It should come as little surprise that any cat is going to hate having a liquid put in their ears. My cat hated her very expensive prescription medication that never did fully eradicate her ear mites, so I didn't expect her to feel differently about this product. It's too early to say with 100% confidence that this is going to knock out the now only slight, but persistent ear mite problem she seems to have, but so far, so good (3 days of applications). The only tricky thing is remembering which ear I got on each application because there is no way on earth that I can get her to let me do both ears at once. It says it will get rid of bacteria, viruses and is antifungal, which sounds like it ought to cover everything. My kitten has that typical dark brown stuff in her ears. It didn't work better than the standard cat ear cleaners. I used it almost daily for two weeks or so. It loosens the gunk so you can wipe it out but doesn't get rid of it at it's source, which is the whole point. There's new dark brown gunk still being made down in her ears daily. She is an inside only cat and we have no other pets. The vet has now prescribed drops that include a steroid. Hope that finally clears it up.tklp
I rescued a dog. He had bad ear mites, took care of those with mineral oil. Took him to a vet and for the same old make money bit, he had an ear infection. So, he got antibiotics orally. I highly recommend this product. I’ve been using Zymox for years. My terrier mix has Ear Edge Dermatitis. It’s incurable and usually tears up the edges of the ear from constant cell overgrowth (auto immune) and dogs will be plagued with constant ear issues and itching. When I notice him itching, I put a few drops in ear and massage into ear canals, then rub into the edges of ears. I had used this before, without success for my cocker spaniel. So, this was my 2nd attempt. It worked great in 1 ear, but not the other. I used it for 14 days, and on day 15, the infection was back in the one ear, but gone in the other. Product works great on certain infections, but not for others unfortunately. I've always liked Zymox products, but this one really impressed me! GSD/BC mix has had continual ear issues since having a hematoma drained in her right ear. The ear lays over and is full of thicker tissue which seems to hold in a ton of moisture. This last bout of pain and scratching was making her (and me!) absolutely crazy and, after a week of use, the regular Zymox I always have on hand just wasn't cutting it. I did a bit of searching and found the Zymox plus advanced formula and figured I'd give that a try before resorting to a vet visit, antibiotics, steroid drops, etc. After the second day of use, she stopped shaking her head, scratching and whining. After the fifth day, all the redness and drainage was gone. I stopped using it on after the seventh day and she has been great ever since. Highly recommend!cathleecollin_0

I have a Schweenie ( half shih tzu/dachsund), she suffers from ear infections due to her long flappy ears. I have an English Bulldog mix puppy and it seems like I am always bathing or cleaning him in some way. He likes to get in to things and get dirty but he does not like taking baths. Lately I have noticed that his ears have been much dirtier then normal so I have been keeping an eye on him to make sure I can keep his ears clean. I was cleaning his ears with just some cotton swabs and a little bit of cleaner before but I figured I needed to find something that was actually made to help dogs ears. When I saw this ear cleaner on the site I figured I would give it a try to see how it worked and if it would help my pup out. I used it on his ears shortly after I received it in the mail to see if it would help. The ear cleaner is made with all natural ingredients and is a powerful formula but gentle enough for sensitive ears. It contains aloe vera, Boswallia Berrata gum, tea tree oil, vitamin e and oak extract. It doesn't contain any harsh chemicals or toxins and is safe to use with dogs of all ages and breeds. It is supposed to help reduce inflammation and heal ear aches, rashes, itchiness and any general discomfort for the dogs as well as helping keep ears clean and healthy. It is really easy to use and not much is needed when it is used. I applied the cleaner to my dogs ears by putting a couple drops inside his ears and then massaging them gently so it would go down inside and then I cleaned the inside of his ear with a cotton swab. He did not like it the first couple times I used it because I think he was not used to it but after that he didn't mind it. I have used it several times now and it is seeming to help keep his ears clean from all the grime that was inside of them. I haven't had any problems with this ear cleaner so far and am happy that I found it because it is actually helping my pup. Not only do I love it, but my cats love it. It smells great, so they don't have to run around smelling awful. It is not greasy or anything like that. My cats usually don't like me putting anything in their ears, but they don't seem to mind this. I can't attest to how they feel about it, but I like it. It is easy to use and there isn't alot of mess to clean up afterwords. They haven't been scratching around their ears as much, they don't have ear mites or anything like that, I just think they were dry. So I think this helps moisturize them some because they have quit scratching.
