My only small issue is that because it is a belt style collar, you end up with 2 leather strips going through the D ring where the tags would normally attach and end up with very little room to attach the leash. I just slid on a separate steel O ring and problem solved but would be nice if another D ring could be attached maybe in the back of the collar dedicated for attaching a leash only, otherwise great collar. This collar looks beautiful and I was so excited when it came in the mail. However, it is not a product for my great dane. She has to be on a leash at all times when not in the house therefore after the first day this collar was stretched out. My husband put a new hole in collar and it only lasted another day before it was stretched out again. I ended up going back to my old collar that I could trust she wasn't going to get out of. Also all of the pink glitter coloring was wearing off. On the plus side the name plate turned out nice and it would be a nice collar to be used more for dress up for maybe a dog that doesn't need to be on a leash.
I bought the Royal Blue Metallic collar with Brass nameplate. It looked incredible when it arrived. The most striking dog collar I've ever seen. However – 2 weeks after putting it on him, and a lot of the metallic blue color has flaked off. He doesn't rub it against anything, in fact it's fairly protected by his fur. But after 2 weeks of use, it looks about 3-4 years old. It's still strong and functional, but it just looks bad. I would definitely NOT buy the metallic finish in the future. It's a shame, since they look so great before they get used for a little while.
This is the second time I have purchased this leather name plate collar. My first was the light pink and I loved that color. This time I purchaed the metallic purple and I am not a huge fan of the shiney material but it's still nice. I recommend skipping the metallic colors and sticking with the normal dyed leather options. This collar does stretch out if your dog is a puller. Also, the rivets of the name plate on my first one rusted and broke off so keep this collar away from water. In general I'm happy with this product even though the first one only lasted me a year.

I went back to the bass pro website to look at the picture the picture of the collar shows it has one but my collar did not. I love these dog collars! I ordered two (one for a pitbull and another for a miniature schnauzer). They are well made and super cute! The only reason I didn't give five stars is that the place where the leather is sewn on the back has a little lip that flipped over and rubbed the hair off of our pitbull's neck, despite not being tight. We were able to easily fix it by covering the area of the collar with athletic tape. I purchased this collar on Sept 20th and received it about a week and a half later, so I have had the collar for about a month. Initially I loved it, soft leather, bold name and the quick release was a plus, the sizing was off (the XL reads 21 inches plus but the smallest it goes is about 24 inches) I let the sizing go because it was cute and didn’t wana deal with a return. However now that a month has passed, the wear and tear on the item is horrible. For $30+ I expected something that would be of quality and I could keep on my dog for longer. The leather has stretched, the hardware has tarnished and his name on the leather has started to fade. Would not recommend for the price, it is cute but There are alternatives that will last longer than a month. I tried to leave photos but am unable to since my review is 2 stars.Diana A.
The shop owner sent me multiple mock ups so I could explore different color combinations, which was so helpful! My dog has always scratched at her colors, but she doesn’t mind this one because it’s thin and soft! My one critique would be that it loosens on its own, so I have to adjust the tightness a few times a week. Just something to keep an eye on, but hasn’t caused us any issues! Love it!Emily H.
