This works great for our 16 year old tuxedo cat. She is still able to groom herself however she gets frequent hair balls and this helps her expel it. She also has scoliosis of the spine in which she is given meds to help alleviate her pain but causes constipation. I have used Happy Jack 40+ years but after moving off the farm 15 years ago forgot all about it and began using holistic medications, etc. Well, I do rescue and got a little jack russell with 70% of her body scarlet, oozie red, infected red ears, thick red, hairless legs, tail, chest and face. She had been ill for so long her skin was very thick and discolored. I spent hundred of dollars for 4 months without results then ran across Happy Jack again in the Tractor Supply. My dog was scratching constantly causing hot spots an scratches that bled a little not to mention she had this smell that's was offensive. The only reason I am not giving this heartworm an EXCELLENT rat8ng is because I have to admit my fur girl has never had HW’s before and she hates the taste of your product. I have two frenchies, and I'm all for avoiding toxic chemicals as much as possible. especially when it comes to heartworm meds. Which the vets try to fear-monger you into getting. I've been to 3 different vets and all say the same thing. (New York and Texas). To start: I NEVER gave my boys heartworm meds that they tell you to take. I found HWF when I first got my frenchie and I made a commitment to keep him as healthy as possible. Starting with HWF. Now living in both New York and Texas (especially Houston), Mosquitos are no joke. My annual vet visits consist of the vets telling me I HAVE to give them their prescription meds to my babies or else they will get heartworm. And each time I go, I tell them what I give them, and they immediately judge and tell me that's wrong and it doesn't work. And then I always respond with: do the heartworm blood test and tell me then. I've had them take their blood two years in a row. BOTH TIMES WERE NEGATIVE. Which the doctor and nurse roll their eyes, and proceed to say that it's not 100% accurate (the test). I just laugh. And the only reason I take my boys to the vet is for their rabies vaccine (which I wish wasn't mandatory). Mind you, these vets also try to sell their food (purina) after they find out I feed my boys raw which they, of course, disapprove of. Vets these days just want to make money and make your dog sick. HWF has been causing my 100-lb dog to be constipated, and she seems to not feel well and is less energetic. I could not complete the Basic Detox, which I stopped after about 12 days because Cocoa was not doing well. I then went to the Maintenance schedule, so I gave her a week off and after a few days she got back on track with her pooping habits and energy. My dog ate this willingly only twice. I've even dipped it meat juice & he will not eat it. If I crush it in his food he rejects the whole bowl. He is not picky at all. so these must taste pretty bad. They are very dry. no idea if they work or not, can't see results if he won't eat them. I can assume the ingredients are medicinal. My dog Max is a Manchester terrier and he has had a real bad time with allergies the last few months. He was miserable and I hated seeing him suffer. I love how versatile this is! I have 3 dogs. My largest being 80lbs and two 10lb dogs. I love that unlike some calming treats that have to be broken up due to size or more for my larger dog this I can measure out and each dog gets just what they need. My GSD has bad separation issues (we adopting him and he was kenneled all the time so he gets really nervous) This calming infusion has taken the edge off. He seems to be much calmer in the past week when we give him it before bed or before we leave. My little dogs like it also. They loved the flavor and are excited for it.
My small Feist breed has developed severe separation anxiety and aggression which has become unsafe and unhealthy for her. I decided to try this calming solution because of its healthy ingredients and it's working wonderfully. I have to mix small treats with it so she will eat it but giving half of the recommended dose in the morning keeps her calm but still playful throughout the day. We give her the full recommended dose when we're gonna be gone for long periods of time. We have seen a drastic change in her behavior. She still wants to be close to us but is not longer whining and chewing household items. Her aggression has seemed to slow down as well. I highly recommend you try this for your dog if they are experiencing anxiety issues.
To put it simply, I have a nervous wreck of a pitty. I love that this is liquid and super easy to add to her bowl of food. My girl definitely noticed a change and we had to do a super slow introduction with it. We're still not up to the dose she should be at for her weight. My dog went into kidney failure at 8 1/2. Not sure what caused it, It could have been from a tick bite or he may have eaten something. He spent two nights in the emergency hospital on IV fluids. After two nights in the hospital The vet told me to put him down. Kidney levels were so bad he could not recover. When I Went to say my goodbyes I thought they would hand me a lethargic dog. Lollie, a Papillon mix rescue dog had her gallbladder removed a few years ago after terrible gastro intestinal issues that did not totally resolve after surgery. Full disclosure: 1.) I'm not a vet, and this is purely allegorical. 2.) We still don't know if my dog's kidney panel levels are improving. We will be scheduling an appointment soon. But with all of that out of the way, let me just say that I was at a low point in terms of hope for my 13-year old Pit mix. Diagnosed with chronic renal failure several years ago, she was placed on medication and a special (expensive!) canned food diet. She didn't mind it at first but over the years, started eating less and less. Even adding carby goodness in the form of rice and sweet potatoes or extra flavoring like low-sodium chicken broth became insufficient to entice her to eat. I was barely getting a can a day into her. She started at a 55 lbs and dropped below 40 in a relatively short time. She looked emaciated. Legs became week and wobbly. She had tremors and was pouting virtually 24/7. She was the most miserable she's been in our 13 years together. I was sure we were nearing the end. But in searching for solutions online, I ran across Dr Harvey's Canine Health (and subsequently the Kidney Health Supplement). I read all the reviews and decided it was worth a shot. About a month in, we've almost gotten through her first 10-lb bag and she's still begging for her food at every meal. I feel like I have my puppy back. She's started to put a little healthy weight back on and just seems to have so much more energy. We've cycled through chicken, steak, boiled egg whites, and salmon as the protein add-ons – making sure to keep an eye out for high phosphorous levels – and my dog is drooling at her bowl waiting for me to load it up at every meal. After years of desperately trying to get her to eat, I'm not sure I can express the weight that lifted off of me as this became (and continues to be) our daily routine! And I don't even know if my vet would condone this diet change (though we have had conversations about the balance between keeping her happy in her later years vs. following a strict medical regimen). What I do know is my dog was wasting away on a prescription diet and I had to make a call as a parent to make her remaining years happy and filled with yummy meals. That's my experience. I think it falls in line with the vast majority of other reviewers. If I had it to do all over again, I'd start with this type of diet from day one. I can identify everything in the bag just by looking at it. There's no mystery about what my girl is eating. That's worth the world to me. Added bonus, for what it's worth: Dr Harvey's food actually smells good. The prescription food cans were really unpleasant to deal with. My wife is smell-sensitive and didn't want them anywhere near our kitchen or people food. But she has actually commented that Canine Health smells like something she would eat for breakfast!

This is an excellent product with the best ingredients to heal (not just treat) intestinal lining problems. My girl has a bad case of IBS and was constantly crying and in horrible pain even after I put her on an organic home made diet. I bought the power version and for 3 weeks I mixed it in with her wet food as directed and did NOT do anything. Her 24×7 pain was excruciating for her and for me so I did not give up. After doing a lot of research, I realized that similar 'human' products for the same problems suppose to be given 30 minutes before meals. So, I diluted it in water and added a bit of sweat potato (for taste) and gave it to her, 30 minutes before her food, and IT WORKED! Like a miracle her pain was gone. For the first time after 3 months she was able to sleep peacefully. She is 11 lb so I give her 1/8 tsp of the powder and ¼ tsp of sweat potato (for taste) diluted in 1-2 tablespoons of water, 20 minutes before her meals, 3 times per day. I also give her probiotics, digestive enzymes, DGL(Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice), and Seacure (contains L-glutamine which repairs the mucosal lining) all mix with her food and I am happy to said she is no longer in any pain and on her way to full recovery! Just remember if you get the power version dilute it in water first (you don't have to do that with the liquid version) AND please give it 20 minutes BEFORE meals if your dog is in bad shape like mine.Loving pet owner

My Bichon has inflammatory bowel disease which has caused loose stools sometimes with blood. I tried changing her food, but she still had bouts of it. She has also been very uncomfortable a few times when she had an episode of it. Since I started giving her the Colon Rescue 2-3 times daily she has had only one or two short episodes of diarrhea. My 12 year old chihuahuas liver blood work came back very very high so her vet put her on Denamarin. When we did her follow up blood work 4 months later her numbers tripled.
