We have two fairly small dogs and this gate is amazing for containing them. The opening between our family room and our living room is 70" and this gate spans the opening perfectly. I especially like that it is free-standing and not attached to a wall. Because it has substantial plastic tabs that "catch" between the two walls of the opening, the dogs aren't able to push it open or push it over. Since it moves easily, they are able to insert noses between the gate and the wall it is pressing against and squeeze through that way. We have solved that with a jug of kitty litter against the gate. Not really attractive, but effective. It is very easy to move out of the way and put back in place, so I can get in and out of different rooms. It is short enough for our cats to jump over (20") and my husband easily steps over it (he's pretty tall). Our dogs are a Shiatsu who is fairly small and a small standard poodle. Neither of them has attempted to jump over the gate (they aren't jumpers). Larger dogs or those who are jumpers might be able to jump over. Our son has a very large standard poodle and she is quite able to get over the gate when she visits, so this might not be perfect for a larger dog. These are very high quality durable and useful gates. There are tiny rubber pads under so you know which side to grab after putting away and the ease of the hinges are excellent. They are heavy enough to let the pet know it's stable and it's not a easy move with a nose plus the size and amount of panels make the setting of your area customized to the fit. I actually will buy more so I can use them out on the patio. Our dog understands boundaries and seems satisfied to see us until the entry is opened. I bought one brown which is a nice dark walnut color brown and a white one which both have a nice what I would describe as an enameled type gloss finish for protective wear. I got this to put between the kitchen/dining room and living room so my daughter couldn't get into the kitchen to sneak food. I can't always be there to keep her out so this is perfect for the times I need to be in other parts of the house not knowing what she is getting into. It's just the right height as she is only a couple of inches taller than the gate. We had to add 2×4's on each side of the wall to ensure the gate would be able to close tightly. The gate seems to be sturdy once in place. Just take care when opening and closing it. It would be great for dogs but if they like to jump up to the gate I'm not sure if it would last over time. I have this gate (the 44 in tall one) and it is awesome because it is soo hard to find a tall gate. I have a 4 month old great dane/boxer puppy who goes right over all regular gates. I bought this one and a more expensive metal one, this one I use in a doorway we never use, it cannot be opened/closed all the time, and must be "re-set" each time, so good for somewherte you can just put it up and leave it up. Not good for where you need to open/close it regularly. BUT I knew this when I bought it, and I saved money vs buying a more expensive one for this doorway. This was a life saver. My pug is 15 and needs help getting up and down from couch. It has 3 positions so it is not steep for an older dog to use. It is ready to use right out of the box. Looks like a nice piece of furniture. It is not to long and can be used in the smallest spaces. The carpet like material on the ramp, also has slip resistant material on it (like what is on the bottom of socks). The dogs love it and it does not bother their feet. When going down the ramp, they can go as slow as needed and not slide down. I highly recommend this product. It will not work with really high beds or trucks unless you add to it. But it is perfect for anything else including cars (if needed) It is very light and easy to move around. It is very sturdy and does not move when dogs are using it. Even my younger dog loves it and she is scared of everything. The first day we got it we used treats to get them to use it. I only took a few minutes and they loved it. We had foam stairs before this but my older dog was still having issues using it. Because of the material of the stairs, when going down, it would force her to go fast and slide. This does not do that and allows them to go as slow as possible (I know I repeated this but it truly makes a difference for an older or injured dog/cat.)Nic

These are very high quality durable and useful gates. There are tiny rubber pads under so you know which side to grab after putting away and the ease of the hinges are excellent. They are heavy enough to let the pet know it's stable and it's not a easy move with a nose plus the size and amount of panels make the setting of your area customized to the fit. I actually will buy more so I can use them out on the patio. Our dog understands boundaries and seems satisfied to see us until the entry is opened. I bought one brown which is a nice dark walnut color brown and a white one which both have a nice what I would describe as an enameled type gloss finish for protective wear. Poor âDuncanâ was adopted from a rescue almost two years ago, then relinquished when the adopters got a job offer in a different state, and they decided they didnât want to include him in their new life. The rescue, which specializes in Duncanâs much-maligned breed, contacted me to see if I could give this sweet old Doggo a home for his twilight days. At his age and considering his breed, if I didnât adopt him he was doomed to be a âsanctuaryâ doggo, spending his remaining life in a cage, all alone. I decided I had to give him a chance. When I brought him home it was clear heâd been neglected: he didnât know how to play with toys, he avoided me and even tentatively nipped my hand in fear. I gave him time to decompress, and within a week he was like a pupper again, showing spirit and affection. He even started asking for belly rubs! Because this is a very social breed, I wanted to give Duncan access to the daybed so he can easily climb up to snuggle and snooze with me. I considered building a ramp, but wanted only the best for this Doggo. After researching online, I decided DoggoRamps was definitely the way to go! I have a paraplegic cat who climbs (and jumps out of) everything in the house, I already intended to find some kind of ramp to try and preserve my sheets from those sharp claws, but then once we changed our boxed bed to a wood one, he became unable to climb on the bed by his own, which was SO TRAGIC. Then we found the doggoramps and it was immediately my favorite option, we researched some more for good measure and came back to this one and purchased it. It arrived on time and it was *everything* we expected. It is very well made, with quality sturdy HEAVY wood, very stable even without the stability anchor. Beautifully finished, the white one complimented our white bed in a way that is just such a nice bonus ('cause we wouldn't have prevented Onyx from climbing on the bed even if it was ugly). And you no what, I have a sample size of 2 (my paraplegic cat and my able-bodied one) but we didn't even need to train them! Just put them on the ramp one time to show them, helped Onyx up one time 'cause he was a bit insecure and BAM, Onyx now only ever goes up *and* down from the bed using the ramp and even Luci, our able bodied cat uses the ramp more often than not. I want to let everyone know how awesome your service is. I received the initial order of 2 small dog ramps extremely fast. The one ramp I opened had been damaged due to shipping. I took pictures of the damaged ramp with my iPhone & sent an email to DoggoRamps with pictures attached. I called & they sent me a reply email telling me what my options were regarding the damaged ramp. I was so impressed how easy it was getting the ramp returned and getting a new replacement. Wish it came in a larger diameter, but I think the 38 will work for now. The puppy will only be about 4 pounds when I get her but will grow to be 8-10 pounds, so the pen should give her enough room to play until she is trained. I also like that it has a zippered top that can be taken off while inside or zipped on if outside because she is small enough to become prey to hawk, owls, or coyotes. Also like the pockets, the tote bag, and the fact that it is so light weight.
I purchased the play pen for my 10 week old chihuahua. I am pleased that it gives him plenty of space for a bed, a potty pad, a wooden table for food and water, and still plenty of space for him to play with toys. I am using the play pen when I need to be gone for any amount of time. I also purchased a crate at our local store for him to use at night. He seems to like being in the play pen. I know my cat appreciates having the house to herself when he is in it. The two are still working on sharing a home and myself. They are doing well considering it has only been 10 days. I feel that any breed that is bigger then a toy/miniature would be better in a bigger,sturdier enclosure. I think that this would also work for cats/kittens while house training. I am looking forward to fall and being able to move it back and forth from inside and outside. It will provide a safe place so he is able to enjoy spending time outdoors and getting fresh air. I bought the pink one for my 3 month old American cocker spaniel and it was definitely not a good choice. It's cute and the color is nice but it's too easy for the sides to cave in and if your dog or cat is super crazy, they can actually move this around the floor like a hamster ball. This is probably fine for small, inactive puppies, dogs, kittens or cats. It's spacious enough for a sedentary furry friend. My hyperactive little terror sunk her teeth into the mesh sides and started pulling it apart. She also figured out how to unzip it. I would not recommend it.kejean12

I really like this very light crate for my well behaved dogs when I take them to agility trials. Easy to carry and set up. Note this is not a good crate for dogs that are not used to be crated or that might try to escape. This is a great product for people who are on the go with their pets or just last minute travel plans and you don't want the hassle of packing a big travel kennel. So far I've seen the small and medium sizes. Love that all you have to do is give a quick twist and it pops up. There's no hassling with putting it together like most do. Comes in black and tan. Our 15 year old golden retriever corgi is increasingly having issues with his hind legs and mobility can be very difficult. He needs most help when he is going in and out of a car via a ramp, in and out of the bath, and on bad mobility days we need something to help us get him outside to go to toilet – we basically use the handles to keep him upright in order to do his business. This definitely helps but with modifications for the latter task. Duke is long bodied and wide like a golden retriever but with very short legs and is about 50 pounds, so he needs support all along his body and we have to get the XL size to fully accommodate his length, it is a bit big at the front and does look like we have turned him in to a duffle bag, but that's part of the fun. The issue is when we need to take him to toilet using it, and I've had to cut a rectangle in the middle of it, between the straps, to allow him to be able to relieve. It washes great in the machine and even with the cut out the material has retained strength and hasn't frayed. We are lucky that our guy is no more than 50 pounds, I can't imagine managing this condition with a heavier dog. Even at that weight it is a bit of a struggle, but this certainly makes it seem less like he is being hurt as we do it. It is all very stable and everything is equally supported without any 'yelps', which wasn't the case with others. So it works very well for us and we are very thankful to have found it (we now have three of them).LainieA51
As our yellow lab âGriffinâ began to age it was heartbreaking to see a formerly active, vibrant field dog begin to loose the strength in his legs. He loved his rides in the car, and as a passionate field dog, he could negotiate any rock wall with ease. As he aged he couldnât even climb the stairs to come to bed. We used your dog lift assist carrier to help him up stairs, and boost him into the car, so he returned to his roll âDriving Mr. Griffâ. I would make one design suggestion that might help improve this product. On the double strap lift handle, I would add two sturdy additional horizontal lift handles 1/2 way down the sides of the primary straps, thereby enabling two people to lift the dog from both sides of the carrier. This really helps with a heavier dog! Overall, this is a well designed, and well built product!
Have a beagle with hind leg, disk issues. Tried a vet two-piece harness & that was impossible to get around his legs & then his tail, too. I read a review by someone saying this one is hard to put on, but trust me, compared to the trapeze contraption- itâs cake. And youâll learn better ways of placing it under their belly & then slipping their front legs through. This one-piece, I find, is also easier to manipulate to allow added pressure or remove pressure. Most handy when heâs pooping & canât handle the squatting. Anyway, my guy at the smaller size of medium & so like Houdini he manages to get his front paws out of the holes & either wears it like a tu-tu sometimes or w/ one paw out, trips across it. Larger, medium size dogs, more toward 50 lbs & longer probably get a great fit. Other critique is a nice V-cut in underside toward back would be great to still allow support – but prevent guy dogs from possibly peeing on it. In all: great aid & it helps my wife lift him into the truck when we use it as Orvis thought itâd be used.GerryB

This was a life saver. My pug is 15 and needs help getting up and down from couch. It has 3 positions so it is not steep for an older dog to use. It is ready to use right out of the box. Looks like a nice piece of furniture. It is not to long and can be used in the smallest spaces. The carpet like material on the ramp, also has slip resistant material on it (like what is on the bottom of socks). The dogs love it and it does not bother their feet. When going down the ramp, they can go as slow as needed and not slide down. I highly recommend this product. It will not work with really high beds or trucks unless you add to it. But it is perfect for anything else including cars (if needed) It is very light and easy to move around. It is very sturdy and does not move when dogs are using it. Even my younger dog loves it and she is scared of everything. The first day we got it we used treats to get them to use it. I only took a few minutes and they loved it. We had foam stairs before this but my older dog was still having issues using it. Because of the material of the stairs, when going down, it would force her to go fast and slide. This does not do that and allows them to go as slow as possible (I know I repeated this but it truly makes a difference for an older or injured dog/cat.)Nic

this is the shorter length ramp. Not sure who they made it for?? Goats maybe?? because the incline is insane…. đ really! A dog that can climb that steep incline, and easily jump! So again, VERY POOR design and unusable. I'd guess a 67-70 degree incline – so crazy!! Don't buy this!adw899
