The directions were weak and adapter ( for large Igloo Dog house} didn't match properly. Had to go on to YouTube to figure out how to make it work. The Igloo is a constant curve making something that is not built for the curve turns into a little more work. The adapter did not compensate for the curve but I did get it installed and I am happy with it and my dog is also. The heat shield needs to be a little lager and more reflective the outside of the dog house gets hotter than I personally would like. I would still recommend it.cmswin
The bracket is supposed to fit an igloo style dog house. The dog house is curved the bracket is flat which makes it difficult to drill mounting holes for the bracket. The mounting holes on the heater were not in the correct location for the bracket (had to drill bracket for heater mounting). It came with a heat shield that did not mount correctly. Bought this for our older dog who now has to contend with the younger one pulling bedding out to position into sun. I bought this as a replacement lamp for my Beardie. I had springs that held down the old lamp. This particular lamp can be a nuisance when open and closing the lid to her terrarium due to not being able to hold it down. I'm not really a huge fan of this type of lights. Unless you can just let them hang without your pet reaching them they are both dangerous to the pet and they are not very secure. We tried clipping this type standing on the outside of one of the snake cages so that he couldn't coil around it and pull it down or get burn from the bulb. They put out plenty of light and heat for sure but, I'd rather stick with using them for the workshop.kathy .m

I own tiny chihuahua mixes who need a lot of exercise, even in the winter when it gets dark early. I've tried other lights, led leashes and collars – everything is too heavy for my dogs. These lights are very small and lightweight – perfect for little, short-haired dogs. Other people have commented on how bright they are, easy to see down a street or across a parking lot. The light comes with a small paper tab that must be removed for the battery to engage. So far so good. The package contains NO INSTRUCTIONS on how to access the paper tab or the battery. I found the Nite Ize web site and see now that it is supposed to unscrew but that "extra force is required." I bought a twin pack that has a steady white light and it’s just like a dog headlight! However, the second light would not stay on for more than 3 minutes. The flashing light has several colors and flashing or steady on options. If you go on a 30 or 40 minute walk, you’ll stay in the dark. I hope they can fix this design problem.Hunter

These are convenient little lights. We have very little outside lighting so they are extremely helpful in both keeping track of our dogs at night when they are out in our yard and for safety when walking them at night. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because they are a little tricky to turn on and off initially. If I could change one thing I wish they turned on and off with the press of a button or front of unit. These turn on and off by turning the front of the light. We actually broke one turning it too hard, but the price point is so low that I ordered multiple replacements to keep on hand. I like the size of these ones compared to others, they are not too bulky or big for our small and medium dogs (Yorkie and Beagle).adwest
This is a great lightweight light for cats (i walk my black cat on a harness/leash, I can’t see her at night). However, the light doesn’t have a blink setting. It’s just a solid, steady white light. Even though the casing is pink, the light is white and not pink. It’s still a good product but definitely not as great as it could be. This is by far the most lightweight pet light I’ve found and for that reason we’ll keep using it while we look for a better, blinking light.Jodiealoha
