Turkey Leg Dog Toy For Sale (2024 Update)

I've been buying Nylabones for every single one of my dogs for over a decade now, because they are the only toys that last longer than a week! I have an AmStaff, a Pittie, a Chihuahua, and a Chi-Pin and all 4 of them have the same veracious chewing habits. My small dogs strangely prefer all of the larger Nylabone models meant for bigger dogs over the teeny tiny ones meant for them, lol..don't ask me why, but they do! With daily usage from all 4 of my dogs, they tend to last anywhere from 9-12 months, until the big dogs whittle them down to what I call "shanks" (they tend to get a bit pointy/jagged on whatever end has been chewed on more)..and then once they become too small & unsafe for the big dogs, I just remove them and give them to the little dogs in another part of the house [away from the big dogs], and they continue enjoying these "nubs" for another 9-24 months. That being said, these "nubs" don't get chewed on daily by the small dogs since they prefer the largest/most intact Nylabones in the house lol. I've tried soooo many other brands of toys from multiple pet stores/other big box retail chains over the years, but these are the only consistent and affordable chew toys I've been able to find over the years..not to mention, all of my dogs LOVE them! The only other toy my dogs have not managed to destroy is their original Kongs, but literally, everything else typically gets destroyed within just a few short minutes-just a few days. For those worried about the dogs chewing off little pieces, that's kind of the point of these bones….why do you think most of them are flavored, lol..?? It's made of nontoxic ingredients that are safe and easily digestible, so I wouldn't worry about that. In my 14+ year tenure of owning dogs (esp. ones that are hardcore chewers w/ super strong jaws), NEVER have any of my dogs, no matter their size/breed, ever had any issues w/ digesting these bones..so fear not, fellow canine lovers! 🙂 Highly recommend ANY of the DuraChew Nylabones, esp. for dogs who are super orally fixated/hardcore chewers!!tboytrey

My boy loves this chew toy! I love this chew toy! They last a really long time, (at least for him) and they hold up really well to all of his shenanigans with it. In the 13 years I've had my dog I've only had to buy 3 of these, and one was bought only because he dropped it into a river while on a boat. It goes everywhere with him. Doesn't shred badly and he seems to enjoy the taste for the duration of it's life.dawn.m

I have tried all sorts of Kongs, smaller nylabones, soccer and rubber balls that my two dogs can't even get their mouths around, and they still find a way to destroy their toys. Anyone who has a power chewer knows that some dogs will chew with the front teeth to find a spot to tear open. Though this particular nylabone is large and expensive, it has held up to both my dogs' chewing for three months now. So far, they haven't chewed either end down, though it can get rough on the edges. No toy is permanent, but if you are looking for a toy that will last, this is one. I've seen reviews where people could not get their dogs to bother with this toy and thus rated them low because they spent the money on them. All I can say is that is not the manufacturer's fault. Some dogs just do not like certain chew toys. These nylabones are blocky and heavy and probably not meant for a small dog or one who doesn't like the weight to carry around. The product description states that it has a chicken flavor. One thing I will point out is that if it does, it does not have an odor that I can smell, unlike many other toys that have flavors infused in them. I'm sure that's a tactic to appeal to the dog more but for mine it doesn't make a difference. I'm just glad I can't smell it.' I would rather give it 0 **. Bought a Bullymake dog treat tire for $18.00. Liked the guarantee. My boxer destroyed it in less than 10 days. Contacted company and they only warrant their products if you buy the bully box, not from single outside companies like Tractor Supply. Worthless products and customer service. We have all three colors of large jive balls for our very destructive goldendoodle chewers! The jive ball is a win win at our house! Every other toy does not last a day. WESTPAW has stellar customer service and I tell everyone I know about this company. I highly recommend the jive ball. IF they had more toys as strong as that ball I would buy them all. From the moment Belle’s jive ball got here it’s been her go-to ball. Belle, who is a registered wrecking ball, destroys or eviscerates every toy (if you consider my Furnature a toy) we’ve introduced to her. Not the jive. Our trainer, Marty Strausbaugh of Pawsitive Training, suggested your company and specifically the jive ball. And boy I’m glad he did. I confess I use it in the house when the weather is inclement. I bowl in across the living room thru the dining area into the kitchen over and over and over again. I wish I had a video to show but I can’t bowl and photo at the same time. I’m including a picture of Belle, the Vizsla wrecking ball, just so you know what she looks like. Our other dog, Rhett Butler, is content with tennis balls for dogs, but Belle takes the toupees off of them and eats the rubber. I have an American Staffordshire Terrier and an American Pitbull Terrier. As other owners of these breeds can likely attest they can pretty much destroy anything short of steel and concrete. I purchased all sorts of toys for my pups and nothing lasted more than ten minutes before having to take it away and through it in the trash due to being torn to pieces or in the process of. I bought toys from Kong, Supper Chewer, Bully Make and others. Every toy except for the standard Kong Cone and a rubber soda can made it. My wife found West Paw and I gave them a shot. These toys are fantastic! They have lasted for months! They are so good that I can actually let them play with these unattended. Take my word for it, if you have a doggo that can chew through anything then these are the toys you need. Now, if West Paw would just make a crate pad out of this material and I would be in paradise.Kerry R.

Laney loves the Rumpus. It goes through the air well and bounces in many directions when it hits the ground. Laney loves chasing after it and chewing on its round ends. The ends are not too sharp or edged so it’s difficult for her rip the the ends. Yeah! Excellent design.Dawn D.

We have an Alaskan Husky (now 11 mos old) who is a serious chewer! So far we have ordered Hurley, Rumpus, Tux, and Qwizl and they have proved to be indestructible! YAY! We are very relieved that they are not made of smelly rubber (which she won't touch). 5 stars for all, but the wobbly ball JIVE really takes the prize. I bought the small toppls and my two cavaliers love them. I've used it at dinner time with soft foods and some chopped up pieces of prime100 and it kept them busy for a good 7-ish minutes (which is much longer than the few seconds it usually takes them to practically inhale their food). I love that it can be used with kibble as well as a treat dispenser (although you need to buy two different sized ones to do this). Overall very impressed, but I would recommend waiting until they're on sale to buy.smp

These are amazing. We're in the process of diagnosing some GI issues with our 8 month puppy, and she's on a very limited diet and can't have any treats, chews or bones. It's a terrible age to not be able to give anything but prescription food. She can't be trusted with soft toys or rope toys, and has no interest in kongs or other rubber things. These are perfect for keeping her busy. We pack her kibble and some wet food in them and freeze them. They take her a good 30 minutes or more to finish, and she has yet to damage one. Plus, they're super easy to clean. I just throw them in the dishwasher!Michelle

This is awesome for feeding frozen raw! My lab just loves to work at getting her frozen dinner out and it takes her ages to eat. (In a normal bowl, it would be hoovered up within seconds). Easily takes up to 130g raw.pages_unread

I love all the nylabone products and hate, I know it's kind of a harsh word but it's the only one that fits my feeling, rawhide anythings. I had a husky/lab mix several years ago. She was about 10 years old at the time. She was chewing on a large rawhide bone in my mom's room and I was next door in my room. Suddenly, frantically my mom yelled for me to come into her room. I ran in and saw my dog choking. With no thought to the fact that she could have bitten my arm off I immediately opened her mouth and pulled out the rawhide bone she was chewing on (one side got soft so she must have thought she could swallow it without thinking about the rest that wasn't soft which I grabbed on to), pulled it out and threw it right in the garbage. That was about 10 years ago. I basically saved her life that night. I dread the thought of what might have happened if I weren't home that night. She lived another 5 years (until age 15) after that incident which the vet said was phenomenal for as large a dog as she was. Then I found the nylabone products and these are the only items that I feel safe leaving down for my dog or any of my foster dogs when I go to work. I have a variety of shapes and sizes. I even recommend these products to everyone I meet who are considering rawhide. Yes they are more expensive than rawhide but not having to worry about my dog(s) choking to death while I am at work are much more important to me.Dolores1

My fault as I did not realize the product was such a hard plastic feel. My GSD didn't like it at first but eventually chewed a bit on the nylabone stick but it made hard sharp teeth marks and she started coughing from the little pieces coming off. Maybe fine if this product is just used to throw and retrieve but I would not recommend it as a chew toy.Simone

I bought the large dumbbell toy for my Staffordshire Bull Terrier to play with and the brand Kong are mostly indestructible. Shell play and chew on it for hours. She's managed to chew off the yellow outer skin on one of the dumbbells. But not destroyed it, yet! I'll only let my young girl have soft toys to play with it when supervised though as I left her with two kong toys she'd had for Christmas day. I was only gone 3 hours and the l Kong tennis ball had been chewed into pieces of rubber all over her XL crate. She is a chewer. So I wouldn't leave her unattended with any Kong soft kong toys in case of her doing the same and swallowing pieces. Fast deliverycraddoad

I have to start off by saying this was Enzos favorite toy of all!! He absolutely loved it. Picked out from the rest the moment he saw it. It's not as strong as I would like it to be be but I found it to be affordable for the size and quality of the product . It lasted a couple of days and then he started tearing off the material to get to the squeaker as its always the first to go in a toy. He still played with the naked ball until he finally chewed it up. I will defiantly be purchasing one for the Christmas stocking this year. We ordered this for out dog. He loves to catch and chase toys so we thought this would be perfect. Sadly it didn’t last. My dog was immediately obsessed with this toy. It has multiple squeakers to keep them entertained for a while. The fabric is strong but the stitching for the limbs is not. My dog got one of the legs off after just about 20 minutes. Otherwise, it would be a 5 star toy.Vb26

My dog, Kody has both the skinny and chubby chickens. Their names are Abbott and Costello and they have been his favorite toys for years. They are well made and their squeakers have held up from hours of play and love. A friend of mine just got a new puppy and my gift to the puppy was Skinny Chicken. The long, skinny legs are perfect for chewing and holding onto while dragging the toy around. The short, crinkly wings are fun, too — as judged by Kody & the new puppy. When the puppy gets bigger, she'll be able to squeak the squeakers on her own, giving her something to master. Kody is 10 years old and LOVES his Mr. Chicken. Abbott is dirty, but still totally intact after years of play. Could Skinny Chicken be torn up? Yes. Our border collie could destroy a kevlar vest in minutes and this toy wouldn't last a second because she has to destroy everything she gets her paws on. Bought this for my 1&1/2 year old doberman who loves chew toys. Too bad for the rooster, he didn't make it past the first chew session. His comb was the first to go, then his eyes. To be fair, she destroys all her chew toys, even the ones that are advertised as tough. The search continues for the toy that will stand up to her destructive chewing, luckily she has kept it to her toys so far. I decided to give the Tizzi a try as a fetching toy for my Golden. Big hit! She loves playing with this on her own with some lunch meat rolled in the the center and legs twisted, or another new chew toy find. She does not unstuff plush toys. This was for my two pitbulls. They tore off the end parts pretty quickly. Not as fast as other toys, but it only took them a couple of days. The rest, however, is still all there. I'm pretty surprised because they do chew on it regularly.Alex R

This is a buddy dispenser when it's in rotation. My Golden already brings me empty dispensers to refill, so with this one after her asking for a few refills, I decided to change up the game. Hide the Tiz, she finds it and brings it to be filled with some dehydrated lung and a smear of cream cheese or meat puree. Repeat. Our lab immediately loved these! So handy that you can unscrew the top and change bottles inside so easily. Only downside is the plastic bottle use isn't environmentally friendly, but at least if you have water bottles, they get a second life with your dog.GR

This is NOT a puzzle toy. The treat compartment is wide open, anything you put in there falls right out. Even frozen concoctions. You may as well just use an ice cube tray. I contacted West Paw for suggestions of what might work, and they recommended all their other models. I don't think so…Marty W.

Had to get the moose because it's soooo cute and we love the duraplush fuzzballs! The moose is a bit larger than expected, but that's a good thing. Same material as the fuzzballs so its going to last a while even with a super chewer like I have. Highly recommend!Stacy

I have one similar as you can see in the photo. It is bigger n designed a bit different however…my girl uses so much force that I have to hold it with my feet or it will go flying. It is so worth it since she enjoys playing games so much! With this one though, I swear I going to have to get goggles…lolbee

This appears to be a high quality toy, but not what I expected. My dog is all about the squeak and I thought this was something he could just chomp down on to get that beloved sound. This is soft but very thick and the only way I could get it to squeak was to bend it quite aggressively in the middle, something my 24 lb dog just isn't capable of doing. Would be great for fetch or for bigger dogs who like to chew.sly1074

My medium-sized cocker spaniel loves this Hyper Pet Dura Squeaks Stick. She loves to gnaw on toys until she can break them or poke a hold on them. HOwever, she has yet to do this! These toys hold up amazing and I would highly recommend these to anyone who has a dog who will break almost any toy!kelly.k
