He loves it. It's his outdoor toy. He would go all day if we let him. We've had it for about 3 years now and it's pretty sun faded and has plenty of teeth marks in it. Also started developing a crack on the one hole, but otherwise its been incredibly durable. My partner can kick it hard across the yard in steel toes and it hasn't broken yet (that's probably what the crack is from). It has caused his gums to bleed a handful of times so maybe beware of that just because of the hard plastic if your pup is a tough chewer/biter, but otherwise my dog would literally kill for this toy. The ball is certainly great for standard use if your dog is just about playing fetch or chasing the ball around. But if your dog is a strong chewer, these tennis balls are not durable. I have a two year old Siberian Husky who loves to chew on things, including her tennis balls after she gets tired of chasing them around. She’s torn several of these Petco tennis balls into pieces in a matter of minutes, versus a gently used regular tennis ball that we found in the yard that took her well over a month to even pierce and split in half. The only reason I keep giving her the Petco tennis balls is because I bought several at once and want to use them up before I buy regular tennis balls. On the plus side, my husky continues to play with the torn up ball even after it’s already been obliterated so she gets at least a solid day out of it. I cannot rave about this brush ENOUGH! I have a Pug, so as any pug owner can tell you, THEY SHED, and they shed like a big dog would. This brush is incredible for any short haired doggy. When you use it, brush in a circular motion and you can just watch all the loose hairs come up. I was shocked the first time I used this because the amount of hair that it picks up and takes off is nuts. I had been using a regular brush at first for short haired dogs, now I combine the two. OK, I have been humbled. I see you did post my review I wrote last week, where I gave this item only two stars. Well, my dog kept bringing it to me, so I did put in some snacks. If you have a small breed, this is the Kong to get. It is a little softer than the regular Kong, so it makes it easier for a small breed to get to the yummies. Lady loves this little ball. It isn't much bigger than a tennis ball, but I think the handle helps keep her from accidentally swallowing it. She does like to chew on the handle, which doesn't seem as resilient as the rest of the ball. Overall it is an excellent bouncing ball and she can really chew on the ball with no damage. It is hollow with a hole in the bottom, I guess for tiny treats, but it seems to help make the ball more flexible. The rubbery feeling is very soft. edges are soft, opened out of the package and there was a pleasant clean and almost fruity smell. the balls are about the size of a softball and very lightweight. Bought this on clearance at a local petco. It's pretty neat! The puzzle inside makes them work just a little bit harder than other puzzle toys that you just have to knock over. The only reason this gets 4 and not 5 stars is because the rubber material on the outside is not good for dogs. My boyfriend and I were a little hesitant to get this as we have an American Pitbull Terrier who is a VERY strong chewer. I knew she would like it but the real question was how long would it last? So far so good. The size large or medium works for large breeds, since there are only those two sizes. For medium to smaller dogs the size medium would work. We got the large. My dog is 58 lbs and he can still fit it in his mouth. The rubber is good quality and doesn’t have toxic materials. I actually got the 8" one I believe. I had an old one that was 14" and it was great. I wanted a smaller one for my puppy, but it is very light weight and does not dribble well. I suppose it will hold up, but it is not made as well as my old one. It could even be a different company. I have had my big one for about 15 years. Our rescue is a border collie and australian cattle dog mix. She has always been very timid and we've never been able to find a toy she likes. We did notice however she spent all her free time trying to herd our other dog. We got her this and took to it immediately, she absolutely loves this. It is so wonderful to find a toy that she finally enjoys! And might save our other dog from constantly being herded. She herded it with her nose from the start rather than her teeth, so the issue of it getting sharp from chewing is not a problem for her.Alex
This is hands down our most coveted toy. Our dog Captain is a 100lb American Bulldog who destroys everything…but this! We found it at a pet store 4 years ago and fear the day it decides to fall apart. Anyone who knows our dog knows that RedBall (ours is red so we just cal it that haha) is LIFE. Nothing else matters. This is a great ball that can't go flat. My dog loves to roll it all over the yard. Only issue is the plug that made in the ball, he is able to chew where the plug is and now he can carry the ball around. What is the purpose of the plug? Can it be made without the inset plug? Otherwise, I think he could scrape the ball with his teeth but not actually chew into it to allow him to carry it.Amanda H.

It's a crap shoot, guessing which toys your dogs will like. There's 3 outcomes, the worst being that the dog looks at you like you just offered him another Moldy Turd. You were SUPPOSED to be The Bomb!!!; he was to take it from you reverently, keeping it with him everywhere he went for the next 12 slimy months. But the usual response from my dog, an aggressive chewer, is to have the toy returned to it's original molecular structure before I've had time to break down the packaging and he now wants to play Let's Kill Mommie! with the Home Essentials Direct box. I don't know why he likes it and I don't think there's anything particularly special about it's features – he just does. It's perfect for inside because it's soft and quiet. The rubber is a consistency similar to water soaked nerf; it's compressed when he's got it in his mouth. There are places where the surface is gouged, but he doesn't worry these areas like with other toys (leading to their quick demise). I think if I there were treats pushed inside he would simply rip the ball in half (he carries bricks around …. I guess just because he can……). I have no clue if your dog will like it or treat it respectfully. But for less than $5, it's worth a shot. This, for some reason, has made me a hero in my 70 lb Husky/Pit's eyes. Ninety-nine percent of the previous offerings were gleefully decimated and are now to my living room carpet as quartz to a beach.i.N.
Pibble and AST/pibble mix, boy and a girl, LOVE this ball! Keeps them busy, great for house play… not too heavy/bulky, easily bounces off floors, furniture, walls without leaving marks or dents. Should last quite awhile unless Princess Penny decides to make a chew toy out of it.Anonymous

My boy loves his ball. I got it from Amazon and could have found cheaper at the local petstore but I had a gift card so got it anyways. I love the jumbo size so that it can grow up with my pup. He loves it because he can play tug and fetch with this ball. Sometimes I even put his smaller balls inside the jumbo for extra fun or attach it to a flirt pole for some chasing.ilona.i

I have purchased two of these solely due to the fact that my corgi is obsessed with rolling this around and throwing it against the wall. I would say this is fairly priced and you can find it at a Marshall's or TJ Maxx for an even better price.
