After one treatment he was peaceful. It didn't smell great (not terrible) and left his hair oily. But after another bath he was back to crying and scratching incessantly. About 6 months ago, my cat, who has feline leukemia, stopped eating, was constantly vomiting, sleeping, and cringed whenever I touched her. Thanks to all the reviews I thought I’d give this a go. My dog Einstein had another vascular tumor removed (2nd time, same place) on his inner front left upper leg. Considered how common feline hyperthyroidism is, people should be aware that some medicinal mushrooms contained in here, stimulate the endocrine system. My elderly cat stopped responding to his anti-thyroid meds, with thyroid hormone rising contstantly. I sent an email to Bixbi (the maker of these products) inquiring about the thyroid and Maitake's and Shiitake's endocrine stimulating qualities. Purchased this product along with BSST to help our 7-year-old Golden mix build up her immunity to hopefully fight off any more mast cell tumors. While reading other recommendations, I discovered that it is good for older pets, as well, who may need their immunity bolstered simply because of age. 5he skin soother is a great as described! My pup got an abrasion on the side of her snout. The healing process made it itchy so she'd rub her face on the carpet thus rubbing off the scab and the wound would bleed and we had to start the healing process over. I put skin soother on her abrasion at bed time. The next morning it wasn't red and angry looking and she didn't rub her face on the carpet. My 5 year old American Bulldog is white and has very sensitive skin. He plays and works hard. Since he was a puppy he's been prone to skin issues especially under his belly. Mites are a big problem where I live and can really cause him problems. Ive found that this shampoo as a supplement to his regular shampoo gets rid of these skin irritations. If you want sulfur in your shampoo, this is the stuff. My dog has some mange on the underside from laying in the grass I guess. He's only on the lawn when I'm out with him, no walk in the woods, etc. This seems to be getting rid of it. I am also using a 10% ointment rubbing on the two areas. After two weeks, the scoptic scabies are almost gone. I tried neem oil and the other home stuff, but nothing worked like this shampoo and the 10% ointment.
