I received this a few weeks ago and tried putting it on my bike and there weren't any straps to strap it to my bike so I had to use straps, then I tried to put the dog in the bag to see how it worked and the leash adjustment broke. I contacted the company and STILL waiting for a respond on if I need to purchase the straps or if they were missed in packing and if a new harness strap can be sent to replace the busted one. This is similar to a more well known product of the same type that we had bought previously. In fact it's VERY similar but about $100 less. The external clips and buckles are strong and fasten quite easily. The internal lead clips look and felt very weak. We have changed them for quality clips from our local hardware store for a few bucks. Had to do the same with the branded carrier we bought as well so we were expecting it. The pet carrier can be attached to a rack or via some large straps over a sissy bar. Having both systems available was a definite bonus. Bought Pet Palace a couple of months ago and my little fella is very comfortable,protected from the elements ( cooler weather) and definitely happier than in his milk crate. Lots of storage for leads,food and water plus baggies. This product is a little larger than the original one so is extra roomy and water bottle carrier at least you can put at a bottle in it and not wasted space. Lots of venting for warmer weather. The Pet Palace is a little on pricey side but I feel my co-pilot is safe and secure. He weighs 11 lbs.Pleasure
Very happy with the carrier so far except for the zippers. This is my second Pet Palace and I have had several zipper failures on each of them. I've been able to re-sew the zippers in a few cases but eventually they need replacement. Higher quality zippers would be nice; granted I use the bag every day so it gets a lot of use. Also, on this model the metal rod on one side eventually poked through the fabric and rubbed a hole in the fabric by the zipper. I repaired it and eventually shortened the metal rod a bit and repaired the hole it made so that it wouldn't poke through any more. If the metal support rod was bent at each end so that it followed the curve at the corner of the bag this might not happen and it might provide additional structure. Also I liked that the last model had two tether points on the inside of the bag (we travel with two tiny dogs). I riveted my own d-ring tether points on each corner of this one (like the old model) to give myself more flexibility. Other than that, it's a great bag.Jess

It's about as rigid as a plastic soda bottle so it will hold its shape, but it will also deform when strapped down, when your 20lb beagle mix leans out of it, etc. It is not a roll cage, so don't expect it to offer any sort of safety should you get into a bad accident, but really none of these things will so that's something you just understand when opting to take your dog with you on a bike. Also keep in mind that it's an echo chamber inside. A heavy blanket really dampens the sound, and seemed to satisfy my sensitive girl. All that being said, it's probably the best option on the market, especially for anything larger than a toy breed. The vents and pockets are nice. The attachment points are helpful and the included straps should be adequate, but I replaced them with something stronger. The size is about as big as I could fit on a DR650 between a tail box and myself. Not perfect, but no regrets.Matthew

Im not tipically a fan of soft carriers due to them collapsing on themselves even with the animal inside but this one is better than most for its other features. I used it a few times to transport my cats to vet appointments, the zipper is thick and strong so theres no easy escape. The carrier is a thick material but lightweight, wipes clean easy and store pretty flat. The strap is really nice for carrying my larger cats and the interlocking handles make for easy work. I bought this today at PetCo and although it says it is for a pet up to 25 lbs, my 15 lb cat looks very snug in it. The pad is not as cushioned as I would have liked, so I bought the smallest crate pad I could find. Unfortunately, that made it even smaller inside. It's sturdy and well-built, good frame and can be stored flat unzipped. It comes with a clip on expandable bowl. Great product. I just wish it had come a bit bigger.Arali
This is a really nice looking pet carrier. Both of my cats love the side opening, they like to take nape in there. The quality is really nice, you can tell that the construction is solid and will home up well. Maple issues I have that really brought the rating down are: 1. None of the zippers have locking features on them, and it’s easy for my cats to sneak out. 2. When using the front and back openings, the carrier isn’t structured enough to stay open unless both the front and back remain zipped closed. This makes it a struggle to coax a cat inside when the opening is smooshed. 3. The mesh for the cats to breathe through and see out of is really dark. They don’t have good visibility when inside, and it’s hard to me to check on them because it’s so dark. Overall, I think it’s not the best carrier because these design flaws are too big in my opinion to justify having this carrier when there are others that don’t have these design issues.Sarah

I've yet to try this on the bike and the pooch hasn't seen it yet so I'm not 100% sure I'll get to use it if she doesn't like it. But if I do it's very cleverly thought out and oozes quality. Loads of different mounting options and the pet's well being is very well looked after.Bob
Fits well on my 300f. Took some figuring out of how to fit the strapping base under the seat cowl since it's just a small. Hero is 18lbs and fits just fine would recommend pairing it with eye protectors when riding. Lots of pockets, but the downfall is that all the pockets also have mesh to allow greater airflow. We purchased this for our 15 lb. Pumi last year. He rode over 20k miles and loved it. However the bag has faded so badly it looks 10 years old. We never leave it outside. The top has broken down horribly and the "fur liner" disappeared somewhere around 10k miles. If you are a casual rider this is an excellent bag. It sat level on my tour pack rack (unlike the pet palace). It is VERY stable and all of the straps still look brand new, never any issues with them rubbing paint regardless of where I attach it. It's very good quality and definitely serves it purpose but after about 10 minutes the pressure on your shoulder from the weighted strap begins to ache. My doggy loves ut and is very comfortable in it, and its helpful to free up my arms. It's just the ache as any sling type backpack full of school books might.
