My Lurcher Heidi had to have a mammary tumour removed. She was terrified wearing an Elizabethan collar. So I got her a Buster collar but being long nosed Sighthound and with a flexable neck she could reach her stitches. The "Suitical" vest I got her from D forDog was absoulutley amazing. Comfy, stretchy and easy to wash and dry. It covered the area allowing healing . For toileting I just un-did the press studs and took her back legs out of the garment and rolled the Suitical back to her shoulders. Then when she had been to the toileting area I simply rolled it back and put her back legs through and did the garment up. It was similiar to a childs body suit. I can't praise this garment enough. Walkee Paws are fantastic! He has managed to kick off every other style of boot but not these and he didn't mind wearing them at all! As soon as they arrived we immediately tried them out and he got used to them right away. The video shows him walking after about 3 minutes of wearing them. It was also 11° F on this walk which would normally leave his paws too cold for more than just a few minutes outside and with his Walkee Paws on we were able to walk for over 20 minutes! His paws didn't get cold or bothered by snowballs and ice. We even walked off into the woods and because we had the adjustable fit and they were snug around his legs he didn't get any snow inside them either. The materials are very good quality and we have been using them for a month now with very little signs of wear. I am thankful for this product to make a cold Wisconsin winter much more enjoyable for my little 9 lb dog! We have had several mornings when it has been -15° F when I let him out and he is in no hurry to come back inside thanks to his Walkee Paws!Teresa L.
Good idea for sure but cheaply and poorly made. For something you pay $40+ on they do not hold up very well at all. Started developing little holes and scratches in the boot after the first use of about 10 minutes. Not good for dogs in the in between sizes, practically have to cut of my dogs circulation to her paws or put a lot of strain on her shoulders or back for them to stay on each leg. If you live in a place where the roads or wherever you walk your dog is icy, I would not recommend these unless your dog does not pull at all and is past the training point of that because they will constantly slip on icy patches. Sucks that this company patented this design and can set the price so high when someone else could make a better product and sell it for less money. Wouldn’t leave this kind of review if the price wasn’t so high and would understand its weak spots but if your gonna charge this much the product should be worth it and for some I’m sure it is but again if your dog is in the in between sizes save your cash.
It is a pretty good product. At least when the boots fall off you don’t lose them. He’s worn these boots about 12 times and today was the first day, with readjusting almost constantly every day before we leave, that they haven’t fallen off. Other than that they keep his feet dry he had no difficulty walking in a bit he had lots of practice with other boots that we had to return because he didn’t work. I would recommend these boots to other small dog owners. I often wonder if the smalls would’ve fit him better but with a 12 day shipping time, we needed the booth right now. Also if you’re selling some on Amazon, that’s where I would’ve bought it so I wouldn’t of had to pay your shipping , you should all you should list boots with leggings instead of leggings with boots and then your boots would come up when people search for boots. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. My Labrador had stitches in her front leg right on the ankle joint so it was at high risk of infection as very close to the bone. I was hoping this would negate the need for the huge buster collar however, she would still lick at it through the sleeve and make it wet therefore increasing the risk of infection to the wound. She therefore still had to wear the buster collar as well as the sleeve to stop her licking it. Within a couple of days, there was a hole in the material of the sleeve and since then, a further tear has developed, so the quality of the material is not that good. She has also worked out how to get her leg out of it so all in all, it hasn’t been that great! 1 Very happy owner and one calm snoring Dog. He`s been at the top of his leg the last few days and licked it raw . No socks long enough and a long sleeved T shirt was not a success . I followed the measuring advice on-line (4" measure good for 4-6") and the "sock" is too small. It does not wrap around our dogs leg and gaps at his "heel." My Lurcher Heidi had to have a mammary tumour removed. She was terrified wearing an Elizabethan collar. So I got her a Buster collar but being long nosed Sighthound and with a flexable neck she could reach her stitches. The "Suitical" vest I got her from D forDog was absoulutley amazing. Comfy, stretchy and easy to wash and dry. It covered the area allowing healing . For toileting I just un-did the press studs and took her back legs out of the garment and rolled the Suitical back to her shoulders. Then when she had been to the toileting area I simply rolled it back and put her back legs through and did the garment up. It was similiar to a childs body suit. I can't praise this garment enough. Our dog developed an inflamed bladder due to chemotherapy he was taking for cancer. He went from never having an accident to completely losing bladder control. These have been a life saver! My only complaint is that they do shrink a bit after washing, so I had to order the extenders in order to be able to use them after they’ve been washed a few times. Our Hava-Tzu started marking about three years after having him. He was fixed but out of the blue he started. Had him to the vet and he was physically great! But we endured him marking on the stainless steel frig, the bottom drawer of our stainless steel stove and the front of the dishwasher not to mention to many baseboards to name!! We caught the appliances quickly so we didn’t have any damage but the baseboards all had to cut, painted and replaced where he’s done the most marking. My dog broke his back just behind his front legs. We opted for home care and eventually chiropractic. The chiropractor recommended Pain Plus. My Jack doesn't mind taking them…BUT…he chooses the dosage! When I see him being stiff I offer a whole one and if he doesn't take it, I break it in half and offer him half. My dog is a rescue, approx. 13 years old & 68 lbs. He has been with us for 10 1/2 years. About two years ago he was diagnosed with Wobblers syndrome. This is an excellent set of pet stairs. I liked the information envelope included with the 'Hello' cards…so nice! It had a disclaimer regarding a non-hazardous odor…we did not notice any odor at all straight out of the packaging. The foam blocks are nice and firm, my 15 lb Boston terrier mix has no issues using them. I like the neutral color as well. Material seems to be of a decent quality. It was easy to put together as well, just stack the top foam block onto the bottom one, pull the cover material over it and zip. We love these pet steps. I have two small dogs: a 10 lb chihuahua mix, and a 16 lb silky terrier with short legs. Both of my dogs were able to use these pet steps the very first day we got them. We trained them by putting little bits of cheese on each step, and a piece at the top. We tried these steps out with my couch, and on my bed, which my terrier struggles jumping up on, especially as she ages. They are a nice neutral gray color which worked well in both my bedroom and my living room. They are soft, plush, and very lightweight, so it was easy to move from one place to the other. Included in the box, was a note saying it might have a little bit of a smell from the newly manufactured foam. I smelled it a little bit when opening the box, but didn't even notice it again after the stairs were assembled. By the way, the assembly is just putting one of the cushions inside a zippered section. The rest of it was already inside. Very easy. It even included a nice note from the company, and three free blank greeting cards as a thank you for buying their product. We've had plastic pet stairs in the past, but had trouble with the legs falling off, making it unsafe for our dogs to use. We ended up getting rid of those. Our dog twice got foxtail seeds in his paws which lead to serious infections. He missed a hunting trip and the second time his paw was huge with the infection and had to be lanced. Poor fella. I found Musher's Secret online and took a chance. He never got another seed or infection in his paws. We've now have two small dogs who are having a hard time this winter on the snow and ice. Both of them come inside from going out for 2-3 minutes (I set a timer.) limping with ice crusted on their paws. I'm sure Musher's Secret is going to take care of this problem. Ok here is my short version! Love this shoe but not for any dog that is just learning to walk in shoes! They weigh a LOT!! They are made well and look amazing when my boy is strolling The halls doing dog therapy at the hospitals. I recommend anyone who is looking at these to get your dog trained on a light shoe first, if you have an old dog consider how heavy these are I mean they are as heavy as a toddlers shoe like the nike or Jordan heavy ones. My dog has been wearing shoes for 4 years and walked in these like he had never put on shoes before for about 2 mins. That is my 2 cents :-). I love them they are cool and made well!! These little booties appear to be made well, and the fit was perfect for my 15 pound pup. However, she was very awkward, and the bottoms were too stiff for her to run/climb properly, would probably not be a problem with a larger (or more coordinated) dog. They stayed on reasonable well on my wiggly girl. The LED lights are neat, but kind of pointless in my opinion, just added to the weight of the boots. I hesitated to buy the hip and joint advanced liquid for cats. I often think homeopathic products are a gimmick. When my 13 year old 20 pound Russian Blue started having trouble walking down stairs and was hesitating before jumping up, I consulted my vet only to be told there wasn't treatment approved for cats joint maintenance yet. I bought a bottle and wasn't sure how I was going to administer it to my cat. She's very feisty and there was no way I'd be able to give it to her in a dropper.
