Only giving 4 stars NOT because these toys aren't good but because I'm reviewing the elephant and there isn't a picture of the elephant to review. And the warthog is the same in size .. my dog is a very aggressive chewer . And she shreds everything . But tuffy toys shockingly last a long time around here. The ones without the squeakers are built pretty tough and the Elmer the elephant is what I bought my baby Nova for her 6th birthday this year and she hasn't left it alone since. She has beaten the heck out of it and has chewed at the tusks and trunk A LOT and it hasn't ripped at all. So I am highly recommending the larger tuffys like the large warthog. For high prey driven dogs and dogs that usually destroy toys with squeakersshannon.e

We bought two tuffy toys for our 8 month old beagle as after seeing the fantastic reviews we thought these would be perfect for a destructive chewer and the answer to our troubles. Unfortunately she managed to destroy them both within a couple of weeks. The barnyard bunny went first, totally split underneath, the ultimate toy lasted slightly longer but she managed to chew the edging off and remove a squeaker. Very disappointed.Emily

At first sight my dog was very excited to play with his new toy. He is a small/medium dog but more on the smaller side, after only 5 minutes of him trying to get his treat out the banana, a big chunk rips off. Luckily I was there to grab the plastic chunk so he wouldn't choke on it. The "hardness" is the same as a cheap toy you would find at the dollar store.
