I have bought innumerable similar wire-panel pens over the years from Petco and other sellers, but I have never seen one made of such small-gauge wire. Once you or your dog pushes even a bit against a panel, it warps too easily. Then the gate is hard to line up to close. Also, better quality products have a long rod that can be removed to rearrange the panels and change the location of the gated piece. I love everything about this dog pen, except that one of the panels was missing the upper hinge. I did not want the hassle and wastefulness of returning the entire large and heavy item. I tried to see if I could just get a single replacement panel, but I don't know how to do that. I guess I will just keep it and only use 7 of the panels *Sigh* (If anyone can get a single panel replacement – please let me know!) The raised gate is perfect for not rubbing on the floor and scratching it up. the panels are not too heavy I could construct the pen easily. I love that there are different shapes that you can make with the panels, depending on your space available. My front yard is not completely fenced; There was a need to fence off, but not permanently as we use front yard for other purposes. Fences are flexible, can be set up in any figures as needed. The total time to assemble this kennel was about (1) hour (my husband put it together by himself). You will need something to cut the excess wire (the screws on the door need to be cut back before you can cap them off and the wires that connect the fence to the structure need to be twisted and trimmed to avoid injury).
