My 14 year old Papillon started having bowel problems in June and while she was eating more than ever, she continued to lose weight going from low 9# to 6.6# by August. My dog ate this willingly only twice. I've even dipped it meat juice & he will not eat it. If I crush it in his food he rejects the whole bowl. He is not picky at all. so these must taste pretty bad. They are very dry. no idea if they work or not, can't see results if he won't eat them. I can assume the ingredients are medicinal. So I have a beabull, mostly English bulldog. He’s a 7/8 mix. Out of nowhere his cute little black nose started getting crusty and cracked. I waited a while and it didn’t let up. A friend said there was nothing you could do but I found this online. I didn’t think it would work but we are on day four and his nose is DRASTICALLY improved. He hates when I put it on (he does that with everything ever though) so I have to put some peanut butter on a spoon and have him lick it after I apply it to his nose or he’ll just lick it right off his nose. I bought this for my dog’s (14 year old Shar Pei) keratin buildup on his nose and paws. It dissolved the stuff great and I was able to wipe off the stuff on his paws after one application. That was really impressive. My dog has fairly mild Hyperkeratosis but his nose gets a fairly thick layer of buildup, and this product allows you to remove it fairly easily after a few applications over a couple days and a cooperative pooch. I was really impressed with how well it worked. I use it now preventatively which prevents bad buildup on his nose and paws, so all in all I’m certainly a big fan. I recommend at least the 2oz can if you think you’ll use it on the paws. The 2 oz can generally lasts me a couple months even with multiple applications per day. I have been Purchasing FREEZE DRIED or Dehydrated. STEWART Pro Treats Beef or Chicken Liver For years . This product arrived in it's usual 11.5 oz TUB. Upon opening all the pieces inside were particles, tiny pieces, Dust Crumbles; more suitable for a food topping than a hand out treat. This is not my 1st learned lesson with this Tub of Treats by Stewart's. Unfortunately some vendors carry the 100 & 350 piece TUB (considered Small & Large) the picture is deceiving The 475 piece 21 oz (Usually called Large also) is the only GOOD ONE. I have since switched back to the 21 ounce TUB of CUBES (sliced squared & rectangle shaped.) Much more durable treat to hand to you pet. Consisting of various sizes of sliced pieces not fragmented crumbled 1/4 tidbits.( although the package states the smaller tub is sliced cubed it is NOT. This Treat is misleading do your research find the 21 oz and you & your pets will be pleased. Don't purchase the 11.5 oz size tub unless all you want is a FOOD Flavor enhancing power. have only been using this for 3 weeks after a recommendation from a friend, on a flatulent spaniel who insists on eating everything not nailed down and therefore has the waistline of a whale and gut problems to boot, so far Ive seen a slight improvement in his eating habits and an improvement in his stools, but its too soon to tell. A puppy was pretty much dropped in my lap several days ago, her belly was SO bloated as she hadn't had any vet care prior. Before even getting her home I pondered the wormers at our local Petco, selected this one. On day 3 the worms came out, though her poor bloated belly was reduced after the first day. Will use this again if worming can't wait for the vet. Due to her weight we did have to weigh out the medicine (half a gram ='s 1/4 teaspoon), and you must have an accurate weight on the dog and an accurate measuring device for it to be as effective as it can be without giving too much. during the late fall to the end of winter I give these to my dogs to prevent worms. Then early spring I switch over to Heartguard. You get three packs. I use two packs per dog per month. Each pack 40 pounds. Total 80 pound dog. Sprinkle in with a quarter cup of warm broth, stir well. pour over their dry food and blend in. They won't notice and eat their food. Sneaky but, it works. Saves me tons of money. I have two large dogs and Heart-guard can be very expensive every month so I subsitute during the cool to cold months. You save and your dogs stay healthy from worms. A puppy was pretty much dropped in my lap several days ago, her belly was SO bloated as she hadn't had any vet care prior. Before even getting her home I pondered the wormers at our local Petco, selected this one. On day 3 the worms came out, though her poor bloated belly was reduced after the first day. Will use this again if worming can't wait for the vet. Due to her weight we did have to weigh out the medicine (half a gram ='s 1/4 teaspoon), and you must have an accurate weight on the dog and an accurate measuring device for it to be as effective as it can be without giving too much. Saves me tons of money. I have two large dogs and Heart-guard can be very expensive every month so I subsitute during the cool to cold months. You save and your dogs stay healthy from worms. The product works great, however read this carefully to determine the quantity to order, the website is misleading. The manufacturer sells the product in 1 gram (small dog), 2 gram (medium dog), and 4 gram (large dog) sizes. Each package contains 3 packets to be given over 3 days. In order to get the correct amount for your dog's weight, you may need to order more than one package. According to the manufacturers instructions, you need to administer one gram of product (daily) for every ten pounds of animal weight. So, up to: 10 lbs = 1 gram; 20 lbs = 2 grams; 30 lbs = 3 grams; 40 lbs = 4 grams; 50 lbs = 5 grams; 60 lbs = 6 grams, etc. So, if your dog weighs 11 to 20 lbs, you need to order a 2 gram (medium dog) size and give him 1 packet per day for 3 days. But if your dog weighs 21-30 lbs, you need to order a 1 gram (small dog) AND a 2 gram (medium dog) package, and give your dog a packet from each size for 3 days. I’ve always had the hardest time getting my dog to take medicine. Cheese didn’t work, peanut butter didn’t work, pill pockets, nothing ever worked. She would eat around the pill and spit it back out. I was reluctant to get this when it sys fits all pill sizes and it comes in a 4 OZ container. It is an entirely new concept on hiding pills., Instead of a preformed pocket to put the pill in you create it. I opened the container and what I found was one big round ball much like play-dough. What a simple idea. My large dog takes 4 pills every morning and we may be able to mask the first few but after that it is a struggle with the old single pill pockets. With this I was able to take two at a time (I probably could do all 4 but if he spits it out it would be very messy) roll enough dough around it that he was more than happy to eat it. The dough is a little bit thicker than peanut butter so it is pliable and will hide the pills well.zukus

I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. Im not a vet but am thinking whatever it was it was some type of fungal infection. Benefits of product; it wasnt expensive, was easy to apply, and has a light pleasant scent.Debbie

I am so thankful to have found this today! My poor dog could not stop scratching and licking under his front legs, and they were raw and bleeding. He was whimpering but would not stop. I came home and sprayed the areas with this, and he didn’t freak out like I thought so I know it didn’t hurt! He became calm and only tried to lick a few times before he relaxed and rested. I couldn’t stand watching him so agitated and am very thankful for this product! I also bought the shampoo and will be giving him a bath with it later.MomofOllie
