I just recently brought this product and my house was infested with fleas I tried everything to get rid of them all the natural things I could vacuuming , sprays, vinegar all that of which didn't work. I bought this as a last resort and I used it and I absolutely love this product it killed the fleas I found dead fleas on my carpet on my bed it was just absolutely wonderful. We have been using this product for a number of years with great success, since we own a kennel we needed something we could use frequently without worrying about toxic effects on the dogs. Surprisingly we found that we generally only had to do 2 applications throughout the summer, the eco smart has been very effective in controlling fleas, ticks, the majority of crawling bugs and even repels spiders. For several days after an application we even noticed a reduction in the numbers of flying insects. A couple of things we found regarding application, the area to be sprayed needs to be dry, that means best not to spray in the early morning or for a couple of days after a rain and best not to spray before rain is due.KenH

I used this product in my panty as I had a serious moth invasion. Please note, you will need to spray twice. Empty and clean your pantry from top to bottom and don't forget the walls of your panty and underneath the shelves. Then Vacuum and wipe down. I used vinegar and I added eucalyptus essential oil (the moths dont' like eucalyptus). Discard any infested items and when in doubt, throw it out. Then Spray your panty with EcoSmart and wait 1 week and spray again. Do NOT put items back in the the pantry until you have sprayed a 2nd time. Wait a day or 2 until putting items back and be sure to place meal & grain type items, ie flour, rice, etc in AIR TIGHT CONTAINERS. If there any critters left, they won't be able to get to it and you are now essentially starving any remaining moths. While this product doesn't have the greatest of scents, and it will linger for weeks, it is a SMALL price to pay to get rid of the pantry moths. Another plus, it is safe to use around humans and pets. To prevent this problem happening again, I also soaked cotton balls in Lavender Essential Oil and placed a few cotton balls in disposable plastic containers (like a washed out and clean yogurt cup) and placed a few on each of the shelves of my pantry as well as in kitchen cupboards that have spices and coffee in them. Got this product and used it the last 3 years with opossums bedding under the shed and causing flea outbreaks. The product worked for the first 2 years while having to do 2-3 applications but this year they seem to not be phased by this product. I guess it depends on your area if they are chemically resistant to certain pesticides like this and how many times you’ve used it before?Billy R

I have had a war with fleas every year starting early spring. Blackflag is on the front lines of that war. My basement is where they amass the worst and I've used foggers, diatomaceous earth and other sprays. Nothing works as fast or as effectively as blackflag products. The Fungus Gnats had taken over my small green house and within a few days there was a noticeable difference and on day 5 sticky traps were remaining Gnat free. While I was dubious when I ordered, with literally a dozen or so pellets (1/4 teaspoon) in each of a couple of 200Ltr/44 Gal drums we catch water in, the wrigglers were dead in a day or so. I found out a that a dog was at my house and had lice. So I searched and found this. I spray on the dogs along with a bed that I can't put in the dryer to heat and kill the lice. Never knew about dogs and lice. Purchased 15 cans total to give to friends as well.Dixie

This does not work I inherited a house that had a cat with fleas. I found the cat another home and I've been using hot shot flea tick and lice killer for about 2 months now and the fleas are still there.Eric White

This is the only flea product that I have used that is 100% effective. I keep it on hand because where I live, fleas come in on your clothing and then infests you're pets and home. So, needless to say, this is my saving grace. It works so well that when it disappeared out of the DG stores, I went online to purchase from them. Was really glad to see that it was not discontinued. If you have school age kids that bring home head lice all the time, it works great in that too! Keep it on hand because it's hard to come by.Barbara

I was on frontline for years but when I thought I saw a couple fleas on my dogs in September 2020, I decided to make a switch to Advantage II for my cats and Advantix II for my dogs— BIGGEST mistake of my life (seriously, like over any horrible exes). I have $515.97 in receipts I submitted to the company (which was as horrible as the experience, which I will get to) and spent an additional $70 in store (in which I cannot find the receipt) since September 2020 to December. I followed every tip on the website and insert and my animals were still covered. I applied perfectly. I applied initially weekly, vacuum daily, steam cleaned, wash bedding constantly, etc. I don’t even have carpet but on the stairs and have treated the stairs and couches with Predcor. I even bought those flea traps with the sticky bottoms. I am not including any of this in that total I spent– that was all on the flea medications themselves for the 6 animals. I have saved some, not all, of the vials so on 11/13 I called Elanco. They denied my request for any type of refund. They questioned my exact dosage dates and frequency more than a doctor wants to know about your menstrual cycles but I took my best guesses, for all 6 animals although I did know what schedule they were on but didn't have it in front of me. Then they said that the product was probably not working because I bathed my dogs initially at the beginning 48 hours before application?? Their website TELLS you to bathe them before application (see 2nd screenshot posted)! I stopped bathing them after the 2nd application as it wasn't working and the dogs were miserable and only tried 2 cats (and really only 1 successfully because we all know how that goes). They then told me that I didn't give the product long enough?? Their website states (see 3rd screenshot) and is the same for Advantage II "K9 Advantix® II kills fleas within 12 hours. New fleas that jump on the dog from the surroundings, such as grass, carpet and pet bedding, are killed within 2 hours with protection against further infestation for at least 4 weeks." I tried their products, $600 worth on 6 animals, as scheduled, no missed doses for 4 months. I can’t blame it on just one animal or one batch—it didn’t work on 6, or one batch! I am very upset. Not only have I wasted money on these but I have bought corresponding products, sprays for the beddings, flea traps, etc. I FINALLY called Terminex and had to spend 12 hours clearing out under my beds, closets, getting everything off my floors, moving furniture etc. (time I will never get back) and getting my children and pets out of the house and went back to the brand that works: FRONTLINE! NO MORE FLEAS– what I should have done in the first place. I am so upset not by the fact that the product didn't work but by the way the company handled it, dodging any responsibility from blaming it on the baths they recommend to the length of time I gave it when they could have just refunded me and had someone that isn't going to not only post this review every place I bought it (not just here) but every other place that allows a review to include social media.Intelhottie

We bought Advantix liquid application anti-flea and tick treatment because it is effective, was less expensive and did not require a prescription. We had easily and successfully used liquid Advantix for years with our Plott hound mix. We now have a beagle. Beagle hair is different; it's thick, coarse, oily, kind of water proof and difficult to part in order to properly apply the liquid to the skin. Advantix is a very good product, but pet owners may want to assess their pet's coat to determine how the liquid application could be applied.Gary

My dog was getting ticks so I purchased this. I have used it in the past with great success when it had the Bayer logo on it . The one I received has the Elanco brand logo on it. I used 1 bottle and It was like I used nothing at all. Mind you I walk my dog and when he comes in the house I would find 2 or 3 live ticks walking on him. So I figured ok maybe it didnt work or I didnt wait long enough. After about 10 days of this I applied another bottle and again nothing. He still kept coming in the house with ticks every time. So I'm not sure exactly what's going on but the package I received appeared to be authentic. All serial numbers matched and packages were sealed well. Never had this happen before but definitely going back to Frontline Plus.kschoern

This is the best product I have ever used for fleas! We had an awful flea infestation. I tried many different kinds of the name brand topicals as well as home, yard & pet sprays and the very expensive collar and nothing even slowed them down until this. I put it on my dogs as soon as I received it and by the next day I could tell it was working. Within a week all our fleas were gone! Good for the outside, won't hurt outdoor animals, squirrels , cats, and whatnot that may travel around your property. just the bugs. Just moved into my first apartment. The place I moved to was found to have an existing ROACH problem outside the unit in front of my door. So I bought this to treat the problem. Used it last night while they were active and instead of killing them, it brought them inside. What we have been trying to avoid. Now we have roaches in our hallway outside the unit. All this product did was bring in tons more and they came inside. Do not recommend. It also does not kill on contact as stated. I sprayed and sprayed and sprayed the roaches and they just kept crawling. It says its water based. Maybe too much water because they seem unaffected. One did die after I sprayed it 50 times. Will be going to buy Ortho for this terrible problem since our landlord refuses to spray and calls them Waterbugs.alyssa.w

My place of residence is a major downgrade from my previous place due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, I had to move because I can't afford to live where I was before. My new place is in a not so bright neighborhood and has a major insect problem. From small to big, ants to other bugs that I don't even want to say and even bugs I've never seen in my life before moving here. I started buying bug sprays at first but now I still buy bug sprays and then I also started buying these big gallon size bug control sprays that comes with a separate nozzle that you attach onto the gallon jug and the brand is The Eliminator. A few weeks ago I see this brand of these gallon size bug control sprays and it's a little bit cheaper than The Eliminator brand so I purchased it. The packaging says the same things like The Eliminator like FUME FREE, WON'T STAIN and CLEAR SOLUTION, so I used it one day after I got home work then instantly I could smell the liquid that I was spraying, which then lead to me coughing and my little ones who were inside the house but my house door was open and screen door was closed so even my kids were affected by the fumes of this spray so NEVER AGAIN AM I PURCHASING THIS BRAND.April

Neighbors are completely infested, and now we have them too. I have been trying my absolute best to make sure we don't end up like them. I used the hotshot fogger and was bitten the same night. So much effort cleaning and inconvenience for something that only seemed to kill my house flies. After reading I decided to get alpine wsg, but I needed some relief until it came in. Im always skeptical of Walmart pet products but after reading reviews I decided on the Adams fleas and tick. I sprayed my bed the couch (the dogs sleep on both) and my entire upstairs carpet. I haven't been bitten in 2 days. I know they'll be back and ive many more things to do, but this spray works. Their is a funky smell but it's not really that bad as suggested by reviews and I didn't notice it even 15 minutes after spraying. The product seems good but the bottle isnt. Spray isnt consistent, and it leaks a bit, I got it all over my hands. Might want to wear gloves if that's a thing you're worried about, but it definitely killed adult fleas same day. Would buy again, probably would put it in a better sprayer myself.

If you are already infested, the reality is there is no one step. Treat your animals your house and your yard same day, if you don't nothing will seem to work. Me personally I'd rather properly use what the exterminators use. I think alot of people write reviews same day. They'll be back. Keep your house clean, treat your pets with a 30 day option, treat every room in the house even if you think there's no activity and treat your yard too. Don't leave a stone unturned and when you think your problem is over, do it again. If that's too much for you, consider an actual exterminator. If i could give this negative stars, I would. This stuff is awful. It's expensive, smells very strong of chemicals and doesn't kill any fleas. I lightly sprayed my furniture like the instructions said, waited for it to dry and my furniture smelled like nasty chemicals for days. It also left a greasy feel on my skin and clothing. Just an all around bad product. I'll never buy an Adam's product again. If you love your animals and children I wouldn't use this anywhere they will be. Find a different product.Amber

I have 2 indoor only cats and somehow became infested with fleas in my apartment. I tried home remedies to no avail and couldn't stand seeing them so uncomfortable. Today I bought flea foggers and Adams flea and tick spray, after applying the spray while on my white tile bathroom floor I saw them jumping off. So, having nothing better to do I say there watching them squirm and die for about five minutes when both cats, who rarely sleep together crawled into my lap purring and immediately fell asleep together. They got some much needed relief. I'm not sure how long it'll kill future fleas but I've bombed the house and will continue to apply the spray lightly until I don't see any activity. I think we'll all sleep well tonight and hopefully the problem is taken care of finally. I highly recommend this product. Make sure you thoroughly clean after bombing and applying and definitely change the litter and clean the box as fleas can live and repopulate in the dirty litter.Jason Cox

I bought this product after reading all the good reviews. I should've paid more attention as all the good reviews mention other insects and not roaches. I have a roach problem in my 1 bedroom apartment, set up all 4 foggers, left the apartment closed for an additional hour than suggested so total of 4 hours. When i opened the apartment roaches were crawling around as if nothing had happened >:( needless to say i was so disappointed. What upset me the most was having to put everything (clothes, dishes, foods) back in the house as i was extra careful about removing certain things from getting fogged. Do not recommend it and will absolutely never buy it again.Ana

used 20 to fumigate my house attic upstairs downstairs downstairs separate garage shed under decks. found 2 big spiders one on my porch and one on my living room wall after. let the one on the porch live. dont' forget to turn off your gas appliances first. I bomb spray and spread granules once a year. I advised many in the area to also as our houses are all around 100 years old. And with the climate change ive seen ants like i used to in California. I'm sure the neighbors would freak if they saw the 1 ft ant hills ive seen pop up in the back yard of relatives in CA. Some are way bigger than one ft actually. Anyway an ounce of prevention. I usually have my spring cleaning going on after this to wipe everthing down and wash everything.Cynthia

I was truely dissatisfied with this product. I followed the directions to the T. I live in my 32 ft RV and I noticed a few roaches. I wanted to make them disappear as fast as i could. I set off 4 foggers with caninets open and I left for 4hrs. I expected maybe to see a few here and there but seemed like they were even worse. Im terribly disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone.Leslie

Absolutely useless product. I am aware this is only useful for 24 hours. My dog enjoyed eating it as a treat but other than that it's useless! It did absolutely nothing in 24 hours if anything it seemed like it made it worse! All it seemed to do was irritate the fleas and make them bite more! Also another thing to note after taking this my dogs were extremely extremely thirsty like I've never seen before! Please beware and don't waste your money on this useless product like I did pay the extra 20 dollars and go buy a soresto collar.V

My poor boy. The fleas love him. I can give him a flea bath every day and he's still infested. After trying daily baths, over the counter remides treating my yard and topical treatments, nothing worked so I decided to try a oral treatment. I swear by this. After one treatment I would find fleas on my bed (he jumps up on my bed when I'm not looking because I didn't want to share his unwanted friends) my blanket was covered…. of dead or dying fleas. 1 TREATMENT people. Since I do have two big dogs I will be spending the money monthly. Works great and we'll worth it. And my dogs eat the treatment with no issues.Joanne McCullough

I wanted this to work so bad because my dog is highly allergic to fleas and shreds himself up even when he has the topical flea prevention. Even if a dog around him has fleas he breaks out (our neighbor dog has fleas so my poor pup get around them). I saw this and wanted to try to give him some relief to my itchy pooch. The first day, I saw 3 fleas on my dog and purposefully left them on there to see if it worked. I came back in an hour and they were still there. I figured since it says up to 4 hrs I would wait. Later in the day I checked him, fleas still there. So I thought may it took some time for his body to get accustomed to it. The next day same story, he went outside in the morning I checked him saw he has some fleas, gave him a pill checked him about an hour and a half later, fleas are still having a party. Let it set for the rest of the afternoon and checked him before dinner, still the fleas are alive and kicking. 3rd day same story. At this point I can see it isn’t working and I wasted the $25 it costs for it. At least I didn’t spend the $50 for the month. Look at the reviews and notice several of us back to back have rated it the same so obviously something is wrong here. Avoid and save your money and spend it on the more expensive one!Kate

puuurrrrfect product. I found flea dirt on the dogs, but no fleas. So i knew they were in the house but dying off on the dogs. However, the cat is indoors and therefore not protected. I have used this product for years for spiders. Being terrified of spiders, this product gives me a lot of comfort. I spray it around the corners of every room in the house every 3 months and hardly ever see one! It's also pretty safe for animals to be around after spraying, and that's a great benefit.Sheryl N

I was under the impression of a residual kill from the description I read. I have to spray the barn and bedding daily to keep the fly population down. If I hit the flies with the spray then they will die. If the spray dries and then they land on it they will survive. I'm going to mix it stronger the next batch. It does work but you just need to keep spraying.Matt H

This flea comb works! And it is a great low price. It does comb the fleas and flea dander out of your pets fur. I keep a bowl of water by me when i do it. so i can dip the comb in it to get the fleas off the comb. Great comb and i highly recommend!luvs22222shop

The effectiveness based on cu ft is for completely open space; takes twice as much if you have walled space. Must use at least 2 times (preferably 3 times) no more than 7 days apart & set for 4 hrs., not 2 hrs. Move items around a bit each use to get fleas hiding underneath. This is only way to break cycle & will have to use twice yearly, until fleas become immune, then, will have to switch to something else. I'm going for round 2 this weekend. It's tiring, I know. Worked well last year, hope it works this year.EBM

Don't waste you money. we bought 4 and used 3 and only one worked. The other 2 didn't empty better than half was still in the can. I had to restar the fogger 3 times and wound up breathing some in.Disapointed

This is not like those cheapy dollar flea combs that don't even have handles which are so difficult to use and the bristles are usually made of plastic. This is a MUST for any pet owner out there. I'm usually too lazy to write reviews but I just had to because I thought all flea combs were the same but they aren't. This will make your life and your pet's life so much better since it's so easy to use due to the metal bristles which allow it to glide through your pets' fur with ease. It gets so much fleas and their dirt. Also, your pet gets to enjoy a little massage. It's so gross but it's a small sacrifice to deal with in order to improve quality of life. Get this!! I am fostering rescued cats and also have a feral cat colony and its warm most of the year here, so fleas is a huge issue and I am trying to avoid using chemicals. I have been using a human lice comp for years and stumbled upon this comb accidentally. This is the real thing and I wish I had known about this years ago! The handle is super comfortable and lets you comb in different angles and reach all places. I've been using petarmor for quite a few years now, and not ever an issue, would find a dead flea once in a while. now this new order I received, first dose and both my dogs are having anywhere from 4-7 fleas everyday on each of them. I've had my yard sprayed, I bathe my dogs regularly , they only go outside to potty. So i a at wits end with why the petarmor is not working !!! I use fipronil for my work on bed bugs and other insects and I know this product works. I use your product for my dog and it works great. Fipronil being the ingredient in certain bed bug products is one of the best chemicals for the control of tough to kill insects. It works wonders on parasites of wild and domestic animals and is safe to work with by following the directions. It's basically odorless so dogs and cats dont mind the application. It takes a few days to kill but it last a very long time and some people dont give it time to work. It works by being ingested and if the tick or bed bug have already had a blood meal it will take time for them to feed again. So give itvtime.Carlo

So far, so good. I've been using this product as a generic alternative for Frontline Plus for about a year now. Applicator: The applicator is similar as the one from Frontline Plus and I would argue that it's easier to open. The product itself looks and smells like FLP which you would expect with the same active ingredients. Use: My dog's skin will be oily in the application spot for several hours but again, no different than FLP. I have tried alternative products with different active ingredients and they had to be applied in several locations on the dog's back and would remain very oily for days meaning that whenever the dog came into contact with furniture, there would be huge oily spots. This has not been the case with Petarmor. I typically apply it in the morning before going to work and then crate my dog while at work. When I return, the product is completely absorbed into the skin and I don't have to worry about oily residue on my hands or furniture. Efficacy: In the last year, we have had one tick on our dog that had actually attached while using this product. The 2 years prior, we also had one occurence of a tick attaching using FLP, so no difference there. If anything, maybe I'm not using it correctly or frequently enough? Either way, the ticks were relatively easy to pull out and the dog showed no signs of disease or illness. We also had one occassions where although the ticks did not attach to our dog's skin, they did use the dog as a vehicle to get into our house. I think the active ingredient kept them from attaching but didn't keep them from staying off of her. They ended up crawling on our floor but I was able to kill them. In short, it works at least as well as Frontline Plus although it isn't 100% effective in stopping ticks from attaching.iamholland
