I agree that my dog, a lab hates the flavor and was seeking out the pill and spitting it out until I tried baby food turkey and chicken in the little jars. I use a baby spoon and bury the pill in the meat. She gobbles it up and does even notice even the pill. We do it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. I read some other reviews on how people are getting their dog to take the pill and I laughed because it's what I do also! Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. That too has resolved which makes me believe his liver is on the mend.Yvonne

Good quality for an excellent price. This is very well constructed and is surprisingly easily handled by one person. The entire pen is secured with two included hooks and then can be configured to any shape necessary. This size should provide adequate space for small dogs to enjoy for quite play. The height of this particular size may be overkill for small dogs unless they are agile jumpers. I ordered this for my greyhound for leisurely sunning without needing a leash. The height is adequate but the interior space is just enough for her outdoor bed and her body. I will order another two to provide more area for investigating the outdoors next spring.Sharon

I use these pens for my angora rabbits. They are a larger breed and some of them will jump over the other pens with little effort. I really like the door and the child proof hook. It's tall and sturdy and has enough stakes for every section. I bought it when the price came down and loved it so much that I bought two more! I like Midwest products as the metal seems to be stronger and last longer than other brands. I have the original ex-pen I bought around 1995 – it's survived 50+ large dogs. I prefer them to crates as the dogs have more room to move around, yet they are easily configured to a smaller shape when potty training. They easier to clean than crates. They fold flat and I can store them next to a fridge or behind a furnace. They work indoors/out and are great mobile containment. For dogs living in fenceless areas (condos) ex-pens can be linked using carabiners/bolt snaps (i.e., dog leash clips) for fencing moveable for mowing/snow removal. They are great for patio surrounds. You can buy metal tops for if a dog needs more containment, but most won't if using a tall enough ex-pen. I've also bought just the metal or plastic crate pans to put under the ex-pen if needed. To keep the ex-pen from falling or being moved if I have a rambunctious pup I bungee the corners to furniture or door knobs.HannahB

My active Doberman is recovering from a spinal injury and needs to be confined. This pen is perfect. The quality is top-notch, with plenty of clear and illustrated instructions that are really not even necessary as it's so simple to set up. My one and only quibble is that the box opened nearly the full length of the side during shipping. I think the packing tape gave way. All parts were intact and nothing was damaged so just FYI. I'm now going to buy another one of these for the back yard. I was going to transport this one in and out rather than spend the money since it's (I'm hoping) not a life-long need, but while it's so easy to fold and move, it is pretty heavyweight (42") so it'd be a bit of a chore for me to do often. She's never been a jumper, especially not now, and I don't leave her alone outside so I could easily go with a lower height that's less expensive and more portable (keep in the shade) for the yard.jacy

I ordered several of these to use as barriers to prevent my young Border Collie from running through the mud in our back yard after it rains. I set them up just off the patio several feet to allow him some space in the grass without giving him free reign of the whole yard to run through. They are very easy to set up, take down, and store! The quality is excellent – the panels are very sturdy, the clips are easy to use, and the pins to anchor them in the ground are a great length and weight. I could not be happier with this purchase! This has been the best pfd for our Catahoula Leopard. It has survived a full summer of kayaking, swimming, and running through the tall grass and brush along the shoreline…and it still looks and works like it did the first time we put it on her. There is a ‚ÄúD‚Äù ring to attach a leash on the top so there is no need for a harness. The top handle is very thick and is incredibly useful if you need to pull your dog out of the water without fear of hurting or causing your dog discomfort. It was and still is easy to adjust to fit her frame (barrel chest- like a pit bull) and narrow waist. The instructional video for fitting the pfd to your dog provided by Ruffwear was a HUGE bonus. When our dog doesn‚Äôt wear the pfd she only goes into the water where her feet touch. When she is wearing the pfd, she automatically transitions to paddling in deeper water because her head is always above the water. This is a wonderful hoodie and indeed is very soft inside. My Kaya loves it so much that she wants to wear it to sleep at night. I like a number of things about it, with the softness being one, it washes very well (a very small amount of shrinkage, but not enough that it won't still fit well), love the leash hole on the back, and it covers her well in cold weather. I purchased a size Xlarge for my poodle (12" neck, 13" back length, 18" chest) because I wanted a 'generous' fit. She wears it over her snowsuits when it is very cold (zero and below) and wears it on it's own above 35 degrees or so. I ordered a framed chi and when received I was really pleased. So colorful and looked just like me short haired chi. I liked it so much I searched the website again to find more canvas pop art to deplict my other 3 dogs. I got the Pom which favors my long haired chi and the savvy lab that really favors my lab mix and the Dalmatian that favors my other lab mix. Was trying to find a pop art for my whippit/lab mix and the Dalmatian came the closest. They are hanging in a group setting in my home office. After people saw mine two of them ordered from you. I had a Large PetSafe Dog Door in my previous home. I loved the panel that came with it that would "slide-in" and allowed the door to be "locked". When I purchased my new home, a new dog door was on the top of my to do list. I went to the store to purchase one. I notice the x-large door was cheaper than the large door (I thought it was on sale or what not) so I opted for the larger door. When it was time to install the door (my brother installed it for me), I came home to notice that the Panel did not slide in and lock like my previous dog door, instead it just "pops" on. From the outside of the door it would take very little effort for someone to "pop" the panel off. And in fact, from inside…my dogs have mastered "popping" it off themselves…making the panel absolutely useless. I've now done some research and noticed there are two types of PetSafe dog doors…aluminum and plastic. Apparently the aluminum door is what I had previously with the "sliding" panel…and now I am the disappointed owner of the plastic door with the "popping" panel. Had I known there was a difference in doors…I would have opted for a Large Aluminum PetSafe dog door; however, now I'm stuck with a useless X-Large Plastic PetSafe dog door. Now because there is an X-Large hole cut out of my door, I would have to go with an X-Large Aluminum PetSafe dog door, but I cannot afford to spend that kind of money, and a Large Aluminum Petsafe dog door will not fit the space. If I were rich, I could just buy a new door and a new dog door, and problem solved; however, I am not rich, and even the thought of having to buy another dog door when I've already purchased one is making me very upset, but the Panel for the Plastic Door is truly useless…and the Panel component is extremely important in my situation. The Plastic Dog Door itself is a good dog door…I only have a problem with its "popping" Panel. If the Panel is an Important feature for you as well…please go with the Aluminum door, NOT the Plastic door. I sure wish I had known about the difference in the first place!Kari

Just order our 3rd doggie door. Our first door was installed when we first moved in almost 17 years ago. We had a two small dogs so the cat size was perfect. As they aged we needed to replace the dog door size to make it a bit easier for the now old dogs to use. Also the house door was changed so we wanted a new dog door for appearences. Now our replacement door flap doesn't fit as air tight and we have lost a bit of the plastic on the out side frame. These things are due to LOTS of use and NJ weather. Hot summers and Freezing winters. Plastic really gets tortured. Ours was installed by the men installing the storm door so that was a plus for us. I called in to get a price on a new door and Pam in customer service was able to answer all my questions and provide me with just what I needed. Thank You Pam. My new door should be here with in the week ready for our Jack Russell pup and silly grandchildren that think its a hoot to come in thru the doggie door. This is a good product-needs to be installed properly like another item in your home that gets this much use. If that is done and you inspect it when cleaning it you should have years of use. And this really needs to be internal pet door for those questioning which one to buy. The PlexiDor is a well made item that in my opinion is worth the price. The fit and finish on the unit is excellent and it even has the person's name on it who made it. That's a pretty good sign they take pride in their work. Installation took longer than expected but that was due to my own lack of skill and not having the right tools. It only took one trip to Home Depot to get what I needed. I am really surprised by how airtight it is. The doors close tightly and I feel very little air leakage from it. I have it installed in a basement door at the bottom of stairs and even though a lot of cold air collects in this area the PlexiDor manages to seal well. I had a looked at doors and was hesitant to get one only because I was afraid of the heat loss. This is a great product and I'm sorry I didn't buy it sooner.DiVo

Pros: Very sturdy, unique design, much more attractive than traditional dog doors. Worked great for a basement door down steps because required less clearance for the saloon doors than traditional flap style. Love the security plate on rails. Cons: Price, Hard to install in older door. Best for newer smooth bottomed doors- took some work to install in an old (thinner than 1 3/4 inch) door with panels. Required building a frame around it on both sides but now that it is in looks great!Katherine R.

This is probably the best money I have ever spent. I live in GA where it gets HOT in the summer but this is insulated so well and there are no drafts in the winter. My 2 50ish lb dogs burst through this many times each day and it is indestructible. I don't have to play doorman anymore! I had one issue with the lock and they sent me a new lock mechanism right away, but I was able to fix it in about 15 minutes without needing to replace the whole lock anyway. Word to the wise, do not caulk the door on the inside so that you can remove it if/when you need to change the lock. Also, they sell a track system to add on that allows you to slide the security plate on daily/nightly (instead of screwing it on), which is super convenient and a great design.Jennifer R.

The crate had obviously been used and returned. The metal was rusted in places and the plastic bottom tray was dirty. When I decided to return it, It was a challenge to get it back in the box. When I took it back to the store, I asked about a discount and received 15% off (the tax). I had previously bought one that was marked down by 50% because the box was damaged. I was quite disappointed in the whole experience. Apparently the merchandise was supposed to be checked if the box was damaged and that wasn’t done in this case.Janice

I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. I bent it slightly and it works much better. I haven't had that issue with any of the previous MidWest crates I've used. I'm a MidWest crate fan.Eddie09

He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself! I wish I could share photos of how bent up this crate is and the cracked floor liner. IWifeMomLove

My dog was a bit afraid of things like skateboards and public transport and also didn't want to go with any dog sitter I brought to her. A dog trainer recommended this collar to help reduce her anxiety. Soon after putting it on my dog refused to leave my apartment to go for walks. It got worse during the next few days. The dog trainer told me to remove it and some calming pills for now because maybe there was some intolerance. I slowly got my happy dog back. This week we tried again, just the collar this time, no pills. Today was day 3 and I removed the collar and threw it in the trash. My dog over the last 3 days showed so much anxiety that I was unable to get her outside at all today. Any noise outside made her hide. And she barked for the first time since she is with me.Silke

I adopted a very nervous and scared adult dog who constantly scratched and bit herself. I took her to the vet who declared her physically healthy and recommended calming dog biscuits or Benadryl on days she was especially nervous. There was little improvement I saw comments on rescue dog social media sites about using Adaptil as an alternative to what I had been doing. I tried Adaptil and within less than a week I saw a marked difference. She is calmer now, no habitual scratching or biting, settles down peacefully during naps, and is a much happier dog. I will continue to use Adaptil for as long as she needs it as a safe and constant alterative method of keeping her on pills or calming chews. I recommend this to anyone who has a constantly nervous dog.winwinlla

My dog is anxious about trailers and other dogs on our walks. Worked very well for 2 weeks then lost its potency. It is very expensive for only lasting 2 weeks. I have bought the spray and apply it to the dog's harness prior to our walk and it works very well. This will be a better option for me and far cheaperNicky
