This product didn't work for my dog at all. It just changed the colour of her diarrhea. I think one of the problems is that the directions say to give to your dog every four hours. However, it's cherry flavoured, which my dog didn't find appetizing. Hi everyone….I needed something for a 4 month old kitten that had been sneaking my 8 year old cat's food and had loose stools. I had taken her to the vet for this twice, and was still having trouble so tried this pet pectillin, which sounded like a cat form of kaopectate. (she had taken a prescribed dose of Flagil and I tried pumpkin as well) The kitten was easy to dose so it must be mild flavored, but it never did alleviate the problem. She is now 6 months and still has a looser stool than I would prefer, but two vets were not concerned, so I assume it will normalize over time. She is healthy and drinks a lot of water. After we tried a bottle successfully, I now keep Pet Pectillin on hand for my little dogs' sensitive stomachs. Nothing is wrong with them medically (cleared by vet, possibly stress) but someone may get soft stools occasionally and a few doses of this will help firm up the stools again. Did my research and this seemed to be best way to go. Off I went, and after 2 days, she is fine. Well and Good Anti-Diarrhea Liquid did work. Both of my dogs had diarrhea so I started them on boiled chicken, rice and pumpkin with 1/3 cup a water the first three days. After three days their poop was firmer but still soft so I purchased this at Petco. They would not take this straight they did not like it so I mixed one teaspoon per dog bowl added two tablespoons of pumpkin then 1/3 cup of warm water stirred it up and they both licked the bowls clean. The first dose was given to them at 4 PM and their poop was a lot firmer by 11 Pm that evening. The next morning at 6 am I gave them the second dose and by 12 noon everything was back to normal in the one dog. I will give the third dose tonight at 6 P. I will say for me it really worked! Mixing with water and pumpkin allows the dogs to get more water in their system. HIGHLY recommend! These past few days have been a nightmare with my 12-year old Maltese having severe diarrhea. It's never been this bad before. It started randomly 2 days ago. That morning she had normal poops but randomly in the afternoon she started having diarrhea. When i lost my beloved Tig, i then adopted 3 boy cats. For 3 weeks it was absolutely nuts in my house, and i felt i was babysitting the litter boxes because all 3 boys had the runs. She's a beautiful, petite little 2 year old that is so incredibly loving. We bonded right away. But the chronic diarrhea was really hard to put up with. She would have trouble making it to the littter box in time and track it all over the house, etc. Her stool consistency was pure liquid, and I know she wasn't happy either. I tried other homeopathic drops, prescription food, grain free and minimal ingredient diets. I had been using a couple similar products (same ingredients) with my dog since he started having gastrointestinal issues a few months ago. He's been to the vet and placed on several medications, probiotics, stool-hardening "pastes", etc., all with limited to no success. I've been having to home cook his meals since this all started, and have only been able to mix in small amounts of GI commercial/prescription food before the GI issues return. For a month, I had been giving him Kaolin/Pectin with 1 of 3 meals a day, and this seemed to help his stools stay firm. Except for the days I didn't add it to a meal, there was no diarrhea. Anyway, the other products were both out-of-stock, so I figured I would try this. The ingredients were the same, so I was hoping for the same effect. Unfortunately, there were ZERO reviews posted, so I had limited information to go by. My dog has had diarrhea every single day since he started receiving this, even after adding it to all 3 meals a day! I stopped adding in commercial food thinking it would help. It did not. I've noticed this formula isn't quite as thick as the other formulas, so maybe the ratio of ingredients is slightly different? Regardless, I would not purchase this again, nor would I recommend it. My cat was a rescue and will eat nonstop if allowed. When we feed her, she eats aggressively and then throws up about 10-20 minutes later. We tried everything to stop this: crushing her food, soaking it in water, soft foods, smaller portions more often, & different types brands over the past 2 years, but nothing worked. Since using FortiFlora, most of his issues have been resolved. He loves the flavor. I believe it's beef and it's so easy to give it to him. You just sprinkle the packet on his food once a day and that's all. I've tried treat probiotics in the past and he wasn't a fan of the taste of them. Also I had to make sure he chewed them completely for them to work. The powder just makes it so much easier. It is pricey but well worth it. First an introduction to Barnie the bichon… He’s 13 years young with one, heart failure and osteoarthritis. As you can imagine, this makes him not the most active pup in the park as he gets tired pretty quickly even though he loves his walks. Bert is old and has a few gas issues. Well a lot of gas issues really and sharing a room with him is sometimes not so much fun. The Purina Pro Plan Forti Flora sachets have made a huge difference to his gut issues and his enjoyment of eating. There is now much less tummy grumbling and much less gas. The sachets are so easy to mix with his normal wet food and Bert enjoys eating it. He seems to have got his appetite back since adding the sachets to his food, and is enjoying the taste, and I also think the good smell is helping too. I have been giving it once a week. I would like to see some more instructions in the pack but other than that we are very happy. I just need to give a major shout out to this amazing company! My Tika girl was having chronic diarrhea. She is now 10 years old and I was convinced there was something majorly wrong with her. The vet couldn’t figure anything out and we were dealing with issues for months! Being in a new house with a beloved dog having accidents everywhere was so hard to deal with. I tried so many different foods that were high end and supposedly good to help with digestion and bowel issues and nothing was working. 🙁 During one of my many hours of research on what I could do to help my girl I came across Dr Harvey’s food and all the reviews from pet parents suffering from the same issues as us (and others even much worse). It’s a bit pricy but honestly not as bad as some bagged food with all the unhealthy additives or even the script foods. Hi! A miracle has occurred in Forest Hills! I took Baci on a long walk in the hope of increasing her appetite and then fed her Canine Health. I used raw lamb as a protein and then added a couple of the freeze dried tripe pieces, Runs Be Done and a little liverwurst. Well to my amazement she actually ate the food! I am a little concerned about the liverwurst because of the toxins in the liver, but it was only about an ounce. Hopefully, she will continue to eat the food as I believe this will help what I believe to be IBS.

I give my dog a few spoonfuls of canned pumpkin from the grocery store with every meal, so I bought these to be a more convenient travel option, but honestly I’m pretty disappointed. My only real complaint is how incredibly watered down these little packets are! Zesty Paws Probitoic Bites are cute: Heart-shaped treat, in a can't-miss sturdy orange container. There's also a generous number of bites packed into the packaging, sure to last a while for the average household. Each heart-shaped treat is soft but sturdy; its form is well retained which makes for easy splitting. I started my dog on the half treat dose for a week or so. My dog loves pumpkin flavor and food in general, so there were no issues with consumption. This particular formulation is labeled Gut Health which is great, but unfortunately, my dog's gut is extremely sensitive and every morning he vomited. I can't say for certain if Zesty Paws Probiotic Bites was the cause, but I took him off of the probiotic after a week and the vomiting ceased. Although I cannot continue using this probiotic, I would still recommend to friends and family with pets who have less sensitive stomachs. It appears to be a high quality product with sturdy, well-formed treats. I purchased these for my Kimi and Kenny in training. they have sensitive stomach and eats grain free high-quality food. they having some issues with having soft stools which made it difficult to clean up behind her. I got these hoping that they would firm them stool up a little. They quickly did and now it is much easier to clean up when they potties. They absolutely loves the taste and gets excited when they sees the container. They eats it without a problem as if it's a treat.
