The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is that the sizing recommendation of the website is wrong. I ordered the large for my dog who has at 16.5 inch neck. It was way too big. I put it on her and left the house to return and find that she had removed the collar and chewed it up. Customer service was great and allowed me to exchange it for the medium size despite the damage. The collar itself is beautiful and of excellent quality. I got the havana/purple/brass for my german shorthair pointer and love it. I recommended it to a friend who bought two for her dogs and loves the collars as well.Carrie94

My dog is 50 lbs – a "true" medium but I thought based on measurements I should buy the large collar. Was too big and heavy on her but no problem to send back and order medium which fits really nicely. The large collar had been one with a nameplate but I didn't like it for my dog so medium collar is plain and I like it better. The red color of leather is beautiful. So far collar is holding up well.

I recently purchased this collar for my 84 lb. Golden Retriever. It is a beautiful collar. Loved the color and heavy duty leather and hardware. I ordered an 18 inch as they said the size was to the middle hole of five holes and I needed nineteen inches so that would put me in the fourth hole with one to spare. The collar measurements was a little more than a half inch off causing us to have to use the last hole, which was doable. But they said the collar was a inch wide and it was actually one and a quarter inches wide. This was a huge problem as I use slide on tags for my dogs and there was no way the tags would fit so I had to return the collar. Its a beautiful collar, but I like the slide on tags for safety and they don't make noise. I only gave three star because if the dimensions were marked correctly I wouldn't have had the expense of sending it back and then searching for another collar.LogCabinMG

I always frown when I read a complaint about the size of a product someone ordered without checking first and then complained about it later. LOL So I’m gonna reframe from doing that, instead I’ll just say… I wish it was 1/4” wider. Everything else about it is perfect. My dogs are both over 100lbs and they can tug pretty hard, but they probably prefer the narrower size for their comfort, so they’re happy and I’m sure it’s sturdy enough ‘as is’ because of the high quality leather that you use.
