Let me lead with saying that after I came back here to look closer, yes, the website does indeed say these are tablets and not chewables. That said, I did not see that the first time I ordered and was misled by the "Generic for Heartgard" language. In human medicine, generic meds are the same as name brand and I made the (false) assumption this would carry forward. While these do indeed have the same active drug as the name brand, don't be fooled into thinking this is a "flavored" tablet. It's a very hard tab. My dogs usually willingly take medications even without an incentive like a treat. However, with these, it was a massive struggle. No matter what we tried to hide the tablet in, they refused to eat it, and even the old "put it in the back of their throat" trick was a struggle. For a comparison, if you've tried giving your dog Trifexis, it looks just the same. We eventually got these into our dogs, though it was traumatic for all involved. I certainly won't be doing this again. I'm returning the remainder and buying the name brand. The relatively small difference in price simply isn't worth the trauma to my dogs.Brandon

I have used tri-heart for many years on all of my dogs. I have never had a reaction any kind no matter what the age of the dog I am administering it to. I would recommend tri-heart as an affordable alternative to other brands. On the trails and at the beach, my mini Aussie usually manages a few bites of the "treats" left behind by other dogs; despite my vigillance using a training collar to correct undesirable behaviors. Because of this, the deworming benefits of Heartgard once a month are great, in addition to protection from heartworm transmitted by mosquitoes. The digestibility of Heartgard is also appreciated. Easily given as a treat with a meal, my mini Aussie never has any symptoms of an upset tummy or loose stools afterwards. I used to have a Basset Hound who had a very touchy tummy. The Heartgard Chewables worked well for her also, compared to other brands that she would not tolerate (voiding by regurgitating), even when splitting the dose between two meals. With the Heartguard Chewables, I would split the tasty chewable between two meals for my Basset and never had any issues– not even burping, as she would with other medications. Our 9 year rescue pup Lily, has been taking Heartgard since we adopted her at 12 weeks old. She has had issues through her life, bad hips resulting in surgery her first year, but her heartworm tests have always been negative. Lily has no problem taking them like treats. The 2 dogs we had before Lily were also on Heartgard with no problems. They both passed at 14 from complications of old age. At one point I considered changing meds, to something less costly, but decided I didn't want to take the chance with the dog I love.Barb

I’ve used this brand of heartworm medication for all of my dogs during their lives. I was an avid customer but since an incident with the company I now question if the product is still effective. Our 10 year old jack Russell was given heartgard monthly for her whole life when at 10 years old she tested positive for heart worms. Our vet is a participant of the heartgard satisfaction guarantee and rebate program so they immediately contacted the company with our previous negative tests and receipts to try to get them to pay for the expensive treatment. Instead of trying to immediately treat our dog they tried to poke every hole they could in our case. It took long time but eventually they did re-compensate us some amount of the treatment. Of course, as good pet owners, we immediately paid for the treatment that ultimately saved her life. It’s just sad that we could have lost our pet if we would’ve waited on the company to pay for treatment. The fact that she had been on heartgard monthly for her whole life & still contracted heart worms is what makes me question if this product is still effective. Another thing that really irks me about this company is that they have never sent me the promised rebates (prepaid Visa cards) they say should come in the mail 6-8 weeks after purchase of x amount of their products. Literally just in the lives of the dogs I have now equal $180 worth of not received rebates. It’s sad but now I will be looking for another brand & urge others to do the same. I agree that my dog, a lab hates the flavor and was seeking out the pill and spitting it out until I tried baby food turkey and chicken in the little jars. I use a baby spoon and bury the pill in the meat. She gobbles it up and does even notice even the pill. We do it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. I read some other reviews on how people are getting their dog to take the pill and I laughed because it's what I do also! Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. That too has resolved which makes me believe his liver is on the mend.Yvonne

This oximeter has a small finger detector which is held in place by l velco strap. Th sensor slips off the finger, and certainly will not function for a full night sleep monitoring test. The program also shuts off the recording if there is a disconnection of the finger sensor. The older model stayed running, so you could wash your hands after a mid-night toilet and resume testing. Who the heck is so cheep as to put a "User manual" in the box that is so small that it can not be read, even with a magnifying glass! The illustrations show that there is a program disk, but there is not. Try to download the program and you have to sign up to receive notices, etc. I had an older version/model that faithfully functioned seven years until the battery gave out. Yep, there is no replacement battery available. A very poor production/sales company now, in my opinion.geochemistry4u_7

The new finger probe that comes with the monitor brakes after a few months of use. The older type monitor seems the last a lot longer. I wear my monitor every night because my oxygen levels drop and I need an alarm to wake me up. I think the new probe that comes with the wrist monitor give a little better reading when you are active, but it just doesn't last very long and there doesn't seem to be any way to buy a replacement. This probe is a lot sturdier and I've had only one failure from this type of probe after a year of use. While these are still available I suggest you buy one or two as replacementsfwbaumann

The CONTEC 3-channel Holter monitor software has excellent display graphics,providing summary counts of PVCs, etc. I also has sophisticated Poincare plots, histograms, etc. for the cardiology expert. I am learning a lot of interesting new insights. There is however a serious area of deficiency in the waveform identification. For example, it FREQUENTLY mis-identifies something as simple as a PVC. Two PVCs a few seconds apart are perfectly identical in their waveshape, yet one is tagged "S" while the other is tagged "V". You can right-click it and manually correct the tag, but there are over 80,000 beats in a day. Scanning through a day's worth of data visually to correct those errors would be hopeless. The main reason I bought the unit was to visually learn how to identify EKG problems. For the price it is unbeatable, but no doctor would spend the time correcting mis-identified complexes.harrisd009

I have been using the cushings gold for just over a month on my dog Max. I share him with a close friend and we have both noticed a big difference. His begging for food and insatiable hunger has subsided. He is not urinating in the house anymore! Max is 10 years old and I lost my previous pomeranian to cushings disease. One cannot underestimate how important that herbals are made with high quality ingredients, correctly and by someone that understands their uses. PetWellBeing is all that. I was on the website looking for something to help my elderly chihuahua because I was unhappy with the meds the doctor had given me. I originally was just looking for a good GPS tracker but when I saw that this one tracked his health I was very excited. I use Fitbit so glad to see that I can link them. I switched from Whistle to Tractive for my cat, Knuckles. BEST CHOICE EVER. I find it much, much more accurate than Whistle and the features are awesome! I live on the Columbia River in St. Helens, Oregon. We are remote and surrounded by forest and water. Knuckles (aka “The OG”) likes to walk the “hood” like a mafia Don. We’ve had a couple visits to the emergency vet lately 😒. The Whistle was just too limited in what it can do, so I bought Tractive (much cheaper and I liked the features advertised). WOW!!!! So earlier tonight I was notified he’d left his virtual fence, so I used live tracking. Holy smokes! It’s outstanding! I watched him dart all over the damn place and I’m like “COME on ya idiot cat”. I started activating the sound feature and watched him react…..😂😂🤣, then the light feature. He got annoyed and started for home, so I used the AR feature and met him about 500 yards up my road. I’m so impressed I can’t even find words. The only thing I’m having trouble with is showing time and speed in the map settings. I use this on my iPad but will try again using the website. I have a dog who loves to escape from the garden. Having spent much of lockdown fencing the garden she still manages to find ways out. If she can't burrow under she goes over. No sooner have I blocked one escape route she has found another. Now with the tracker I receive alerts as soon as she leaves the safety of the garden and I can retrieve her quickly. The peace of mind is well worth the cost. There are other features which are interesting but we don't really use such as how much time she spends asleep per day or how much exercise she takes. The rubber clips which attach the tracker to her collar are rather fragile, but customer support have sent me 3 replacements free of charge. We do get some false alerts that the dog has escaped, but having set the virtual boundary close to the house this is probably bound to happen and I'd rather have this than to miss an escape. Battery life is about 3 days which is more than adequate. The tracker is a little bulky for a small dog (miniature Dachshund) but she's used to it. Overall I am very satisfied with the device and would recommend it for anyone with a Houdini pet.Andrew G.

I hesitated to buy this for a while, since it was a lot of money for me with the subscription cost too. I did a lot of research and finally took the plunge. I had some concerns about my dog running away, getting out or being swiped, but buying this product instantly stopped those concerns. This is so much more than just a tracker. It blew me away. It’s like a FitBit for dogs as well. It keeps track of how active my dog is, tracks her energy output, sets goals for her and even tracks her sleep/rest times. It inspired me to get her out for longer, so she’s healthier for it. I love the live tracking feature. I find it works really well and it’s so easy to locate her, so the peace of mind it gives is next level. I know some have complained about the service in remote areas, but any GPS requires high signal areas. You need to consider how any GPS products would work if you’re in a remote location, although I’ve done a lot of research on this product and heard quite a few people in remote areas had no issue. I love the battery saving feature where you can mark a “safe zone” for the product to go into power saving mode in. You can click a button to check that the product is still working and online while in the “safe zone”, which is helpful. It charges ridiculously quickly and a single charge can last days if your dog spends time in the “safe zone”. The corresponding app works incredibly well too. It’s not glitched once in months of use and works quickly and smoothly. This product was worth every cent. It’s so well designed and thought out, it’s such a smart little product. It’s slimline, succinct and stylish. I feel so much better when she has it on. I’ve gotten so many friends onto this product and everyone loves it. It’s absolutely worth it.bellsssss

This "original" Heartgard, as opposed to the HeartgardPlus, is PERFECT for our dog. Getting harder to find so I was delighted when EntirelyPets had it IN STOCK and not on backorder. The Plus (while probably an improved version) was not agreeable to our mixed poddle/australan sheepdog's stomach….he tends to have a sensitive stomach to begin with…. My dog has food allergies and I've found it best to administer a monthly heartworm preventative that has ONLY ONE INGREDIENT. Less chances of a reaction, and less chances of side effects (from medication) if the preventative does not include other drugs that treat things I'm not as concerned about as Heartworm. I have had this since January of 2018, best purchase IMO, is it perfect? No, does it work really really well? Yes it does. Is it sometimes slow to lock onto your phone? Yes, easy fix as I turn the collar and receiver on prior to getting ready or when we get into the car, that way everything is good to go when its time to go. The longest it has taken to acquire and lock on to my phone had been around 5 minutes. I use this several (3-4) times and week and haven't had any issues with the collar prongs bothering my dogs neck or causing issues. So far everything has been straight forward & easy to set up. The website for the product contains a lot of information on how to use this product for training & for Trouble Shooting if needed. This collar has tracked my husky as she ran off leash while out on hikes. It shows on our phones where she is, when she stops running, when she barks and what path she takes. It is neat to be able to watch the paths she takes when chasing the deer in the woods. It has tracked her over half a mile away. My only comment – which has more to do with my dog than the collar – is that the shocks don’t seem to phase her. I think her fur may be too thick.Dallas

I've used this product for a few years now and hope they never stop making it. It is very effective. My dogs are indoor pets, but we live out of town, and to their owner's dismay, they love getting in the wild bush, grasses, and stagnant water. Last summer we had a large population of mosquitos, and while on Heartgard Plus Chewables, my dogs have never gotten heartworms. I never have any worries. And, giving it to them is soooo easy. I have used Heartgard Plus on all my dogs since 2015 with no issues. I give it on the 20th of every month. I have never missed a dose nor have I been late. My dogs are inside dogs and only go out to run and use the bathroom. Last Saturday, my Weimaraner tested low antigen positive for heartworms. I was shocked so we took her for a second opinion. She tested low antigen positive at the second vet too. I am being told a number of dogs in our area have tested positive on Heartgard Plus. I am just sick.deborah.a

I live in NH which is hilly and use to run a Astro 430. I would consistently get 1-3 miles. I recently bought the Alpha 200i and a tt15 mini and have been unable to get beyond 600 yards without a lost communication signal (?).ElmerFudd

Yay after weeks of calling asking for ability to review …. Where do I start … well I went 4 for 4. Most upsetting is I called before I ordered the test asking if I was 99% certain that one of my dogs is purebred if I was better off getting the Purebreed test or the normal test. I was assured that the pure breed test was the better choice due to some of the breed specific health testing included in it. Well she wasn’t a pure breed and all I got back was the fact that she wasn’t a pure breed and then I should buy the other test, “You can just pay the 149 and will release the other information to you“. One of my other boys has been verified as an LAD carrier multiple times yet it didn’t turn up. The other one showed up as a carrier for another breed specific issue that since has been retested twice independently and has been shown to be incorrect. I submitted this data to embark and all I was told was, this is a novelty service and isn’t guaranteed accurate. Wish there was an app. The website is okay but it’s not the most straightforward to navigate. The pure breed information also felt a bit less impressive than the normal kits data output. A major complaint however is once embark has your email you get non-stop solicitations. I’ve already bought your product. I don’t need an email about buying it again everyday or a second email asking me to recommend it to my friends. It feels as though I get at least two emails a day from embark.Brian M.
