I originally bought one for my hamster a few years ago. It's a great size starting out and well made. My first hamster learned to climb out so you have to supervise (you should anyway whenever your hamster is out of its cage), but my new hamster does not try to climb out. I bought another pen and they link together. It's great for taming your hamster and also for toys and wheels that would normally crowd the cage. You can literally buy 10 and link them, but 2 together is actually plenty of space. I like this pen better than the one they sell with loops on the top. Your hamster can get stuck in those! This is my third play pen for my 8 month old puppy. He likes to chew on the zipper and anywhere he can get his teeth on. We've had it for a few weeks now and he hasn't messed it up. It's probably because he's getting a bit older. We use a clip to keep the zipper closed because he will get out during the day when we dont want him to. Wish it came in a larger diameter, but I think the 38 will work for now. The puppy will only be about 4 pounds when I get her but will grow to be 8-10 pounds, so the pen should give her enough room to play until she is trained. I also like that it has a zippered top that can be taken off while inside or zipped on if outside because she is small enough to become prey to hawk, owls, or coyotes. Also like the pockets, the tote bag, and the fact that it is so light weight.

Love that’s it’s washable. I got the medium and it’s a great size. Good for in and out doors. I know some said for indoors the dogs would flip it. Which I have a 4lb puppy that does just that. Good quality for an excellent price. This is very well constructed and is surprisingly easily handled by one person. The entire pen is secured with two included hooks and then can be configured to any shape necessary. This size should provide adequate space for small dogs to enjoy for quite play. The height of this particular size may be overkill for small dogs unless they are agile jumpers. I ordered this for my greyhound for leisurely sunning without needing a leash. I prefer them to crates as the dogs have more room to move around, yet they are easily configured to a smaller shape when potty training. They easier to clean than crates. They fold flat and I can store them next to a fridge or behind a furnace. They work indoors/out and are great mobile containment. For dogs living in fenceless areas (condos) ex-pens can be linked using carabiners/bolt snaps (i.e., dog leash clips) for fencing moveable for mowing/snow removal. They are great for patio surrounds. You can buy metal tops for if a dog needs more containment, but most won't if using a tall enough ex-pen. I've also bought just the metal or plastic crate pans to put under the ex-pen if needed. The quality is top-notch, with plenty of clear and illustrated instructions that are really not even necessary as it's so simple to set up. My one and only quibble is that the box opened nearly the full length of the side during shipping. I think the packing tape gave way. All parts were intact and nothing was damaged so just FYI. I'm now going to buy another one of these for the back yard. I was going to transport this one in and out rather than spend the money since it's (I'm hoping) not a life-long need, but while it's so easy to fold and move, it is pretty heavyweight (42") so it'd be a bit of a chore for me to do often. I ordered several of these to use as barriers to prevent my young Border Collie from running through the mud in our back yard after it rains. I set them up just off the patio several feet to allow him some space in the grass without giving him free reign of the whole yard to run through. They are very easy to set up, take down, and store! The quality is excellent – the panels are very sturdy, the clips are easy to use, and the pins to anchor them in the ground are a great length and weight. I could not be happier with this purchase! Product is not the same as the playpen I ordered a few months ago, even though the order was placed as a "reorder". The firsrt playpen worked well but the zippers wore out after a few months use. I went to my account and reordered item thinking it would be the same but this one has a flimsy bottom that attaches with some small velcro patches, even velcro completely on the bottom might work better. Any pet can escape, which defeats the purpose. I still can't understand how a "reorder" turns out to be a completely different product. Very disappointed.shoppermom9392
the puppy I put in it got out in less than thirty min. because of the sloppy w the floor section was put together. it seems extremeley stupid to put 8 very small Velcro pieces on the floor piece 7 & expect it to hold when there are ripples in the spaces between the Velcro large enough for just about any size dog to put its head through. I have some strong hold Velcro so I am going to correct the problem. for the price it was an ok buy & I can repair the problem. I would tell others to buy if they want to deal with the problem.caregiver
After receiving this playpen and setting it up – found a small hole in the side. I was very disappointed, since we had just purchased a 8wk old puppy. I was desperate for someplace to put her to while I worked/or cleaned the house. I didn't want to put her in a small kennel and really thought this product would be my answer. We decided to keep the pen and try to fix the hole. I know Walmart would have taken the product back…but I was not sure the next one would be any better. AND the pen had a terrible odor. Strong chemical smell. I sprayed it with Febreze and set it outside in the sun for the entire day. Smell is much better…but you can still smell it somewhat. The good part is it folds up very nicely and we can use it while camping.

It is just the right size for me to use. I got it for indoor use. I have a very small poodle, she doesnt like the grass feel on her belly at all. I'm a new yorkie puppy owner. Can't let him run around doing his business, etc. The set up was a breeze! It's already put together. You just open it into the shape you want and place the 3 clips. I love the gate, which is ready to go, assembly already done for you. Comes with anchors for outdoor placement but if I had a larger dog, I would purchase sturdier anchors. These are smooth and will slip out of the ground easily if put under pressure by a larger dog. I purchased the 30" high style for the area it provided. I bought this because we just had a litter of GSDs. I will say this is very practical. You can fold and bring it to the park or even just to bring them outside if you dont have a fence. it is very portable. i wouldnt recommend this for people with large dogs. My full grown german shepard can easily knock it over or even jump over it. It comes with little pins you can use to secure it to the ground. 10/10 would recommend.Sara

It was like an all night carnival ride when we put him in it in our bedroom overnight! We thought it would serve as an extra kennel and pet carrier for him. He is only ten pounds and we purchased the small one. But, it is not substantial enough in weight to stay still when he decided to move around in it. This is lightweight, functional and versatile. We use it when we travel to relatives and in the back of our van to keep both our (small) dogs safe and in a familiar space when left alone. One of dogs is blind and this pen is always set up the same in unfamiliar places. It has a handy treat pocket and water bottle holder. Once you or your dog pushes even a bit against a panel, it warps too easily. Then the gate is hard to line up to close. Also, better quality products have a long rod that can be removed to rearrange the panels and change the location of the gated piece. Not these, there is not even a metal clasp between panels like in the product pictures, just interlocked end loops of the panel wire that can't be undone or changed.35Brian56

I received my first order and decided to return it becoz it’s so tall,our space is not that big so I ordered a smaller one which i love more but the problem is the 1st order that I received does not have the stopper and the locks, i just knew/learned about it when I already have the 2nd one, that’s when i’ve learned the difference. Easy to fold and move around. It is very flimsy. If my puppy jumped on it while it was set up in the house, she would be able to push it around the living room. She might even hurt herself by jumping on something that would not support her weight. The door is not sturdy and would not even open all the way. I do like that there is not a bar across the top of the door frame that I would have to go under each time I went in there to clean up. I returned this product and kept the sturdier one.Ashley

After using for a month, Today my (about 15 weeks old) golden retrievers PAW got wedged and stuck between the bars and I literally felt like superwoman and had to pry it open.
