My dog's name is Sabbath. She's an eight year old Rottweiler, that wandered into a church parking lot, on a Sunday, more than six years ago. The congregation named her Sabbath and fed and watered her for weeks, before finding a foster mom, who later found me! She was young, but already had puppies and had only one eye! She's been my heart and soul for six years. I refer to her as 'The Holy Rottweiler'! Anyway, last year, she developed eyelid tumors and was in a cone for a month. Four days after removing the cone, she came down with Addison's disease, (a disease of the adrenal gland). She almost died! These last couple of months, I noticed her back legs and hips, beginning to weaken. She was wobbly and had difficulty getting up and so forth. Hip dysplasia is common with Rotties. Just recently, her cortisol levels dropped and her medication had to be increased but that was not the only malady that presented! Her hips and back legs, just finally gave way! She would have to drag herself to the back door, with her front paws. She couldn't stand!! So, after a consultation with the vet, I decided to start giving her glucosamine. I did my research of all the 'mainstream' brands for humans, anyway, much to my dismay, were products of China! I found it ironic that I would be giving my dog a supplement, from a country, that routinely eats them for dinner!
I went to Walmart and settled on VetQ. It was reasonably priced and my baby girl loves them!
Now, somehow, in ten days, she has gone from dragging herself by her front paws, to a little while ago, in the back yard, to flipping on her back, feet high in the air and wiggling back and forth at a fast pace!
I can't say you will have the same experience or that your dog will respond this fast but I would like to think it was the VetQ. If you could have seen her ten days ago, you too would think it is a miracle drug!

I have an 8 pound 9 year old long hair Chihuahua mix she is highly allergic to… well it feels like everything! But in reality she suffers from a lot of allergies we think she may even be allergic to freshly cut grass she has allergies to chicken and beef which gives her ear infections. Also flea and tick control medicine that she takes orally causes her skin to break out with big scabs and she pulls her hair out for the full 30 days with big hot spots,, then when it is dissolves out of her system she's back to being her normal relaxed self. needless to say after a lot of agonizing experiences and a ton of money I hope this review will help someone out there experiencing these frustrations and heartaches. since she was five years old we have tried to stay on a certain food that is made in Canada that we order online called Performatrin Ultra of course minus all chicken and beef. And we only use VetIQ maximum strength hip and Joint chews, because she is a small dog we kept her a half one every other day so a 90 count last us for half a year if not longer if she's really having trouble with Movement we will give her a whole one every other day. We order Ours from Amazon and they've always come fresh and she tolerates it well she loves the flavor looks forward to her treats. And we only give her Frontline Flea and Tick drops which she tolerates very well. She takes this maximum strength hip and joint treat for movement. Since giving her this she's like a puppy again she may need help getting up on the couch sometimes but for the most part she can get up the stairs like a puppy and the heartworm medicine she does well with is called Inceptor you get from a vet. And the only treats for her teeth, she likes are Dentallife by Purina the spongy ones.. If your on the fence, I would recommend trying VetIQ maximum strength hip and Joint chews, Especially if your dog has allergies and or skin issues like my dog has! I wouldn't recommend any of the other hip and Joint movement because I've tried them and there's a lot of them out there! These chews, which are very hard, and not soft as labelled on the packaging, have the worst smell. My dog doesn't want anything to do with them unless I put them in Leberwurst. The taste must also be horrible. My dog will push them away without anything added to them. The ingredients may be good, but the way they taste and smell definitely needs to be improved. The company also should change their packaging label as the info is misleading and incorrect. The chews are HARD and not soft as printed on the packaging. I really don't recommend these.Natti

My rescue lab/boxer mix started limping out of the blue one day 2 years ago when he was 3 years old. Took him to the vet and was told he had torn ligaments in both back legs and would probably need surgery in the future. As per a friend's recommendation, I purchased Cosequin DS Chewables for him and in about a month, no more limping. I now have him on the maintenance of 2 chewables a day. I am so thankful for this product! Our 6 month old puppy got hurt at the dog park- shoulder injury that was not pretty. We were on several rounds of meds that made him pee and not himself, went to a specialist, and she recommended prescription meds and cosequin. We have seen a world of difference. His shoulder was visibly atrophied prior to starting cosequin and meds, and now 3 months later, we are going for short runs, mile + walks, and have recently dropped the prescription med. He is happier and healthier, and I have my pup back! I can't recommend this enough! My only complaint was an adjustment period with digestion… he has a sensitive stomach so we had to skip the initial period and build up from a half a pill (he's 50 lbs for reference). This has help out my Scottish Terrier, I don't know what would have happened without it. She developed a bad hip and knee. She would frequently only walk on three legs and welp in pain when I try to touch her hip. The vet recommended some other pills which didn't do anything and I couldn't keep her on pain medication. Surgery was not a great option as it wouldn't have a high success rate due to recovery. It was very depressing. I ordered these pills and they helped only a little at first but not enough. Finally I gave her a pill a day at once instead of splitting in half(which is recommended according to weight), so she still gets one a day. This has help and she hasn't limped in months. Dasuquin is a joint supplement for cats. My cat Charlie is 11 years old, so I thought it would be helpful. I first asked my veterinarian, and she recommended this supplement for my middle-aged cat, which reassured me that it is safe for my precious pet to ingest. It’s really tough to get a cat to swallow a pill, so I was relieved that this product comes in a capsule that you pull apart and sprinkle over food. I mixed it in her cat food a little, and Charlie ate it so the taste wasn’t put off. The thing is it’s hard to tell if the joint supplement is working or not after only a couple of weeks. Charlie doesn’t have any problems with her joints yet; she jumps all over the place – nothing is too high for her to reach. However, it’s probably a good thing to start her on the supplements now to keep her limber as she is in her 60’s in cat years. The supplement is basically glucosamine and chondroitin, which people take for themselves. There are 84 capsules in the container, and at one a day (for a smaller cat) it’s almost a 3 month supply.Espo24
I decided to try the Nutramax Dasuquin Joint Health Cat Supplement because we have one cat that is 18 and another one 10-year cat that seems to have a hip issue – aka – arthritis. She is overweight and limps so between the two of them, I thought we would try this to see if it would help them. One thing I like about these is that I don’t have to try to get either cat to swallow the capsule! Our 18-year-old has to already take a pill a day so the idea of being able to sprinkle in their food was very appealing! I was afraid, however, that our oldest would detect it and not eat her food – nope! Thankfully that was not the case. I’m not going to test the supplement personally to check if it really is tasteless, but with the 18-year-old, we’ve tried crushing her pill up in her food and even dissolving it in cream or ice cream – she must be able to smell it because she won’t eat or drink whatever we try to hide her medicine in. The two factors that I liked most about the product, was being able to try it for free and that each dose was premeasured and came in easy to use capsules. No inadequate cutting, crushing or measuring was involved. I have an indoor elderly cat who has been feral since he was a kitten. He uses steps to get on one of his favorite beds. I also have a sick kitty who I believe is under six months and is getting over a cold and an eye inflammation. The other kitties are between two and four years old. When I first put Dasuquin out, I emptied the contents of one to two capsules on each of the five bowls of cat food and one without it. For the bowls containing the powder, these were mixed in with their dry cat food. I noticed that the cats did not eat as much that first day. The second day they ate more, but more times than not, they were all lined up waiting to eat from the bowl without the supplement. The elderly cat may have eaten a little Dasuquin before rejecting it, but on both days he was crying at his food bowl, and as he was walking away. So on the third day I only put out one bowl with the Dasuquin mixed with cat food, and the other bowls only had the cat food. One two year old, was still occasionally eating the Dasuquin coated food, but the others ate only from the bowls that didn't have it. Unfortunately, the elderly cat, the one I wanted to eat the supplement, did not eat it after that first day. Now it is the fourth day, but I have no proof that the Dasuquin is helping. I love the product – your packaging – AGAIN – is HORRIBLE. I ordered two of these and one arrived opened and about ten left in the the bottom of the container. The other container was in tack! So one container completely distroyed. Other items in the box were broken open: The box of Cat Food – 30 box count. Totally broken apart and all the cans were all about the box. And many dented! The shipping box itself had obviously been broken and arrived in super bad condition and a lot extra tape. The box was a mess and was part of the delay in its delivery! I have complained about your packaging practices many times before…. Seldom with any evidence that some one cares. Boxes still come beat up, destroyed, contents thrown about and dented. AND way too heavy! I will be 80 next week! Those are heavy boxes for me (or anyone!!)…..I have to take the box apart a the gate and bring items into the house. I am so thrilled with the results of this product. I contacted the manufacturer, who confirmed that the formula is the same as their cat joint relief product; the dosage and texture is just different between the two. So I buy this for my 2 cats and 1 dog to avoid having to buy two different products that are essentially the same thing. I crumble 1 treat into my senior cats' wet food each day and give 2 daily to my young dog for preventative purposes. Before starting on these, both of my cats had showed some natural decline in mobility, and one of them had torn his ACL tear when attempting a high jump. After just a few days of these treats, both cats showed greater mobility, and the one with the ACL injury was jumping again after a little over a week. After several weeks, he's moving like the young, athletic cat he used to be. Most importantly, nobody seems to be in any discomfort anymore. … I will just say, though, that this new advanced formula with collagen is much stiffer/denser than the regular formula without collagen, so crumbling the treats can be a little bit of a pain. I have a brave little mini doxie that would take on the meanest badger, but hates storms or loud bangs of any kind. If you are reading this you know what I mean, pawing, panting, whining, she stands on top of me during the night and puts her face in mine like…make it stop! My 5 year old Goldendoodle was diagnosed with Arthritis in both front legs. Vet recommended doing a series of shot, which sounded painful. Did some research and found these pills. I didn't notice them heping her and I was tired of trying to trick her. Since they are like a treat, I thought she might actually eat them. The first day she I wasn't sure if she was going to actually eat it, but after the first one she decided she liked them. My rescue lab/boxer mix started limping out of the blue one day 2 years ago when he was 3 years old. I started using Connectin for my 13-year-old pitbull approximately a month ago giving her 2 a day. She had been struggling with stairs for at least a year coming up one at a time very slowly and taking breaks in between steps. I give 2 chews every day to my 10 year old girl after her walk as a "treat". She loves them, but more importantly, I've noticed a difference in how she climbs stairs. She had been crying at the bottom of the cellar stairs lately, frightened to make the climb. I'd watch her put one foot on the bottom step and then back away. We had to coax her to come up and she eventually would, but it was a struggle. She may have been sore due to age and afraid to put pressure on her legs. I have been giving my dog (a 12-year old golden retriever) the Zesty Paws Dog Vet Strength Mobility every day for at least several weeks now.
