough dough around it that he was more than happy to eat it. This product is magical for cats with any respiratory complaints or herpes. I use religiously every day on top of a lik-e-lix and my Oriental who has had cat flu and suspected herpes in the past now has clean and bright eyes and no sneezing episodes. Our little Singapura cat has upper respiratory issues that cause constant sneezing and the mess association with a blocked nose. Life was miserable for him and us. One 2ml application of Enisyl F each night has almost completely solved the problem. Only occasional sneezes and mess. I have been giving Liquid Immuno by RX Vitamins to my cat Feya for several years and it is so good for her that she is always excited when I give it to her. My 12 year old chihuahuas liver blood work came back very very high so her vet put her on Denamarin. When we did her follow up blood work 4 months later her numbers tripled.
