This Voyager dog harness is great for my pup! I am training him to walk on a leash and this is so helpful so that I don’t pull on his neck. I got the size XXS for him as he was 4 lbs. I abdolutely feel in love with this harness (by far the easiest to get onto my puppy). I love is so much that I jought 6 of them in the past 4 months. Why did I need to buy so many one may ask…becauae that is how many the puppy chewed through in that period of time. I ended up switching brands after the 6th one. I bought this in a medium a week ago and I've used it around 2-3 times already. I have a maltipoo and she has a tendency to pull and try to go faster/farther and it would cause her to choke in her previous harness. However, not a single time since I've started using this has she choked/gagged. The sizing is a bit off for her though, since a small is too tight but a medium is too loose (but the medium isn't loose enough for it to be unsafe/falling). This harness is true to its name and is so helpful for dogs that try pulling and end up choking. It's also super softer than her old one. I also bought a small for my yorkie and I think she loves it! Normally she hates harnesses but this one she doesn't seem to mind! I feel like it makes her more comfortable when she's walking as her previous ones weren't the most softest like this. This is my third Gooby harness. Small size worked well when she was a puppy. She outgrew the Small we got her a medium and there was a small sign of tearing on this harness when we upgraded her to large. We got her the large pink and the fabric tore in half. The black fabric on the edge was the only thing keeping it together. Our dog weighs 18lbs but she’s built like a tank. If you have a dog that pulls I wouldn’t recommend this harness. This is a good product. It is a really long harness so it bunches up in the middle when my dogs sit and when we are walking sometimes. The quality of the material is good and I do not feel like they are going to pull out of the harness. I do have an issue with the sizing chart. What a fantastic harness! My 90 pound dood is a consummate outdoorspoodle and now he can pack his own water, snacks, and frisbee thanks to the bungee cord feature. The harness is wonderfully customizable. I have a Huge, deep chested giant pal who is wearing the 2-3X size. The straps are incredibly adjustable at the shoulder, neck, and across the girth to fit a wide variety of pup shapes. The material is extremely durable, seems to resist staining (I give it a quick rinse when my mudpuppy has really had fun), and most important, the harness is lightly padded for comfort. This harness is made for a very specific kind of dog, if you do not have that dog then it probably is not for you. I have a 7 year old rescue who is very traumatized and touch sensitive. We are still working on touch and I have absolutely no desire to push her past her limits, but I live in an apartment complex so she needs to be harnessed to go potty. This is the FIFTH harness that I have purchased for her and by far the best one yet. It is as easy (and touch free) to put on as a slip lead! To me, this is a miracle. I can take her outside without compromising her neck in a slip lead and without worrying she will wiggle free. I am going to do my best to explain how we put it on. First, I slide the tightening strap to it's loosest (all the way up). Then I pull the middle of that strap all the way back so the part that is usually in contact with the metal rings is touching the leather strap (where the leash attaches). This is key, because it keeps the loop as wide as possible for getting the dog's head through. Then you just slip it over the dog's head (head goes in between the felt part and the opening that you just made). The ENTIRE felt circle should be on your dog's chest. Then if you ask your dog to take a couple of steps forward, they should just put their arms right into the hole! Once their arms are through the felt hole, you can tighten. I would just go as far as you feel comfortable (if your dog is snappy). This harness functions like a slip lead so you can use tension to make up for it being slightly loose and they shouldn't be able to slip out. When you are slipping it over the dog's head, you have about a foot between the dog and your hand (if biting is a concern for you). My dog is wearing a size small.scoutgalash

The harness itself has an extended leash attached with an adjustment piece. So you can make the harness a bit bigger to put on an tighten to fit your pet. I bought this for my senior dog who is a 7lb Chihuahua, she’s about 12yrs old and I put it on her without it being difficult, I like how you don’t have to snap it like a regular harness, because she gets scared of the snapping noises. The only thing that wasn’t convenient was the large metal piece that you can use to hook and unhook the leash. I put it on her for a walk and I picked the leash up and the metal hit her little head and she got scared. I felt so bad that happened, I love the harness and I’m going to keep it. We dropped by JUST to buy a name tag for our puppy. The tag printer was at the entrance and it was out 1st time buying. I guess you have to purchase a tag disk separately but the tags were no where in site, I had my 3 kids rome the store til we found the tag disks. We then took it back to the machine where it told us to purchase it first because we needed a code…so we did. We head back to the tag machine and the purchase code didn't work. Mind you, I had an Ortho appt for my son in 30 mins and we had already spent 20 mins looking for tags & trying to make it work. I grab an employee, he said that it had issues with someone else where the code printed was incorrect and it wanted a different number. He tried and even changed the code at least 15 times, nothing. I suggested we "return & buy again" to get new code. We did that and the code worked but I was late to my appt. I've tried numerous harnesses and never loved any until this one. I have a miniature rat terrier who is 13.5 lbs. He tends to be too big for mediums and way too small for large sizes. Finally, this harness fits perfectly in Medium! There's even a little room to spare in case he gets larger. We wanted to take off pressure from his neck and the v neck design and light weight, soft mesh is great! It's by far the softest one I've ever felt, and I've tried every one at multiple stores. It's so comfortable that it could be left on all the time even in summer since it's so breathable. My dog lives it too! He seems to feel safe and calmer in it like a thunder shirt makes him feel. The first time I took him on a walk he seemed to feel "free". He was so happy to pounce around without worrying about a jerk in his neck. We give this one 5 stars!!!! I got this in black, size medium from Amazon. She has a 12" neck and a 19" chest. This harness is adjustable around both neck and chest. My pup has a high chase drive and will sometimes pull suddenly. I like that the x-shape doesn't put as much pressure on her throat when she pulls, and the double d-rings and buckle closure feel very secure for her leash. My dog learned to step into the harness on her own if we hold it up for her, too. Very good quality materials that will last a long time.lianna.b
at the suggestion of my neighbor I bought this harness.Online store availability says it was available at the store. Went to this store they did not have the medium size (strike 1). I got small because the last harness I got at Petco last week in a medium was WAY TOOOO big. (which I am unable to return $35 gone). (strike 2 ) Even tho this one is advertised online for $14.99 at the store it was $21.99 and the team member did not know anything about it being lower online. (strike 3) same SKU number on receipt as listed in the online description. I bought this in a medium a week ago and I've used it around 2-3 times already. I have a maltipoo and she has a tendency to pull and try to go faster/farther and it would cause her to choke in her previous harness. However, not a single time since I've started using this has she choked/gagged. The sizing is a bit off for her though, since a small is too tight but a medium is too loose (but the medium isn't loose enough for it to be unsafe/falling). This harness is true to its name and is so helpful for dogs that try pulling and end up choking. It's also super softer than her old one. I also bought a small for my yorkie and I think she loves it! Normally she hates harnesses but this one she doesn't seem to mind! I feel like it makes her more comfortable when she's walking as her previous ones weren't the most softest like this. It is a bit pricey for me, but I was able to get it on sale! Choke-free, soft and comfortable!mjp21
I just purchased this harness yesterday in a size Medium for my 16 lbs Beagle mix. It ripped completely in half after only having her wear it for 2 hours. It fit perfectly which is why I gave it 2 stars, but it should have lasted for more than 2 hours. Definitely not worth my money.Zoie Mom
This is my third Gooby harness. Small size worked well when she was a puppy. She outgrew the Small we got her a medium and there was a small sign of tearing on this harness when we upgraded her to large. We got her the large pink and the fabric tore in half. The black fabric on the edge was the only thing keeping it together. Our dog weighs 18lbs but she’s built like a tank. If you have a dog that pulls I wouldn’t recommend this harness. If your dog is well behaved and doesn’t pull you should be good to go.Goobys with tears

Seems like good construction. I liked the pads on top to prevent pinching, but overall, it is still the same standard harness you can get everywhere. Unfortunately, I am still on the hunt for a good harness to use for running with my dog. The harness rubbed under his armpits and rubbed them raw. The look of the harness is great however the material cannot stand up to chewing which is not covered under warranty. I bought one yesterday and this morning I left to get breakfast and when I got back 20 minutes later he had chewed through one of the straps and had taken a chuck out of the nylon canvas chest piece. Rugged ,tough , durable harness . Works like it should . It takes a little time to get a proper adjustment , unless your dog is growing it's a one time thing . We like it better than other harnesses we have . I find it laughable that people would give a poor review because their dog chewed on it . That's on the owner and their poor dog . I am toying with the idea of returning, but giving it a chance. My Westie is only 13.5 lbs, small for a Westie. The harness size I ordered is medium. I think it would fit better if the actual strap had some room to play with, it does not. If I get a large, it will be too big. The strap just fits, not sure if it might be too tight. Why not give more room in the strap ribbon?? The harness is pretty, like the fabric. Leash is nice, not sure if its all worth the price and the fact that you can't return some if they do not fit.

I'm giving this harness only three stars because I watched my cat lay on his side yesterday and pull one leg out of its hole. I'm certain that he'd have gotten the other leg out in short order if I hadn't caught him in the act (the harness fits him pretty snugly). Before I saw that – because it looks like a good design – I was convinced that he would NOT be able to wiggle out of it, but I was wrong. Now, I'm not sure if there is such a thing as an escape-proof harness for cats. Having said all that, it is well made and of good quality.squat48

I bought this for one of Col. Potter Cairn Rescue's little cairn girls to help her feel pretty while she is waiting for her "forever home" to find her. This is one of the cutest harnesses Puppia makes. It is girlie without being over the top, and is comfy and soft for the dog, comes in many colors and washes like a dream.
