We started our two month old female standard poodle on Eukanuba chicken puppy and had mixed success. The dog food she was on at the breeder seemed quite successful but the vet recommended Eukanuba. Dog has never relished the food but will eat it mixed with a few tablespoons of canned food. Any other treats added to diet will cause diarrhea. On the plus side, she has grown appropriately and is not over or under weight. I have had trouble buying new bags. Lack of supply from Eukanuba says food store. My 4 month old King Charles Spaniel doesn't touch this dry food without Royal Canin wet puppy food mixed in it. She used to run to the bowl and finish the food in seconds, after I switched the dry food to this one, she smells it and then walks away. When she does eat it with the wet food I've noticed she's starting scratching and itching like she has fleas or a skin condition although she has been given Bravecto and the vet said her skin is fine so it must be the food. Kibble was all over the inside of the box. Looks like the seams of the bag are held together by really weak glue and not tightly sealed. I won’t feed my dog compromised kibble. I ordered 3 – 15 lb bags of kibble the same day and just got to opening this shipment. Wanted to try out this brand. Anecdotal feedback but it gave my two 6 lbs puppies really really soft poop immediately. On occasion is was diarrhea. Gave it about 8 days for them to get used to it – same for the entire period. Once I changed the food to something else their poop went to solid right after the next feeding.With that said they seemed to like the taste of it so if your pup has constipation this is not too bad I guess. I hate throwing away the food so I'm currently mixing this one with the food that works for them at a ratio of 1-to-6. But it's too expensive to have to play games with it. Too bad.The T.

We have a Yorkie that loves this stuff! We started with the rolls and he was really eating it up but after a while it took us having to coax him into eating. We came across these and from the first time we gave it to him, he licks the bowl clean each and every time. It is now the only food that I will feed him. After my 7 month old puppy was healing from a spaying surgery (just got back from) her appetite was gone, but the only thing she would eat was Freshpet chicken treats. We tried giving her normal kibble and some beef wet food but she wouldn't touch it, she's never had beef before though so that might've played a part. My mom decided to try FreshPet and my dog went crazy for it, ate the whole thing in one sitting and even picked up the paper plate and flung it around. She's never ever done that in the 4+ months we've had her, we've tried multiple kibble/wet food brands as well. We've switched to the Vital line rolls and she still likes them, we mix with her normal kibble and she eats around the kibble (she usually comes back to finish it after). This food is definitely worth the price although the feeding guidelines seem a little too much. The kibble we fed promises shiny coats (which it did provide) but with freshpet her coat is even more shiny and she's so much more happier to eat. I have two rescues, who when they arrived on my doorstep, steeling the cat food, would eat anything. I've had them for four months, and they are no longer starving. The foods they ate before, they no longer will. If they can get the little paws on trash or people food, they go crazy. But I've tried three kinds of dry food, and two kinds of wet food, and they would rather go hungry. I even started feeding them cooked chicken, but I think it was too rich for them, as they stopped eating that, too. I stood in the aisle for a long time reading labels. They are really tiny dogs and very old, so I wet the kibble with water, let it get soft, and then they will eat it. I am crossing my fingers that they continue to do so.

The first day we introduced this food to him, he took a couple of moments to sniff around, he knew it was different food, he started to eat the food and finished the whole bowl, which is unusual for him because he always leaves some behind. My dogs have been eating this their whole life, nothing else. My Boston Terrier would probably eat anything, so it's no problem. My terrier mix dog won't eat any other dog food. Sometimes it does give her an upset stomach, but she refuses any other type of food. The little pieces that look like teensy steaks are her favorite. My eight year old female chihuahua is a picky eater. Won't eat the healthy dry foods out there but she loves kibbles n' Bits for small breeds. I didn't believe the reports of hair being in the kibbles n' Bits till I opened the bag my self and there was hair all inside the kibbles n bits as if it's being used as an ingredient but it's all she's willing to eat. Then again I got to consider the domesticated dog is a descended of the wolf family not humans and when a hunts and eats its pretty it fur and animal hide is probably gonna be apart of his dinner. She has been attacked by two larger dogs back in 2018 and had to have surgery to save her life! It's hard on her to find the right type of dog food to be able to enjoy due to the attack. Even though Cocoo took a little while to dig in, we were in shock at how she went to town eating the food. She was excited and kept wagging her tail. Cocoo eats differently, due to surgery it takes her awhile to chew her food, she usually grabs some and moves away from the bowl to enjoy. But with kibbles 'n bits she was able to eat more at a time and it was better on her to eat and enjoy because of the mini bits. Cocoo ate more of kibbles 'n bits than she does with her original dog food. We were happy that she was able to eat more and not get choke on her food! We believe that the mini bits helped her to enjoy the food and it was the perfect size for her! She got her belly full and had to go lay down to rest. This toy seemed like a fun Christmas gift for my daughter. The dog worked okay for a week and then a leg busted so the dog couldn't stay up. We returned the dog and got a replacement. The second dog kept randomly dying all the time every couple minutes and just would not work. When I bought the toy there were no reviews out since it was new but now that it has been out a few months I see several people have had the exact same issues I have experienced. My dogs have been eating this their whole life, nothing else. My Boston Terrier would probably eat anything, so it's no problem. My terrier mix dog won't eat any other dog food. Sometimes it does give her an upset stomach, but she refuses any other type of food. The little pieces that look like teensy steaks are her favorite. And when she's upset, she won't eat the tiny green square pieces. We have bought bags with cobwebs and bug in it before, but we always take it right back to the store to get another one. I'm in Dallas, TX, and the two closest big blue popular box stores always have it in stock.Elle

My eight year old female chihuahua is a picky eater. Won't eat the healthy dry foods out there but she loves kibbles n' Bits for small breeds. I didn't believe the reports of hair being in the kibbles n' Bits till I opened the bag my self and there was hair all inside the kibbles n bits as if it's being used as an ingredient but it's all she's willing to eat. Then again I got to consider the domesticated dog is a descended of the wolf family not humans and when a hunts and eats its pretty it fur and animal hide is probably gonna be apart of his dinner. Wolves and dogs don't share the same taboos of hair being in their food, only humans have phobias of hair being in their diet. So if kibbles n Bits is the only dog food she's willing to eat then Kibbles n Bits is doing something Right. Kibbles 'n Bits Savory Bacon & Steak Flavor mini bits for small breeds (but also for dogs of all sizes!) Our little fur baby has been through alot in her life. She has been attacked by two larger dogs back in 2018 and had to have surgery to save her life! It's hard on her to find the right type of dog food to be able to enjoy due to the attack. Cocoo was born February 21st 2007 and is a mix breed of apple head chihuahua with jack russell. (She doesnt look like neither at all and she loves to eat.) When we got to try Kibbles 'n Bits Mini Bits Bacon & Steak Flavor we were a little iffy that Cocoo wouldn't like it or enjoy it, because she is a picky eater believe it or not. When we put the food in her bowl she looked at us then went to her bowl and took her a little bit to dig in. She knew it wasn't her original dog food. Even though Cocoo took a little while to dig in, we were in shock at how she went to town eating the food. She was excited and kept wagging her tail. Cocoo eats differently, due to surgery it takes her awhile to chew her food, she usually grabs some and moves away from the bowl to enjoy. But with kibbles 'n bits she was able to eat more at a time and it was better on her to eat and enjoy because of the mini bits. Cocoo ate more of kibbles 'n bits than she does with her original dog food. We were happy that she was able to eat more and not get choke on her food! We believe that the mini bits helped her to enjoy the food and it was the perfect size for her! She got her belly full and had to go lay down to rest. Cocoo has made the choice that she loved Kibbles 'n Bits mini bits and we are excited to be able to buy her more! Highly recommend along with Cocoo approved!Whitt88
