Like older adults, older dogs need dietary items that are good and good for them. Logan likes the Beneful dry also, but he does better on Beneful Wet foods. Our Vet says that even though Logan has been mistreated to the point that he has his digestion problems, Beneful is the best food for him and his 14 yr old system. He still likes his fresh salmon, wild rice, carrots and brussel sprouts he gets every other Sunday, but he's just as happy with his Beneful Chopped Beef and Chopped Salmon to name a couple. 🐕🐩🐶🍖🐾 I have a little pomeranian that is very picky! He's a much older dog who has cataracts and isn't very active. He was a rescue dog when I got him he already had all his ailments. I really like that this food is mostly soft even though it is considered dry dog food. I also like that you could see the vegetables in the food as well! I bought this first time for Pnut (Peanut). It made him nutty and neurotic. It did something horrendous to him. He did great with "calming" chews that have suntheanine (an amino acid) I saved it away in a drawer… this stuff lasts for years because it is a tincture with glycerine. Pnut died. when buying dog food, I always look at the ingredient list. first item should always be the main ingredient as advertised on the bag. so for this instance, this should have chicken or beef as the first few ingredients. not corn. this will definitely be useful for treats and training commands, as they gobbled it right up! though I'd definitely recommend a different product for daily meals. in terms of likeability, they loved it. I view it as junk food. so, it's good for treats, not healthy for mealtime.

My little Havanese is getting older and has unfortunately started losing some of her teeth. Eating dry food has become more challenging for her. I’ve had to mix dry food with wet food for her to be able to eat it. This product is great for her because it has tender bites in it which are easy to chew for my small dog. I recently changed my dog over from a purina food that shes been on fir many years to Hills science diet Age defying dry dog food. I folliwed my vets instructions and slowly weaned my dog over. We went threw the first 2 bags with now problem. By the time we got 3 bags in she was eating just the Hills Science Diet. When i purchased and first opened bag #3 to feed my dog she sid not eat rite away. This is Highly unlike my pup who normally gobbles all down in seconds. Eventually though, she ate the food and i didnt think much more. In the next 24 hours soft stool started. This continued for 2 days befor turning ti bloody stool. An abrubt visit to the vet uncovered no real answer other than obvious vissous diarrhea. They reccomended a bland diet of white rice and boiled chicken and perscribed and anti-inflammatory/anti diarrghea medication and reccomended possible emergency vet visit if not improved in the coming days. I took my do off the Hills food and instantly she seemed to improove. After finihing the medication from the vet they reccomended slowly weaning off the chicken &rice back onto her normal diet. So i added a small bit if the Hills bag of food that we had (bag #3) and back came the issue. Back to the vet, more test…no conclusion. Stoped and went back to chicken and rice and Improvement again! Finially decided ti go back and get a bag if our old purina dog food and stated trying to wean from chicken and rice to this dry dog food….success! Vet concluded all signs lead to this bag of Hills Science diet was the ussue…..you must recall!!!!save your animals people!! DDONT FEED

This is the only brand of dog food that doesn’t upset my Pitbulls stomach. Plus she absolutely loves it! I can even give her individual kibble pieces as treats because she loves it that much. However, I personally think that the guide for how much food you should give your dog per day is very inaccurate. It says to give my 45lb Pitbull 2x the amount of food than what the vet said to give her. If I gave her the amount of food the bag suggested, she would be so overweight. I have two Boston terriers. One of which has very sensitive issues when it comes to dog food. It would literally be months before I was able to find a dog food that he would eat without vomiting. It honestly became part of my daily routine to clean vomit up 20 to 30 minutes after “Wesley“ ate. My vet recommended many many dog foods and all to the same avail, vomiting 20 minutes after he ate. GET THIS!!! I was hesitant to buy due to the price but it is worth every penny. Our rescue puppy had severe separation anxiety and would cry in his crate every night, throughout the night – this completely stopped after we paired him with his Snuggle Buddy. He LOVES his Buddy. A couple of user tips that worked for us:- after washing the Snuggle Buddy, we lightly rubbed our worn socks on it. Why? Bc our socks are an easy way for our dog to have our scent on his Buddy. This might help those whose dogs won’t take to the Buddy. Our puppy was apprehensive at first, but after we rubbed our socks on it, he immediately plopped down on it and slept. Attached is the picture of him that night :)- we *only* give him the Buddy in his crate, when he’s going to bed or will be crated for some time. He has a Pavlovian response and will automatically go into his crate as soon as he sees the Buddy; this might help some dogs with crate training. We also only give it to him in his crate because he tried shredding it, thinking it’s a toy, when he’s taken it out of the crate. We eliminated that by removing and putting away his Buddy every time we wake him up or let him out of his crate.- I bought bulk Hot Hands hand warmers as refills for heat. Get the small ones made for pockets; the body ones are too large and emit too much heat IMO. The pocket ones are perfect and last 12ish hours.- I also play soothing anti-anxiety dog music or put on a dog music channel from YT (they have ones like a walk on the beach or forest, with dogs in the background). I feel like this combo of the Buddy + music are the one-two combo that make our puppy KO haha.I hope this helps those with puppies or dogs who need extra comfort!

Honestly, I don't know how well this product really works. I brought home my toy/miniature poodle mix on June 8 at age 8 weeks and 1 day, and since he was the first littermate separated, I expected it to be bad. I had a 10 hour drive home, and while he did cry and whine a bit, it wasn't too bad. He cuddled with his snuggle puppy at first, but not too much after that. He seemed to prefer beating it up and pushing it out of the spot I had put it in so he could sit there instead. He still beats it up a bit, but he also drags it back to bed after a while, so maybe he does like it.I crate trained him for overnight only (he has a large playpen for the daytime for the short amounts of time I need to be out of the house), and he adjusted quite quickly. I think I got lucky in the dog temperament lottery, though, and am not really sure I can attribute his quick adjustment to crate training to the snuggle puppy. I turn the beating heart feature on every night just in case it is working, but it's hard to say how effective it is. The first 4 to 5 nights I had him home, he cried and whined for the first 20-30 minutes he was put in the crate. Then I would take him outside after 2 hours for potty and put him straight back in and the crying/whining would start again. It was a very sleepless week until I realized that he could hold it for 4 hours at a time and we only have to get up once a night.After the first week, he adjusted to his crate and has never had an accident in there. He doesn't cry at all and is very reluctant to come out at 4 in the morning when it's potty time. I would say that if you have the extra money, get this product because it definitely doesn't hurt to have it. I really do think it's more about being present for your pup's adjustment period and not sticking him in the crate too often than it is about the efficacy of this product. I will say though that I don't use the snuggle puppy in his playpen, and he does still cry a lot in there, so maybe it is effective!

I've only had this Snuggle Puppy for a couple days so I can't comment on durability or anything. I suspect the only issue I'll potentially run into that could cause issues is how well the puppy holds up to washing. I didn't buy this for a puppy. I actually bought it for newly hatched ducklings in a brooder. Sometimes the time between hatchings leaves me with a single duckling for a day or two. Putting a baby with an adult duck isn't a safe option so I was trying to find an alternative. Stuffed animals help some but I got the feeling they really wanted a heartbeat to calm them. They may have feathers instead of fur but they're still babies!So far I'd say it's duckling approved! After snuggling with regular stuffed animals in his brooder, Eggwyn would peep hysterically for someone to pay attention to him. After putting him near Snuggle Puppy he's finally settled down and sleeping quietly. Ducklings poop a LOT so I know Snuggle Puppy will need to be laundered frequently if he stays with the ducklings. Hopefully he holds up.Edit: Snuggle Puppy survived living with 22 newly hatched ducklings in a brooder, staggered hatching over the course of several weeks. He got pooped on a few times and washed perfectly in the washing machine. I now have two ducks who imprinted on us (didn't have ducklings their age to imprint on), and since they're human ducks they sleep in the bedroom. They sleep under my bed with their Snuggle Puppy every night. About once a week or so Snuggle Puppy will get pooped on, and duck poop is gross (big duck poop is bigger and grosser than duckling poop), so Snuggle Puppy gets tossed in the laundry with the ducks' bedding. He's holding up amazingly well.After seeing how much our ducklings loved their Snuggle Puppy I decided to buy one for a friend as a puppy shower gift. They tell everyone how much their puppy loves her Snuggle Puppy. She sleeps with it in her crate every night, which means they can sleep too.Lesson learned? No matter what species your critter baby is, everyone will love a Snuggle Puppy! I only wish it was easier to get replacement hearts. I'm worried I'll forget to pull the heart out before washing puppy one of these days which would surely kill it.

In the last 3-4 months the Shredded blend is horrible. There are no moist chicken pieces and is just dry kibble and my dogs will not eat it. I complained to the company where I order my food from telling them that they sent me the wrong product. They sent me another bag and there's still no chicken pieces. I did not read Purina's own reviews, instead I concentrated on others. My poodle loved the Small Breed Petite Races Chicken and Rice, but beginning in around Feb 2022, she started to not love eating. We thought she was either ill or it was perhaps the rawhide bones or her new "trio" heartworm-flea-tick med. I recently read the Purina's own reviews and many say this food smells. I took my now 5 month old kitten (4 LB 6 oz) to the vet yesterday and decided I should get him a different carrier, one that would be more comfy for him and easier for me to carry too! Again, he is a 5 month old kitten, unfortunately he JUST fits into this carrier. Also, the shoulder/crossbody strap is impossible to latch on because the plastic on the latch has no give. I've had other Sherpa pet totes in the past and I wish this were made in a similar manner, providing strong support on the bottom but it does not. I am concerned after reading other reviews about kitties clawing their way out. I would be mortified. It seems to be of decent quality in terms of the fabrication and stitching. I do not want to return but feel the size is a major issue and for $30. I'd rather not have a carrier that can only be used for a few months. I have been using these large Permate dog houses to house my Nigerian Dwarf goats for many years. They have made "affordable housing" for my goats. I will say that my bucks (boys) are much harder on the houses than the does (girls). Both genders jump on top, but the bucks crack the rain shield by jumping on top of the houses. This happens after a while, not right away. I don't blame the company that makes these because they are intended for dogs, not goats that love to climb! I do wish the tops would be stronger to prevent this problem from happening. Another area to improve design would be for the top to somehow lock on to the base. When my Great Pyrenees (GP) dog goes inside to lay down, the lid can lift/tilt off. The large size is not big enough for a GP. The price keeps going up, and I'm not pleased with having to pay more. I wait until the neighbor club coupon comes out to buy any needed replacement houses. Over the years I've bought countless Permate Large dog houses, so I know these pretty well! The dog house comes in two parts – top and bottom. They do not snap together; the top merely sits on the bottom. No hardware is provided to attach the two and even if there was there are no holes through which one would thread screws or bolts (or whatever) to keep the dog house together. I use these for my goats because these houses are inexpensive but the goats knowingly and regularly have fun pushing up on the exit/entrance hole to "break" the house into two pieces. A balanced diet for dogs based on actual scientific research that doesn’t rely on marketing buzzwords. Also one of the few brands not plagued by recalls. There’s a reason so many breeders and show handlers feed Purina Pro Plan to their dogs! We. Had started with the shredded chicken flavor, but transitioned to the lamb when my puppy wasn’t enthusiastic about much beyond the shredded pieces in the chicken flavor. I still have a light mix of the chicken variety in her bowl as we finish off that bag (and I always transition dog food slowly to prevent tummy problems), but she’s hunting and pecking for the lamb kibbles in her dish. I don’t know much about kibble but my pup has been eating this well with no concerns or stomach sensitivities. My pup previously tried 3 other high end foods but quickly turned them away within a week and had frequent gas and bloating. My 3 month old Border Collie pup loves Purina Pro Plan lamb and rice puppy food. Breeder recommended. He has a very shiny coat. The vet says he is growing very nicely. Such a fantastic play set for my 5 year old daughter. Easily her favourite toy to play with. The packaging is mostly cardboard and easy enough to open. I often find the string used to tie toys to the box is very hard to cut open but didn't have the same problem with this toy. All the little items were safety stored in the box. Overall the set looks great. Easy to use and safe to play with (not safe for smaller children as it contains a lot of small parts). I really liked how many little details were taught of when making this set. There are loads of small animals to play vet with (all very cute) with little nests for them. Tiny bottles and syringe.. even a stethoscope around Barbie's neck. The treehouse is quite detailed as well and such joy to play with. Barbie itself is dressed to the job and good quality. I don't think I've got any complaints regarding this set. Only thing to mentioned to keep way from small children as mentioned before but that's also marked on the box. Would definitely recommend buying this for a child who perhaps wants to become a pet.. or even if not they probably will after playing with this toy.KatS

My 5 year old daughter is a big animal lover so she was very excited when she received this play set! The tree house and rescue center are adorable. The tree has little cut out areas for the animals. There is also a rope bridge that a detachable basket can slide along to take the animals from the tree to their check-ups. The animals have got to be my daughter's favorite part of the set though. It comes with eight pets including two owls, two squirrels, two bunnies, a deer, and a fox. The animals and accessories to take care of them are very small, so just be aware of that it you have other little ones in the house. My vet questioned why I was feeding my beagle a lower quality food. My dog had digestive issues and was on the rounder side. My Yorkiepoo has a bit of a problem with constipation. At least twice over the years it's had him backed up enough that he required a trip to the vet and some meds to get his system moving. Since switching to this food (and keeping strict limits on table scraps and treats) his digestion's been great. Long enough, I want to say 2 ~ 3 years now, that if he does have any transient issues I'm confident his dry food is not to blame. And he's been in good health so I feel like he's getting the nutrition he needs. And the little bugger eats it. Not the foods fault but I will say I'm annoyed by the branding change from Focus. Not that I care about the name or picture on the bag, but when you find something good and don't want to change from it, such changes in packaging cause unneeded nuisance and stress. I actually use the lamb and rice so other than the protein everything else is the same I actually switched to it after the price of my dogs normal food got way to high. I definitely notice that her itchy skin is better her coat is shinier usually she will not eat plain dry dog food but because this has the boys dehydrated pieces of Liam edit she will eat it by itself which makes things a lot easier there are times that she does not want to eat it plain so I will moisten it with a little bit of water put it in the microwave for 12 seconds and she devours it. The thing I like about the small breed is the size of the kibble is perfect for her mouth size the price is quite good for what you get I definitely would recommend this my vet recommends this to all their clients my mother uses it for her schnauzer and we have not had any negative experiences I’ve been using this for a few years the only problem I have Kayla cross is that my local pet stores even though they are a big chain store have trouble keeping it in I don’t know if that’s due to popularity or because of shipping problems due to the pandemic we just went throughlaura.k

We are very active in the ring and eventing almost constantly at times going from one event to the next. Our fuzzy babies are beyond spoiled and are unfortunately very selective when it comes to kibble size. We have tried every size of kibble multiple times because the other isn't available and they will only eat the toy size. We have tried everything from breaking the larger kibble up to wetting it stirring it up to small pieces and drying it out, they will not eat it. We tried explaining to them that there is a pic of a Cavalier on the next size up but they don't care, Cavaliers are a toy breed and should have toy size kibble. They will dive into the toy size kibble and make it disappear as we pour it into their dishes. They truly love ProPlan Toy breed kibble. The reason they only got 4 stars is A BIG PROBLEM – availability. For some dumb reason the Toy size kibble isn't available in any pet store we have visited in MI, GA, FL, etc. (on the AKC circuit) What am I suppose to do when the only kibble our Cavalier pack will eat isn't carried in any stores. They only carry the next size up, which they won't eat. The second BIG PROBLEM is it only comes in a tiny bag! We have asked and asked to NO AVAIL (reps, stores,specialty stores, online stores). Appearantly toy size dogs aren't suppose to eat much kibble! The only other dogfood our dogs will eat is homemade fresh, that's it. Doesn't matter if it's in a pouch, can, tube. They will eat Toy ProPlan kibble. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make the Toy (Cavalier true size) ProPlan kibble available in a 20 or 25 lb bag for those of us who have larger toy breed dogs and may have more than one. Every 4 days we have to get another bag tiny bag of Toy Kibble. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE, bad marketing, and bad customer service. We are constantly looking for another brand of kibble that will work because it's expensive buying so many bags of food and impossible to find because suppliers look at the pics on your bags and think "let's get the one with the Cavalier on it", EXCEPT A CAVALIER IS A TOY BREED NOT A SMALL BREED.CKCS Toy Breed
