I bought this toy for my little french bull dogs first birthday. Seeing it capabilities online I was immediately impressed and intrigued with self play and the balls ability to get out from under areas the dog might have trouble with since my girlfriend is in her studies from home and her work is constantly interrupted from our dog whining about a ball trapped under somewhere. This product seemed to be perfect. I ordered it. Within a week I see cheerble is now advertising a new version of the ball, felt like I missed out on a new improved design but was eager to see what the wicked ball W1 still had to offer. The ball showed up two weeks after and both my pet and I were excited. I got it out of the packaging read the manual and gave it to my French bull dog eager to play. She immediately took to it and could tell she was obsessed. This seemed all too good to be true. And it was…. In less than ten minutes our Frenchie had managed to get the clear plastic ring from the centre apart from the shell and dismantle the shell….maybe I should have got a replacement one but don't believe I should have to pay $10 to give my dog 10minutes of play… That is not sustainable living… Not for us anyways… Perhaps the new design is more durable but after spending $60+ for a ball after tax and shipping that couldn't withstand a 25lb pup I'm not to eager to dish it out again…. This ball was amazing at first. First day I used it my frenchie was obsessed however 10 mins in, I notice a piece was already broken off. Customer support was super nice and sent me a new shell with no problem, however when it arrived and I went to use it again, the shell wouldn’t close fully so it wouldn’t work. Like it was always lose fitting and after 10 seconds of playing, the shell was fully open. I got the shell to my apartment at school so by the time I was able to give it to my dog was about a month after I had received it so I never put in another request for a new one as I had no way to prove that it didn’t work since day 1. I’m hoping I was just unlucky as this was an amazing idea for a product that I loved when it did work, I’m just sad I spent so so much money for it to not work on me twice. Honestly, my dog is little (Yorkie) and initially she was afraid of the JW Hol-ee Roller! But that was short-lived. To get her going I found some treats just the right size and stuffed them in the holes. Well you know, anything to do with treats has to be good! That got "the ball rolling"! No pun intended. Now it is one of her favorite toys. It's great because she usually wants me to interact with her with her toys but this one she is content to play with herself. The way it is designed she can basically throw it in the air herself then chase after it. I no longer put treats in it. So far she hasn't been able to chew it up but if that should ever happen I hope they are still on the market because I will have to replace it. They would make great doggie gifts too. We have bought several of these over the years and in various sizes. They are so much fun for the dogs and with a little creativity you can use them for an endless number of games and configurations. They are durable and easily washable and can be played with outside, in the water at the beach or pool, or inside. We like to stuff treats and toys and chews inside. Sometimes we tie a rope and fling it around outside for the dog to chase after. We have tied pieces of fabric to make snuffle balls so the dogs have to work to get their kibble or treats out of it. We have stuffed smaller holee-rollers inside and other toys like tennis balls or stuffed squeaky toys. Sometimes we shove a cow ear or a thick piece of dried buffalo/beef cheek roll or other long lasting chew. There are so many ways to customize this simple rubber ball. We bought 2 sizes of this toy – the 5\" and the 8\". Both are great. Our dog is not a heavy chewer, nor a great retriever, but she loves to chase after this toy, catch it and run around with it. Because of the holes, it\'s easy for a dog to pick up. If she does come back to me with it, we play a bit of easy tug with it, though I\'m careful not to hold it too tightly as I read somewhere that someone broke their finger playing with it. I have two of these balls, one in each size. For my 60 lbs. pit bulls I would recommend the larger, unless you're using a high reward treat (like jerky as opposed to kibble). I serve at least some of my dog's meals in a ball and he chases it around for quite a while. The only downside is it is pretty noisy on the hardwood floors or tile. Also be sure nothing too fragile might get in the way. He accidentally broke a vase that he ran into while chasing the ball across the living room. It's probably my dog's favorite solo activity. Our Chihauhua gets bored when we're gone during the day, and when he gets bored, he eats carpet. We had a few food toys, and they worked great, but he was getting bored with them and he had figured out all of them, so we purchased two more to help keep him busy. We purchased the medium IQ ball, and he LOVES it. We have carpeting, and the first day we played with it with him when we were home and he caught on very quickly. We have to put his dog food, and small treats in there for him. If we place just the regular food, he isn't interested. The first hole is settable in size, and brings the food into that clear colored area where they have to then push it out a second, non-size changeable hole. That said, he still loved it and since the first hole can be made smaller, it's still challenging enough for him. It's working great and we aren't even on the hardest setting yet after two months. Our Chihuahua is 10lbs lean, so it's great for a dog his size. I would have given this product a 5 star if I had known there wasn't a puzzle when I purchased it. This is such a good toy for pets to be entertained with, especially since you can adjust how hard you want to make it for your pet! I got it for my pet mini pig so he had something to do and he loves it! Also my two dogs love to roll it around with my pig for hours. I've been putting Cheerios in it which works pretty well except I put it on the hard level and the Cheerios are still somewhat easy to still get out but once I change the level to the hardest there is absolutely no way for them to get through. So wishers was more of a between level for it but either way it's doing its purpose and keeping my pets entertained.

Our dog loves treats and enjoys getting them out of treat holders. However, he has mastered most of the ones in stores already. This one was great. There are 2 versions. 1 has a long nylon bone with 3 treat pods around it. The other is a rope with 3 treat pods around it. You put a tiny treat in one or all pods and let him at it. He will spend at least 20 minutes on this toy and has not destroyed it, like he has many of the other treat holders. I am getting this for a friend's dog. I only wish they came in Extra Small, so I could get one for another friend's pocket Pomeranian.
Durability: 4/10, the plastic is hard but it still seems to indent fairly easily and will probably not last more than 6 months and my dog is not a vigorous chewer. Feeding mechanism: 6/10, it is great in that it rolls really easily across the floor, hardwood or carpet, and is easy for the dog to pick up and push around, but if the treats are kibble size they fall out really easily. I put milkbones in with dog food to make the small pieces fall out less easily. The volume is decent, it holds about 1 1/4 C dog food total, I have a large breed dog and it doesn't hold his entire breakfast. I use the toy to distract him when I leave for work in the morning. I brought three of these.–one for my older girl, and one for the two puppies. They are all bullmastiffs. The puppies were about thee months old when these were purchased. I filled them with broken in half milk bone flavor treats. They had them in the back yard. The babies didn't quite get the idea, but my older girl pretty much emptied hers. It rained overnight, and the combination of rain and saliva made the treats inside soggy. It was hard, couldn't even get them open, because they were pretty much chewed shut. I did get the bones out of the drop holes (gross!). Getting the residue of the saliva was tough through the side holes. My dog loves it. I sometimes put his entire meal in it or a dollop of peanut butter with a few pieces of kibble. Keeps him busy for hours. I also kick it around with him, it rolls well. I’ve had it for almost a year and my destructive 75 lbs Belgian malinois hasn’t killed it yet. Walmart has the BEST PRICE. Amazon has it for almost triple the price.F
I bought this as a way to save money on treats given to my dog when I leave for work. Using the tricky treat ball I can extend the time she can play after I leave and distract her from her separation anxiety. I pack with her regular food and then seal the hole with peanut butter. She gets about half an hour of play out of one filling rather then 5 minutes with a dentastick. This toy is super simple and the price is amazing. I just bought one for my daughter's puppy and she started to play with it right away even without any treats in it. Super durable. I would always have one for my dog.rodentmama
This was a great find. Treats/rewards go in and it keeps our dog busy for hours. Just ensure that treats aren't too big going in that they cannot come out. The product seems rather durable as our pup has not destroyed it yet. Soft enough to not harm any teeth or gums as well. Just an amazing toy for your little family members. I got a red, blue, and a green. The rubbery feeling is very soft. edges are soft, opened out of the package and there was a pleasant clean and almost fruity smell. the balls are about the size of a softball and very lightweight. They were bought for my dogs initially, but they are PERFECT for little kids. The balls have a nice bounce and are very "springy". What makes them perfect, is they kind of "crush" when thrown against hard surfaces. They "crush" and spring back making them bounce. No broken glass or damaged cars with these! My kids throw them all over, the bright color makes them easy to find. the one ball that did get into the paws of the dogs is still intact and they tear apart almost everything.vi-patt

I bought these for my medium sized lab/shepherd puppy. Within 2 or 3 minutes, while I was watching him to make sure he didn't tear the ball up, he bit straight through the ball and ripped part of the orange coating off. His teeth went through it so fast that I couldn't stop him. I thought maybe it was just a bad one, so I tried playing fetch with him later with a second one and the same thing happened just from throwing it and having him retrieve it. I wanted to like these, but I think you're better off with regular tennis balls from the sporting goods department. They seem a lot tougher than these.HoosierMama12

We just got back from vacation and we bought three of these toys for our 3 Standard Poodles. All 3 went nuts when they saw them. There are two things our dog loves: playing and balls. And he was so surprised to see that his Wicked Ball SE was asking to play with him! So now, every time we give him the ball, it’s a delight to see him so happy and having a good time. He already had a standard Wicked Ball, but it was too heavy and big for his size (Welsh Corgi), now he can easily hold the Wicked Ball SE in his mouth and carry it around the house! One thing to keep in mind, as our dog likes to tear things apart, he sometimes manages to get the motor part to rotate inside the rubber outer shell, so, as the user manual states, we always keep an distant eye on him when he plays, and when he does get the motor to rotate, it’s fairly easy to get it back in its spot. We’re so happy to see our dog enjoy his new ball so much, so kudos to Cheerble to have come up with a new version of this product, it really is suited to smaller dogs 😉Charles
We already had an old cheerble but my dog destroyed it pretty quickly with his strong jaw. We weren't able to open it anymore to charge it so it didn't last long. The new SE model is way better for my basset hound. The size is more convenient for him, he loves chasing it and throwing it away, that's really fun to watch. Usually, he's not much of a player but this one keep him busy for a while. The material seems stronger as he hasn't broke it already (even though he manage to turn the inside somehow so not sure how it will age). We'll see how long it last this time. My miniature dachshund loved the ball, but as he does with all balls, he's not interested in chasing or letting it roll around. He pins it down and likes to chew on it- he absolutely adores rubber. He likes to try and pick at bits that give purchase and whilst the ball itself only received surface dents from his teeth, he actually succeeded in spinning the plastic around inside the rubber… How, I'm not sure, but it's now an egg with a gap where the plastic normally fills. Maybe I can try and re-spin it to make it usable again, but unfortunately as much as he loves it, it's not something I can leave him alone with. Heavily dependant on your dog's breed and fixation patterns. Alas, not suitable for mine, I think. Great product and a great idea otherwise, but I'd be interested to hear which dogs just let it roll around!John S.
