Metal Tray For Dog Crate For Sale (2024 Update)

I actually bought these as litter-catching trays to go under the cat boxes. I have an old cat who sometimes misses and even when he doesn't, he has a habit of tracking litter everywhere. I've been looking for a large, flat shallow tray to go under the box and these are perfect. I bought the medium-sized tray. I was expecting cheap-ish plastic but these are more rubberized and much better quality than I expected. Very happy with them. I'm sure they'd work great in crates as well.Elissa

I bought this as a replacement due to my original one cracking. It seems to be holding up really well. The only downside to this product is the fact that I bought the wrong size. I ordered the 30 inch pan. It came in a box that says 27 inch pan. The problem is that the width is only 18 1/2 inches leaving at least 2 inches where it is too short for the crate. I am not sure how to make sure I get one to fit. My Midwest Kennels are in great shape but older. I am trying to find the right size to order. Have to have one at least 20 inches wide. The 27 1/2 would work from back to front of crate.Christine3239

It is made better than the original crate pan, however, getting the proper width was a problem. I set the pan inside the old pan or else there would be too much of a gap that my dog could get hurt. I don't know why no one had the proper width. Length is fine.My crate is 24 inches wide. Maybe they don't make them like that one anymore, as it is over 10 years old.Gazer

Perfect for what I needed them for! I use these for cat food and water under a counter. I have two side by side, one with the water dish and one with the dry food. They fit perfectly (rather than sticking out as my last trays did), so now we can walk normally in front of the counter without having to step over the trays. And I don't have to worry about the water dish over flowing, because I know that the water will be captured in the tray and not end up all over my new floor! The tray has a small edge, about an inch tall. The tray isn't as thick as the boot tray I was using, but it still works fine. I put stick-on felt feet on the bottom so when I slide them in and out they move easily. Very happy!Kim

This has been a big help in my house for my cats litter. I have been struggling so much keeping up with cleaning litter all over my house until I decided to get this tray after my first tray broke. It's the easiest crate to put together. I didn't read directions and so easy to fold and store. Its really all ready put together just unfold. Easy.2longislandny

The up side, the tray fits. The down side, it makes a bigger mess inside the crate than cardboard does. Now, instead of just using cardboard and newspaper to line the kennel, I'll now have to use that in conjunction with the tray. Also, my dog hates standing in the soggy mess the tray causes. Received the plastic trays in good time. When I received the trays they were of such cheap plastic that the edge was broken off both of them. I would have returned them but I had no choice. I was up against a deadline and I used them anyway. I will replace them with something of higher quality at a later date. Cheap brittle plastic. I wouldn't recommend the tray.TimE

I purchased a damaged tray at a small discount from the store, thinking the crack on the corner lip of the tray wouldn't matter. It didn't even last through the first use. My separation anxiety dog expanded the cracks and tore it up. :/ They didn't have any non damaged in stock. Don't purchase the damaged ones!Crazy dog mom

Good quality heavy duty cage for my Doberman puppy. The chewed the wires off the regular cage. Only concern is the tray goes under the metal grate at the bottom of the cage. Not good at all. He got his foot pad/toe caught in it. Also his collar caught in it. I forced the tray to go into the cage on top of the grate. Problem solved. Need to have an option of where to put it. Would recommend with supervision of your dog. No collars on when grate is not covered. Good tough cage. Neighbor bought same fir her bull dog puppy same age as my dobie. She likes it also. *The price was very reasonable and the size/construction was surprisingly sturdy. *As an added bonus, our cage has a side door that wasn't advertised. We almost didn't purchase this one since it appeared to only have the one door at the end. But our cage has a second door that swings out from the side panel. *We have always taken small (4" size) zip ties and secured the corners of our cages to provide added strength – in case dogs paw at the cage. I would still recommend zip ties although the cage seems to snap in place tightly. Of course, if you frequently fold down the cage, replacing zip ties can become cumbersome. *The plastic pan on the bottom is thinner than our last cage, but our dogs have not chewed or scratched at them previously, so this won't be a problem for us. *The carrying handle appears strong enough to lift the empty cage and will be useful. *Upper and lower slide latches are provided on each door. All latches have a rod bent at the end to help secure the latch. In the past, our dogs learned to shake the door until the latch slid over but this new design prevents the latch from sliding open.KYMom

I bought one of these and liked it so much that I just purchased another one. Both are the 42 inch size.I have 2 older 42 inch similar type kennels but they are a different brand and I paid a lot more for them. I think that the BestPet brand wire pet cage/crate/kennels are just as good as the more expensive ones that I have. In fact I was able to purchase two of the BestPet kennels for what I paid for one of the older kennels I have. I like the latches on the Best Pet kennels. They have a little "crook" on the end that prevents the latch from sliding open accidently. But it is easy for a human to open and close. I am an older woman and the kennels are easy for me to move around to the areas I desire to put them. They are sturdy, but easy to handle,and have the plastic slide out tray at the bottom for easy cleaning, I was unsure about this Brand at first because the price was so GOOD that I figured something had to be flawed with this kennel but I was very wrong. I do think it is a good idea to buy a couple of extra plastic trays or if you are crafty cut a piece of heavy duty plastic to have on hand when you change out a tray for cleaning. Plastic is just plastic so a heavy dog could cause damage to the tray .But the trays I got with my kennels are not flimsy at all. The kennel comes with a plastic handle that can be attached at the top. I live in a rural and at night the coyotes and other undesirable critters come out and I have had problems with Tom cats just mauling my young cats. So now I can put my kittens or young cats and puppies in kennels at night and I don't have to worry and fret about what is happening in the dark to them. Also, this will save me money in Vet bills. The cost of just one of the large kennels is about the cost of an office visit to the vet so I am very pleased to wake up each day and know that all of my "babies" are safe and happy. Included with the kennel is a wire divider that can be put in the kennel so you can keep pets separated from each other. I had one particular cat that had an injury that seemed to outsmart me and escape from any cage I tried to keep her in. She can't get out of this Best Pet kennel. I will buy a couple more of the 42 inch size kennels to have on hand because the price and quality is so great and I plan to buy a couple of the smaller wire ones to transport cats and pups to the vet in. I find the plastic cat carriers to be attractive but not so practical when you have a heavy cat or a "wild" cat or unhappy dog that needs an injection from the vet before it can be removed from the carrier to be tended to. These kennels come with a very fair 3 month Limited Warranty. (Send in the Warranty Card !!) I bought this when my dogs tray began cracking and definitely needed to be replaced. The price wasn’t awful at hand but in comparison to the crate, it’s a bit much for a tray in my opinion. It was $20 for the tray when her crate was only $40. Seems a bit steep for a piece of plastic to sit on. Other than the price, it’s great. Light weight, easy to clean and remove. I did not buy this as a replacement for a dog crate! My elderly cat had began urinating on one spot of carpet. I began using disposable pads but was worried about the urine soaking through to the carpet while I was at work. After cleaning the carpet I put this down and covered it with a machine washable/reusable pee pad. This works perfectly for what I needed. When I change the pee pad I just wipe this pan off with an antibacterial wipe.Mustangsally0123

My Dog has identified that where the Logo is stamped is this products weakest point. Because She has tore through the Logo twice now in the past 3 months. I know pets are and expense but not because of inferior products. Get Rid of the Logo!!! No one wants to spend $20 to $30 dollars on something that lasts only 1 to 2 months under my Dog and a lifetime in the landfill.Craig24

This product is the same as Pet Edge. While you can pay less at Pet Edge for the product, their shipping charges are astronomical making it MUCH more expensive than purchasing from Wayfair. The manufacturer or vendor does not package this product well–Wayfair is not the manufacturer or vendor, so I've had several arrive broken. YET, Wayfair has them send out a replacement every time–quickly and without any pain. I highly recommend Wayfair!!Renee

Great weigh plastic, very sturdy and a nice finish makes it easy to keep clean. We use a squeegee to collect the waste to one crner and makes it very easy to simply flush down the toilet. Wash this product off with a hot spray and some no rinse disinfectant and you are done!Patricia

I ordered this pan to replace the pan in an older crate I’ve had for over eight years. The new pan does not fit exactly how the old pan fit, but it is close enough. Most important is the quality. This new pan seems to be made out of a better quality plastic and not as brittle as the original. I would recommend this product.Tracy25
