We purchased 2 monkeys The label stated chew level 4 (moderate-heavy) Our dog had the rope pulled out of the arm of the first monkey in under 10 min. By the next morning the face had been destroyed, unstuffed and de-squeeked. Later that afternoon the same dog tore the rope out of the 2nd monkey's arm and proceeded to shred it in less than 20 min. We love this brand! The squeakers last and my dog doesn’t immediately tear them up. Worth paying a little more, but often we find them for a reasonable price on Amazon, Chewy, or Sierra Trading Post. We love all of the GoDog toys and probably have purchased 50 or so over the years. The ones with the dangling legs have multiple squeakers and are great for dogs that love to play tug. The picture doesn't do it justice this toy is massive. At first I thought it ight be too big but my pittie took right to it. The best part is she hasn't chewed through it yet. This is (was) our second monkey ropetugz. Our puppy LOVED this toy, in fact loved it to its final demise. We were convinced it was a great toy so I ordered a replacement. He whimpered with delight when he was given his new friend, long lost. Number 2 however wasn't as sturdy and the rope has started to unravel. I am still trying to work out if I can repair it and he is missing his monkey friend greatly.Denise

A great tug of war toy but also for any dog that likes to chew throughl. My only caveat is that the loops (while good for holding during play), represent a bit of a hazard–especially if your dog is a chewer. I have a 1y/o 70lb Golden Retriever and while he doesn't sit and chew to destroy, he is a puppy and chewing is a part of playing. Having said that, the monkey stayed together but the rope was short lived. As soon as your dog gets a tear or fray in the rope, they learn they can pull it apart. My dog did not eat it, as he just disentangled it, but for others, this could potentially cause a stomach ache or blockage if eaten.kaitlyn.c
