My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Because of the covid situation and proximity of timing to our trip to see family, there was no way to get her to a vet in time before we had to leave in 3-4 days. So we did the best we could with a dropper to feed and water her and rushed out to get Vetericyn to help stave off the infection which reduced the angry redness to a healthier pinkish. For the very few days we had before we had to go, I was keeping her hydrated and was spraying her face with the Vetericyn regularly (as directed) even as we headed out the door with one last treatment. We did cut our weekend trip short by a day out of concern for her, but when we came back she was doing significantly better in that the swelling was down, but was reddened again. Back to the spray treatment, make sure she got dropper-watered, and by that evening she was gingerly back to parking in her 'askance' spot hoping for bits of our chicken dinner! Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I caught the spots early on and started treating them immediately and have been treating them for a month now and they are getting better but slowly, these things are stubborn. I can say that absolutely nothing else I tried worked. Believe it or not, I read online the other day that rubbing Pepto Bismol on hot spots actually works, you heard right, Pepto Bismol. I haven't had the nerve to try it as I thought it could just be some nut trying to infect your pet even worse. Great surgical suit. Good quality material and workmanship plus it looks fabulous! Walkee Paws are fantastic! He has managed to kick off every other style of boot but not these and he didn't mind wearing them at all! As soon as they arrived we immediately tried them out and he got used to them right away. The video shows him walking after about 3 minutes of wearing them. It was also 11° F on this walk which would normally leave his paws too cold for more than just a few minutes outside and with his Walkee Paws on we were able to walk for over 20 minutes! His paws didn't get cold or bothered by snowballs and ice. We even walked off into the woods and because we had the adjustable fit and they were snug around his legs he didn't get any snow inside them either. The materials are very good quality and we have been using them for a month now with very little signs of wear. I am thankful for this product to make a cold Wisconsin winter much more enjoyable for my little 9 lb dog! It is a pretty good product. At least when the boots fall off you don’t lose them. He’s worn these boots about 12 times and today was the first day, with readjusting almost constantly every day before we leave, that they haven’t fallen off. Other than that they keep his feet dry he had no difficulty walking in a bit he had lots of practice with other boots that we had to return because he didn’t work. I would recommend these boots to other small dog owners. I often wonder if the smalls would’ve fit him better but with a 12 day shipping time, we needed the booth right now. Also if you’re selling some on Amazon, that’s where I would’ve bought it so I wouldn’t of had to pay your shipping , you should all you should list boots with leggings instead of leggings with boots and then your boots would come up when people search for boots. My Labrador had stitches in her front leg right on the ankle joint so it was at high risk of infection as very close to the bone. I was hoping this would negate the need for the huge buster collar however, she would still lick at it through the sleeve and make it wet therefore increasing the risk of infection to the wound. She therefore still had to wear the buster collar as well as the sleeve to stop her licking it. Within a couple of days, there was a hole in the material of the sleeve and since then, a further tear has developed, so the quality of the material is not that good. She has also worked out how to get her leg out of it so all in all, it hasn’t been that great! That said, I would still recommend using one as it was better than not having the wound covered at all but for me, it didn’t negate the need for a buster collar unfortunately.Julieann

1 Very happy owner and one calm snoring Dog. He`s been at the top of his leg the last few days and licked it raw . No socks long enough and a long sleeved T shirt was not a success . Ordered this sleeve out of desperation . Money well spent ….. came in a flash and as soon as I put it on he seemed really excited and happy, running round barking the way he does before we go a walk. Now he`s sleeping and not looked at his leg once. Its made of a sweatshirt type fabric , the leg size is more important than body girth as there is lots of Velcro and poppers so easy to adjust so it fits comfortably , I`m glad I did not go for the XL as his chest measurement was borderline the L fits perfectly. We live in Saranac Lake, NY which is many times the coldest spot in the country. My pup loves the snow and hiking in the woods but when temps drop so low it’s really tough to take him out without the ice causing him pain. I’ve tried other boots that just would not stay on. We are on our third Walkin' Bootie Splint for our 10 year old Australian Shephard. He had a stroke and still drags his foot, so he tends to wear them out faster than we would like. But it is really supportive in encouraging him to put weight on his front right foot.Tracy W.

My Doberman Pinscher "Harry" had broken his front right "pinky toe" bone rough housing. My vet Took care of him with a specially made splint and wrap. They suggested I get this splint which would eliminate all the gauze wrap etc. He wore it for three days and started walking normally. Well after about the fifth day, Harry would have it on just going out for walks. By weeks end, it's back in it's original packaging and mailing envelope. Probably won't need it again but just in case, keep it in his medical box. Nice product. The extra padding I purchased, I used a little bit to make a slot for his carpel to slide down into. This is so the carpel didn't get squashed between his leg and the splint. He seems to be doing fine now, back to chasing squirrels in the trails.Alden

The product is very well made and easy to put on. It does not work for my dog because he has no feeling in his leg. I bought it to use as a splint for his foot contracture. We used this product on our grand dog. He was a scaly, crusty mess and had lost most of his hair. We took him to the vet and put him a regimen of medicated shampoo, oral antibiotics and an immunomodulator. We used the Skin Soother immediately after his daily bath. We also have him the salmon treats daily. I believe this product helped him regain his health. His color came back and all the scales and itching were gone. So I bought another. My pug had a dark bald spot on his neck from scratching and I was looking for something that would hopefully heal the area and let his hair grow back. I discovered the skin soother and decided to give it a try and this worked like magic! I ordered the 2 oz stick version and loved it. The application was great. It was very easy and clean to apply overall. I applied it to the area twice a day for two weeks before I was able to start seeing results. The hair started growing back and the dark skin was lightening up and becoming less dry and flaky. At the same time, my dog was scratching at it less so that was a plus. Only thing is this stick was practically gone by my second week. It would not have come close to lasting the month. That being said, I had to order another to see continued results but I ordered the larger tin instead. My only issue with this product is the tin is a lot harder to apply. The texture itself is not as soft and smooth as the stick. I also had to use my own hands to spread it on which I did not like at all. It also gets messy in the tin as my pug sheds so there is now hair stuck in the product. My recommendation to the company would be to have the stick in a larger option and I would gladly purchase that. However, currently I greatly regret purchasing two of the tins instead of the smaller sticks. All in all, this product works and I would buy it again! My 22 month old extremely active male yellow Lab, Gus, developed redness and a rash on his belly area while running him 5 miles every day in and around rice fields in Glenn County, located in the Sacramento Valley in Northern California. This product is a lifesaver! Tried soo many different things for a skin tag on my pup's back leg. Its just on the other side of his hock, so bandages limited his mobility and he ended up pulling most of them off. He’s 11 and has never had a cone in his life. Our 4 year old lab tore his acl and vet recommended 3 weeks of basic crating with pain medications. Tried it for 2 weeks and saw no improvement. My little frenchie loves these steps to get up and down (after a bit of treat training!) from the bed. Absolutely worth it to keep her injury free from jumping on and off heights. This is an excellent set of pet stairs. I liked the information envelope included with the 'Hello' cards…so nice! It had a disclaimer regarding a non-hazardous odor…we did not notice any odor at all straight out of the packaging. The foam blocks are nice and firm, my 15 lb Boston terrier mix has no issues using them. I like the neutral color as well. Material seems to be of a decent quality. It was easy to put together as well, just stack the top foam block onto the bottom one, pull the cover material over it and zip. Have not had to launder it yet, but instructions state machine wash cold, gentle cycle. I'm curious how it will hold up to washing.MomInLa

We love these pet steps. I have two small dogs: a 10 lb chihuahua mix, and a 16 lb silky terrier with short legs. Both of my dogs were able to use these pet steps the very first day we got them. We trained them by putting little bits of cheese on each step, and a piece at the top. We tried these steps out with my couch, and on my bed, which my terrier struggles jumping up on, especially as she ages. They are a nice neutral gray color which worked well in both my bedroom and my living room. They are soft, plush, and very lightweight, so it was easy to move from one place to the other. Included in the box, was a note saying it might have a little bit of a smell from the newly manufactured foam. I smelled it a little bit when opening the box, but didn't even notice it again after the stairs were assembled. By the way, the assembly is just putting one of the cushions inside a zippered section. The rest of it was already inside. Very easy. It even included a nice note from the company, and three free blank greeting cards as a thank you for buying their product. We've had plastic pet stairs in the past, but had trouble with the legs falling off, making it unsafe for our dogs to use. We ended up getting rid of those. Recieved a 3oz bottle of Vetericyn Plus Hotspot Antimicrobial Hydrogel for free in exchange for an honest review. I have to say, this stuff is amazing! My lab/beagle mix suffers from skin allergies, and the poor thing will scratch and chew herself until she bleeds, so I was very eager to try this product. The day I received it, I rubbed down her belly with it (this is where she itches the most) and it seemed like she felt instant relief. When she starts scratching, I apply a thin layer of the gel and she stops almost immediately. And it lasts for hours! My poor pupper got irritated paws from horrible ginko berries smashed all over the fall ground and then made them worse by licking. They were so red and I felt so bad. This product is on the shelf next to a dozen others that claim to do the same thing, but I didn't get to it until three others didn't get the job done. This showed visible improvement within a day. Bonus that he didn't lick it off – before I tried this I would combo an antimicrobial with one of those "bitter taste dogs hate" sprays, but my dog is weird and loved those things and would lick them like crazy. I'd have to wrap his paws and watch him like a hawk. Not so with this! He stays away from it so it can work…bonus points bc spray plus consistency is easy application. Our dog twice got foxtail seeds in his paws which lead to serious infections. He missed a hunting trip and the second time his paw was huge with the infection and had to be lanced. Poor fella. I found Musher's Secret online and took a chance. He never got another seed or infection in his paws. We've now have two small dogs who are having a hard time this winter on the snow and ice. Both of them come inside from going out for 2-3 minutes (I set a timer.) limping with ice crusted on their paws. I'm sure Musher's Secret is going to take care of this problem. I've only used the product on my dog's paws one time. At first he wanted to sniff and know what I was doing, but after applying the wax to his paws he licked my hand as to say thank you. The opportunity presented itself for me to try out the Bumi dog toy, produced by West Paw. This particular toy is one of West Paw's newest dog toys. Bumi, makes an exceptional toy for tug of war. It is made of Zogoflex. Zogoflex is a strong, malleable material that is suppose to withstand unfavorable conditions. Those conditions being my dog's sharp teeth, his powerful grip, and his action in thrashing it all over the yard as he is playing. Well, I went outside and introduced him to the Bumi. He wasn't excited like I thought he would be. At first, that was disappointing. He would not play tug of war with me. Instead, he liked running and fetching the Bumi back to me. The Bumi is a light weight, "S" shaped, bouncy toy that is easy to throw for fetching. It also travels a bit further than most toys due to these traits. It is non-toxic, BPA and Phthalates free ( Phthalates is a chemical used to soften PVC plastics). These substances can cause damage to the kidneys, liver, lungs, and testes according to animal research. Not all dog toys are safe and I do not want to risk my dog's health for anything. The Bumi is made to be long lasting and safe for dogs to chew on. I like that he will fetch the toy because it requires him to get up and move. Exercise will be good for him and he is learning a few commands. I gave him a reward and that really motivated him to continue fetching. It looks like my dog will enjoy chewing on this toy for the most part. So far, it has held up well.When he puts his mouth on it, he grips it in the middle section, where it has a ball like shape. I suppose it's because this is the first time he has had a toy like this. Usually, he retrieves balls and other round toys so this toy is fun and easier for him to grip. This toy is made in the USA and it was made to last a long time. The chewing action is good for his gums and teeth. The Bumi floats in water and can be easily washed or placed in the dishwasher. Lastly, I was impressed with the fact that if the Bumi comes apart it can be returned to West Paw company for a new one. The West Paw Company made this toy so it can be recycled if returned. It's a great toy for my dog and with it being recyclable, it is good for us and our environment. I don't think a dog owner could go wrong in purchasing this new innovative toy by West Paw.DD

Over the past 17 years, we've had 3 dogs and have bought hundreds of toys over those years. None of our dogs were very rough with their toys, so we've had 3 baskets full of gently used dog toys. All 3 dogs have since passed away, the last one in June of 2020. So, in September of 2020 we got a mini Goldendoodle puppy. Since we still had the 3 baskets full of toys that were in good condition from our other dogs, our new puppy, "Bowie" has had tons of toys to play with. The big difference is that Bowie is NOT gentle with his toys!! He is a power chewer who not only tears toys apart, he will actually consume the stuffing!! I've had to take every toy away from him after a day or two due to his weird appetite! I NEVER leave him alone with a toy. But there is one toy from that bunch that he absolutely loves and is still in excellent condition. So, thankfully, I was able to find the name of the company stamped into this toy, and I immediately searched the internet for the company West Paw (praying that it was still around). I was ecstatic to find their website, and there I saw his beloved toy – the "Bumi"!!! I was also surprised to see it listed as a toy for gentle chewers! I saw that almost all the reviewers mentioned that their dogs were more like Bowie – power chewers. The other thing about the Bumi is that it makes Bowie do the Zoomies all around the house whenever he plays with it. It makes him crazy! So, the added benefit is the exercise he gets when he plays with it, and there is still not a single bite mark on it!
