I agree that my dog, a lab hates the flavor and was seeking out the pill and spitting it out until I tried baby food turkey and chicken in the little jars. I use a baby spoon and bury the pill in the meat. She gobbles it up and does even notice even the pill. We do it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. That too has resolved which makes me believe his liver is on the mend.Yvonne

I have been purchasing Beneful for at least 4 years, if memory serves. After receiving some coupons in our newspaper, I decided to purchase Beneful to see if one of my older dogs would have less digestion problems. Logan loves every flavor that Beneful makes! He especially loves his veggies, barley, and rice. These items are very imprtant to Logan's health because they keep him regular. Like older adults, older dogs need dietary items that are good and good for them. Logan likes the Beneful dry also, but he does better on Beneful Wet foods. Our Vet says that even though Logan has been mistreated to the point that he has his digestion problems, Beneful is the best food for him and his 14 yr old system. He still likes his fresh salmon, wild rice, carrots and brussel sprouts he gets every other Sunday, but he's just as happy with his Beneful Chopped Beef and Chopped Salmon to name a couple. 🐕🐩🐶🍖🐾 I have a little pomeranian that is very picky! He's a much older dog who has cataracts and isn't very active. He was a rescue dog when I got him he already had all his ailments. I really like that this food is mostly soft even though it is considered dry dog food. I also like that you could see the vegetables in the food as well! Gus really seem to enjoy this food which was surprising given how picky he actually is! At a good price point and it it looks good! My little Elmo a Apple Head Chihuahua has been on this food for 11 years both small dog and soft because he loves it that way. His weight has stayed at 7 pounds for his life. I feed him small breed in the morning, soft Pedigree chopped at dinner and a tiny amount of small breed at 9pm. I will never change his food ever. he is full of life and plays everyday. My Yorkiepoo has a bit of a problem with constipation. At least twice over the years it's had him backed up enough that he required a trip to the vet and some meds to get his system moving. Since switching to this food (and keeping strict limits on table scraps and treats) his digestion's been great. Long enough, I want to say 2 ~ 3 years now, that if he does have any transient issues I'm confident his dry food is not to blame. And he's been in good health so I feel like he's getting the nutrition he needs. And the little bugger eats it. Not the foods fault but I will say I'm annoyed by the branding change from Focus. Not that I care about the name or picture on the bag, but when you find something good and don't want to change from it, such changes in packaging cause unneeded nuisance and stress. I actually use the lamb and rice so other than the protein everything else is the same I actually switched to it after the price of my dogs normal food got way to high. I definitely notice that her itchy skin is better her coat is shinier usually she will not eat plain dry dog food but because this has the boys dehydrated pieces of Liam edit she will eat it by itself which makes things a lot easier there are times that she does not want to eat it plain so I will moisten it with a little bit of water put it in the microwave for 12 seconds and she devours it. The thing I like about the small breed is the size of the kibble is perfect for her mouth size the price is quite good for what you get I definitely would recommend this my vet recommends this to all their clients my mother uses it for her schnauzer and we have not had any negative experiences I’ve been using this for a few years the only problem I have Kayla cross is that my local pet stores even though they are a big chain store have trouble keeping it in I don’t know if that’s due to popularity or because of shipping problems due to the pandemic we just went throughlaura.k

We are very active in the ring and eventing almost constantly at times going from one event to the next. Our fuzzy babies are beyond spoiled and are unfortunately very selective when it comes to kibble size. We have tried every size of kibble multiple times because the other isn't available and they will only eat the toy size. We have tried everything from breaking the larger kibble up to wetting it stirring it up to small pieces and drying it out, they will not eat it. We tried explaining to them that there is a pic of a Cavalier on the next size up but they don't care, Cavaliers are a toy breed and should have toy size kibble. They will dive into the toy size kibble and make it disappear as we pour it into their dishes. They truly love ProPlan Toy breed kibble. The reason they only got 4 stars is A BIG PROBLEM – availability. For some dumb reason the Toy size kibble isn't available in any pet store we have visited in MI, GA, FL, etc. (on the AKC circuit) What am I suppose to do when the only kibble our Cavalier pack will eat isn't carried in any stores. They only carry the next size up, which they won't eat. The second BIG PROBLEM is it only comes in a tiny bag! We have asked and asked to NO AVAIL (reps, stores,specialty stores, online stores). Appearantly toy size dogs aren't suppose to eat much kibble! The only other dogfood our dogs will eat is homemade fresh, that's it. Doesn't matter if it's in a pouch, can, tube. They will eat Toy ProPlan kibble. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make the Toy (Cavalier true size) ProPlan kibble available in a 20 or 25 lb bag for those of us who have larger toy breed dogs and may have more than one. Every 4 days we have to get another bag tiny bag of Toy Kibble. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE, bad marketing, and bad customer service. We are constantly looking for another brand of kibble that will work because it's expensive buying so many bags of food and impossible to find because suppliers look at the pics on your bags and think "let's get the one with the Cavalier on it", EXCEPT A CAVALIER IS A TOY BREED NOT A SMALL BREED.CKCS Toy Breed

I received a little bag of this and normally feed my dog high quality expensive food but thought I would give them a little. They love it more than any other food they've had before (Purina pro plan, Costco, tractor supply, zignature). When I grab the little bag, both dogs run to the kitchen to eat and my Dane shoves his head in the bag to eat it. Neither dog is overly food motivated and will leave their food all day every day. I bought Pedigree Small Breed a week ago and my Maltese / Shih Tzu mix loves it! It's very easy for her to chew, the size of the pieces are perfect for her. There are so many brands she hasnt exactly been a fan of at all. Nearly as if she would have to really starve herself to build the courage to eat but not Pedigree foods! With Pedigree, her poop is also showing healthy signs in color, size and texture. So I got her a Buster collar but being long nosed Sighthound and with a flexable neck she could reach her stitches. The "Suitical" vest I got her from D forDog was absoulutley amazing. Comfy, stretchy and easy to wash and dry. It covered the area allowing healing . For toileting I just un-did the press studs and took her back legs out of the garment and rolled the Suitical back to her shoulders. Then when she had been to the toileting area I simply rolled it back and put her back legs through and did the garment up. It was similiar to a childs body suit. I can't praise this garment enough. Overnight was no problem as she slept in it as so comfy.Sue

I took my aging terrier off prescription bladder control and switched to this product a little over a week ago. I did not do this gradually. So far, so good. My dog has not had any accidents in the house and seems to have as strong a bladder as with the prescription med. He does seems to be emptying better, longer duration, which helps increase the time between trips outside. I believe it's worth a try.dhopp45

Label said good quality and taste they might be but to tell the truth, I will probably never know cause my dogs spit them out. I've tried to sneak pills in hot dogs, works sometimes most times if they find them dogs turn their noses up and walk away. Hate to give a poor review but why didnt they just put a little bit of flavor in these? I mean it says there chewables, That to me says Dogs will chew the things and like to take their medicine. These pills are white with no flavor at all no smell either, Dogs smell before they eat and if there is no smell they wont eat em. I read where someone said it did not work, i'm here to tell you that it worked for my Pyredoodle. You have to follow the instructions. I gave her 2 a day for 2 weeks and she quit having accidents. It’s a good diaper with plenty of absorption. Tends to slide off my dog but I do not consider that a flaw in the product. Well maybe the tail hole could have been set back an inch or so, so the the diaper rode higher up on her back. What I did was just made the opening a bit larger. Otherwise it’s an excellent product and I am completely satisfied. Not sure if all there pics came through but I cut the tail hole a bit bigger which helps the diaper ride higher up on her back.Mary P.

The tape fasteners have been changed and no longer keep the diaper on my dog. When she lays down, the tape unfastens and the diaper is off of her. Why why why would they go cheap on the tape fasteners??? They used to stay fastened for a long time even after taking them on and off. Will not order again.cathy6oo4

I have tried a slew of diet foods for my boys, that have zero medical issues, to try and have them lose a few pounds and be their perfect healthy weight again. After a good handful of prescription and non prescription foods that just didn’t work for them, I went out on a limb and tried this food after a friend mentioned it. My boys have been on it one month and my hound lost the weight he hasn’t been able to shake in the last year, and my husky is almost at his ideal weight now also. They love this food and come running for it, which they have never done with any other food (diet or not). Their coats have remained shiny, they have had great energy. I bought this For Body dog food in 5 lb bags for a couple of years and it's wonderful. My dog loves it and it doesn't make her poop 8 times a day like other reduced calorie food. We have a Yorkie that loves this stuff! We started with the rolls and he was really eating it up but after a while it took us having to coax him into eating. We came across these and from the first time we gave it to him, he licks the bowl clean each and every time. It is now the only food that I will feed him. I know that all the ingredients are fresh and good for him. He has more energy (if that's possible) and his coat is shinier than it has ever been. After my 7 month old puppy was healing from a spaying surgery (just got back from) her appetite was gone, but the only thing she would eat was Freshpet chicken treats. We tried giving her normal kibble and some beef wet food but she wouldn't touch it, she's never had beef before though so that might've played a part. My mom decided to try FreshPet and my dog went crazy for it, ate the whole thing in one sitting and even picked up the paper plate and flung it around. She's never ever done that in the 4+ months we've had her, we've tried multiple kibble/wet food brands as well. We've switched to the Vital line rolls and she still likes them, we mix with her normal kibble and she eats around the kibble (she usually comes back to finish it after). This food is definitely worth the price although the feeding guidelines seem a little too much. The kibble we fed promises shiny coats (which it did provide) but with freshpet her coat is even more shiny and she's so much more happier to eat. My little chihuahua, Judah, is six years old. Like a lot of older chihuahuas, she’s lost most of her teeth, so she can’t eat regular hard kibble. I initially had her try some Blue Buffalo individual wet food, but she always seemed tired and run down. After 3 years of horrible itching solved only by Apoquel meds, I am extremely happy to say that my dog is off the Apoquel as well as all other required supplements and ailments just to prevent itching so much (coconut oil, probiotics, etc). He just gets Zignature Duck dog food twice a day and he itches MAYBE 2 minutes in a 12 hour period. That's beyond incredible. Worth every cent.
