I brought two of these a couple of months ago, one dog it works great. My other dog has managed to tie himself in knots around the seatbelt, tried with and without the extension to control his movements and he still ties himself up in knots. Worse he has managed to have the D-ring tear through a seatbelt. He has both slipped out of the harness and managed to undo the seatbelt. At first it helped with is nervousness travelling but now he has turned in HoudiniGlovair
Ever since my first Kurgo booster seat, I’ve been a huge fan. These harnesses are no exception, and are the perfect companion for the booster seat lineup. I’ve had to “brake check” one of my dogs to keep him from trying to get out of his seat with the little leverage he has in his seat. He “backpeddled” back into his seat and it didn’t take long for him to realize that he’s safe in his seat with his harness. Not only does Kurgo offer exceptional quality products (I have MANY things), they stand behind them with their lifetime guarantee. I’ve had a few things needing replacement over the years, and Kurgo honors their lifetime warranty with integrity. I was on vacation 2 weeks ago and a lady said she had the exact same harness for her dog, and we talked about how great Kurgo and their products are. I actually bought 4 of theses harnesses and really like the overall design and felt my dogs were safe in the car. However I totally hate the metal buckles as some of them do not buckle very easy. I had to file them down to make them easier to manipulate. And for someone with arthritis putting them on is a struggle, certainly not buckle and go, more like fiddle and fiddle and go. Another thing is if dog turns around everything at the top gets tangled into a big mess. They really should product test what they sell with all kinds of dogs. They are made reasonably well but skimp in the seam fabric which come apart in some areas after even hand washing which then causes fraying of edges. I would pay more if they would fix these problems. Thank you. Their customer service though I found excellent.Esher

I have a Mini Australian Shepherd puppy, and this harness is so good!! The way the leash attachment “floats” along the dorsal strap makes it work really well no matter where he is in relation to me (front/back/side), and it had really helped him learn not to pull, because unlike a collar it’s not actually unsafe for him to test his limits (so I dont have to try and keep him from doing it, just address when it happens). Good product, comfortable for dog, easy to adjust for size differences, holds up well for changing weather conditions and stress from use. I have purchased three harnesses in the last two years, all for the same dog as he grows. Only problem is where the harness crosses the dog's back and where it adjusts under the belly. When the harness is attached to a leash on the back clip, it slips and shifts until the back clip and leash attachment is hanging on the dog's side. And where the harness has two fixed adjustments near the dog's belly where the harness is held in place by snaps, the snaps aren't strong enough to stay closed when the dog moves, so the straps going through those loops shift and slip until the harness is out of adjustment. Together with the problem of the loose strap on the dog's back, for a large dog like I have, the harness is always twisted or loose unless I make some reinforcing stitches at those two key junctions. The first harness I purchased when the dog was smaller already had those two key junctions stitched and held in place. The next two harnesses needed to be stitched heavily by me in order to stay in place, which was difficult because the material is very tough and thick and isn't easily sewn by hand with a standard needle and thread. I don't know why the company stopped reinforcing those key junctions for the harnesses needed for large, strong dogs. Once the harness junctions are reinforced, the harness is good for a large dog being tethered or walked, and is easily put on and removed even if the dog doesn't hold still. I especially like the fact that the harness can be custom fit around both the neck and the chest, and from neck to back. That allows for long term use while the dog grows.
Purchased and selected size last year based on Kurgo size chart recommendation. Harness was way to large, at the smallest setting on our 56# Aussie. Also hooks/ slides on back of harness twist and turn, don't stay in place.. The adjustment slides don't stay in place in the front and the harness , after one pull is huge again. We were rear-ended on the freeway Sunday night. One dog was in the "Impact" and one in the "True Fit". While both dogs "flew" a little, the harnesses did their job keeping both dogs in the backseat. We spent a couple of days checking on them to make sure there were no latent injuries or bruising. The harnesses did really well. Bought for a large, barrel-chested but narrow golden doodle. The straps still barely touch where they're supposed to be held together by the elastic hook at the top, but despite being almost too small, the hard plastic chest piece cuts into the tops of his legs in a way that makes the product absolutely unusable. It doesn't curve to his body at all, and would not be at all suitable for sitting in a car without causing him pain. The back end of the chest piece also doesn't conform to his body at all, even when tightened – the hard flaps stick straight out to the sides. If your dog has a tall narrow triangular chest, rather than wide and rounded, I'd look elsewhere.lrose
We purchased this harness for our female boxer who likes to back out of most harnesses. Purchased a size medium although her weight fits into the lower range of the size large because we had problems with a similar car harness not adjusting small enough around her neck therefore allowing her to back out of it. Her neck measurement is 15 inches and her chest measurement is 31 inches. She appeared more comfortable in this harness then the one we previously purchased and did not try to back out of it like with the other. The amount of possible size adjustment on this harness is great compared to the other we have. The straps on this harness are one continuous loop instead of one set for the neck and another around the chest so you don't end up with the neck area too large which happens often with large chested dogs. The only con we have noticed is that the harness does seem to loosen up with use so it has to be readjusted. It would be helpful if there were a way to buckle the seat belt and then use a sturdy loop or some kind of attachment to go through the two loops on the back of the harness and around the seat belt because it can be hard to do and potentially could give the dog a chance to escape while you are fighting with the seat belt to get them hooked in.Boxer

I will say the attachments for around the belly are a bit cumbersome to do with a large breed, long haired bouncy puppy. We recently got another dog, so got another one but the woven straps are so slippery that I can't keep the harness adjusted. the sliding adjusters slips on th webbing. I needed this so badly!! Prior to purchasing this seatbelt bungee tether, my boyfriend was rigging up bungee cords to our boy's harness to keep him in place. That was a hassle getting him loaded into the car and untangled to get back out! Our pup rides with me almost everywhere I go, so I really needed a safe, easy way to keep him belted in. Now it's as simple as: Leave the tether buckled into the seatbelt all the time. Simply clip the carabiner to the dog's harness and you're ready to go! I bought this seatbelt for my dog when we moved across Canada. I knew we would encounter wildlife on the road at some point and wanted to make sure she didn't go flying if we had to hit the brakes, which we did have to a few times. Every time an animal ran in front of us, it kept her secure. She is also anxious in the car, and tends to pace and stand on the center console – so the seatbelt keeps her in place so she doesn't block our vision. Today her seatbelt was put to the test. We were coming back from a trip to the dog park when we were hit going about 55 km/h, give or take. She is a 70lb dog and even with the huge impact (airbags deployed in the other car but not ours) she came out completely fine. If she hadn't been buckled in, she would have been thrown face first into the driver side window. Good quality and a strong belt but the clasp which attachs to a harness does not move if the dog moves around somewhat on the back seat (unlike the type of clasp normally seen on the end of most dog leashes which can rotate). My dogs harness ended up getting tangled and eventually the rope of the seat belt had been wound around so many times that the dog harness was uncomfortably tight on the dog (during a long journey). The medium Kurgo harness fits my 23 pound dog well. The harness itself is incredibly sturdy – I was actually surprised by how “heavy” it is. The blue color is nice and the reflective material is an added bonus. The harness slips on over the dog’s head then buckles closed on each side. So far, it has been very easy and fast to put it on and take it off my dog. The leash clips are positioned in such a way (middle of back) that makes it easy to walk the dog without her choking herself (a problem we have with our old harness) from pulling. The harness is a bit stiff, however, so it’s not good for car rides where dog needs to lie down for long periods. The only concern we have is the loops to clip the leash to don’t seem as sturdy as the rest of the harness. The are a thinner aluminum that bends easily. Overall, I am impressed with this harness and recommend it.Ndanip
I love Kurgo products and think they are great quality, but was disappointed in this harness. If you have a barrel chested dog and want to attach a leash to the front D ring (my pup is a puller, so that was the whole reason we bought this), I wouldn't recommend this harness. I have a 14 month old standard poodle (45 lbs) and we bought a medium as she fit smack dab in the middle of those measurements. Unfortunately, the harness just doesn't fit deep-chested dogs. The neck opening is weirdly large and can't be tightened very much so after adjusting the harness to fit her, the front D ring ended up right between her front legs. We couldn't attach a leash to the front ring because she would stumble over it while we walked. Seems like Kurgo could fix this pretty easily by just moving the front D ring higher to be closer to the neck opening, but unfortunately not easy to fix/solve the issue at home. We'll be donating this as it unfortunately doesn't work for us.torvinn
My boyfriend has the Nylon Reflective Journey Air Dog harness (M), which looks like this harness mixed with the Tru-fit harness kind of. I have this Journey Air Dog harness (M) for my GSD/husky mix. We have a couple of issues with this specific model of the Journey harness. She has an athletic build with a pretty deep chest that is also narrow as heck, and due to the longer padding on the top of the chest piece, I'm unable to adjust it enough so that it fits her well. It renders the front D-ring useless, as the harness will pull to the side of her body loosely. Unfortunately, sizing down would mean that it would not be able to fit around the deepest part of her ribcage. The other issue I have with this harness is that I'm nervous it chaffs the back of her armpit area. It's pretty snug up against the backs of her legs–maybe even too snug. I would size up, but then that would exacerbate the issue with the front. I'm almost certain it's an unpleasant experience for her as she runs away when I so much as pick up the harness. I brought up the fact that my boyfriend has this type of harness (but a different/earlier model) because I am able to adjust that one well to my dog. None of the issues present in my harness are present in the other one, likely because of the smaller chest padding. I would go to the Tru-Fit harness for my pup, but we go hiking a bunch, and the handle on the back is a must-have. What is probably the most upsetting is that I cannot find this other model of harness in stock and in the size we need anywhere as of today. I bought this seatbelt for my dog when we moved across Canada. I knew we would encounter wildlife on the road at some point and wanted to make sure she didn't go flying if we had to hit the brakes, which we did have to a few times. Every time an animal ran in front of us, it kept her secure. She is also anxious in the car, and tends to pace and stand on the center console – so the seatbelt keeps her in place so she doesn't block our vision. Today her seatbelt was put to the test. We were coming back from a trip to the dog park when we were hit going about 55 km/h, give or take. She is a 70lb dog and even with the huge impact (airbags deployed in the other car but not ours) she came out completely fine. If she hadn't been buckled in, she would have been thrown face first into the driver side window. The dog sustained no injuries (the rest of us did, even with our seatbelts) and we have Kurgo to thank! I absolutely recommend this product because you never know what's going to happen. We purchased a Seat Belt Tether as an accessory to our Journey Dog Harness. What a great product – a seat belt for our dog – who knew? While driving once we had to make a fast stop that caused our dog to take a tumble from the Back seat into the space between the front seats in our van. Ever since then she has a little trauma and prefers to lay down when we drive. After seeing this product we thought we would give it a try and it works great. The metal tab fits our Dodge Caravan's seat belts perfectly. Thank you for a thoughtful and safe product!JandL
The belt is good quality. But when I first purchased this product, the part that goes into the buckle, somehow became bent whilst my dog was wearing it in our car, it also clicked out of the buckle and set him loose in the car. I spoke to PetCircle about this and they sent a new one. I recently used the new one, and the carabiner is unreliable, it can flick out of place and remain open. Basically the metal ware is not of good quality, and they are arguably the most important part of the seat belt. I've had 2 seat belts from this brand and both have been faulty in some way. I will not be using this product in my car. Luckily I have a different one, one that you tread the seatbelt through a loop, from a different brand, that is far more reliable. If you are after a car restraint do not buy this one in particular, its not reliable and certainly not worth risking my pets life.RUE

With a new puppy in my life and the desire to keep her safe, I researched harnesses to find the best one that would keep my girl safe when we travel. She loves looking out of the windows, so keeping her enclosed in a crate was not an option. After much research, I purchased a booster seat that hooked into the seat belt system, and then purchased the Kurgo harness along with this Kurgo swivel tether. The harness is built very well and works well in the car as well as while walking her on those potty stops enroute to our destination. The swivel tether was a bit huge for my 10lb dog, it would be better to make a smaller size if they could still maintain the strength of it. I put the harness on my pup, place her into the booster seat, then attach the tether to the metal bars of the headrest of the middle row passenger seat. I bought this tether to use with the Pinnacle Harness. I'm extremely happy with this product. The design is smart and fantastic. The materials are of high quality plus the price is affordable. Originally I bought the plain Kurgo tether to go with a car harness I already had b/c my dog likes to lay down when riding and the tether gives her a little more "move-ability". I finally bought the swivel b/c sometimes she likes to "circle" before laying down which usually leaves her tangled (esp on long trips). Since buying the swivel she has only "circled" once, but it didn't stay twisted which made my very happy! My only issue with this tether is that it is hard to get on and off of my current harness b/c the 2 attachment rings on the harness and the swivel clip are both very large. The swivel tether also has a red "bead" that screws up or down to lock or unlock the clip (so it doesn't open while riding) which I like.GM2015

Pluses: Hitching my dog (border collie cross 16" neck, 22" chest) to the chest ring on a Size L harness stopped her pulling. The harness is lightweight, easy to get on and off, and seems to be comfortable. Minuses: Unfortunately the nylon webbing that secures the chest attachment ring has frayed after approximately 10 walks. I believe that the edges of the slot where the nylon webbing threads through the steel attachment ring are machined with edges that are too sharp. They are essentially sawing through the nylon webbing (see photos), especially I'm guessing when the ring is under tension. I just noticed maybe a 1/4 inch tear Monday, then checked the harness after our walk yesterday and the tear had visibly extended about halfway through the attachment webbing. I purchased two harnesses, so I used the second harness this morning. The same damage already is beginning to happen. To me the real issue here is the harness has been used for a couple weeks as intended, and that ring sits low on the chest. And unless you check your dogs' leash gear like you're a parachute rigger there is a potential not to see the damage, and that makes this unequivocally a product safety issue.Dogboy

I have a Mini Australian Shepherd puppy, and this harness is so good!! The way the leash attachment “floats” along the dorsal strap makes it work really well no matter where he is in relation to me (front/back/side), and it had really helped him learn not to pull, because unlike a collar it’s not actually unsafe for him to test his limits (so I dont have to try and keep him from doing it, just address when it happens). Good product, comfortable for dog, easy to adjust for size differences, holds up well for changing weather conditions and stress from use. I have purchased three harnesses in the last two years, all for the same dog as he grows. Only problem is where the harness crosses the dog's back and where it adjusts under the belly. When the harness is attached to a leash on the back clip, it slips and shifts until the back clip and leash attachment is hanging on the dog's side. And where the harness has two fixed adjustments near the dog's belly where the harness is held in place by snaps, the snaps aren't strong enough to stay closed when the dog moves, so the straps going through those loops shift and slip until the harness is out of adjustment. Together with the problem of the loose strap on the dog's back, for a large dog like I have, the harness is always twisted or loose unless I make some reinforcing stitches at those two key junctions. The first harness I purchased when the dog was smaller already had those two key junctions stitched and held in place. The next two harnesses needed to be stitched heavily by me in order to stay in place, which was difficult because the material is very tough and thick and isn't easily sewn by hand with a standard needle and thread. I don't know why the company stopped reinforcing those key junctions for the harnesses needed for large, strong dogs. Once the harness junctions are reinforced, the harness is good for a large dog being tethered or walked, and is easily put on and removed even if the dog doesn't hold still. I especially like the fact that the harness can be custom fit around both the neck and the chest, and from neck to back. That allows for long term use while the dog grows.
Purchased and selected size last year based on Kurgo size chart recommendation. Harness was way to large, at the smallest setting on our 56# Aussie. Also hooks/ slides on back of harness twist and turn, don't stay in place.. The adjustment slides don't stay in place in the front and the harness , after one pull is huge again. I have a pit/lab mix, and he hasn't been on many walks, even though he needs to to cut down a few extra lbs. I looked at the sizing chart, and he was right in between the 2 sizes, so I went with the bigger one because I wanted him to be comfortable. I dont know if size had anything to do with it, but I couldn't get it to lay flat on him. It comes with several adjustment spots, so I can make sure it fits him good. He seems to really like it, as compared to other harnesses we have used with him. The material is nice and padded, it seemed very comfortable for my dog. The leash attachment is also in a really good place to pull at his chest and not his neck. In the time using this, I have not noticed any issues with the zipper or with the quality. When we rescued our Westie/poodle mix, he had never walked on a leash and fought us to the point that we had to carry him a few blocks and then try to leash walk. This Stash and Dash harness is great. It is so easy to take off and on that Remy doesn't seem to notice. When I use the hook at the bottom of the harness he stops pulling and tugging. This is a great harness because it is breathable and doesn't make my dog too hot. It also packs up into a small package that can be attached to a bag by the included caliber clip. You can also pack snacks and a little food in the pouch while your pup is wearing it. It also has nice metal clips at the chest and the rear of the front of the harness under the pouch. The Direct To Seatbelt Swivel is VERY light weight. The clip that attaches to the dog and swivels is plastic and easily breakable. I had hoped the item was like the Swivel Tether with a seatbelt attachment but instead it was a flimsy unit. Might be okay if your dog is under 15 pounds. I was sadly disappointed but I applaud the thought. Beef the entire unit up to the level of the Dog Seat Belt Loop or Swivel Tether and medium to large dog owners would be very pleased with the product. Thank you.Aussie Mom x 2
I purchased this item a few weeks ago to give my review on it. I already have the tether without the swivel, as well as the car harness. I have been using the regular swivel and car harness for at least 3 years and I love them both. The system is so easy to use. I just keep the tether plugged in to the seat belt at all times. All I have to do when taking my Boston Terrier, Daisy, for a ride is to snap the tether into the harness and away we go. I would never take Daisy, in the car without being strapped in with her Kurgo seat belt tether and harness just like I wouldn't ride without my seatbelt. Both products are exceptional and very well made and I recommend to have one for all your pups. The SWIVAL tether does seam to add more flexibility for Daisy to move around and change positions in the back seat than the tether without the swivel. The difference between the tether with the swivel and the one without is minimal for my dog. It probably depends on how much your dog likes to move around. Mine just pretty much sleeps in the car and doesn't move around all that much. If you are purchasing the car harness and tether for the first time, I say get the one with the swivel because…why not?trishkidd

Actually, I think this is a great product and should really be a great seller for you. I have just one suggestion – and that is you post s video of someone putting it on a leash. One needs a certain kind of mind to look at this and say- oh, here, this is how it goes on. I don't have that mind and it took me way too long to get this on. This is a really useful product – once I figured out how to attach it, that is. It really is extremely handy,, especially on long trips with three dogs! I would have given it five stars except that you need a brain that does mechanical stuff and mine doesn't. It took me forever to get this on the leash and then I forgot how to do it with the second one so I was back to frustration. It is just not user friendly. My suggestion for Kurgo would be to put a short video on its website showing someone putting it on the leash. I don't think that wold be all that hard. I chose the Walk About Harness and a matching leash to use for my dog’s “working gear”. I’m training him to be a registered therapy dog and it was suggested that he have different gear for this. We call it his working gear so he knows the difference when I put the Kurgo harness and leash on instead of his nonworking harness and leash. He quickly learned the difference and it has helped immensely with his training.
Doesn’t hold up well to daily use; the metal strap adjusters cut into the straps with daily wear and I’ve already noticed tears in the straps where the adjusters are. This harness has been the first I’ve found that enables me to adjust it to fit my dog’s narrow front chest however it does not appear to hold up well to daily use. I would not purchase again since it appears the straps will tear and fall apart in a couple months.ShannonC
I really like that this has a front and back clip so we don't have to change out harnesses for walking and car rides. And there's a lot of room for adjusting the size, including the chest. Our golden has a narrow chest/shoulders and other no-pull harnesses would have a pretty big gap that would hang down. The only thing I'd say to watch out for is make sure the adjustable hooks on the chest piece are locked in place after sizing. One did slip out of place (while my dog was rolling around) but, the harness didn't like fall off or anything. And it hasn't happened since, so I think it was more owner error than anything else. Our golden seems to like it! It's quick to put on so she can get outside fast and seems to be comfortable for her.Bekah

This is pretty easy to install on the bars. I love how the lead has adjustable loops so you can give them more or less leash length. My only issue was the hook that runs from side to side can give your pup to much freedom, especially if the doors are off the Jeep. My puppers attempted to jump out of the Jeep. We did however make the hook lock in place with a little ingenuity. But overall extremely satisfied with it and it’s purpose.AceR
I have a 3-legged pit bull mix that loves to go on car rides and this product was perfect for him. He likes to jump up on the back seats when in the trunk and likes to move around a lot, which causes him to fall often, and only having 3-legs worried me. This product fixed my worries, and also allowed me to not only keep him off the back seats, but keep him in the trunk when the tops off. I bought this for my 55lb Border Collie/Austrailian Cattle Dog fur baby. I have leather seats though and wanted to set her up in the back of my jku, not on the backseat. I hooked the ends to the seat belts but put them behind the backseat instead of in front. I would say the concept of this product is a great one and the cost of it is feasible for those on a budget with quality material. That said it was a challenge for me to figure out how to get her harnessed in at first so you will need some patience. I'm also not 100 sure I had her secured tightly enough because when the trail got a bit bumpy you managed to jump over to the backseat. I fully convinced that once I get her tied in correctly this is going to be well worth the $ and will keep my furbaby safe.TinaW

The medium Kurgo harness fits my 23 pound dog well. The harness itself is incredibly sturdy – I was actually surprised by how “heavy” it is. The blue color is nice and the reflective material is an added bonus. The harness slips on over the dog’s head then buckles closed on each side. So far, it has been very easy and fast to put it on and take it off my dog. The leash clips are positioned in such a way (middle of back) that makes it easy to walk the dog without her choking herself (a problem we have with our old harness) from pulling. The harness is a bit stiff, however, so it’s not good for car rides where dog needs to lie down for long periods. The only concern we have is the loops to clip the leash to don’t seem as sturdy as the rest of the harness. The are a thinner aluminum that bends easily. Overall, I am impressed with this harness and recommend it.Ndanip
I love Kurgo products and think they are great quality, but was disappointed in this harness. If you have a barrel chested dog and want to attach a leash to the front D ring (my pup is a puller, so that was the whole reason we bought this), I wouldn't recommend this harness. I have a 14 month old standard poodle (45 lbs) and we bought a medium as she fit smack dab in the middle of those measurements. Unfortunately, the harness just doesn't fit deep-chested dogs. The neck opening is weirdly large and can't be tightened very much so after adjusting the harness to fit her, the front D ring ended up right between her front legs. We couldn't attach a leash to the front ring because she would stumble over it while we walked. Seems like Kurgo could fix this pretty easily by just moving the front D ring higher to be closer to the neck opening, but unfortunately not easy to fix/solve the issue at home. We'll be donating this as it unfortunately doesn't work for us.torvinn
My boyfriend has the Nylon Reflective Journey Air Dog harness (M), which looks like this harness mixed with the Tru-fit harness kind of. I have this Journey Air Dog harness (M) for my GSD/husky mix. We have a couple of issues with this specific model of the Journey harness. She has an athletic build with a pretty deep chest that is also narrow as heck, and due to the longer padding on the top of the chest piece, I'm unable to adjust it enough so that it fits her well. It renders the front D-ring useless, as the harness will pull to the side of her body loosely. Unfortunately, sizing down would mean that it would not be able to fit around the deepest part of her ribcage. The other issue I have with this harness is that I'm nervous it chaffs the back of her armpit area. It's pretty snug up against the backs of her legs–maybe even too snug. I would size up, but then that would exacerbate the issue with the front. I'm almost certain it's an unpleasant experience for her as she runs away when I so much as pick up the harness. I brought up the fact that my boyfriend has this type of harness (but a different/earlier model) because I am able to adjust that one well to my dog. None of the issues present in my harness are present in the other one, likely because of the smaller chest padding. I would go to the Tru-Fit harness for my pup, but we go hiking a bunch, and the handle on the back is a must-have. What is probably the most upsetting is that I cannot find this other model of harness in stock and in the size we need anywhere as of today. I simply cannot recommend this harness if your pup has a narrow chest.2dogs1cat

I recently purchased this due to my (owners) disability. I can't hold onto a normal leash with my puppy and are still teaching her good leash manners. So when she would pull no matter what leash I had or as strong a grip I thought I had, the leash would fly out of my hand. Now I can walk her and not worry about losing control of the leash. The leash itself is made out of great materials. It feels sturdy and it seems like it will last a great while. I also like that the carabineer is replaceable. I want to have a retractable leash so when we go to a park that is open and just us, she can wander on her own with my supervision. My only complaint is that the sling does not come in any other colors, hence the 4 stars. I would love this 100% if mine was made exactly how it is in the picture. Instead I have a mirror image and when I walk my dog on the left side of me the bottle opener is in the back. He works with me and I want to keep this on when driving so I don't have to take it on and off however the double layer in the back and the bottle opener make it uncomfortable. I've called asking for one that looks like the picture and they sent me a replacement with the same issue. I called again and still haven't received one that is made how it looks in the picture.Munchkin

I bought this lift 9 months ago for use with my 12 year old120 pound border collie/ great pyrenees who was having many health problems including severe arthritis in his shoulders and hips. With this lift i could easily help lift him to his feet. Without this lift we wouldnt have been able to help him get around. Everybody at the vets was amazed at how easily i could lift Bear. We are going to buy one for their christmas gift. The price is extremely reasonable. I had originally purchased a very expensive lift somewhere else and it was a waste of money so i decided to order this one. I am so glad i did. For unexpected back-leg issues having this is priceless! It is super convenient that it can be easily slid under the dog if he can sit up and be used to help him up and steady him while walking without having to leave it on him all day. Even though he couldn't put any weight on one back leg at all I was able to help him to his feet and hold much of his weight to take him outside for short bathroom breaks. It would have been impossible without something like this. After a week he was able to walk normally again on his own. It does have a couple flaws if you have a large dog. We removed the front strap and had to cut the little strap on the underside. The biggest problem is the velcro straps are not long enough to actually fasten around him, so we use it more like a sling. However it still is a great product and if you need something for unexpected leg issues to help your dog around the house or to go outback this is a great product to have on hand especially if you have an older large dog. Also really helpful when leading him up a ramp to the back of Car. Good price too. 85 pound golden 13 years old.Crystal55
Easy/quick to put on & take off, super comfortable for the dog. It's great for helping an elderly dog up/down stairs or to help stabilize them on rough terrain. It would also be great for dogs recovering from knee or other orthopedic surgery. I have even used it to help my dog into the bathtub. My 14+ year old Malamute is a male & can urinate while wearing the Lifter without hitting the fabric. The biggest/only drawback I can see is that your dog must fall within the size range for this one size fits all garment to fit. So glad I found & purchased this product!Malmom

We bought this about 3 months ago for our new puppy and thought it was a brilliant tool for our dog in the car. We loved it. We used it maybe 4 times/week is all and it was comforting to know our pup wouldn’t walk around inside the car, while we we’re driving down the road. Then, last week we noticed that the carabiner just broke out and we’re unable to get the prong back inside the carabiner to use it. So frustrating. We gently used it and it broke after very little usage. Will contact company for warranty coverage. Hopefully the carabiners used in this product get improved!Rocky
I like it because it is a good strong belt and the connector seems to be strong enough to hold if needed. I only gave it four stars because we have to put two of them together for our dog or he cannot move at all on the seat. A single belt loop pulls him up close to the seat belt and for some of our long trips (over 4 hours), that just doesn't work. So we put two together to give him some room to turn around and lay down. It would be nice if a single one was adjustable to different lengths.LuvRDogsNM
We originally bought it for its intended purpose of keeping our pup safe in the seat but I first used it to keep him in my office as a larger carabiner, and we use it in the car to keep Ace safely grounded in car between our 2 captain chairs in our minivan.
