These chews work great! Not only that, but my dogs love them. Although it’ll never be as good as just brushing their teeth, it is a whole lot easier and it’s better than doing nothing! My dog really liked these. He chewed a few bites off and then carried the last piece around with him for a few days, saving it for a rainy day. This will be a very honest review. Every since my dog was spade, he stopped licking his privates and now literally licks everything else lol. He licks on his front paws when he is relaxing, if anyone is holding him he will "lick your arm or hand off"(sarcasm 😄), or he will also lay and lick on the carpet smh lol. (I guess it's a comfort thing.) Well it was a small period of time when it was a lapse in oral chews because they became too pricey. BIG MISTAKE!! His breath became bad. I immediately had to find a more reasonably cost worthy product so I found these. I used them for a period of time so I can get a good review. I can tell a difference in his breath!! These are great 😃 to have your pet 🐶 because they truly help freshen your dog's breath in a semi natural way. My dog truly enjoys the flavor and texture when I toss one out as a treat after his kibble dinner. I cannot get his teeth cleaned at the vet due to the fact that he unfortunately suffers from seizures. So, his oral health is of paramount importance. I also like giving him baby carrots as well. I have an 8 pound 9 year old long hair Chihuahua mix she is highly allergic to… well it feels like everything! But in reality she suffers from a lot of allergies we think she may even be allergic to freshly cut grass she has allergies to chicken and beef which gives her ear infections. Also flea and tick control medicine that she takes orally causes her skin to break out with big scabs and she pulls her hair out for the full 30 days with big hot spots,, then when it is dissolves out of her system she's back to being her normal relaxed self. needless to say after a lot of agonizing experiences and a ton of money I hope this review will help someone out there experiencing these frustrations and heartaches. since she was five years old we have tried to stay on a certain food that is made in Canada that we order online called Performatrin Ultra of course minus all chicken and beef. And we only use VetIQ maximum strength hip and Joint chews, because she is a small dog we kept her a half one every other day so a 90 count last us for half a year if not longer if she's really having trouble with Movement we will give her a whole one every other day. We order Ours from Amazon and they've always come fresh and she tolerates it well she loves the flavor looks forward to her treats. And we only give her Frontline Flea and Tick drops which she tolerates very well. She takes this maximum strength hip and joint treat for movement. Since giving her this she's like a puppy again she may need help getting up on the couch sometimes but for the most part she can get up the stairs like a puppy and the heartworm medicine she does well with is called Inceptor you can get from a vet. And the ONLY TREATS SHE LIKES PERIOD IS DENTALLIFE BY PURINA THE SPONGY ONES.. If your on the fence, I would recommend trying these treats for a finicky eater and I order them from Amazon I get small/medium for a great price and they ship them on auto-ship, Especially if your dog has allergies and or skin issues like my dog has! I wouldn't recommend any other dog treats because I've tried them and there's a lot of them out there! I don’t get why people hype these chews. I used to give my Pomeranian these, and it gave her a slab fracture on both sides. These do not follow the knee cap rule. These are way too hard for your dog. DANGEROUS! Don’t buy this for your pets!!! My dog is a small terrier and he had a terrible reaction. He was vomiting and had a diarrhea after eating this stuff. I was really scared about his health… He is absolutely healthy, I visited Veterinaire for the check up a month ago. Also read the packaging info: it could be harmful or FATAL. Is it worth the risk??? It should be a treat, not a poison. I chose the right size and was looking after my dog while he was eating the treat but he wasn’t ok after. Also it looks and feels like plastic, it is also hard and I think it could scratch stomach or something else. I bought Whimzees for my own money so I am sharing my honest opinion. Our 125lbs large breed dog was throwing up rubbery-looking chunks several times within a couple weeks, which cost us $900 at the vet. It turned out that he was throwing up Brushzee chunks. I have two large dogs, one is a 100lb Golden Retriever who is 12 years old and the other is a 60lb Basset Hound who is 9. Both eat these treats up at different rates, my Basset takes 3 times longer to finish and he is always first to finish eating anything! I have been giving them one each for a few weeks now and can say I am starting to notice whiter teeth on both, although my bassets teeth look slightly better. Flo Jo weighs 60 pounds and is a very picky eater. We have tried many food toppers hoping they would encourage her to eat. Nothing worked until we purchased extra-small Yummy Combs. I got these dental chews on an offer as I had a discount for them as my puppy had just turned 3 months at the time so was the right age. I got the pack for smaller dogs as he was under 9kg at the time, and he loved these chews! It kept him occupied for a while and had no issues, however the first two days of using them, he did end up vomiting early hours the next morning, bringing just the chew back up. This could be unrelated and could’ve happened anyway, but I had stopped using them immediately. I started using them earlier in the day and had no issues with vomiting, so I believe it could’ve been my mistake giving them later on the evening (around 7:30pm) I’ve been using them since and have had no issues at all.beth.r

I bought these for my puppy who just turned three months this week. I’ve had him about two weeks and I have had a difficult time finding treats he enjoys. On his 3 month birthday I tried giving him the whimzee dental chew and he grabbed it and took off. Every morning I give him one he has to run around with it because he’s so excited and then finds a nice little hole to hide in and chew it. I have not seen him react like this to some of the treats he semi likes. I’d love to send a picture but he won’t sit still long enough because he enjoys them so much. I can't believe these things actually literally get everything off of my dogs teeth. They won't let me brush their teeth and it becomes a huge ordeal and I can't do it thoroughly and so I tried these for a couple months and it literally got everything off of my dogs teeth who were looking in pretty bad shape. I give them each one per week, the large size because they are both 100 pounds each. I love these and i love that they're vegetarian because i prefer buying my dogs treats free of animal products. I ordered this online from Walmart for a few bucks. It has a slight bacon scent and my puppy does chew on it from time to time. It's pretty durable and is made out of polyurethane and nylon. The small size is for dogs 10 to 20 pounds. This thing will probably last a long time.michelle .t

My beagle was chewing on this bone for less than an hour. I thought it was durable enough to withstand her chewing. I was wrong. She ate a good portion of the pink center and some of the outer portion of the bone in that time. I doubt it’s safe for dogs to eat nylon, but I can’t find any information anywhere. I initially opted out of these because our dogs have sensitive stomachs and are on special diets. I talked it over with my partner and we decided to give them a try and review! Peter immediately started eating it, but can’t tell if he likes it or not because honestly he’s a garbage can with food. Tidus took more time to get used to it and still seemed reluctant to eat it so I let him decide on his own and he ended up finishing it, but not happily 😅 Safe to say, it’s kind of a hit. Can't comment on effectiveness as have not had enough time, however, I have no difficulty getting the dogs to consume these. They jump up and down when I'm getting the product out of the packet in the next room. After a couple of months, they still are just as excited. With two large dogs it's a little expensive to give them out every day but if it helps to keep their teeth clean then that will make it worth it.94Viper

I have been buying Ark Naturals Brushless Toothpaste for my chocolate lab for a few months now. I am very happy with this product! My dog loves the taste and waits for it excitedly every morning! 5 stars for performance and convenience. I have used 2 other Kenmore Canisters over past 5 decades. Pretty good static. Yes there are more plastic parts and Yes they will break more easily than the older models (reason for 4 instead of 5 stars). What products haven't changed over to plastics in the last 50 yrs? Granted I have to be more careful handling the newer replacement items BUT they still clean better than the so called latest, greatest and better designed ones. I know dental care is important for my dogs (two bad Corgis). Once they grew in all their adult teeth I went on a quest to find the perfect dental chew to supplement the occasional brushing. I started where most of us would start – the cheapest chews I could find. Over the next year I tried them all. Some my dogs liked, but I would notice their teeth weren't being cleaned or their breath stunk more than normal. Others they wouldn't touch. Finally, after working my way up the ladder of dog dental chews I got to Greeneis and have not gone back since. They have been using Greenies now for close to two years (Dogs are now 3 and 4). Sure, they still have dog breath but it's not foul like it was with those other dental chews. I also notice very minimal plaque on their teeth, which I keep tabs on regularly. What sealed the deal was when I took them to the vet for a check up the first year they had been getting their Greenies and the vet remarked how excellent their teeth looked. I told her I seldom brushed their teeth anymore but gave them a Greenie each morning, which she nodded in approval. The cons? It's expensive compared to other dental chews, but I can't put a price on my dogs. These are the only ones that seemed to work that they like. I've also noticed some supply issues lately where it can be a pain to find them in the regular size. But most importantly, my dogs love their Greenies. Every morning after their go outside they know it's Greenie time. They walk over to the pantry and keep their eyes focused on it. I've had a variety of dogs throughout the years, and I've always fed them Greenies. They're simple to digest AS LONG AS THE DOG DOESN'T SWALLOW THEM WHOLE AND CHEWS THEM! These treats are designed to be eaten, and they can help a dog's teeth and oral health. They're completely natural and come in a variety of sizes, including little ones for my Chihuahua. I feed the large one to my pit bull/boxer mix. They are not suitable for dogs with dental problems such as poor teeth or gum diseases since the dog must be able to chew them apart and consume them. However, I strongly suggest them if your dog has healthy teeth and gums and does not want to swallow them whole.caitlyn.c

Honestly I was very leary about purchasing these. I have read about some brands in the past that were horrible for dogs but after reading the reviews I decided to purchase a small bag and try it out. Both my pointer pups like the dog treats. I don't give them the treats every day but instead about every three or four days. There is already a difference in the amount of plaque on their teeth. Vet recommended for plaque removal, and unlike some very thick and hard, dense chews, it is a more gentle dental chew that can be broken into two or three pieces. An older dog can enjoy these treats. I buy the xs size for my Shiba Inu.Shiba1

I agree with the other reviewer, who said they are too thick! I have to give away 1/2 the bag, because they’re too thick for my Havanese! The package says he needs a small, for his size, but he just can’t chew the big thick ones. I’ve resorted to buying the Petite, a time or two. Those are a completely different item. Sort of a compressed stick. However, those are gone in two chomps! I’m trying to find a different solution, all together, but I still want a chew type dental stick. Not greenies, type, though. My dogs loves these, and they keep their teeth very clean. I know people get nervous with rawhide, but the trade off is worth it. These chew chips are coated with enzymes that clean the dogs teeth extremely well – and apparently it makes my dogs obsessed with them too. Because they love the taste, they actually CHEW them and don't immediately swallow them (the normal issue with rawhide chews). I've recommended these to all my dog owner friends and haven't received a single bad review yet. The trick is they need one of these day. There are 30 in a bag. So about a bag a month (depending on how quickly they finish the chew, my greyhound does one of these in a day no problem). It comes out to be about $200 a year, which for me has proven to be worth it, especially with a greyhound as greyhounds have notoriously bad teeth. My beagle/mut loves them too. I was a little skeptical about these when the vet recommended them for my miniature schnauzers. They love them and they get so excited for these. It seems that the box that this auantity of Whimzees is packaged in allows the treats to dry out considerably. Out of the box they are brittle and don't last as long as the softer texture of the Whimzees that are packaged in an airtight container. That is why I only gave this item 2 stars. My dog hardly ever wants to chew on bones or dog chews and these were no exception. She side eyed it and then walked away. I do like the resealable bag though. We tried it with my in-laws dog but she’s smaller and it did cause a little upset stomach but I’m sure it’s because they’re meant for large dogs. However, I tried them with my friends dog as well and he loved them! They’re awesome because they helped keep his teeth nice and white. They last a long time and they didn’t cause any digestive upset or gas the next day like some treats do. He really enjoys them. We found these about a year ago and boy have they made a difference! Our dog is getting older and consequently, his breath is slowly getting worse and worse. My little dude isn’t the biggest fan of brushing chews- but he loves these! I have a 3 year old Chinese Crested (hairy hairless) and the hairless variety of this breed suffer from a gene that causes them to lose teeth or have improper dentition and dental issues. I noticed my boy starting to have some funky breath, so I decided to get him these chews while we wait for a vet appointment to clean his teeth and check them out, and as I already stated he’s normally not a fan. I tried to find the chew I gave him because usually he will leave it unfinished on my bed or on his rug and I wanted to see how far he got, and to my surprise he ate the whole thing! I noticed better breath on him the first day after that first chew. You’re supposed to give them one chew a day so this bag is a 9 day supply. OMG. I bought these, thinking they were the regular DentaLife chews I get, but these turned out to be twice the price! On close inspection of the bag, I see that these have "ActivFresh" in the title, and are twice the price of the regular DentaLife chews I buy.
