It's a so-so PURCHASE for the price compared to the high-cost brands. The metal frame is light-weight and the canvas is medium-weight. The material sags slightly and my dogs are not flat when they lay on it. I purchased an extra large for a small/15 lbs and medium/40 lbs dog to share because they refuse separate anything and for space considerations. You'll need a large floor space, so you don't trip over frame corners in walk area. My dogs will not lay on it for extended time; they prefer the floor or their cheap dog pillows. I tried adding a soft, fluffy, over-sized blanket, but it didn't improve their use of the bed. The manufacturing quality of the bed is great! All parts were in perfect condition. That's a rare thing anymore, so I'd give them 5 stars on manufacturing. ASSEMBLY was a big pain. It took a lot of strategy to get the screws to drive in straight. DELIVERY was about 2 weeks using standard. The openings of the box were in bad shape upon delivery. Fortunately, the tape kept it from losing contents. This is a great bed for any pets. I used it on my dogs so they can lie elevated above the floor should they chose too. If you have a kenneled dog, this would be great for them. Gets them off the floor. Cooler in summer and warmer in winter. I have several other beds that are similar, but nowhere near as good a price as these. My sister saw mine and will be ordering some for her dogs. Really well made at a very good price. Very happy. It is possible for the dog to chew the corners, if they are VERY determined to do so, but for dogs that are not serious chewers, I would call this a chew resistant bed. Although it says small its bigger than the small travel cot from other makers. Its not too big or too small. Thats quite Okay with me and the cats. The mat portion is mesh all around, the frame is metal and comes with the single tool needed to screw it together. They can be used indoors or outdoors. I have another one in grey outside and its been fine through two summers and winters. Once put together its designed to stay together so i wouldn't say its a travel cot. I think did see a replacement mat available when i ordered this. I may go ahead and order the replacement mat portion for a few years down the road while its available because the cats love it so much it going to get a lot of wear. These beds are very unstable and my 3 dogs will not get on them at all. They just lie down next to them. I have tried everything to coax them onto these beds without success. Each one got on the beds once the day they arrived, the beds moved and wobbled, the dogs leaped off, and none has been willing to try again since. Now I have two folding beds that are essentially useless. Good concept, but the design definitely needs work. Perhaps if the folding mechanism had a lock of some sort to prevent it from folding up when a dog jumps on it would be more stable? I cannot recommend these.drlynn58

This portable bed folds out quick and flat in a second. It appears to be built very light and strong and does not sag onto the crossmember with my 65 lb Lab as one person complained. The feet are/must be a type off plastic and will slide on slick surfaces as one person complained and gave bad reviews…..duh, then get a small throw rug…..big deal. My dog is crazy for this bed. I have now purchased 3. One for my bedroom, living room and downstairs office. During the winter I put a quilt in them and the summer when it is warm I take them out. I have 3 regular beds for her that she will not use. She is just 1 year old and a 70 pound English cream retriever who loves to spend a great deal of back time and this cot is perfect. I purchased the first one and was moving it each night because she is crazy for this. We have had no problem with her chewing these or ripping them at all. They all look new yet. She also no longer wants her kennel because she wants her cot. After 6 months she no longer used her kennel, but we do leave her in my office and living room when we go and have had no problems. She is a huge chewer, but actually sleeps in her cot when we are gone. She is crazy when we get home, but I am so happy she is a good girl when we are gone. I believe this bed is perfect for my girl. Very well made, easily constructed, and exactly what our pup needed for these sultry summer months BUT I never looked at the dimensions, if they're listed, before ordering the XL. I expected it to fit a full size dog reasonably well but I couldn't stop laughing after I opened the box, unfurled the mat and commenced to building what is practically a twin sized bed frame (exaggeration but see pic) lol. I got the K&H Pet Products – K&H Elevated Cozy Cot Pet Bed and I couldn't be happier. My dog always wants to sit next to me or on me. Now he is in his little bed and I xan pet him, comfortably from my chair while watching TV. This os a perfect bed for a smaller dog or cat. My dog in the pictute is around 24 lb miniature poodle, he fits fine. I wouldn't recommend it for a much bigger dog. The bed has two textures. The gray is a strong smooth fabric very strong like canvas or denim. The light gray is soft and padded. It open up like a folding chair but, it locks into place so its very safe. And it isnt super high so a small dog can get in and out on his own. The bottom feels rubberized for water proofing. This bed works well inside and outside. I am pleased with and will be using it. I have several beds for my dog throughout my apartment at least one in every room, so he can sleep comfortably. I like this bed a lot since its easy to move and looks easy to clean. My dog is crazy for this bed. I have now purchased 3. One for my bedroom, living room and downstairs office. During the winter I put a quilt in them and the summer when it is warm I take them out. I have 3 regular beds for her that she will not use. She is just 1 year old and a 70 pound English cream retriever who loves to spend a great deal of back time and this cot is perfect. I purchased the first one and was moving it each night because she is crazy for this. We have had no problem with her chewing these or ripping them at all. They all look new yet. She also no longer wants her kennel because she wants her cot. After 6 months she no longer used her kennel, but we do leave her in my office and living room when we go and have had no problems. She is a huge chewer, but actually sleeps in her cot when we are gone. She is crazy when we get home, but I am so happy she is a good girl when we are gone. I believe this bed is perfect for my girl. We got a puppy. We wanted a place for her to lay down or rest out when we are outside. I read in another review this would probably be the size needed when their puppy is grown. It’s too big for our puppy now but she will grow into it. I am happy with my purchase. It’s was easy to setup. It seems durable. I like that it is breathable and seems very sturdy. The cot is made of very duarable materiel and metal legs. My dog is an Australian Cattle Dog, he is about 45 lbs. and the bed is perfect for his size. He always tears up beds so I thought a cot would be better and he can t tear this one apart cause it s made with quality durable materials. He hasn t really used it a lot but it is a quality product and he seems to like it when he does use it. He likes to lay on the cold tile floor cause it s hot now but, I m sure in the winter he will lay on it more. I would recommend this product for anyone look for a pet bed.
I ordered three new cots from Groupon and after two months all three cots the seams came apart. I have four dogs, two labs 85 lbs each, one goldendoodle 65 lbs, and a King Charles Cavalier (8 lbs). They love their cots. Each one has their own and the little dog shares with the labs. I bought the XL, I am extremely disappointed in the quality and would like a refund. I don t recommend buying.

I am so glad that we got to try this cot out! I have two dogs, a Jack Russell and a chow chow. My dogs did not want anything to do with this dog bed the first day and a half. But then we got the idea to put a fuzzy blanket on it and now both my dogs love it! I can’t blame them for wanting a blanket though, because it is winter in Minnesota currently! My plan for the summer is to put this dog bed outside so I am very excited about that! I think this will be my dogs new favorite spot to lay and look outside. I feel like I needed to only give 4 stars because I needed to add a blanket before my dogs were interested in it, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new dog bed/cot!
My dog loves this cot and I think it’s pretty great too, especially since she loves it. The only change I would recommend to the company though is for the stuffing in the bolster to be bagged so that the bolster cover could easily be washed. Helinox is an incredible brand. Their products really are the best engineered, highest quality products on the market. This is probably a 5 star item based on quality, but I was disappointed that the long poles don't break down, making this longer than any of my Helinox human cots, which makes packing a bit more complicated. I bought the elevated dog caught for our family dog because it gets extremely hot where we live and after a walk in the evening Roscoe is extremely hot and he’s desperately trying to find a way to cool down. So I purchased the cot in order for him to lay on it to have air flowing under him to cool. When I assembled it and put it in the family room, he immediately went and laid on it understanding that it was for him. It was humorous to see that he immediately personalized it by dragging his blankets onto it to give it his scent as well as him rolling around on it, once he figured out how to get comfortable on it it was nice to see that he used it regularly. It’s extremely well-made and the cot portion and durable aluminum legs are typical Helinox quality and I believe dog claws will have no effect on it. I also love that it can be taken apart easily and taken with you to go camping or other places where you need a way to elevate your dog to be off the hot ground or the cold ground. It is also very stable the way the feet are designed and at no point have I ever seen a tip over. I appreciate that Helinox also cares about our pets safety and comfort.James C.
