I bought Elmer for my miniature dauchshund, we recently adopted her and were told she did not play with toys. Well, she loves Elmer. She plays with him and carries him around, and tries to get his squeaker out, but hasn't been able to. He's lovely and strong and I would recommend him to anyone.VALERIE J

I've used a lot of different products. However, Only Natural Pet is the one that works the best. We have six indoor cats and it is a challenge to keep the house smelling fresh. Thankfully, we have a large screened in porch. That porch coupled with Only Natural does the trick.Patricia W.

We thought this toy would be really fun for our labs and a great way to entertain them. The older one doesn't care for it. Our younger one keeps getting her jaw stuck in the teeth of the toy trying to get any treats we put in, and then it slices up her bottom jaw. We've had to stop using it for food dispensing and only for playing with.ESho

Love the kong rubber toys for our dog, they're the only ones she can't immediately chew through. Our last Leo lasted over 2 years before needing replacing. Great product!KayD

You needed a bigger size. Generally, I would recommend sizing up once or twice anyway. The smaller ones are too small and not as thick of material therefore easier for any size dog to tear up. Additionally, if the toy isn’t full of snacks, take it away. Don’t let them chew on the toy itself just as a chew toy. That is another reason why the toy may get damaged. If the dog is focused on getting the snack out, they’ll be much less focused on destructive behaviors and tearing things apart. If you have a puppy, remember they teethe and it HURTS. They self sooth by chewing. Give them things it’s okay to chew on/destroy like Nyla bones (which seriously last forever even in strong determined breeds). Last thing to mention, is that if you really want to go with indestructible, prefer something that’ll keep them busy for a lot longer periods of time, then get the weighted feeder kong balls. I put some dog food into ours along with some soft small very strong smelling treats and my dogs work on this for HOURS. It’s how they get their meals or at least part of their meal each day. You can fed the whole meal this way if you want. They come in different sizes but the biggest size has worked perfectly for all of my dogs (weights range from 35 to 150lbs). They knock it over and the snack or treat falls out of a little hole. Then they keep working on it little by little, it’s really a great option for keeping them distracted! Just be sure to take it away when they’re not using it anymore so they don’t learn to guard it. This is true with any toy, treat, bone, or food. Offer a few times a day then take away when they’re no longer interested. Free feeding is one of the worst habits to start and makes it difficult for owners to tell quickly when something is off with their pet. I learned this the hard way! (Google this if you don’t believe me) I would still consider these Kong balls to be indestructible IF you use them properly. I have huge, strong dogs, a sharp toothed and very busy heeler and both have had theirs for 4 years without incident and not even a puncture mark into either one. I filled with “mini” milk bones and broken in half “small” milk bones but just read another reviewer said they freeze theirs with pnut butter and treats inside. Amazing! Amazing at entertainment for my dog. Love how we can stick big treats in there and keep him busy whenever we have to leave the house. I think it's a must for training your dog. Be sure to replace it whenever there is damage. As I know a friend's dog had a piece of Kong stuck in his intestine and had to get surgery to remove it. So best to keep the toy until you notice any wear or tear. I like how it has multiple sizes and has really good durability.. this is a really good investment for your dog! We have found many creative ways to entertain our husky/German shep/malamute mutt who has high energy and high affinity to treats. 10/10 would recommend. There's also some Kong specific treats you can find meant to fit into the toy to make it very difficult for the dog to remove it. We like that there is a lot of creative ways to use it. We had two on rotation for when our puppy was teething and needed a lot of attention. Frozen treats allowed for the pup to work on the kong. We use it at home mainly but we do bring it over to our friends house when our dog is staying the night because we are out of town. It's just another tool they can use if they find he needs to calm down and focus instead of rambunctious and playing.terri.n

This is the old classic rubber Kong dog toy. I have the regular size and the small size for my boxer and for my Boston terrier. Its shape causes it to bounce in random directions. My dog absolutely loves this toy. I've put everything in that thing. I have broken up some single ingredient treats and stuffed them in Kong. We refer to my dogs as having ADHD, or a very SHORT attention span, but not with this toy they absolutely love it!! . I put treats as well as peanut butter bananas or yogurt then put them in the freezer. The freezing slows down their ability to clean out the inside quickly so the game lasts a little longer. The rubber is hard enough so they cannot chew through it yet soft on their teeth and gums. The hole is large enough to easily fill the inside as well as wash out the inside after use. Definitely buy multiples so that there are some in the freezer ready to go on those hot days or on those days that you just need a little time to get something done while your dog is occupied. All in all I completely recommend these toys for all dogs of any shape and size.Ysabel

I love this little Pig Elephant toy!. The best thing about this toy is not only is it a great size to fit in my dogs mouth but the silence squeak is a fantastic new technology which I have never seen and other dog toys. I bought this as a birthday present for our Newfoundland puppy. We struggle to find toys which are suitable for the large breed dogs but this is perfect. She hasn't been given the toy yet but I can already tell she is going to love the floppiness of it. I can see her now holding it at one end and swinging the body around the living room. The toy is durable to handle our Bichon Frise puppy’s constant chewing and is the right size for him to carry it around with him. We have been a little dab of organic peanut butter inside the toys and raises the fun factor ten fold. I would highly recommend this toy. We will look into a bigger toy once he grows into an adult. I use this to serve my puppy his Kong Ziggy treats. It helps him grip the treat with his paws. I have not tried stuffing it with gooey things that the manufacturer suggests because I don't want that mess being dragged around the house. However it works fine with the Ziggy treats. By far this has become my pups 2nd favorite toy (her first, as she seems to be taking after her sister who passed away before Paisley even came home, is her Lamb Chop). Within seconds of me opening this from the packaging, she was playing with it WITHOUT anything in it … it is a perfect softness (yet strong enough) to soothe her teething. Then I rubbed some all natural peanut butter in it and LOOK OUT … the minute I grab the toy, she's whimpering with excitement and then spends a good hour concentrating on getting the peanut butter out, loving every minute of it. If your dog is like my dog, there is that ONE toy that they neglect 35 other toys for and choose every time. This is THAT TOY. My Riley is a 70-ish-lb lab and is a pretty medium chewer. Not soft by any means, but she’s pretty cool about damage control when she wants a toy to last. Is our Wubba a little worn and torn? Yes. Is it still holding up over a year later? Yes. I was so excited to see Kong had made a soft chew toy! I have probably bought about every single toy besides the two i bought today to add to their collection. Every kong I bought has incredible longevity. this toy he was the most excited about, he loves squeaky soft toys but literally runs through them in 2 minutes. and since it was made from kong, i had total confidence in the durability. boy was i wrong, i gave it to him 10 minutes ago and there’s already a hole in the top. We have a 9 year old staffy X fox terrier who loves to chew and also throw toys around. We got this because we read how durable it was. However after a few months she'd managed to put a hole in it and the string stuff that comes off it is kind of dangerous if ingested… She swallowed a huge wad of string and we had to call the vet in fear of a blockage in her bowel… Just be warned and be careful and monitor your pet if they have a strong chew.Kara

This you was perfect in the fact that, as advertised, it did not have an audible squeak. However, the head of the elephant was full of stuffing which my year old German shepherd quickly uncovered and thoroughly spread throughout my house. That said, she loved the toy and the stuffing she got out of it was still significantly less than your average dog toy. Would buy again.jendclay22

These are great toys. I've been buying them for my dog for about 4 years now. The squeaker is the same that's in a a wubba, very sturdy. There is a small amount of stuffing in the eyes and beak. Kept the foster staff occupied for a while.Steph H.

My dogs love this toy. I have 2 Dobermans and 1 Manchester Terrier. They all love this toy. I usually buy the large ones for my Dobermans and the small ones for my Manchester. The toy makes like a squawking noise and they all love it. It's not a high pitch squeek but more of a lower tone hoooonk noise. The quality of Kong toys is amazing. My one Dobie likes to chew to destroy and this toy will last if I let her play with it supervised and stop her if she gets too aggressive. My other Dobie is a sucker and he doesn't destroy toys. My Manchester will shake his brains out with this toy but also does not chew to destroy. Overall, I rate these toys super high.PrincessMary

My Aussie Shepherd figured out how to get the first ball off in 2 minutes, by 5 minutes had all 3 apart and by 10 minutes had chewed the locking plastic bit off two balls. Terrible product and design- do not get if your dog is a smart dog that likes to pull things apart!TB1983

Was curious on weather the silent squeak really worked. No way we can hear it,so I tried several ways with my French Bulldog. First I put it behind my back and squeezed it. No reaction. Then I tried a toy with a squeaker and put it behind my back and he noticed it. Then I gave him a toy and tried getting his attention with the silent one. No reaction. Then I gave him the silent one and then squeezed one that made noise and he immediately looked up.I tried several times and ways to get his attention with the silent one but he never reacted. I could hear air going thru it when I squeezed , but as far as any sound, if there was one, this dog wasn't hearing it. As far as the toy itself, it was a nice sturdy toy that he enjoyed chewing on. There are many different spots he can grab, a leg or the trunk and different fabrics like the pink hair. For a chew toy its ok but as far as silent squeak , I have my doubts.BOBMERCU

They love to play with toys together and love to play Tug of war, and many toys have been pulled apart through this but not this elephant, it is very durable and it has a silent squeeky that only the dogs ars can hear. My dog truly love this elephant toy. She plays with it nearly everyday. As she is a bit rough with her toys, I am very pleased with how well this stuffed toy elephant has held up with her. She hasn’t put one ripped or tear in it. The only thing that was a concern for me was that the pink hair sheds out a lot, and caused her to gag some. I did brush it to remove some the shedding pieces. But for safety, I went ahead and cut the pink hair off. Overall, I will say this is a great toy. It took Best Mom Friend a while to get me my first Elephant. We always talked about it and about how cute it was, and we FINALLY GOT ONE! Let me tell you, it is PAWSOME!
