My dog suffers from hot spots on his feet and it makes him just miserable as one heals and another pops up in a different spot. I like this waterless shampoo because it’s plant based without any harmful chemicals, it’s non greasy foam has a pleasant clove & eucalyptus scent that kills fleas and eggs on contact. we got this for our dog who unfortunately, got fleas from an airbnb we stayed at, but I like that it has more natural ingredients. We put the foam on our hand and rubbed it down the back of my dog. it didn't bother him or have any weird reactions.. it seemed to kill the fleas pretty quickly but we waited about an hour or two and gave him a bath and noticed all the dead fleas coming off. we waited for him to dry and after a few hours, applied this again to his back area. seems to work really well and we had no issues with it irritating him or causing any harm. we also used a flea comb to help brush it through his hair to really get in there and kill the fleas. Years ago, Fresh N Clean was the only shampoo that seemed to keep my golden with a thick ruff smelling nice for quite a long time, even after he swam in ponds. When I do therapy visits with the dogs, even if it's been a couple weeks since a bath, I get comments on how nice they smell, and since the scent is not overpowering, I can still use it if I need to give a bath within 24 hours before a hospital visit. I have a 10-year-old Bichon Frise with a lot of fluffy coat that takes a lot of effort in the shampoo and grooming process. The Vetericyn FoamCare product was very easy to use and provided ample amounts of lather to thoroughly clean my dog. The Vericyn FoamCare easily washed out thoroughly and left my dog's coat smelling clean and fresh. The included conditioner made it very easy for me to complete his grooming. I was very pleased when blow-drying his coat and being able to fluff his hair to give him the traditional Bichon look. My Bichon has sensitivities to many brands of shampoos. Giving my Samoyed a bath is always a tedious, tiring task. The amount of time is directly related to the amount of hair and she has a lot. With typical shampoos I always ended up over shampooing one area and barely touching others as where the shampoo landed is where it would get well dispersed and other areas were left with the run off because otherwise I'd be bathing her for hours to work in shampoo and rinse it off. This was a great shampoo for my chihuahua. She has a skin condition and is constantly itching herself. I feel that it’s very gentle and doesn’t cause any buildup or irritation. I’ve been using this product for 5 months now and probably won’t switch up shampoos for her. The smell is so nice! It doesn’t have a strong odor and her reaction to it is pleasant. The bottle is a good size and the price is a little up there. I don’t mind spending more for a food product though. I would recommend this to all dog lovers with little pups.venus.i
This is a very good company and they have good products for humans and pets. My dog, unfortunately, happens to have very dry sensitive itchy skin. Especially during flea season. Just one flea bite and it's off to the races. She has severe "flea bites venom" allergy. So flea season I have to be hyper vigilant with everything from yard, home, pet flea and tick treatment, and grooming. I purchased this one day because I know that oatmeal is very soothing to itchy dry skin. I have used regular oatmeal as a paste and as a bath/rinse with very good results. This shampoo smells good, it was a little higher priced but I was OK as long as the results were equal to the price point. Sadly, I was not impressed. In this case it was the name brand reputation was bigger than the results. while it did clean her fur thoroughly and nicely , she was scratching a lot within the first few hours after her bath. And she was properly rinsed. I spend triple the time rinsing.  I put her back in the shower and rinsed her with the homemade oatmeal bath that I use. Regular old-school oatmeal, mixed with water, and just use it as a soak/rinse. I also put in a few drops of high-quality Teatree oil, the mother of apple cider vinegar, and a cup of chamomile tea. that's my homemade treatment for itchy sensitive skin this shampoo, for the price, did not meet my expectations. I have gotten similar if not better results from shampoos that were 1 to 5 dollars a bottle. Keep in mind this is just my opinion and my results on my dog. If you are using it for a regular shampoo and not expecting treatment for itchy red skin, I believe you will be satisfied. fran.c
This is a great natural dog shampoo that i use on my dog regularly. I used to use a lot of product, like a quarter of the bottle every time I bathed my fur baby. I was told from my groomers to create a foam with some water and soap in a bottle and it makes the product lather better and uses so much less! My fur baby suffers from itchy skin and this shampoo seems to temporarily relieve that! I enjoy using this on my dog! This shampoo did not disappoint and I am happy with the results Im getting. I also like that Burt Bees doesn't have toxic chemicals in they're products which is what lead me to this purchase. I can often find it at Marshalls for a good price. It’s a bit pricey at the pet stores but not outrageously so. But so worth the money in my opinion.megan.w
