So dangerous. The clasp has come off multiple times and lead my dog to run off on the road. He’s a young pup so he’s in training and this is absolutely ridiculous! You think you’d have better quality clasp control since the leash was double the price of regular leashes. Very upset about this as it continues to occur. Also only had the leash for a couple months and it’s faded/tearing. Not impressed AT ALL. Will be throwing this leash out to prevent from further scares.Julia

Gooby makes some great products. Not only do I like their harnesses, but love their matching leashes that coordinate with them. I own 3 of them (red, black, and blue) and love that the mesh fabric gives the leash a lightweight feel. They are durable and are made well. I just don't recommend your dog chewing the rubber parts near the hook or handle because if they break the rubber, thick metal wire to construct the leash, becomes exposed and the leash becomes useless so the dog or owner does not get cut. Yes. My pup chewed the rubber and that's how I learned how the leash was constructed. It's not the fault of the company whatsoever, it's the owner not watching the pup a bit more closely. The leash itself looks great. As mentioned previously, the latch that attaches to the dog's harness (using the carhartt harness with the two loops) the clasp begins to separate when our dog pulls on the leash slightly. Fearing that it would completely come off the harness, we switched sides of the leash attached to the dog but now we lose out on the shock absorbing portion as we hold him close. Would have been better with the same typical latch on both sides of the leash.CJ

My service dog owns a lg variety of leashes and since this one was purchased for her I never reach for a different one. The convenience and quality are definitely above many other brands. Anyone complaining about their dog chewing through the leash with teeth made to kill and crunch bones seriously need to access their poor choice for buying a product not specifically made and advertised as being for challenging chewers. Very effective positive behavior correcting training tutorials are available and work amazingly well. Our fur buddies need and deserve the effort for their safety! No regular use product of any brand should receive negative comments or to be scored lower on reviews based on an outlier behavior from a pet. That isn't, by any standard, a flaw in the design, appearance, or construction. A request to design and produce a chain leash with their quality hold loops & metal work with other amenities if workable, would be perfect though. I prefer the carabiner style leashes, this is one of the few on the market still… though I see it's on clearance at the moment. Better yet, this has a locking latch, making it even more secure with anti-pull and other front attach harnesses. The length is long enough to allow the dog to go in front or behind on narrow paths/tough terrain, which can be very handy at times. If these are on clearance, I'll likely clear out my local stores… I like them that much. My only complaint is the handle.
