I bought this food 2 weeks ago because my dog has been picky about her food for months now. I have tried Hills Science, Purina Pro, Blue Buffalo – all puppy dry food. I think she really doesn’t like the chicken taste so I thought I’d try something different. From the start when I was phasing out the old food with the new she was way more interested in eating. She also stopped biting her arms which I thought was due to a seasonal allergy but now think it was actually a food allergy. I’m really satisfied with the food! She seems more energetic and overall happier which makes me happy!Drea710

I wish someone would make small sample bags of pet food to allow owners of pets to know if their pet will like it or not before wasting money purchasing several different kinds trying to please fussy pants pets! Or maybe have a tasting station with small bowls of pet food set up for the pet to try in the store! I’m sure this food is great for a starving dog, but my baby would like to share my dinner plate, thank you very much … and I don’t feed him from my dinner plate! My husband keeps telling me he will eat if he gets hungry enough … but I’m a mommy! Mommies feed husbands, children, and critters! And if those don’t eat but sit and whine at my feet, I’ll try anything, cook anything, buy anything to get my family to eat and be healthy! We’ve been feeding Taste of the Wild Appalachian for small dogs for about a year now after switching to about 10 different brands. He loves it. The kibble is small, and the food is palatable and healthy. I wish the small kibble was available in fish and sweet potato too, but this has some fish in it. It’s a great choice in food for a very picky little dog. Now if he would only stop chewing his feet. This is new and been going on for about a year or so. So I’m wondering if it’s connected to the food in any way.Remy

My cat has had repeated uti's involving emergency vet visits and a lot of stress. When the antibiotic wears off, the infection returns. I was at Petco on Sunday and saw this product and decided to buy it in case there was another infection. My cat had a crisis 2 days later with very extreme symptoms. I gave her 5 drops and noticed no change. So I did it again in 15 minutes and she began to calm down. Then she sat quietly for awhile and then went upstairs to sleep under my bed for the rest of the day. The next day she acted like nothing had happened. I was amazed! Time will tell if she will have more problems, but this is way better than dragging her crying to the vet, if I can even find a vet who will see her the same day. While I am not really one to normally write a review, I research other reviews diligently and thought it was time I started- especially to brag on this product and hopefully help someone else. Case: Mittens is a 3 year old female never with any previous UTI issues, Food: ate frisky crunchies and was happy, Fast forward to 2 months ago- she started with always being wet on her bottom. It kind of threw me off because I thought it could be a problem with her rear and not bladder, it progressed to constant going in litter box and barely having anything come out. Through this time 700. was spent at vet, ultrasounds, urinalysis' , lab testing, all showing nothing but antibiotics were administered as it was obvious something was wrong. The vet was insistent about stress thought I was skeptical as absolutely zero had changed in our household and buying the 50. food just was not an expense I was ready to do at that moment. The antibiotics has slight improvement but never fixed the issue. Mittens also has to be put under aneasthesia every time we go as she is very sweet, but not a good patient. During this time I was also an my witts end not wanting to put her thru another battery of testing and my house issue. In that I mean everywhere she went she would leave wet spots and a terrible smell which simply could not go on. So I went to do what you have done if you are here, online research and came across this product. I ordered it and went to bed as it was late and would be ready for pick up the next morning. I was hopeful and excited that this could be 'it'- a cure. So we picked it up and went to work. I followed dosing as directed for an acute condition as that is what we had. I had to administer via wet food because a syringe simply does not work with her. We did 10 drops every 15 minutes for the first hour and went on as directions said the whole time via food, 2nd day three times a day 10 drops each meal, and 3rd day back to initial dosing of 10 drops every 15 minutes for the first hour and 2 more times that day. I was not seeing the 'immediate result' some people had at that point. I will also say I was feeding her uti proplan wet food only during this time. We started Sunday morning and I did not notice relief until Tuesday evening- We were getting a stream of urine. I was so happy I could cry! Now we are at Thursday and we seem to be almost normal. Absoulutely AMAZING, have patience this stuff works! I am going to continue dosing twice a day and maybe even once a day for prevention going forward. I am also going to find some uti dry food, most likely Purina One uti to keep with prevention as that is my motivation going forward. Cannot be happier with the $6 price tag and the miracle inside. I got this after I noticed my kitty using her litter box repeatedly and licking herself constantly. I added it to her water yesterday and today and have been giving her the drops directly in her mouth. It’s easiest for me to hold the bottle in front of her until she starts biting on the nozzle… every few bites it gets deep enough to squeeze and spray… and viola! She almost seems to like it. It's very distressing to find 3 happy engorged ticks on your dog 24 hours after treatment following all the requirements re: proper placement location on the dog, shaved the hair to make contact only on the skin, no water on the dog for 24 hours or at all after treatment. I was frankly, pretty shocked. This is an older small dog with arthritis. He is already in some pain and to find the ticks on him on top of this frankly really upset me. And they were not dead or dying. They were about to drop off likely after laying eggs on my dog. It used to work and now it does not–at all. I will require a refund.Dog Mom245

I breed Chihuahuas and I also foster cats/kittens. My Chihuahuas are litter box trained so they rarely get fleas because they dont spend a whole lot of time outside. Even when we go for walks, theyre in a dog stroller lol. Anyways… I fostered a litter of kittens that were found outside and covered in fleas. I gave them all dawn baths because they were too small for any flea medicine and my Chihuahuas ended up with fleas. I needed a product that was safe for pregnant/ nursing mama which frontline is. Finally something that works consistently. After trying probably 10-15 brands of flea and tick stuff for my Dogs this is the company I come back to. Ive tried expensive stuff, Ive tried dirt cheap stuff. This works and works FAST. I actually have to put my dogs out if they have fleas on them at all. Within 30 minutes they are jumping off to get away and die. Weve had issues with super fleas here in northeast USA where the only thing Ive found to work is old fashion dawn dish soap and salt.Ive literally spread salt on all my floors so it looks like snow and left it sit over night then vacuum it up and then mop with dawn dish soap, everyday for over a week straight. This stuff not only took care of the fleas on the dogs and cats but the ones in the house would jump on the dogs would die to. Havent had an issue since.Corvet08

As you’ve read on many other reviews, this product is dangerous and potentially deadly for cats. We gave our cat, Loki, this product and not even 4 hours later she started displaying signs of progressing toxicity… she began to present tremors, antisocial behavior and discomfort. She could not find comfort at all, and she seemed to be agitated and had problems walking. So we took her to the ER around midnight and they kept her overnight to stabilize her. The next morning she was discharged – but still presents this behavior. I fear that if we hadn’t taken her in, this product would have killed her. Only time will tell if it leaves irreversible neurological damage…

This company has a bad history of product related deaths and damages – and I see they’ve faced a few lawsuits and recalls as well. This company needs to compensate for all damages, and shut down immediately! This has gone on for 7+ years to no avail.

Within hours of pouring this down my dogs back it started to affect her nervous system causing her to continuously rock side to side in a sitting, laying, and standing position. It caused extreme discomfort and she became very anti social. Luckily a member of my family is a veterinary and she told me to give her a bath immediately with “DAWN DISH SOAP” and purchase some “ SPRING VALLEY ACTIVATED CHARCOAL SUPPLEMENTS” and give her 20!!

If you’re experiencing any of the sort I would wash my pet immediately and give him/her the correct amount of pills based on their weight.

I have an approximately 12 pound maltipoo. He is very active and likes to roll outside. We had always used Soresto flea collars (approx. $50 for 6 months) and had bought 2 in a row that stopped working after about a week. I decided to try this collar for a lesser value and am SO pleased with the results!! Within minutes of putting it on my Bailey, 7 or 8 fleas rose to the surface of his fur like they were trying to escape (haha) and I have not seen any since then. It has been a while now and I still haven’t seen any. It says water resistant but I decided not to test it so I took it off for a bath and it was easy to take off and put back on. I will definitely be buying more of these in the future for all of my pets!sara615

The Zodiac Flea & Tick Collar is the perfect all-purpose collar for my working “horse dog”. Since he patrols our farm and lives with the horses 24/7, we don’t leave a regular collar on him – too dangerous should it hang up on a fence, and too expensive if we use the quick-release type bra cause of the frequent need to replace it. It seems to work well against ticks but the handling is rather difficult. Really hard to close it and then it cannot be taken off anymore (e.g. for a bath or simply comfort) without breaking it. I very much preferred the other tick collars WnP had, pity they do not sell them anymore.Jochen K.

First, the great: I love the way this collar smells. My husband is extremely sensitive to smells so most of the tick collars have been too strong for him. This cedarwood/ peppermint combo is lovely and not strong-smelling. The good: getting the collar put together was a little tough. The first stop is difficult to get past, but then it’s fine. This collar does smell great. We also haven't had any flea or ticks so it's also working. We are not happy with it though for two reasons: 1. It's hard to get tight and one of our cats keeps getting it caught in his jaw when he cleans himself, so we finally had to remove the collar. 2. I am concerned one of our cats could get choked by this collar if caught in something. It's very strong and doesn't have any "break-away," feature so this possibility worries me.Susan K.

I was on frontline for years but when I thought I saw a couple fleas on my dogs in September 2020, I decided to make a switch to Advantage II for my cats and Advantix II for my dogs— BIGGEST mistake of my life (seriously, like over any horrible exes). I have $515.97 in receipts I submitted to the company (which was as horrible as the experience, which I will get to) and spent an additional $70 in store (in which I cannot find the receipt) since September 2020 to December. I followed every tip on the website and insert and my animals were still covered. I applied perfectly. I applied initially weekly, vacuum daily, steam cleaned, wash bedding constantly, etc. I don’t even have carpet but on the stairs and have treated the stairs and couches with Predcor. I even bought those flea traps with the sticky bottoms. I am not including any of this in that total I spent– that was all on the flea medications themselves for the 6 animals. I have saved some, not all, of the vials so on 11/13 I called Elanco. They denied my request for any type of refund. They questioned my exact dosage dates and frequency more than a doctor wants to know about your menstrual cycles but I took my best guesses, for all 6 animals although I did know what schedule they were on but didn't have it in front of me. Then they said that the product was probably not working because I bathed my dogs initially at the beginning 48 hours before application?? Their website TELLS you to bathe them before application (see 2nd screenshot posted)! I stopped bathing them after the 2nd application as it wasn't working and the dogs were miserable and only tried 2 cats (and really only 1 successfully because we all know how that goes). They then told me that I didn't give the product long enough?? Their website states (see 3rd screenshot) and is the same for Advantage II "K9 Advantix® II kills fleas within 12 hours. New fleas that jump on the dog from the surroundings, such as grass, carpet and pet bedding, are killed within 2 hours with protection against further infestation for at least 4 weeks." I tried their products, $600 worth on 6 animals, as scheduled, no missed doses for 4 months. I can’t blame it on just one animal or one batch—it didn’t work on 6, or one batch! I am very upset. Not only have I wasted money on these but I have bought corresponding products, sprays for the beddings, flea traps, etc. I FINALLY called Terminex and had to spend 12 hours clearing out under my beds, closets, getting everything off my floors, moving furniture etc. (time I will never get back) and getting my children and pets out of the house and went back to the brand that works: FRONTLINE! NO MORE FLEAS– what I should have done in the first place. I am so upset not by the fact that the product didn't work but by the way the company handled it, dodging any responsibility from blaming it on the baths they recommend to the length of time I gave it when they could have just refunded me and had someone that isn't going to not only post this review every place I bought it (not just here) but every other place that allows a review to include social media.Intelhottie

We bought Advantix liquid application anti-flea and tick treatment because it is effective, was less expensive and did not require a prescription. We had easily and successfully used liquid Advantix for years with our Plott hound mix. We now have a beagle. Beagle hair is different; it's thick, coarse, oily, kind of water proof and difficult to part in order to properly apply the liquid to the skin. Advantix is a very good product, but pet owners may want to assess their pet's coat to determine how the liquid application could be applied.Gary

My dog was getting ticks so I purchased this. I have used it in the past with great success when it had the Bayer logo on it . The one I received has the Elanco brand logo on it. I used 1 bottle and It was like I used nothing at all. Mind you I walk my dog and when he comes in the house I would find 2 or 3 live ticks walking on him. So I figured ok maybe it didnt work or I didnt wait long enough. After about 10 days of this I applied another bottle and again nothing. He still kept coming in the house with ticks every time. So I'm not sure exactly what's going on but the package I received appeared to be authentic. All serial numbers matched and packages were sealed well. I was worried from reading the other reviews that these treats would be rock hard. However I got two bags and both are moist and able to be torn if needed. My dog is a super fan of these treats and makes training easy. I am really trying to remove all grains from my dogs diet due to allergies. Made with real beef. These fit the bill. Made in the U.S.A. I read the reviews before purchasing Merrick's Real Beef Jerky, and everyone loves them. Great; let's give them a try. Beef Jerky in my mind is chewy and I was expecting the dogs to have a bit of something to chew on. Not so much. This Beef Jerky is soft; as in two pieces in the bag had already come apart. I had to use these as training treats because they couldn't even stay as a whole piece to give my dogs. My dogs went crazy over this jerky, it is just not what I was expecting. There is 100% something different than when I started buying these 3 or 4 years ago. They used to have a great fresh quality to them that my dog couldn't resist and he is very picky. I mean super picky as most spoiled dogs are. Some short time ago the treats became darker, brittle, musty and just generally old looking. My dog will not eat these anymore. I try to shop the bags and see if I can find a bag that's fresh but the quality is the same and my dog doesn't eat them anymore. I usually give them away to a dog less spoiled (lol) I do spoil my dog because you spoil the ones you care about. I'm not sure if it's only the chicken recipe because the beef ones seem fresh and my dog likes them. Absolute one of the best food I’ve ever come across! My dog is my son and I only want to feed him the best. He goes wild for this food. It keeps him nice and full even when we have a very energetic and eventful day. I love that they use such good sources of protein in their food. It’s also a great brand because they are holistic and have special recipe food so if your pet had special needs diet wise you can fine a food that fits their needs. I have a 6month old pure bred German shepherd, we have tried so many foods and so many different ways to feed him and get him to eat. The second and I mean the SECOND I put this food in front of him he loved it. He is not a good motivated dog, he is very picky and will sniff food and not even try it. I had been feeding my puppy another high quality brand of puppy food but was looking for something that would still be high quality, and nutritious for my dog as well all while saving a few dollars each time I had to purchase a bag of food for him. My puppy is a 9 month old German Shepard mix, he has lots of energy and has never turned down a brad of food to this date. Anyhow, like I said I was searching for a high quality food that would save me a couple of dollars each time I needed to restock on food for him. After going through several brands of food, I did come across this brand. I read the ingredients which seem really solid and impressed me, I also read the reviews for this product on petco.com and was even more impressed to only see 5 star reviews! Although this product was about $8 more a bag and 6lbs less a bag than what I was originally purchasing (Blue Buffalo) I decided to go ahead and give it a try. First test of course was the taste test, he seemed to not only enjoy the flavor of the product but loved it. Test passed with high honors! So of course when switching brands of foods you should do so over a course of time mixing the two products (old & new) and slowly phase out the old, I did this and had no problems with my dog switching over. He is always happy when it comes to meal time and is on such a perfect schedule he will remind me within 15 minutes of his feeding time both morning and night that it's time to eat again. My first concern for satisfaction of this product came when it was "business" time. The bowl movement would occur no problem, however it had about 70-75% of the solidness that he usually had. Thought okay, maybe because of the change give it a little time for body to completely adjust although we phased out the original food over a 5-6 day period. Then my next concern was I noticed that jar was starting to have more frequent bowl movements, he was up an extra one or two a day. Again thought to myself maybe his body is still adjusting and maybe this food is giving him a higher metabolism. My third concern is that his stool has gone from a fairly normal light to mid colored brown but now Ian showing a "pea green" color in addition. Ok, maybe it's an ingredient and it's just gonna be that color. Well it has now been almost 3 weeks since my 9 month old puppy has been eating this twice daily and there have been no positive changes. Stool is still too moist, has the funny green color in and to it, and he is having a bowl movement at least 4-5 times daily. This does not seem right to me (having owned dogs for over 30 years). So I have come to the conclusion I am not satisfied with this product like I was expecting. I would have given a 4 star review but I felt the additional deduction of a star was necessary to reflect the price. Like I stated it cost about $8 more a bag for 6lbs less than Blue Buffalo (the first star reflecting the stool consistency and frequency caused by this product). I do not want to say this is a bad product for dog fore my puppy is one of several and all other reviewers seem to be extremely satisfied, I myself am not. Maybe it is an ingredient that is in this product that was not in Blue Buffalo or who knows what, however I personally feel it's not the proper product for my puppy and will be taking the bag back to Petco today for an exchange.Dogs_R_Life

What can you say about a rage bug? One of the best plastics ever made. Blue craw rage bug is my absolute go to creature bait. More fish have been caught on this bait than any other. Great for bass. Up in Minnesota we don't see that many large bass but the first day trying the rage bug out nailed a 3.2lber and a 2.7lber + lost one around the same size. Very effective. Also if you take off the arms and the middle lower limbs it kinda looks just like a frog in my opinion. Got a couple out of the lily pads this way. Also we managed to snag two northern pike off of these guys. One chased it down and struck right at the boat. Very effective in many manners of fishingRatRodVenne

I bought this to use as a trailer for a swim jig, but ended up throwing it Texas rigged in place of a brush hog I was using earlier. The lure catches fish. The watermelon red flake got the job done. I will be purchasing more colors.MusicCity

I have had no problems using "Adams flea & tick spot on" treatments on my dog for the last year. My dog is a large dog. He weighs 85 pounds. He has had no negative reactions to this product. My dog is mostly an 'indoor dog'. The amount of time he is exposed to ticks and fleas is very limited. My only dislike with the Adams is that it seems a bit 'greasy' and can be difficult to applyimg to his upper neck behind the shoulders. Some of the liquid seems his dense hair and maybe not enough to his skin, which could be a waste. I shall soon transfer to a less greasy brand. If your dog does not have such dense hair this should not be a problem. Just follow the instructions on the box.dadm

This flea and tick treatment is a great deal. Bio spot defense kills fleas, the methoprene in it also kills their eggs and larvae as well as ticks and mosquitoes. It's water resistant, so you don't have to worry about your pet being in the rain. The ingredients are similar to other products. The best part is the applicator. Open the applicator, stick an unopened tube in, and close it. It automatically snaps the tube open. Then to apply, you just place the tip on your pet, press the button and move to another spot, press again, and once more. Remove the tube and discard. You can then reuse the applicator with your future treatments. I got none on my hands and it applied the treatment deep within my dog's coat. Does it work? Well I haven't seen any fleas or ticks yet. The price is great so I will continue to use this throughout the summer and fall.ella.c

My dog seems to be doing fine with this product. When i first applied it, i had given him a bath just 2 hours prior. I found out that giving a bath 48-72 hours prior to application of a topical flea preventative is best instead of 1-2 hours because bathing a dog will naturally strip the skin and coat of oils, oils that are needed for the flea product to distribute itself around the body of the dog through the process of Translocation.Anyways the first time i applied the product i still saw fleas. I waited about 2 weeks after the first application and reapplied a 2nd one due to my concerns that bathing him right before i applied the 1st application made the product less effective. It seems to be working now. Great price (Especially on Amazon). The fact its not as waterproof as Frontline Plus kinda irks me, but i only bath my dog monthly anyways (Somehow he remains clean even though he's rolling out in the dirt everyday!) and he rarely gets wet so no bother to me.You should also take into account that after you've applied Bio Spot or any other flea preventative if your home is infested with fleas and ticks, then they will still end up on the dog, but eventually be killed. We have been using Revolution on our kitty since he was 6 months old. He came to us from the shelter with coccidia and roundworm. No matter how hard we tried, the roundworm refused to clear. After reading that Revolution is the only flea product that also deals with parasites, we requested an RX from the vet. Within two weeks of starting him on Revolution, the roundworm finally cleared. He is now 3.5 years old, and he has never had another positive parasite test since. He is tested at least twice a year, because we walk him on-leash. He munches on grass where fleas could easily hitch a ride. Very effective product. I just wish it hadn’t doubled in price over the last year. The first time we put it on him, his fur disintegrated a bit at the application site. However, that has never occurred again in the three years since.zkid

I have a very picky eater Schnauzer. I can’t tell you how much money I spent oral flea medication and she would not eat it. I tried every trick. Then I went to over the counter transdermal flea medication. After applying, my dog for days acted like it was burning her, then there was this greasy spot on her fur. My vet suggested Revolution. My dog doesn’t react to the application. Plus it’s flea and heartworm together. Great value and easy to apply.Kage

Our dog does like like many of the flea Rx on the market, so we switched to Revolution a long time ago. She deals with it well. Usually, she will try to rub it off, so we take her on a really long walk, so she will forget about it. When we couldn’t get Revolution for a brief time, we were told that she could do K9 Advantax II. Our dog had a very bad 3 day reaction to that, I think it was because of the permethrin that is in it. So I’m so glad Revolution is available again, and bought her several doses right away. Never saw any fleas on her while using it.OrganizerPro

I am hesitant to use these types of products compulsively for preventive measures. Fortunately, We’ve not been in an area where fleas are out of control outside, as we have had problems in the past with other pets. These types of topical medicines would only be effective for a maximum of 1 1/2 to 2 weeks at best. And then our previous dog, and coincidentally our cat also, developed tumors where these types of medicines were being applied. I can’t say for certain that they were the cause. But it’s very suspicious that it happened in both animals. The dog we noticed first. And maybe a year or so later our cat. They both lived to past 11 years. And our dog was also on meds for epilepsy. Only briefly because he would spit out the meds no matter how clever I thought I was in hiding them. So, since he refused to take them, I stopped trying to make him. His grand mal seizures were frequent and long lasting. But, he just got better at spitting out the pills, even if I shoved them down his throat. i have only had to use these topicals a few times in our current dogs short life, so far. And it seemed to work fine and for as long as it said it was supposed to work. And when she or we seem a bit more itchy, I apply it again, and wait until it’s “needed”, again- as opposed to routinely scheduled once every month. And in my opinion, it works better than capstar, which is meant as a short acting topical to immediately relieve a flea problem getting out of control. But for whatever reason, this works better for us, even though it might take a few days to really notice results. (I never really noticed immediate results with. Capstar. It helped make the problem not get any worse. But it didn’t solve the problem either.)shelly.c

I have been using this product on my dog since I adopted her at 4 mos. There were 2 months, when I moved to a new state and was unable to find this product locally (*and hadn't heard of 1800petmeds yet) when I used 2 other products – my dog had a serious skin sensitivity to one, and the other gave her diarrhea for almost the entire month. I actually got my sister-in-law to drive me 2 towns away (about 1.5 hours) to purchae this product after that!Shiro and Kyla

I absolutely loved this for my fur babies! What I DID NOT love was that like this past year, flea/tick season was so weird! Twice I found LIVE TICKS on me, after loving up on my baby boy, Lizard. (Male black n white cat) He is an indoor/outdoor baby, but I haven't ever had a problem like this until now. Worth mentioning, my female brindle colored cat also had irritation from this year's applications. She has to have prednisone each day, along with a topical treatment, otherwise she's in agony from inflammation and itching! I am NOT stating that it was the fault of this brand. I have no proof of that. I just wanted to make others aware that these things happened after the dosing though.pamela.g
