I have an adopted fur-baby that had a lot of control and behavior issues. Training, the usual way was just not working. I tried this and, within one day, the disruptive behavior (running and tearing up things in the house, jumping from one piece of furniture to another, non-stop barking) all stopped. He began with sitting, immediately after only two "vibrations" of the collar. By the end of the week, all I had to do was take out the remote control, say the words of sit, stay, no and wait, and he did so. Now, I don't have to use the remote at all but just say the words. I will tell you that, under no circumstances would I recommend the "shock" feature. Because it is easily changed on this model, by accident, I found out, the hard way just how much it hurts the animal. If you click MODE, by accident, from it being on vibrate, it switches over to Shock. BE VERY CAREFUL when you are about to use the Y button, for sound or vibration as, if it's on shock–and this was the very low setting–the dog whelps loudly and jumps, shakes, etc. I would not recommend it for any animal lover as, I don't even want to know what it feels like. Because the vibration is strong, even on low settings, and the other setting of "beep" is a high frequency sound, I found them the most effective. Thebeep sound is for Guiness (my new family member) to come–I use the vibration for correction, when needed. Guiness was the most difficult dog that I have worked with and I have behavioral training for dogs, which I have used for all of my pets. If this worked on him, it will work on most dogs that have behavioral issues. I would recommend it for the vibration and sound settings–and hope to get one that doesn't have the shock setting as, I feel that is just inhumane to use on a dog (my opinion after seeing how he reacted, on just a low setting). PLEASE USE CAREFULLY until you are used to the remote. That is my only advice when purchasing this for training.kelly4jesus
I am, so far, very happy with the design of the collar and remote handset. I especially like that you can do either vibrate OR static corrections with this set, AND can adjust the level of stimulation, immediately, for each. My only complaint is that the slide on clip is NOT useful. It does not grab either a collar, belt, or pocket, to any real degree. It slips off easily and drops to the ground, to be either lost or damaged. It would be better to design a stronger spring clip or clamp that is stronger. Because it continues to fall from where it is clipped, I am forced to hold it in my hand continually. Giving the dog a visual cue that I have control handy. It is more useful for the dog no not be able to connect such an association. Putting it in my pocket results in a possible inadvertent correction to the dog unnecessarily. Although I like many aspects of this product, and being a professional dog trainer, it would be nice to be able to recommend an affordable, good quality product. But because of the handset clip, I hesitate to do so. If this design was addressed, I would recommend it.dpcclm
My dog used to jump on anyone that came over and she was hard headed about listening. Been using for about a month now and have only shocked her once (on level 2) and now she listen with or with out wearing collar. We still put it on her every day and especially if company is coming over, but she knows when she hears the beep she's gone to far in pushing her luck. Most of time beep gets back in line and if not vibrate does. Can't beleave we waited so long to get one. Now friends and family can come over again and we don't worry about her jumping up on our guest particularly little kids. We put it on her in the morning and take it off before bed time and turn collar off at night and battery will last almost 2 weeks on collar before charging (wonted to see how long battery would last between charges) , Generally now we charge it once a week over night and haven't had it die yet while she's been wearing it. Can't say how water proof it is at this point haven't allowed her in the water with it yet. Only complaint is as others have stated it's easy to change channels on transmitter if your not paying attention. But have gotten used to looking at transmitter before pushing button. Besides If your going from Beep to vibrate your gonna wanna see what you have it set to before you use transmitter again, so I don't find it that big of a deal.jnmpatterson4

I got this just for the vibe and beep function. I don't even put in the shock nubs, I use it for slight corrections before they commit to something they shouldn't. The unit itself is a bit large for dogs under 30lbs, I use it on a 33 lb corgi and a 70 lb lab mix. Both seem to handle the weight of the unit just fine. They shake a bit because of the size but not too much, the remote and collar recharge with a split cable, they seem to recharge well and battery life for just vibrate and beep function is long lasting. I have only recharged it once in a month. Only problem I have with the unit so far is the inability to tell if the unit is on or not, there is no indication on the remote if the collar is on or not and the led light of the collar does not light to show status, most times I need to beep the remote to tell if the collar is on or not. Other than that it serves it's purpose well with good range tested to 200 ft I can't say what the battery life would be with shock enabled but I would say well worth the $25.fowl_langauge
this product has worked miracles for me, i rescued a senior dog with some very bad habits, very lovable but obedience is something she never learned. suspect puppy mill dog? long time trainer it was making me crazy, never used a training collar, but she has rushed out onto the road several times now. one shock at 1/4 power and shes a changed dog! all i need do now is touch tone or vibrate and i get instant heel instead of cringing she will be killed. i am impressed! i would suggest a better "collar" tho, its quite flimsy.ladyjez_63

I live in an older building and the walls are very thin! All dogs bark but I didn't want howling or nuisance barking disturbing everyone. I was so excited to try this on my dog because there’s nothing else I’ve done has worked. I loved the range of size the collar goes. I also loved that the button is on the inside so the dog would not be able to accidentally turn it off(no it doesnt zap your hand)lol. These collars work great with a little bit of time and training. After a year of use, with supervision, I can now take my dogs (Basenji & G.Shep) outside on our 3 acres without the collars because they have now learned the boundaries. My favorite feature of these collars is the nightlight and the beep function. The nightlight is perfect for going out at night and keeping my eyes on where each dog is located. The beep function is fantastic, my dogs have learned the beep means to turn around and come back. During training I used the shock function (level 8 & I did test the level of intensity on my own leg) only a handful of times when absolutely necessary and it's never used now. Both dogs now respond to the beep and if they're chasing a deer they'll stop to the vibrate function. The two CONS I have with these collars are the rubber covers for the progs come off so easily when the dogs are wrestling and get lost constantly. The other con is that I've had the collars close to a year now and the rechargeable batteries within the device are dying. The collars are on charge constantly now so that they are charged up for when they are needed. The collar dies within about 8 hours before it needs a charge even if it's turned off. Whereas when I first got them the charge lasted about a week. This is after treating them correctly, turning off when not in use and only charging when needed.Elizabeth R.
I have used this collar for 2-3 years now, I went with it as it is one of the highest rated collars when researched. I do run into technical difficulties as you do with anything else and have had no problem with having them replaced. I favorite part is the range and diverse control settings. When my dogs are out of the yard, I just hit the sound button and they know they have went to far and to get back. They come usually immediately. My least favorite part is the product does not seem to last very long.. in the two to three years I’ve used this, I have had to get a few replaced and all with different problems. I recently bought a brand new set of two, and I am very happy. I just have a problem with one of them flashing the green light constantly while the device is on and the battery life on that specific collar does not last. I love how the vibration & shock can be set from 0-99. The sound tones are also pitched slightly different for each collar & has the option to add a third collar. I’ve had this for months & the battery in the remote lasts extremely long. I think I’ve only charged it once. The collars last days as well. The only thing I wish was easier is the ability to switch over from each channel. When you switch from shock to vibrate, the first click is to switch over, then the second click actually vibrates the collar (& vice versa). When switching over to the other channel, you have to follow the same procedure. Which is fine for normal circumstances. But, when it’s an emergent situation, that extra time it takes to shock/ vibrate the other collar can make a huge difference & lead to a struggle in a stressful situation.Erin

This collar is affordable and very effective. I have a large mountain cur who barks at night and annoys the neighbors. We still have some light barking which I imagine occurs before the strengthened static but it is completely manageable. Our only downside is that the collar is bulky… I take it off when she comes inside. If I do forget to put it on when she goes outside she will bark up a storm again! I bought two Basic Static Bark collars to help alleviate my puggle's and beagle's separation anxiety barking when we are not at home. The collars are fitted properly and in accordance with instructions and the batteries are working, yet BOTH dogs continue to bark. The biggest problem is that both collars tend to move to one side of the dogs' necks, so the dogs are probably not receiving the static correction. The directions state to "REPOSITION THE COLLAR ON THE PET'S NECK EVERY 1 TO 2 HOURS.." Obviously, if we are not home, this is impossible to do. I wasted almost $100 on collars that do not work on either dog. Petsafe customer service recommended that I should purchase the more expensive Deluxe Petsafe Collar. No thanks. I bought this about a week ago after I received a complaint from a neighbor and was given a warning from our HOA for disturbance. Well packaged and arrived on time. Did not use at first with my new Aussie Shep. My pup has zero recall now after she got use to my home. Jumping up, running away, just out of control. Had it just incase of. Incase of happened. Have it on the lowest settings, only use audio beep for now. I use in house around my mom who is elderly for the jumping up, also while off leash. Love the dual charging, the charge last long. Took me awhile to come to terms, but it has worked, don't leave it on long. I believe it can only be left for 12 hours at a time. This collar really does work. Ive had a problem with my French Bulldog continuously barking when he is in the garden, he would bark at anything that flew over, birds, butterflies and even aeroplanes. He would bark if he heard another dog or if my snobby neighbours sat in their garden talking or eating and talking to their dog but completely ignoring mine, all of my other neighbours love him to bits and talk to him over the fence. Anyway Ive tried whistles and clickers and of course vocally training him with no joy, a very stubborn breed! But from the second I put the collar on him it has reduced his barking by at least 75% Its well made and doesnt hurt your dog at all, it fits well with a good amount of adjustment and it comes with 3 different colour inserts a battery and a spare battery! He would bark constantly until he was given his ball or a treat, whichever he wanted at the time! Had tried lots of different approaches, but nothing worked. I purchased two of these as have two noisy schnauzers. One of the dogs is nervous so reacted quickly to the beeps and vibration as disliked it. The other just barks at everyone! So on wearing the collars, the nervous yappy one … would make little noise but not dare bark. The older dog who barks at everyone, became silent – tried it on her in the garden and she became very quiet. So, on wearing to the park… wow…. it was bliss, nice quiet walk. I have had training collars that cost north of $200. This collar des more and is perfect for dog training. I can normally use only sound, sometimes vibrate and very seldom have to resort to "shock". When I have though I never have to do it again to correct that behavior problem. Only thing I noticed annoying is the firmness required on the buttons. I assume that to be a built in precaution to prevent accidentally triggering. For me it's good. Love it.fishconnect

As far as the tone and vibration the product works well. But the shocking feature seems to run the battery down very quick. I can usually get about 4 corrective shocks out of the receiver before the range decreases dramatically and then 1-2 closer shocks before they loose all effectiveness but the tone and vibration will still work. The collar works very well. I do not know if it is the collar or my dog, but the shock button is rarely used because the vibration seems to work with her. Purchased the Petsafe Basic Bark Control Collar – PBC19-10765 in March 2019. Fast forward 7 months, I wish I had purchased The BarkCollar by DogWatch – No Bark Trainer BT-7 in the first place. Spending the extra money and doing your research is worth it! We have a Labrador and we noticed a sudden change in her behaviour when we moved house. 5am pedestrians and dog walkers and foxes passing by would set her off and we’d often have to get out of bed to give positive reinforcement or bring her inside. In the beginning, I purchased the the Petsafe Basic Bark Control Collar – PBC19-10765. It came with free Replacement Batteries and I purchased an extra pack to save on future postage. Initially, our Labrador responded quickly and barking reduced, however, I don’t believe this was the correct unit for our girl. Her irritability and persistent barking returned to full on annoyance after about four weeks. We replaced the first two complementary batteries, every 4-6 weeks and by August, I purchased 2 replacement Petsafe Red Nylon Straps, as they deteriorate and become too loose. After months of persevering, I returned to Bark Control website to do some further research. In October, purchased The BarkCollar by DogWatch – No Bark Trainer BT-7 and I wish I had done this in the first place!

These training collars come as a set for 2 dogs. There is 2 collars and 1 remote. They work great. The instructions are easy to follow and the collars are adjustable so they can be for large or small dogs. The clip makes it easy for putting the collar on and off. You are supposed to give your dog a break from these around their neck like any of other training collar. My dogs all I need is the beep and the vibration options but it does have a shock option as well and the vibration and shock are adjustable. You can switch from one dog to the other using the button on the side with the 1 and 2 on it. Overall a good shock collar for your money. No issues with it so far.Chris
