I run multiple dogs at a time , this collar system has very easy controls to operate without stopping to look at it. All the buttons have great placement unlike other multi dog brands that require additional steps. The power to reach your dog is impressive, many other collars wont penetrate heavy cover this one is the best..Brazdas fly fishing
Battery life is excellent. Have had the collar for three months now training my dog twice a week with the collar being on for three hours at a time. Haven’t had to charge either the remote or the receiver once. Great quality, suited well for every dog no matter the size or level of pressure they may need to get a proper correction.ADAM B.

Reviews:
We adopted a dog who is a nervous guy and not food motivated. He would bark at people walking by our house and wouldn’t come when he was called. I used this collar to train him and only had to use the static stimulation twice on the lowest setting and now just use the tone. This collar with the proper training makes a world of difference.Dave153227
Four months ago we picked up a 3 year old yellow lab at a shelter near Denver. The dog is lovable, has had some hunting experience, but was WILD when we got him. It was necessary to keep him tethered at all times, or he was GONE for 20 minutes pursuing some scent in the nearby forest (we back up to public land). I purchased this device in the hopes I could control him. To my surprise I discovered he must have had some time with a similar device. He instantly responded to the Tone/Vibration mode. When he would start to take off, one tap on that mode made him instantly come back. Only if he chased a deer on hikes did I have to "tingle" him a little. He would immediately drop the chase. Now I can take a hike with him in the forest, without a leash, & he stays right with me, if wearing the collar.mstar5
I bought the sport dog 425x for my lab a few months ago & loved it but it recently fell off him while we were walking on a trail and I was never able to find it. For the money it costs, I don’t think it should fall off that easily. I then bought the 825x, but I’m not sure I recommend this collar for extremely active dogs.esport dog collar

Reviews:
I have an adopted fur-baby that had a lot of control and behavior issues. Training, the usual way was just not working. I tried this and, within one day, the disruptive behavior (running and tearing up things in the house, jumping from one piece of furniture to another, non-stop barking) all stopped. He began with sitting, immediately after only two "vibrations" of the collar. By the end of the week, all I had to do was take out the remote control, say the words of sit, stay, no and wait, and he did so. Now, I don't have to use the remote at all but just say the words. I will tell you that, under no circumstances would I recommend the "shock" feature. Because it is easily changed on this model, by accident, I found out, the hard way just how much it hurts the animal. If you click MODE, by accident, from it being on vibrate, it switches over to Shock. BE VERY CAREFUL when you are about to use the Y button, for sound or vibration as, if it's on shock–and this was the very low setting–the dog whelps loudly and jumps, shakes, etc. I would not recommend it for any animal lover as, I don't even want to know what it feels like. Because the vibration is strong, even on low settings, and the other setting of "beep" is a high frequency sound, I found them the most effective. Thebeep sound is for Guiness (my new family member) to come–I use the vibration for correction, when needed. Guiness was the most difficult dog that I have worked with and I have behavioral training for dogs, which I have used for all of my pets. If this worked on him, it will work on most dogs that have behavioral issues. I would recommend it for the vibration and sound settings–and hope to get one that doesn't have the shock setting as, I feel that is just inhumane to use on a dog (my opinion after seeing how he reacted, on just a low setting). PLEASE USE CAREFULLY until you are used to the remote. That is my only advice when purchasing this for training.kelly4jesus
I have had the collar only a few days and so far it has met every expectation. We had a more expensive name brand training collar before this one which my dog somehow removed and chewed to oblivion. Rather than spend over $150 to replace it I wanted to try out a cheaper alternative in the likely event he ruins another one in the future. He had already been familiar with a training collar so going to this one was no problem. I like having a beep tone as well as a vibrate warning before having to go with a full on shock. I have so far only had the use the warning tone which is nice and loud on this collar and the pup recognizes it right away. It seems to have decent distance, have not tested the claimed 330 yards yet though. For the price it is a great unit with nice features. The more expensive one we had before was much more robust but I didnt expect this to be built the same for 1/5th the price, with that said it is built well, surprisingly well for the money honestly. Have not tested the waterproof ability yet as we dont live near water but it looks like it should be fine to get wet without issue. Battery life seems good so far, going on several days without a recharge but we dont use it all day either. Overall I am so far satisfied with it, I would recommend this toanyone who wants an inexpensive training collar but I dont expect it to last for years like the other one we had.kerr8719
Tested on an open field with the collar in line of sight, the range is roughly 150 feet. That said, I strongly doubt if any of the other e-collars can do much better without extraordinary antennas. Here in the US the transmitting power of devices like this is severely limited by law, so the only way to get more range than the competition is to have more prominent antennas. This collar delivers on a 2 year old high drive, 78 pound, male doberman. I used the shock once at 30 and it definitively got a yelp and the dog's attention. Since then the "vibrate" mode is effective enough. Most of the time we use the collar to stop barking at the window, The dog barks we say "quiet" and if, and only "if", the dog immediately barks again he gets a "vibrate". He seems to avoid barking immediately after a "quiet" command. Now the challenge is to extend the time he doesn't bark for at least 30 seconds after a "quiet" commend. Our second and very infrequent application is open field recalls. For that I'd dearly love an electric collar with a 100 yard range, but even this collar's 50 yard range is helpful. Using an e-collar in an open field is a tricky business. What seems to work is to put the collar away until you have a good recall without distractions. Even 10 feet in a hallway or tennis court teaches you and your dog how to do a recall that ends with the beast sitting nicely in front of you and getting a tasty reward. Never repeat your recall command even if it means constantly dragging the animal back until it figures our what you expect. What the e-collar is then useful for is dealing with distractions — another dog, an annoying squirrel or even sniffing a bit of chicken soup spilled nearby. Issue your recall command and look for that momentary hesitation when the animal decides to ignore you and hit the e-collar to remind the beast that you just gave a command. Any other timing and the animal has no clue and would just as easily take off in the opposite direction to get away from the unwelcome stimulation. One feature I miss is a combination tone/shock. Most dogs will quickly associate the tone with the shock and you'll *never* need to use a shock again. Aren't you glad you didn't ask? Aza D. Oberman 3/27/2018wwiernce

Hi. We just started using the collar on Saturday. It is amazing. Cleo is not uncomfortable and more settled. No more bunny hopping & barking (large german shepherd) at the front door when the postman comes. The neighbours are not complaining. We are home this week and keeping an eye on her and reafirming when she is quiet. I think the collar had only got to about level 2 a couple of times over the last couple of days. We just cannot beleive it!Nicole P.
Amazing product!!! I have a beautiful groodle, well trained and loved dearly. But her barking was out of control. Kids couldn't play ball without the constant barking. And a knock on the door would send her into a barking frenzy. Neighbours at the fence would have her barking for hours. We have tried many training techniques and even gadgets but without success. This bark collar worked like magic. Within two days we had a quiet house. We kept the collar on for two weeks, non stop. And she has not barked once. It changed our dog and our lives. We enjoy her company so much more now and the kids love playing with her without the barking. I wish I had found this product sooner. I strongly recommend this collar to anyone and everyone with a dog that has a barking problem. Worth every cent. Jo, from VictoriaJo K.
Researching and ordering the collar from the Bark Control website was seamless. The bark collar was received in short time via Australia Post Express. It appears to be well made and fairly robust. Operation of and fitting the collar is easy, directions are included and are simple to follow. We've had no barking complaints from our neighbours since changing to this collar so I guess it's working. it's far superior to our previous vibration type which was pretty much useless on our cattle dog. I would recommend this collar for tough barkers. Thanks.LEON P.

I purchased this collar for a new puppy I am training. I am very pleased to have the Tone/Vibration stimulation before going to shock. I have owned several collars over the years and purchased this to replace a Tri-Tronics XLS. The construction is lightweight, yet durable. Button placement is thoughtful and gives me quick control of the stimulation and beeper. I like the flexible configuration; even though, I had to call SportDog tech support to get it set the way I wanted. (they were very helpful and spent some time with me to understand how I wanted to use the collar before walking me through the setup) I would recommend this collar. It takes some setup, so be ready to read the manual or call for help.LongSage
The e collar portion works great, the audible location beacon is far from what I expected. It was money wasted. The point function is always on, so if the dog stops for 10 seconds it goes off. I called Sportdog and they told me that’s how it’s supposed to be. It’s too bad because as a located it would be great but it is always going off when the dog takes drinks, pauses, and cannot be worn unless full out hunting.Klassch
I am disappointed that the collar receiver (shock/vibrate) portion does not respond to the tone. I thought that there would be tone, vibrate and shock capability of the shock portion of this collar. The tone button only works the beeper which is useless if the beeper is not on the dog. Also upset that the locate function of the beeper does not have the capability to change the tone from the tone that is already in use on the dog. I would like the locate to be able to have a louder tone than the tone beeping on the dog that I already can't hear.johnostrum

Purchased this brand based on the past reviews. Needed a product that offered ease of use as my wife and 11 year old daughter would like to be able to operate it when needed without the threat of hurting or causing mental anguish to the dog. The training video was very thorough and easy to understand. The collar is simple enough for my daughter to operate efficiently and effectively yet offers me the ability to modify the programming to fit our needs as they change. I rated four stars due to the short 2 month time frame which we have had this product. If things remain unchanged after a full season of use, I would have no problems rating it 5 stars.Cruddy
I just bought this collar and have only been training on it about three hours today. I am amazed at how fast my dog was able to go off leash, 20 min my 6mo Beagle was heeling along side me for the first time ever off leash, she was comming to me flawlessly in an hour of training, this is a dog up untill today only came when she felt like it.Oh did I mention she did it wagging her tail the whole time happy as a clam WOW . I do have to let you know that I did follow all the sport dog training videos on youtube for about 30min a day for the last three days ,while I was waiting for my collar to get to me in the mail. I realize this might be a rare instance for a dog to learn so fast, but i am just smiling from ear to ear. My wife said our Beagle would never heel off leash yet alone in 20min that was worth $300 bucks all by itself 🙂 I AM NO LONGER A SKEPTIC12target
With just about every collar within a reasonable price range I found it fairly difficult to narrow down which collar would be best for me. I was torn between the newer features and compact design on the sportdog 1825 and the dependability of the tri-tronics pro 200 . It seems that every professional trainer swears by the tri-tronics product because of their study design. After much debate, I chose the Sportdog 1825 for several reasons. If you are like most hunters, you are only training one or two dogs and take them everywhere you go. The sportdog remote is nice and compact which allows you to carry it anywhere. It's light enough for me to clip on my duck call landyard for easy access while hunting. The reciever is also smaller (compared to tri-tronics) which makes it less noticable on the dog. Another feature that I really enjoy about the sportdog collar is the tone button. I use this button for my "Here" and "Sit" commands in place of a whistle for when the dog is out in the field. Lastly, although I haven't had to use the sportdog customer service, i have read that they are hands down the fastest in responding to any malfunction in their product. Just like a shotgun, if my collar breaks during hunting season I don't want to wait a month to get another one back. I am sure that the tri-tronics collar would have done just as good of job for training my dog, but the sportdog 1825 really stands out for the other 95% of the time when you aren't hunting or training. I would reccomend this collar to the average hunter who has 1 or 2 dogs and would like to create a faster learning and more responsive dog. With so many variations in stimulation/vibration/tone settings on the sportdog 1825 you're sure to find the perfect setup for you and your dog.Jareds124

Bought this 825x collar about a month ago. Not happy with the distance i get. Not happy the cover on the charging port on the controler broke off. I put this thing in my hand and get nothing on #2 but on #3 it will let you know u dont want # 4. Am i happy with it ? NOT REALLY. WILL i live with it ? Yes till it shuts down. I think the Company should address it. It is made very well except items i mentioned. I may have gotten a faulty one but i can live with it.Oemmm77
I bought this a month ago and so far it's amazing. I started off with a cheaper one I bought online and my stubborn dog would barely flinch, even on the highest setting. With this set at 2 I get a reaction from her. Most of the time the tone or vibrate is enough to get her attention and she'll stop whatever it is I don't want her doing. Sportdog training collars have changed our lives. We have used them on our recently deceased Great Dane, our 4 year-old Walker Hound, 4 month old Bloodhound & 5 month old Great Dane puppy. We have used an older 100 yard collar a 425X & are waiting for the 825X to come in the mail. Not only do the sportdog collars work for "recall" they work for other basic commands like "NO", "drop-it" "settle". We always train our dogs on voice and hand commands as much as possible before using the collars. It certainly helps when our puppies are trying to chase or attack some yard rabbits, chickens ducks or goats. I do find if you are using the collar the battery life is only about a 2-4 hrs of working time. I wish they could have an external battery pack of some degree or another to help on exciting days. Price for product is on point. The only thing I wish sportdog would do, is come out with a cat sized collar. My Bengal is a nutbar, like they all are, and has a taste for killing. It sure would be nice to have one for him when he is slaying yard rabbits or trying to take down ducks in the pond to give him a little zap to help save lives. Sportdog says because they are geared towards hunting they do not see in the future them creating one for cats, but if they do I will buy 2.FarmGirl2013

We have a 1+ acre lot that borders on a very busy road on one side and a large tract of conservation land on another. We bought this system to replace an invisible fence system that was about 20 years old that had worked well for several generations of dogs. We now have a second property as well as two young dogs and wanted to ensure their safety at both locations. We shopped around and chose this compatible system so we could have two systems without having to get different collars. Customer and tech support were excellent – we had questions about interchangeability of different systems, specifically the fence/training collar. The SportDog equipment arrived quickly and all in good order. Instructions were clear and installation was relatively easy. Took about 1 day to clear brush through some woods, but mostly to dig a channel for the wire. Burying the line across lawn is hard work but worth it to avoid inadvertent breaks when cutting the lawn, snowblowing, etc. We bought an inexpensive (used) small trench digger (basically a motorized spinning blade for edging) to cut a thin trench, then used a 1" rounded handle to clear and bury the wire foot-by-foot, backfilling over the wire as we went. We have trained for a week following carefully the clear instructions and the dogs arelearning quickly. What loses this product a fifth star is the 20-gauge wire. This wire is sooooooo thin and is not very durable. We ended up reusing large stretches of the old line (20 years old), which was 10- or 12-gauge. Both the wire and the protective outdoor insulation were so much better in the old fence; our old wire was easily 5x the diameter of the 20-gauge There is a huge difference in durability, quality. Regrettably, it seems that the "standard" wire this manufacturer (and the other fence companies) supply is the thinnest, cheapest that will work. If you have a simple suburban yard, it may be fine. We have long stretches of drops in the woods and cross driveways and other break "risks." If you do too, and can afford to upgrade the wire, do so. If not, be extra diligent in burying it and encasing it (tubing or pvc pipe where warranted) to minimize any danger of breaks. The upcharge was quite steep through SportDog to get better (thicker) wire. You might do better buying the wire in bulk. The upgrade can be solid or braided copper and be sure to get wire rated with outdoor insulation. Likely much cheaper at your hardware store, online, or even used. Overall, we are happy with the purchase. It has only been a week, but the system, flags, collar, rechargers, etc.appear of good quality, instructions are clear, and the programming is easy. The fence is for your pets' protection – use it carefully and kindly, including by using the very lowest "stimulation" (really, electric shock) level necessary — minimize the pain/discomfort by taking the time to train your dog(s) per SportDog's very clear step-by-step week-long training steps.eastcap

Reviews:
After doing much research on the many different Ecollars, I chose this one based on other reviews. I needed something to aid in training my pit bull puppy (10 months old) he constantly tries to get into things that don't belong to him. I put the collar on him, whenever he tried to get into something, I would start with the tone button, if he continued, I would use the shock option. We have found we have no need to go past number 4 on the settings. This product has definitely helped us significantly to be able to enjoy our pet more instead of chasing him around the house. I would absolutely recommend this product!Albacorey
This collar stopped working as intended after 2 weeks of use. It just wouldn't stay powered on. The power failure was intermittent perhaps a shortage inside the device. Until it stopped working completely I noted the range was much shorter than advertised being only 50 feet or so. I expected so much more from a product that cost over 100 dollars. This was a complete waste of money.blppa.us.rv3l2do8u
we have a VERY stubborn 3yr old English Bulldog. I couldn't do dishes without him slamming the dishwasher shut, couldn't carry a laundry basket without him trying to knock it out of my hands by hitting the bottom, couldn't vacuum without him attacking it, and he would go after ANYTHING that would fall on the ground and never give it back. My 106 lbs was nothing to his 75lbs and now at 8 months pregnant, we just couldn't let him misbehave anymore. Within 1 day I already saw changes. Most of the time the tone only function is enough to get his attention where he realizes not to do what he's doing. In the past, he didn't care if he got negative attention…it was just attention to him. Now I can correct him by saying no, and often just showing him the remote. I highly recommend this product and my only regret is not buying it a year ago!Momto2Bulldogs

I have hunted 6 times now with the device. Has only lost contact one time in very deep brush for about 10 seconds. Otherwise this has been spot on. Already saved my dog once when he was caught on a branch from his vest. Well worth the price. Battery life actually seems better than reported. I’ve only had to charge it one time for six different hunts. Each lasting about 3 to 4 hours. Hopefully it lasts for years and years!Ryan7

Reviews:
I purchased this one as I wanted a wireless version vs the perimeter one I had to bury. We use this when we go fishing as well as around the house. We have only had to use the continuous shock once at level 2. The tone works so well we dont really need the other features but we have them just in case, our dog decides to be really stubborn in the future. My favorite is how easy it is to use, charge and the fact the tone is the best way to get my dog's attention. It has not taken long for him to know the remote goes to his collar and that just showing him he knows to heel or the tone sound will come on and get his attention quickly. My sister is purchasing one as well since my purchase, as she has seen how much it has helped our strong willed dog. He just needed a little extra guidance for his safety as we live off a highway and next to woods with coyotes. Definitely would buy again and looking forward to showing my sister how to work hers next week.Countrysun
Really enjoy the simplicity of the collar and remote. My only wish is that the vibrate setting was higher, our deaf American bully doesn't respond to the vibrate setting very well. Other than that we really enjoy this tool and it's nice to have something to grab her attention when getting too far.Tatorgator
Literally bought this as my second attempt first was a petsafe wireless fence and it wasn’t as user friendly as this petsport with a remote. I’m able to keep basic corrections in house and outside in the yard! I was worried it wouldn’t be small enough for my mini Heeler but the collar comes with an abundant amount of holes for proper fit on anything ! Supper pleased with the collar and the three bases it has for training. The beep tone the one hit simulation and the longer hit stimulation gives me theee options to ask my dog according to what she’s doing. I like that it can be supper mild and allow her the chance to be asked nicely and then reinforced mildly and then reinforcement with a sterner setting. A true life saver. My pup was running out to the neighbors across the street and up to meet cars it literally only took thirty mins in house training on basics and then outside yard training for a little under an hour! I am now no longer stressed about her getting hurt she comes right back to me and treats me as I am her safe spot! I thought it would discourage her but if taken time and reading directions and applying properly you will have a new dog !Heeler
16. Dogtra Remote Training Collar 2-Dog 202c
Product Details:
Dogtra 200c training collars are a great entry-level trainer for sensitive and small dogs. the dogtra 200c training collar has all the basic components needed for successful behavior management of your dog. designed for mild-mannered dogs that do not require a high level of stimulation. choose nick stimulation for fine-tuning your educated dog, or continuous stimulation to introduce new commands. "exact-stim" stimulation control function enables you to select the perfect level of static correction for your dog without worrying about large jumps between levels. the non-stimulating pager/ vibration function lets you get your dog's attention without the use of static correction. in many cases, once a dog has been corrected with static stimulation a few times, trainers can switch to the "attention getter" mode and avoid the use of static correction except on rare occasions. convenient rechargable lithium polymer batteries are long-lasting and easy to maintain. the low-battery indicator tells you when to recharge. because both the transmitter and receiver are waterrpoof, the trainer goes where you and your dog go – no restrictions, no cautions. there are also over 3000 different identity codes to identify your personal trainer and to prevent conflicts from other e-collars in your vicinity.

This is an amazing product, once fitted properly it works perfectly and now my dog has loads more freedom off lead especially in high wildlife areas (that is mostly in our town boundary). The customer service from Bark Control was instant and the advice was thorough when I had trouble with the product to start with but is now rectified and I’m a very happy customer. Thank youJudi L.
The on-line Walmart experience was as good as the best service there is, and much better than most. Ordered on Wednesday, at my door on Friday. Free shipping. The Dogtra Arc collar is just what my American Treeing Feist, 11 month puppy needed. I had borrowed the same collar from my daughter for about a month, but she needed it back, so for the past two months he had begun to get a little independent in the woods. As soon as I put the new Arc collar around his neck, he was a changed dog. Even without paging him, he began to hunt about 75 yards out and would return to check on me every few minutes. Whenever he gets out of sight, and seems to wander too long, I simply "page" him about three seconds and he comes running. Only twice in the past week have I had to stimulate him, somewhere between level 6 and 11. Then for a day or two after that, only the pager button is needed to turn him around. Awesome tool when used sparingly.Buckeye

The 435 X series is really nice and has a small remote control that fits into my hand (I am only 5'4). The XS series is stronger (for large dogs that can be stubborn) and was too much for my need… that's why I really wanted the X series. The 825 X is the same as the 425 X except is has a longer distance reach (1/2 mile) but the remote is a little big bigger. Works great…. make sure you read the manual for the different settings and understand that this is not a training tool per say but a corrective tool (meaning your dog has to know and understand commands BEFORE using it)…Do NOT use as a punitive tool. The nice thing is this item allows you to choose either tone, vibration, or static mode. 99% of the time I only need to use vibration for my dog to get his attention (he cN get sobfocused on a scent that he doesn't pay attention to my commands). He sometimes takes off after a rabbit/wild pig etc. and that's when I have to use the static mode to quickly get his attention away from his chase. I really like that it is waterproof (my dog swims into ponds and rivers)…some other brands claim to be waterproof but really mean to say water resistant! If it doesn't show water depth then it is not waterproof. Quality product worth the money.Noone12345
I have tried everything I knew with this dog, built a relationship with him, treats, toys, praise and I wasn’t able to find anything that would motivate him to actually follow the commands that I knew he knew. I was afraid to use a “shock collar” because I thought it was going to be cruel but it had been 5 months where this 3 year old pit was with me and there seemed to be no progress. I really was not able to find something that worked. I was at a loss and willing to try just about anything. I watched some of the training videos on sportdog’s page. I ended up buying this and I charged it up like they said. I then tried it on myself first. I was very surprised, it reminded me of a tens machine that the chiropractor uses, not what I thought it was going to be at all. It’s been 3 days since I started to use this collar (425XS) and he is responding to voice commands now and the “beep” function on the collar. It is a pleasure taking him out and I’m sure he enjoys not having to be on just a 6’ leash and he gets to run around.Trucker Jeff
Bought this for the intention of training my bulldog to stop running out of our driveway. Never had to use the vibration setting only the beep setting, and seems to work perfectly. Plenty of length on the collar to fit his big neck and then some . Also have used it on my schnauzer and mini doodle .Dawggang

Already a fan of Sportdog, Ive been using a single collar for 8 yrs with no issues. This control is more exact with 2 or more collars, I use three collars and I love it. A word of caution with the camo controller and dog collar, if you drop it in the woods youll never find it. Go with the hunter orangested1201

This is a solid choice for duck and pheasant hunting. Worked very well and easy to use.SW MN Parson
With this collar i was able to train my hunting dog to have 100 percent recall in all situations, in a handful of sessions. My previous yard collar did not have enough range. I also bought the beeper which is useful in heavy cover. The charging system makes the collar absolutely waterproof which is good. And when the dial broke in the field it was a friendly two minute phonecall to Sportdog to have a new transmitter on its way to me.
