Tri-Heart is the same ingredients as Heart Guard but at a much more reasonable price. My dogs don't hesitate to take it with their bowl of food each month. They do get a little looser poops for the next 12 hours, but I haven't noticed any other side effects. The Heart Guard causes that for them as well.TamE
Let me lead with saying that after I came back here to look closer, yes, the website does indeed say these are tablets and not chewables. That said, I did not see that the first time I ordered and was misled by the "Generic for Heartgard" language. In human medicine, generic meds are the same as name brand and I made the (false) assumption this would carry forward. While these do indeed have the same active drug as the name brand, don't be fooled into thinking this is a "flavored" tablet. It's a very hard tab. My dogs usually willingly take medications even without an incentive like a treat. However, with these, it was a massive struggle. No matter what we tried to hide the tablet in, they refused to eat it, and even the old "put it in the back of their throat" trick was a struggle. For a comparison, if you've tried giving your dog Trifexis, it looks just the same. We eventually got these into our dogs, though it was traumatic for all involved. I certainly won't be doing this again. I'm returning the remainder and buying the name brand. The relatively small difference in price simply isn't worth the trauma to my dogs.Brandon

They are easy to use, easy to wash and provide visibility when in the field. Bought this online. Used the weight to size my pointer cross which weighs 50lbs, so according to the site he's a medium. Nope. The second strap won't even fit around the back side of his front legs. Really happy with this device. My previous HR monitor (older Polar version) stopped working after a couple years and so it was time for a new one. This model provides everything I need (aka the heart rate, duh), and was super easy to pair with the Polar Bear phone app (I don't have a sports watch). The HR monitoring with the app is great. I also applaud that I can leave my phone at one end of a volleyball field and play on the other and the devices remain connected across some good 10+ meters without any issues.
Had it now for a few weeks and used both indoor (with Zwift) and outdoor. Readings are consistent and appear to be accurate. Strap is comfortable across the chest. The crate had obviously been used and returned. The metal was rusted in places and the plastic bottom tray was dirty. When I decided to return it, It was a challenge to get it back in the box. When I took it back to the store, I asked about a discount and received 15% off (the tax). I had previously bought one that was marked down by 50% because the box was damaged. I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. I bent it slightly and it works much better. I haven't had that issue with any of the previous MidWest crates I've used. I'm a MidWest crate fan.Eddie09
We bought this in April 2022 for our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix puppy. He was weeks old when we rescued him. He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself! I have German Shorthaired Pointers. I use this for hunting, camping, and horseback riding. My dogs run pretty big. I love and rely on this tracker. I only gave it 4 stars because it doesn't have the range that's advertised. 2-3 miles max, on flat terrain. When Garmin first came out with the Astro 15 years ago, I thought it was pretty expensive and hesitated to buy it. Then I lost a dog for 3 days, missing 2 days of work and hiking 20+ miles and lost 7lbs in one day. Then it didn't seem so expensive. The price hasn't gone up for the Astro after all this time. We would love to recommend Dr. Harvey's products because we think they are amazing substitutions when you don't have much time to cook for your pooch. Make sure you read the description of how much to mix the Canine Health as it's not too much especially when you are introducing it to your pooch the first time. Quality projects with over the top customer care. My 14 yo terrier was diagnosed with kidney disease. My vet basically made it sound like a death sentence and only recommended Science Diet kidney kibble. After some of my own research, I knew kibble was inappropriate and she refused to eat the very disgusting canned food. That's when I found Dr. Harvey's. They advised me via text and phone call until I had the right menu for my dog. I cannot thank them enough – I have my dog back! She feels like her old, sassy self. I've used heart rate training for many years and now am teaching the next generation of racers about it. Most all of our team ride with their phones so the chest strap along with Polar Beat is the least expensive way to get heart rate. The H10 is a solid performer. Although, it seems that the battery life is not as good as chest straps I have had in the past. Maybe all modern chest straps use more battery and need to be changed more often. Also, it seems that the strap/phone combo works better when the phone is in a pack or bag and not up against my back in a jersey pocket. All in all, I'm extremely happy with the H10.Paul A.
I bought this chest strap as it is rated as the most accurate heart monitor you can get. I like that I get instantaneous heart rate and the monitor links via Bluetooth to my treadmill, so I have constant feedback of where I am at during my training. It also has a mobile app, Polar Beat, that it works with on my phone that also gives great data feedback on stats from my exercise. I bought this chest strap because the FitBit I use has some "lag" during heart rate monitoring and I wanted something that I could use that gave me real-time information so I can see when my heart rate is increasing AND decreasing during exercise. I recently bought a Sunny stepper (thinking I could get away with going low-end). The "computer" on the machine would have been impressive 30 years ago. One of the features is a pulse-sensor pad, something that makes a huge amount of sense for a geezer like me. Except, the pulse sensor is ridiculously inaccurate. Since I've reentered the world of aerobics (it's been a decade; the guy I was following for bodywork routines said weight work was sufficient. My last physical put the lie to that story), I decided I need to track heart rate more carefully than I ever did in my youth or middle-age. After looking around, I decided to go with this puppy. Just wasn’t what I expected. I thought it would be smaller, expected actual engraving not laser. And I thought I would be engraved front and back, name on front, number on back. What I got was the size of a quarter, all info on one side, and it is laser imprint. It’s not horrible, just not what I expected. We purchased this with it stating it was a new collar. The actual collar that it came on has been cut off. There is no charger with it. It does seem to work but with the collar being cut it won't fit our hounds & without a charger u cant charge it. It came in a envelope, not in a box like the new ones do.boyces08

This is a nice looking crate and it is substantial. It is also easy to move around. The main problem with it is that the clips to open and close the doors are annoyingly difficult. This product is a good product that can use some minor adjustments. I was surprised at how thin the pillow is. The crate has a hard bottom so the pillow should have a little thickness to it, but it does not. lf l had to guess, the pillow might be only milimeters thin. Another adjustment should be the ease of closing the side door and the sturdiness of the product when it's assembled. The side door sticks on one side of mine and the crate feels like it could collapse at times, although it never has. 0verall the product is good though and l still recommend it for its versatility.Heidi

Bought this last fall for upland hunting and general training for my GSP. Worked amazing. I had it in sub zero temps in the dakotas pheasant hunting and got it soaking wet duck hunting, functioned flawlessly. I very seldom have to shock him now, he responds to the vibrate function. I bought this after researching for several months. I have a buy once cry once mentality and am glad I paid a little extra. I love the digital reading so I know exactly what level of stimulation I am giving him. I actually tried it out on myself before I put it on my dog. I really couldn't feel anything until I got to level 20. My dog started acknowledging it at level 30, and that is where it has stayed. I haven't ever needed any more than that. Range is good, I do not like the settings for the shock control are not able to be locked! You can set it on setting 30 and put transmitter in pocket. When you remove it from pocket it maybe on 50! You also have to turn transmitter on and off! Other units do not use power unless control buttons are pressed!Jim
This product was exactly as described. The length of the two collars are long enough to be worn on a smaller or a larger dog. I have two boxers and have plenty of collar length so I feel that they would fit a very large dog. The control works well and is easy to manipulate. I can easily use the vibrate and shock buttons. The only "oops" thing that could happen is hitting the control shut off and shock button at the same time. The control shut off button is on one side of the unit and the shock buttons are on the opposite side. So when I am holding the control unit in one hand to shut it off, I have to be careful not to push the shock button in response to the pressure I am putting on the shut off button. Therefore I remove the collars before I shut the unit off. I am very happy with this product.boxer mum

He is now 7 years old and when it is his time to go to heaven the next puppy I get I will defiantly be introducing my new dog this collar. It is the easiest way to train a dog. I don't think it is to harsh once they know what happens to them if they don't listen you never haft to use the shock part anymore. If you do need to use the shock part it is because they really need it. I highly recommend this to anyone that is trying to train their do It is well worth every penny and it will last forever as long as you take care of it.
