I got each of my pit mixes one of these collars because they had to have a snap on (as opposed to a buckle) collar for doggie daycare. These collars are very soft and seem like they would be more comfortable than nylon collars which are tougher. However, that being said – I wouldn't recommend these collars for big dogs who pull on the leash. My dogs use harnesses so this isn't an issue, but they don't seem very strong at all. We love ruffwear! Have been using their products for 5 years already, love the designs and materials they use but mann what’s going on with the stitching ?? It sucks when the stitching starts coming loose within days/weeks of use, i got two dogs and it feels like you got a 50-50 chance that you will get a product with defective stitching, Got two collars, the “ruffwear” tag started coming loose within a few weeks of use on one of those. Got two leashes, the buckle to use around the waist broke in two days!! On one of those, the other one is still good, Got two fernie jackets, the stitching around the neck started coming loose within ONE wash on one of those, so you get the point… luckily i know how to sew and I’m able to repair the items, but it sucks to spend top dollar on dog gear only to last in good condition for a few days or weeks.Gabriela

For the number of tags I need to have on my dog, separate attachment points for tags and leash are a must. Everything on one ring would be a difficult mess. My Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy is growing quickly, and making small size adjustments a couple times each week is no problem. Once set, it stays set no matter how hard he pulls, no matter if the collar is dry or wet. The webbing hardly absorbs odors, and a quick wash and air dry gets rid of what little there was. My only regret is that my rough-and-tumble beast of a puppy will outgrow his medium collar in another month. I was skeptical on this at first and was worried that my dog might pull and break the clasp, but I really wanted something that was more adjustable than a typical buckle collar can provide. Leashes and collars are high quality and put together really well. We bought the ECO line, and I wondered how soft and pliable they would be. They are better than anything I've ever bought. The clasps and hooks are easy to work which is important with my arthritic hands. I do have a leash chewer, but so far I haven't had to try the guarantee. Showed them to our Agility instructor and she was impressed. I will order more come puppy time.

It seems to work well against ticks but the handling is rather difficult. Really hard to close it and then it cannot be taken off anymore (e.g. for a bath or simply comfort) without breaking it. I very much preferred the other tick collars WnP had, pity they do not sell them anymore.Jochen K.
First, the great: I love the way this collar smells. My husband is extremely sensitive to smells so most of the tick collars have been too strong for him. This cedarwood/ peppermint combo is lovely and not strong-smelling. The good: getting the collar put together was a little tough. The first stop is difficult to get past, but then it’s fine. The not great: I have still gotten a few ticks off of my golden retriever. I still feel this is better than if she didn’t have anything on. Thanks for making a product that is so wonderful.Kate D.
This collar does smell great. We also haven't had any flea or ticks so it's also working. We are not happy with it though for two reasons: 1. It's hard to get tight and one of our cats keeps getting it caught in his jaw when he cleans himself, so we finally had to remove the collar. 2. I am concerned one of our cats could get choked by this collar if caught in something. It's very strong and doesn't have any "break-away," feature so this possibility worries me.Susan K.
