This was prescribed by my vet and after a month and a half, so far so good. I have a 13yr old Aussie female and other than feeling a little pookie on the medication days, she is bouncy as ever. She was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma in the throat and the cancer was making its way down her throat. Palladia has stalled the growth as far as we can tell. This really is a tremendously different product. 127 settings seemed overwhelming to me. As I use this more and more as I train my dog, I’m able to see what that really means. In the past, collars I’ve used only had a few settings, so moving up or down a notch so to say was a dramatic difference, while the dogtra allows me to fine tune the stim very minimally until I find my dogs “number” for the variety of situations. I feel this is really helping the bond with my dog and therefore training is improved.MountainGSD

I bought the Dogtra 280C to use with my very active and agile 1 year old Toy Austrailian Sheppard for stopping unwanted behaviors like digging up my lawn and attacking the cat. The transmitter and receiver both hold charges for days, and easily sync by just holding the two units next to one another at the red dots for a second. The 1/2 mile range is more than enough to reach out and touch her for a friendly reminder to come in for supper. The LCD screen is super nice to see stimulation level at night or when I don't have my glasses with me. My Labrador had stitches in her front leg right on the ankle joint so it was at high risk of infection as very close to the bone. I was hoping this would negate the need for the huge buster collar however, she would still lick at it through the sleeve and make it wet therefore increasing the risk of infection to the wound. She therefore still had to wear the buster collar as well as the sleeve to stop her licking it. Within a couple of days, there was a hole in the material of the sleeve and since then, a further tear has developed, so the quality of the material is not that good. She has also worked out how to get her leg out of it so all in all, it hasn’t been that great! That said, I would still recommend using one as it was better than not having the wound covered at all but for me, it didn’t negate the need for a buster collar unfortunately.Julieann

1 Very happy owner and one calm snoring Dog. He`s been at the top of his leg the last few days and licked it raw . No socks long enough and a long sleeved T shirt was not a success . Ordered this sleeve out of desperation . Money well spent ….. came in a flash and as soon as I put it on he seemed really excited and happy, running round barking the way he does before we go a walk. Now he`s sleeping and not looked at his leg once. Its made of a sweatshirt type fabric , the leg size is more important than body girth as there is lots of Velcro and poppers so easy to adjust so it fits comfortably , I`m glad I did not go for the XL as his chest measurement was borderline the L fits perfectly. Tip to anyone whose dog is prone to chewing….. Deep Heat spray a little on the outside of the fabric& let it dry before you put it on them. Dogs don't like the smell and wont lick /Chew.Mary

This item was recommended by a vet as my dog wouldn’t stop licking an open sore. We tried the common collar but she’s just too old for that and it was distressing for us both. I have had to use this product a couple of times and it has worked on the dogs that I have sprayed. Now when they see me riding my bike they do not even come after me. The only issue is that you will only get about 5 good spray shots out of the 1.5 oz. can before the pressure is reduced.jbladine55

I have had this since January of 2018, best purchase IMO, is it perfect? No, does it work really really well? Yes it does. Is it sometimes slow to lock onto your phone? Yes, easy fix as I turn the collar and receiver on prior to getting ready or when we get into the car, that way everything is good to go when its time to go. The longest it has taken to acquire and lock on to my phone had been around 5 minutes. I use this several (3-4) times and week and haven't had any issues with the collar prongs bothering my dogs neck or causing issues. IMO it is an excellent value for the cost and its peace of mind knowing I know where my dog is at all times.Alexis

So far I have not used this to train my pup. My pup is to young (only 4 months). I have down load the App to my I Phone & have set it up for use. So far everything has been straight forward & easy to set up. The website for the product contains a lot of information on how to use this product for training & for Trouble Shooting if needed. This collar has tracked my husky as she ran off leash while out on hikes. It shows on our phones where she is, when she stops running, when she barks and what path she takes. It is neat to be able to watch the paths she takes when chasing the deer in the woods. It has tracked her over half a mile away. My only comment – which has more to do with my dog than the collar – is that the shocks don’t seem to phase her. I think her fur may be too thick.Dallas

Apoquel has done wonders for my German Shepherd who recently developed seasonal allergies at six years old. He was scratching and biting at himself 24/7 and he caused an infection on his foot from the constant licking. He was so miserable until our vet put him on apoquel along w an antibiotic for his infection. The apoquel worked very quickly with relief felt later the same day he started. It’s pricey but so worth every penny. Vet believes he’ll need to stay on it until we see at least two morning frosts.Diane Y

It Immediately helped my terrier stop gnawing his poor little leg raw. Every spring he has seasonal allergies possibly just allergic to the grass. The one thing he loves … But he can go out just to go potty for a second in the spring time & come right back in & he's licking his back legs raw every time. I've Checked him over for fleas or ticks & he's treated for those too. but can't find any other reason than allergy related excuses. so my Vet tried him on Apoquel for a couple weeks & immediately he was relieved of itching. in the couple of weeks his hair grew back & my baby was all good to go. I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. I highly recommend trying this if your pets dr thinks it's a good fit.michelle.e

We bought this for our fur baby after she had spaying surgery and it was amazing. Not only was it easy to use but it helped keep her calm and comfortable during her healing time. The only downside is you have to unfasten it and kinda tuck n roll it when you take them out to potty. Still 100% recommend!!!StMi

I have an 11 pound puppy that was just spayed. So I purchased this to keep her from licking her incision site as she was able to get out of her ecollar and chew it up. What I liked about this pro collar is that her view wasn't obstructed and that she wasn't running in to my walls, furniture etc. she also seemed to be more comfortable in it. What is unfortunate is that she was still able to reach her incision site to lick if she really tried. I can really see this product working on a larger dog that has longer distance between their mouth and site of incision as not only would I need a larger pro collar and the dog would have to really bend farther to reach the incision. This is why I gave it three stars and not a 1 star. I don't see it working in situations where incisions are on limbs and such. So for instance, if my long 80 pound lab needed to have surgery on his belly or torso area I would purchase this again because he will have a longer distance to reach than my tiny flexible puppy. I have this collar. I used it last year when one of my girls had a lump removed from her chest. It was so much more comfortable for her to sleep in that a cone. She was able to see, eat, drink and do pretty much anything while wearing it. I just pulled it out again because my other girl had a cancer lump removed from her armpit area. I have Dachshunds so no cone stops them from licking if they have an injury lower than their midsection. But this worked wonders for both when the injury was on the chest and waist area. Some tips.. 1. It does require a collar to be attached to the inside loops to keep it securely on your dog. You can't just Velcro it on their neck or your dog will probably find a way to take it off pretty quickly. Also, make sure the ends of the tube are touching when you Velcro it or your dog can get around it to chew. 2. Make sure it id inflated enough. If it is not, your dog will get it off. 3. If your dog has an injury that is lower than waist area, it may not be enough to keep them from reaching that area.lilys mama

I've now purchased this twice for my cat when she had minor surgery and it has been a complete godsend. My cat was so stressed out with the cone because it significantly impaired visibility and didn't allow use of her whiskers. She was constantly stressed and trying to hide in the darkest, tiniest, craziest spaces, and would get stuck with the cone and unable to get out or move. Poor kitty. 🙁 She has a history of being bullied by other animals she lived with before we rescued her, and while she is usually very comfortable in our home, she was so scared and stressed from being unable to assess her surroundings and move around freely. Before we knew about the collar we tried a soft cone (didn't help) and two kinds of bandages (didn't stop her from picking at the wound anyway). Then we found ProCollar (the 2nd one we bought is called ZenCollar but it looks/functions the same) and it was such a lifesaver! Once we put this on her, she became almost instantly more relaxed and back to the sweet and loving cat we knew. I am so thankful somebody thought of this idea and made it!!! The idea of my poor cat being stressed out for two weeks (while probably in pain and not feeling good during recovery) made me so sad. I have not had any issues with leaks as others had, but if I did, I would just go buy more, it is that great of a product. My cat had sutures in two places (from two different procedures a year apart) – on her front leg and near her butt – and she wasn't able to reach either place with the ProCollar. The Dogtra Arc collar is just what my American Treeing Feist, 11 month puppy needed. I had borrowed the same collar from my daughter for about a month, but she needed it back, so for the past two months he had begun to get a little independent in the woods. As soon as I put the new Arc collar around his neck, he was a changed dog. Even without paging him, he began to hunt about 75 yards out and would return to check on me every few minutes. Whenever he gets out of sight, and seems to wander too long, I simply "page" him about three seconds and he comes running. Only twice in the past week have I had to stimulate him, somewhere between level 6 and 11. Then for a day or two after that, only the pager button is needed to turn him around. I switched from Whistle to Tractive for my cat, Knuckles. BEST CHOICE EVER. I find it much, much more accurate than Whistle and the features are awesome! I live on the Columbia River in St. Helens, Oregon. We are remote and surrounded by forest and water. Knuckles (aka “The OG”) likes to walk the “hood” like a mafia Don. We’ve had a couple visits to the emergency vet lately 😒. The Whistle was just too limited in what it can do, so I bought Tractive (much cheaper and I liked the features advertised). WOW!!!! So earlier tonight I was notified he’d left his virtual fence, so I used live tracking. Holy smokes! It’s outstanding! I watched him dart all over the damn place and I’m like “COME on ya idiot cat”. I started activating the sound feature and watched him react…..😂😂🤣, then the light feature. He got annoyed and started for home, so I used the AR feature and met him about 500 yards up my road. I’m so impressed I can’t even find words. The only thing I’m having trouble with is showing time and speed in the map settings. I use this on my iPad but will try again using the website. I have a dog who loves to escape from the garden. Having spent much of lockdown fencing the garden she still manages to find ways out. If she can't burrow under she goes over. No sooner have I blocked one escape route she has found another. Now with the tracker I receive alerts as soon as she leaves the safety of the garden and I can retrieve her quickly. The peace of mind is well worth the cost. There are other features which are interesting but we don't really use such as how much time she spends asleep per day or how much exercise she takes. The rubber clips which attach the tracker to her collar are rather fragile, but customer support have sent me 3 replacements free of charge. We do get some false alerts that the dog has escaped, but having set the virtual boundary close to the house this is probably bound to happen and I'd rather have this than to miss an escape. Battery life is about 3 days which is more than adequate. The tracker is a little bulky for a small dog (miniature Dachshund) but she's used to it. Overall I am very satisfied with the device and would recommend it for anyone with a Houdini pet.Andrew G.

I hesitated to buy this for a while, since it was a lot of money for me with the subscription cost too. I did a lot of research and finally took the plunge. I had some concerns about my dog running away, getting out or being swiped, but buying this product instantly stopped those concerns. This is so much more than just a tracker. It blew me away. It’s like a FitBit for dogs as well. It keeps track of how active my dog is, tracks her energy output, sets goals for her and even tracks her sleep/rest times. It inspired me to get her out for longer, so she’s healthier for it. I love the live tracking feature. I find it works really well and it’s so easy to locate her, so the peace of mind it gives is next level. I know some have complained about the service in remote areas, but any GPS requires high signal areas. You need to consider how any GPS products would work if you’re in a remote location, although I’ve done a lot of research on this product and heard quite a few people in remote areas had no issue. I love the battery saving feature where you can mark a “safe zone” for the product to go into power saving mode in. You can click a button to check that the product is still working and online while in the “safe zone”, which is helpful. It charges ridiculously quickly and a single charge can last days if your dog spends time in the “safe zone”. The corresponding app works incredibly well too. It’s not glitched once in months of use and works quickly and smoothly. This product was worth every cent. It’s so well designed and thought out, it’s such a smart little product. It’s slimline, succinct and stylish. I feel so much better when she has it on. I’ve gotten so many friends onto this product and everyone loves it. It’s absolutely worth it.bellsssss

My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Because of the covid situation and proximity of timing to our trip to see family, there was no way to get her to a vet in time before we had to leave in 3-4 days. So we did the best we could with a dropper to feed and water her and rushed out to get Vetericyn to help stave off the infection which reduced the angry redness to a healthier pinkish. For the very few days we had before we had to go, I was keeping her hydrated and was spraying her face with the Vetericyn regularly (as directed) even as we headed out the door with one last treatment. We did cut our weekend trip short by a day out of concern for her, but when we came back she was doing significantly better in that the swelling was down, but was reddened again. Back to the spray treatment, make sure she got dropper-watered, and by that evening she was gingerly back to parking in her 'askance' spot hoping for bits of our chicken dinner! Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I caught the spots early on and started treating them immediately and have been treating them for a month now and they are getting better but slowly, these things are stubborn. I can say that absolutely nothing else I tried worked. Believe it or not, I read online the other day that rubbing Pepto Bismol on hot spots actually works, you heard right, Pepto Bismol. I haven't had the nerve to try it as I thought it could just be some nut trying to infect your pet even worse. You just cannot trust anyone anymore, especially after what happened in 2020, if you know what I mean.bandit74

I have a cat that has had a lot of poor reactions to antibiotics, but this one has appeared to work well. She's about 10 years old and has multiple issues with antibiotics – amoxycillin makes her throw up, others can give her other side effects, but Zeniquin seems to work for her. We were prescribed to give her a half-tablet of 25mg (so 12.5mg) daily for 30 days; so 15 tablets total.Brett

The extra large cone was just exactly the right size for our oversized (tall, but thin) yellow lab. The cone was a vast improvement over the hard plastic one provided by our vet. Our dog's regular collar fit through the elastic loops, and he was clearly much more comfortable with this softer material as were we when he ran into us. This cone lives up to it’s namesake! The padding is substantial to provide necessary comfort and the fabric felt thick and durable. The fabric appeared to be something that should clean easily. Excellent cone. She is much happier with it on than when wearing the plastic cone from the vet. We are happier too, as it is more flexible, so she doesn't knock things over so much, and she can still cuddle up with us on the sofa. Only issue (which I think would be the same with the plastic cone) is that she has learnt to be able to chew the dressings on her paws even when wearing the cone. She excels in removing them! Nonetheless, the cone is worth having, as it does reduce the frequency of having to put new ones on.Clare R.
