My lab loves to tear apart his toys, beds and anything he deems as his. He is smart, so my stuff is never in danger, but every toy I buy him ends up being shredded. After almost a year some rope poked out of the belly button. It looks like an umbilical cord now. The rest of it is still holding together and looking good. I purchased the KONG Floppy "fox" Knots Dog Toy. My dog luvs it! It's a great toy so I tried the alternative KONG Floppy Knots "Monkey" Dog Toy. Well the monkey holds up better but my dog prefers the fox. I'm on my 3rd fox in over a year. Even at 3 per year, it's a great buy for the cost.M S.V.

the guys has had the stuffing ripped out, his nose removed, holes gnawed through his feet, ropes removed and yet is still a favorite toy for our Aussie. he's nothing left than tattered animal body, but she loves it. the weak points were at his nose and butt; she managed to remove all stuffing in the matter of an hour. the ropes lasted longer. this toy was a great alternative to a completely stuffed toy, as i didn't have to pick up nearly as much stuffing from this one.lexi.a

My three dogs really enjoy this toy, the outside green shell/bag crinkles and they love that, even though they has torn the leg it’s still going strong also if you take the green shell/bag you can use it as a ball to kick about, the monkey has a squeaker toy in also.luicy.b

We have had this toy for a year now. I have had to sew it back up once last week and that was at the seam. No puncture holes in the body or any where other than the seam. I have a corgi who loves his "baby". This is his favorite toy and chews on it daily!April93

It's soooo adorable, BUT if your dog is a big chewer like mine, know it won't last 30 min. My Jerry Beagle pulled the little blue hair off and made a hole through the seam, getting to his reward, the squeaker. It took him 30 minutes, did last more than previous ones, I gotta say. lol I gave it 4 stars because it's such a cute toy and will be great for a better behaved dog. I read the material description since there were no reviews and thought it could work for my beagle, since he doesn't care for rubber toys, which are usually the only chewing-proof option. Strong Kong toy lasts a long time. I have a teething puppy and he needs something that he can't destroy. He destroyed the cheaper toys. I now only buy Kong toys.oclady1208

This toy is not for heavy chewers. I have a miniature dashie and she destroyed three of the four legs in easily a five hours. We had to cut those legs off as she started to eat the fluff. The body seems to be durable but she also can't really get her mouth around it. She loves the squeaker though.Melanie

Oh my word, my dog loves this toy. She is a miniature dachshund (and a small on at that) so I try to get her smaller toys usually. She has had this toy for a solid 3 years and has only almost "killed it" once. I was able to perform surgery with her crying the whole time, but the repair to the hole went smoothly and she was very excited to try killing him again. I love the size and that it is sturdy for being a small stuffed toy. Plus, any toy with a squeaker that she can't kill in 37 seconds is a huge win.katie.d

We love this brand! The squeakers last and my dog doesn’t immediately tear them up. Worth paying a little more, but often we find them for a reasonable price on Amazon, Chewy, or Sierra Trading Post. We love all of the GoDog toys and probably have purchased 50 or so over the years. The ones with the dangling legs have multiple squeakers and are great for dogs that love to play tug. Be warned though that the legs and arms can come out fairly easily, so this may not be good for a dog that eats his toys.pamela.s

My Dapple Doxie can destroy a chew toy in minutes…… literally, but this one although only part of "monk monk" remains after 6/7 months of fetch and destroy, has lasted an incredible length of time. I bought 4 more just so I wouldn't have to worry about fetch and destroy toys for the next year or 2!!! the image on left is new and right is after 6/7 months of CONSTANT play and is still going. I do recommend tieing the arms up to get him to fly better when throwing for fetch purposes.BDP72

Our 5 year old Retriever loved it to bits — literally. It was less than 2 hours before he tore it open at the neck and wads of stuffing were all over the floor. The teddy bear we got for him last year has lasted all year.tooz_84

Lovely looking toy (purchased the frog) which is an idea size for a small/medium dog. Quite a hefty product but it is ideal for a game of tug. Looks more exciting than the item actually is. Sadly, yet another toy which did not stand up to my Heeler cross puppy. We had fun playing tug of war for six days. This toy died by degrees beginning with the tug ropes. They were chewed through, then the body. Complete decimation by day 13. The longest of any toy yet but for the price, I'd love to find one which lasts longer then 13 days!ging4bs50

Our 13 yr old lab mix loves toys with squeakers and floppy arms/legs. However, he can destroy any toy within short order. The money was a good toy, but he did have holes in it, and stuffing flying within the first 30 min. He doesn't eat the squeakers and I let him play with the toy and tear it apart until there is only large portion of the body left. He has a good time and I always have an extra toy on hand. Purchased a couple of these for my dog who loves his monkey toys. Very disappointed when they arrived as I was expecting quiet a long leggy monkey as they are supposed to be 22 long. They are actually only 18 long (see photo). I was also disappointed with the quality of the monkey. The monkey has padded feet in the listing but the two monkeys that I purchased have no padding and the squeakers are just loose within the foot. These squeakers arent going to last very long as they only have a thin bit of material covering them with no padding to protect them. The whole monkey looks inferior to the one shown in the listing. My medium sized dog destroyed this toy in 10 minutes. She tore the arms and legs off and then went to work on the head. She liked the toy but it would be expensive to try to keep one all the time.tangerine

I have a small dog that weighs under ten pounds. He is spoiled rotten and he loves toys. These are good toys from Multipet for small dogs that are not inclined to chew them apart. My dog loves toys that make sounds. He can't always get them to make the sound on his own so he brings them to me to activate the noise. I purchased 2 "talking monkeys" for my 6 yr old basset hound Emmy because she liked the "talking ducks" (from Petco.com) so much. There's something about the noise these "recorded sounds" make, that drives her nuts. She races around the house like crazy, playing with the toy, making the noises (which are not at all obnoxious), causing my 12 year old basset Wendy to bark & bark. It gives me great joy to see them having fun. Unfortunately the mechanical devices inside the toys don't hold up. They should have more protection around the metal "noise box". 2 ducks & 1 monkey stopped working after a few hours of play. I'll keep buying them as long as Petco keeps replacing them. The sound can get old quite quickly, especially since he just loves to activate the monkey sounds, which sound nothing like the gorilla it's portraying but is still appealing to most dogs. I have a 90 lb mutt. He's mixed with chow, lab, Australian shepherd, & border collie (I had him DNA tested, which was really fun). He should only be about 65 lbs and is overweight but hasn't chewed up this toy yet. He tends to be "nice" when playing and mouthing his toys, just like when he's playing with other dogs or rough housing with my son. It probably helps that I trained my pup how to be "nice" when he used to accidentally bite my hand when I'd give him treats & say "OW!" So, now when I give him a new toy, I tell him to "play nice" with it. He also doesn't bite a toy to activate the sound or squeaker. He just noses it when it's on the floor. Idk where he got that from, but this toy has lasted about a month so far & is still making screaming, monkey sounds, lol. All in all, I think it's the best toy I've bought for him…besides his treat puzzle. He's such a smart pup!TheBold1

We have a German Shepherd and she's a heavy chewer! Usually KONG toys are build to last! But not these ones! Our dog will chew through even the "indestructible" toys. We try to stay away from toys that have Cotten in them. Cute toy, but not meant to last for a human shepherd puppy.michelle.c

We bought this exact toy from a pet shop and it lasted 12months! I think they're really good but the one we bought from here lasted 20mins before our dog ripped it apart? Maybe it was faulty as it was exactly the same as the last one. They're a strong toy but wouldn't recommend if you own an amstaff or similar as our boy made short work of it this time loljimshoe

You needed a bigger size. Generally, I would recommend sizing up once or twice anyway. The smaller ones are too small and not as thick of material therefore easier for any size dog to tear up. Additionally, if the toy isn’t full of snacks, take it away. Don’t let them chew on the toy itself just as a chew toy. That is another reason why the toy may get damaged. If the dog is focused on getting the snack out, they’ll be much less focused on destructive behaviors and tearing things apart. If you have a puppy, remember they teethe and it HURTS. They self sooth by chewing. Give them things it’s okay to chew on/destroy like Nyla bones (which seriously last forever even in strong determined breeds). Last thing to mention, is that if you really want to go with indestructible, prefer something that’ll keep them busy for a lot longer periods of time, then get the weighted feeder kong balls. I put some dog food into ours along with some soft small very strong smelling treats and my dogs work on this for HOURS. It’s how they get their meals or at least part of their meal each day. You can fed the whole meal this way if you want. They come in different sizes but the biggest size has worked perfectly for all of my dogs (weights range from 35 to 150lbs). They knock it over and the snack or treat falls out of a little hole. Then they keep working on it little by little, it’s really a great option for keeping them distracted! Just be sure to take it away when they’re not using it anymore so they don’t learn to guard it. This is true with any toy, treat, bone, or food. Offer a few times a day then take away when they’re no longer interested. Free feeding is one of the worst habits to start and makes it difficult for owners to tell quickly when something is off with their pet. I learned this the hard way! (Google this if you don’t believe me) I would still consider these Kong balls to be indestructible IF you use them properly. I have huge, strong dogs, a sharp toothed and very busy heeler and both have had theirs for 4 years without incident and not even a puncture mark into either one. I filled with “mini” milk bones and broken in half “small” milk bones but just read another reviewer said they freeze theirs with pnut butter and treats inside. Sounds messy but sounds like a great idea! Cant wait to try! Hope this helps!Momzymo

Amazing! Amazing at entertainment for my dog. Love how we can stick big treats in there and keep him busy whenever we have to leave the house. I think it's a must for training your dog. Be sure to replace it whenever there is damage. As I know a friend's dog had a piece of Kong stuck in his intestine and had to get surgery to remove it. So best to keep the toy until you notice any wear or tear. I like how it has multiple sizes and has really good durability.. this is a really good investment for your dog! We have found many creative ways to entertain our husky/German shep/malamute mutt who has high energy and high affinity to treats. 10/10 would recommend. There's also some Kong specific treats you can find meant to fit into the toy to make it very difficult for the dog to remove it. We like that there is a lot of creative ways to use it. We had two on rotation for when our puppy was teething and needed a lot of attention. Frozen treats allowed for the pup to work on the kong. We use it at home mainly but we do bring it over to our friends house when our dog is staying the night because we are out of town. It's just another tool they can use if they find he needs to calm down and focus instead of rambunctious and playing.terri.n

This is the old classic rubber Kong dog toy. I have the regular size and the small size for my boxer and for my Boston terrier. Its shape causes it to bounce in random directions. My dog absolutely loves this toy. I've put everything in that thing. I have broken up some single ingredient treats and stuffed them in Kong. We refer to my dogs as having ADHD, or a very SHORT attention span, but not with this toy they absolutely love it!! . I put treats as well as peanut butter bananas or yogurt then put them in the freezer. The freezing slows down their ability to clean out the inside quickly so the game lasts a little longer. The rubber is hard enough so they cannot chew through it yet soft on their teeth and gums. The hole is large enough to easily fill the inside as well as wash out the inside after use. Definitely buy multiples so that there are some in the freezer ready to go on those hot days or on those days that you just need a little time to get something done while your dog is occupied. All in all I completely recommend these toys for all dogs of any shape and size.Ysabel

When our golden retriever was a puppy, we bought him so many of the Kong brand toys. This particular one is completely round with a hole in the middle. We would often fill it with dog safe peanut butter and then freeze it. We also would fill it with treats and let him have a blast trying to get them out. I have a mini Aussie and he tears up toys like it is his main purpose in this planet! Anything KONG does not disappoint! We love that we can use these as indoor and outdoor toys! Kong has been my go to brand primarily because I went through many 'toys' before I found the ONE that lasts even with big chewing. As a puppy both my papillon and english bulldogs could destroy a toy in a record window of time. This brand may cost a bit more but the quality and durability has made me a believer. They have a good range of chewy toys and the label is accurate to the level of 'bite'.tamie.l

Bought dragon kong shaker for 9 month old wolfhound puppy, given on Christmas day, destroyed by Boxing day. Finding it virtually impossible to find toys that last, but one day is not great, hence low scores across the board. Would probably be great for a smaller breed.Anonymous

My dog made teeth marks all over it in a light playing session. She is still a puppy and not very aggressive. I took it away before she ripped it but it will not last long. But it is super cute and has different textures maybe a dog that doesnt really play but cuddles would do less damage.emptymycloset4me
