Do not buy. After giving these to my dog for a couple of days, he left a big pile of vomit in which I found a little white worm, still wriggling. I should have done more research on bully sticks; I read up on them more after this incident and learned they can be prone to carrying bacteria. Also noticed it’s interesting that if you click read more on most of the favorable reviews for these “treats”, they say “[this review was collected as part of a promotion]”. Easy way for a brand to disguise how bad their product truly is. There are 5 sticks in that bag that are 5-6 inches long for about $10 and each one will keep my chiweeni busy for an hour or so. I was going to be dogsitting and wanted a bigger bag so I got these instead. There were 6 sticks in this bag, each a weird shape so they didn't quite seem to be 5 inches long, but for $21. I have bought several brands of these and this is by far the best one that has pleased my dogs, lasted longer and are consistently the size the package states. They do stink but my experience has been that the smellier they are the more the dogs love it! It is a repulsive smell so I would advise against letting them on the furniture with it and wash your hands after touching them as your hands will smell. I tolerate this because at 5.00 per pop you want quality, a safe product for your pup and want them to last a bit. I have bought brands that our Toy Aussiedoodle demolished in less than a day but I get the large and she is an aggressive chewer so they last up to 2 days for each stick sometimes. We also have a chi that likes the large sticks and they last him quite awhile! Please always take any treat from your pet when it gets too small. These can easily choke them to death if they fit it in their mouth.Sarah

Do not buy. After giving these to my dog for a couple of days, he left a big pile of vomit in which I found a little white worm, still wriggling. I should have done more research on bully sticks; I read up on them more after this incident and learned they can be prone to carrying bacteria. Also noticed it’s interesting that if you click read more on most of the favorable reviews for these “treats”, they say “[this review was collected as part of a promotion]”. Easy way for a brand to disguise how bad their product truly is. Thay changed these sticks n not in a good way. They don't smell the same at all n they are greasy now, like pigs ears which my pups do not like n neither do I. My pups used to grab them out of my hand n start chewin away, until they were gone! Now they want nothing to do with them!! They liked the stinky bully smell the other ones had. There are 5 sticks in that bag that are 5-6 inches long for about $10 and each one will keep my chiweeni busy for an hour or so. I was going to be dogsitting and wanted a bigger bag so I got these instead. There were 6 sticks in this bag, each a weird shape so they didn't quite seem to be 5 inches long, but for $21. These were also not as dense so it took each dog about 15 minutes to work through it. Waste of money.Kelly

Our puppy, 20 pounds golden doodle LOVES these Bully sticks. I gave him one in his playpen and when I returned half an hour later the stick was 1/3 gone. My puppy which is teething loves these bully sticks. These bully stick has a wonderful aroma that she adore something like beef and pork mix. I did say wonderful aroma for her, right and not me. I gave these to my Maltese and Chihuahua. After about 5 hours my Chi threw up like a pocket off the Bully Stick. I saw him chewing it. Both dogs in the last hour have thrown up. Not sure what to think not sure I will allow them to chew this brand. They never go without bully sticks. Also even though the package says odorless these have a bad smell more then any other sticks I have purchased online. I think I will stick with what I have been giving them with zero issues. I am giving these a 5 star review for my first ordered batch and a 1 star for my second batch. The first batch I ordered were a pack of 10 "thick" and couldn't have been more perfect. They had zero odor and my 9 month old Doberman went crazy for them. I ordered more, a 10 pack of the Jumbo, to provide more chew time. When I opened the bag I was nearly knocked on my back by the most vile and gut wrenching stench imaginable. Not only are they impossible to have in any room inhabited by humans, but she wont hardly touch them and when she has chewed them she smells awful for quite a while. I love that these are sturdy, they don’t splinter and they don’t smell. We used the thick bully sticks with the bow wow buddy and our pup was so happy to have her favorite treat again. I tried so many different sticks but since she’s a gulper, so I couldn’t trust her with a bully stick of any size even when I was right there next to her because she’s gulp it down when it was still quite long! Very frightening. The bow wow buddy made it possible for her to have her bully sticks again, which gives us all some peace and quiet lol! Our 20lb mini Aussie can get through 1/2 of a thick size in about 15 mins so I take it away after 15 mins and save it for another time. Dog ended up having diarrhea. Second time trying this brand and both times ended up sick. My sisters dogs also ended up with diarrhea (gave them a bag as a gift). They have been fine with any other bully stick brand and funnily enough they were fine with this brand when we got them 1.5 years ago. I have bought several brands of these and this is by far the best one that has pleased my dogs, lasted longer and are consistently the size the package states. They do stink but my experience has been that the smellier they are the more the dogs love it! It is a repulsive smell so I would advise against letting them on the furniture with it and wash your hands after touching them as your hands will smell. I tolerate this because at 5.00 per pop you want quality, a safe product for your pup and want them to last a bit. I have bought brands that our Toy Aussiedoodle demolished in less than a day but I get the large and she is an aggressive chewer so they last up to 2 days for each stick sometimes. We also have a chi that likes the large sticks and they last him quite awhile! Please always take any treat from your pet when it gets too small. These can easily choke them to death if they fit it in their mouth.Sarah
Not only am I happy with these treats, the little guys are, & they can be finicky about these things. Of course, presentation is an important key, but you know your pups more than anyone else. Our little guys took to these gnaws very quickly. Way faster than a few of the other treats that we have tried before. Being able to chew on something is important to them, to dogs in general. Sometimes it helps with their chewing on other things, or destroying toys. Sometimes, it's just good for their teeth & well being. Sometimes I just like giving them a cool treat. I can't tell you anything about taste, & they don't smell like anything to me, really, but the guys love them & that does say a whole bunch. Like all of the furry friends, they like to socialize when you're eating, & giving them a nice crunchy treat is a great thing for them. These are hard treats, not soft. They are also not uniform in thickness, just length. Be careful when they eat them. You can cut them I pieces, but certainly would want to use some kitchen shears to be safe. As with anyone, I'm concerned about toxic chemicals & manufacturer of origin for them. I can't find the country of origin on the package, only the distributor. These NatureGnaws bully sticks are a great option to get for your dog if he or she is a tough chewer. It seems like bully sticks are the only things that can keep them occupied for longer than 15 minutes. In fact, my dog usually chews a bully stick for around 30 minutes or so, so it ends up being a great investment. As far as the quality of these bully sticks, my dog seems to love them. Granted, she loves pretty much everything, so that's not the best way to determine how good it is. As far as bully sticks in general go, I've tried ones from Costco and Chewy.com, and I would say, the ones from Chewy are the least smelliest of them all. These NatureGnaws ones are similar in smell to the ones from Costco. They don't smell bed at first, but once the dog starts chewing on them for a while, the odor comes gushing out. But if you're used to the bully sticks smell, then this shouldn't be a problem. These bully sticks are also about 2 inches shorter in length than ones from Costco. We've tested quite a few bully sticks and have found these to be the perfect ones for my corgi! She's not a fast chewer but these seem to last the longest and she seems to enjoy them the most. Be ware though, they may say Odor free but they are pretty stinky! We call them "stink sticks" in my house. Our lab, however, destroys these way quicker than rawhides.
