I am trying to train my 40 pound dog to love toys, and this has definitely helped. This is definitely too small for her, but the hole is much too narrow for her jaw so I never have to worry about her jaw getting stuck in it or anything, she just rolls it around and licks it. I put her kibble in it and let her go at it. The thing to know is that this is fairly small and hard like a bone, rather than rubber like a Kong. Therefore, my dog doesn't really use it as a chew as she prefers something softer. 4 stars because I wish it were a tough rubber material. In any case, when I say peanut she runs over and is so excited to roll it around and get part of her meal out. Also the peanut is cute. I have a 15 pound dog- it has been impossible to find the perfect size ball. This one is just a bit too small – others have been too big,so at least this is something we can use. Having said that, my dog doesn't play with it much. He seems to prefer hollow balls (I had a great one from Kong, but you can't get their small balls anymore. It's a good ball though. My small dogs (12 and 19 lbs) really seem to like these small balls by playology. They fit in their mouths easily and they seem to like the fact that they can also squeak them. They are easy for them to "catch on a bounce" because of the size. Words alone cannot describe my complete satisfaction with the purchase of the Nylabone Chews. I purchased 2 of them and, after only a couple of weeks of use, have noticed some amazing life changing effects of which I'm certain will be everlasting. I have a frenchie that is an incredibly destructive chewer that will rip through any “tough” plush toy in less than 30 minutes. It’s hard to find non-plush toys that will keep his interest though, but this one is incredible. My dog does a cute pounce when she starts to go after something she likes and for the past week she's done her pounce repeatedly. She absolutely loves this toy! She keeps trying to take it outside so she can bury it … when she gets super excited about a toy she takes it outside and buries it and digs it up within the next 30 minutes. Most things made for even aggressive chewers don't hold up or they're uninteresting hard plastic. This is a well thought out dog toy. It has a slightly larger end that makes it easy for a dog to hold in their paws and it has a texture that provides a partial resistance to chewing. My dog is rewarded with hours and hours of chewing on one of these before it is chewed away. The package says it has a bacon flavor. I can't smell it, but I have to assume my dog likely both smells and tastes it. Out of quite a few toys, this is one of her go-tos. I get her a new one about every three weeks. I’ve had this toy for about a week now and my 14 week old Golden Retriever pup has loved it since I brought it home. She chews it and squeaks it and loves to play fetch with it although it doesn’t really bounce or give at all when you throw it. I will say the smell is pretty bad. I wish I could tell you why, but, this bone has been through five dogs (my personal dog, and four service dogs in training I fostered) over the last four years, and not a single one of them has liked this bone. I’m not sure if it’s the flavor, or what. But it was not the cheapest Nylabone, either, so it’s a bit disappointing that none of them had any interest in it. My sister bought 3 of these for my dogs in Dec.2018. One dog set to work on it and broke it quickly, so we put them away. Although I think this looks more like a squirrel than a chipmunk, I have to say these toys are the best. They actually last with my dogs. The ones they do tear apart to get the squeaker still are solid enough toys that my girl Twizzler still loves to play fetch with. She has probably 15 toys around the house and this is her go-to. I will always have Fluff & Tuff toys around the house. Well worth the money!

My dog goes through most large ropes in 15 mins. The large version of this lasted over a month before it started to come apart and was probably good for 2 months. Playology stuff has been hit or miss for us. One toy lasts a long time, the next is shredded within hours. This one was more on the latter side. Both of the dogs were interested in chewing on it, but within a couple days, I found bits of rubber scattered around their beds. I put these into my dog's Kong ball and Kong bone and he loves them!
