This appears to be a high quality toy, but not what I expected. My dog is all about the squeak and I thought this was something he could just chomp down on to get that beloved sound. This is soft but very thick and the only way I could get it to squeak was to bend it quite aggressively in the middle, something my 24 lb dog just isn't capable of doing. My dog loves anything and everything that squeaks, but they don't last long. I've bought him balls for dogs that he has torn apart within minutes. This ball so far has been the exception. It has bristles and like a honey comb texture to it. It also squeaks. It's a very thick neon green ball. No clue what its made out of, but it takes some effort in to making it squeak with one hand. From the moment he got it he went nuts on it. Tibbers has had it for about a week now, and so far it has survived lol. One thing I really like about the the ball is that its survived a week and that's unheard of with my dog .Usually he bites through it if it's cloth and punctured the squeaky sack and ruins it. I received this bright green plastic ball dog toy. This toy is fully plastic and there are no openings in the ball. It does have many ridges and valleys in it to allow your dog to chew. It is a squishy type that the dog is able to chew and squeeze. There is a loud squeaker inside the green ball. I am not the biggest fan of loud squeakers because my dog like to squeak them over and over, but this one is not too bad. This ball also bounces erratically and if you bounce it the toy is supposed to bounce many different ways so the dog is always surprised. The ball also floats! I think it would be a good one for the water and pool. It is a good size for my Boykin Spaniel. It has also held up to a lot of chewing so far!! I like that it does not have an opening and it is a solid ball. Once my dog gets a hold of something he will keep going until it is chewed up, so I am glad this one is still going strong. This is great for those active pets that enjoy hours of fun such as my young Yorkie does. Because he can chase it and entertain himself when I am busy with other things and don't have time to just sit and play, but allows him to expend his energy safely. The only thing about it is due to its size, the little screws to change the batteries are so small (they have to be) that it requires the small eye glass screw driver set, but other than that has held up well and light enough that he can pick it up and/or drag it around. It's not expensive and appears to be made well, but 1. was nearly impossible to open the pocket that houses the ball to insert the 3 x AAA batteries. Actually had to cut the stitching to remove it. 2. My 2 dogs were scared of it and wouldn't even engage with it, possibly because, in addition to jumping around, it has barking and whimpering sound effects (what were they thinking?!?!). 3. If they had played with it as intended, most dogs would grab the tail and shake it side to side. My 3 dogs love them… they play with them so much batteries (3 AAA's) only last about 2 weeks. Only reason I rated product not good quality is because: 1. If it fails you have to depress switch and shake to get toy to work. What I did was to place electronics where I new where the switch was located. 2. Got this toy on a whim from the store and my guy (40lb all-around-mutt) loves it! I filled it with dry treats that are a good size that wouldn't fall right out and he had the BEST time trying to work it out. Let me start off by saying my partner and I LOVE West Paw! Great company with a great mission and amazing sustainability practices. We love the Toppl and wanted to love the Rumbl, but unfortunately on the very first use(we purchased size small), it got stuck on the bottom jaw of our 16 pound King Charles Cavalier. If you have a small to medium size dog with a small, narrow jaw, then I would not recommend this toy. The tabs in the top of the mouth got stuck to his little teeth and hurt him a bit to get off. We will unfortunately be returning this one and opting for another puzzle toy for feeding. Luckily, West Paw has a great guarantee policy so we will continue to be customers for life! I bought the small toppls and my two cavaliers love them. I've used it at dinner time with soft foods and some chopped up pieces of prime100 and it kept them busy for a good 7-ish minutes (which is much longer than the few seconds it usually takes them to practically inhale their food). I love that it can be used with kibble as well as a treat dispenser (although you need to buy two different sized ones to do this). Overall very impressed, but I would recommend waiting until they're on sale to buy.smp
These are amazing. We're in the process of diagnosing some GI issues with our 8 month puppy, and she's on a very limited diet and can't have any treats, chews or bones. It's a terrible age to not be able to give anything but prescription food. She can't be trusted with soft toys or rope toys, and has no interest in kongs or other rubber things. These are perfect for keeping her busy. We pack her kibble and some wet food in them and freeze them. They take her a good 30 minutes or more to finish, and she has yet to damage one. This is NOT for dogs that are already trained or have routines. This also isn't what I'd call any kind of toy. It is hard for the dog, very discouraging even for a puppy. I rated this good quality because it's not built with cheap plastic or put together flimsy but it just isn't any fun. I felt sorry for my dogs and took this back to the store. This is NOT a puzzle toy. The treat compartment is wide open, anything you put in there falls right out. Even frozen concoctions. You may as well just use an ice cube tray. The dog brought it back by the neck less then a dozen times before the stuffing started coming out of the neck. Product thrown in the garbage less then 10 minutes from opening due to safety issues. Let me just say that my dog is absolutely obsessed with this All For Paws Interactive Automatic Ball Launcher Dog Toy, Tennis Ball Throwing Machine for Small and Medium Size Dog Training, 3 Balls Included, Mini Version And I mean beyond obsessed! It is extremely sturdy and it has 3 different settings of how far it throws the balls. The balls are the perfect size for my micro bully and they are also made of high quality and are very durable. She has ripped and torn many balls in the past but these she’s able to catch and chew on them and they are all intact. Unfortunately we lost one ball recently it was launched on the highest setting by accident and it went over the fence into the Main Street but luckily this came with 3 balls so she’s still out here running around and playing non stop. This is the perfect toy for any dog that loves to play fetch. The dog can even play by themselves. Once the ball is placed in the launcher it activates and shoots the ball out. (it automatically shuts off if not in use) Simply place it on the ground near you or where the dog can reach it. My dog caught on extremely quickly on how to return the ball to play again. There are 3 different distances you can set the launcher to 10ft, 20ft, and 30ft. (which is pretty accurate) if using the balls that come with the machine. (includes 3balls) The balls are the perfect size for my Yorkie measuring at aprox 2 inches wide. I found that it will also shoot any ball the same size, such as foam, or squeaky balls, but the distance differs. The machine can run via power cable that is included, or via 6 C batteries. The battery option is amazing for going to the park, and surprisingly lasts for hours. The only issues I have found is once the balls start to get dirty/wet they do not shoot out as well or as far. Also make sure the dog stays clear of the device and is not looking down the launcher to avoid injury. It would also be nice if it had an option to change it to manual. So you could load multiple in and shoot them out to be used for multiple dogs. Pros- Great distance, Dogs can play by themselves, can be used with Batteries or included power cable, CONS- shoots hard so keep pups away from shooter, no manual option for multiple load and shoot on demand, balls do not shoot as well when wet or dirty.ReviewQueen
All For Paws Interactive Automatic Ball Launcher is great product. It works just how described. The device is very well built and the concept is great. The hard part for me is training my puppy to use it. At first, my dog was afraid of the motor sound, it makes a bit of a whirring noise but after two days he got used to the sound. I started with training in increments; getting used to the sound, bring the ball back to me (next to the launcher), dropping the ball into my hands, and dropping the ball in himself (currently working on it). He does not yet feed the ball himself but I think he will learn over time. Something that I do not like about this product is the fuzzy balls. the balls become fuzzy after a few uses and within a few dozen throws. This makes my dog focus more on chewing and removing the fuzzy areas. I am going to look for some that size that are not covered in fuzzy stuff. Another issue that I have with this product is how to clean the inside after all the slobber is pushed past the gears.YM01
