I've always liked Zymox products, but this one really impressed me! GSD/BC mix has had continual ear issues since having a hematoma drained in her right ear. The ear lays over and is full of thicker tissue which seems to hold in a ton of moisture. This last bout of pain and scratching was making her (and me!) absolutely crazy and, after a week of use, the regular Zymox I always have on hand just wasn't cutting it. My poodle has a lot of ear hair that needs to be cleaned often. In between baths, the smell can get kinda funky. Used this ear rinse to see if it would help and it does. It keeps the waxy smell away longer but it's not mask any existing smells. It's easy enough to use and my dog doesn't seem to mind it too much. I would definitely keep using this product since it keeps the freshness in between baths and if it helps prevent ear infections. I was given the opportunity to try the Vetericyn plus antimicrobial ear rinse for free. I did like this product over others I've used in the past. Other products have a smell and my dogs walk around smelling like it after getting their ears cleaned. What I like about Vetericyn Plus is that it has no odor to it so my dogs can have clean ears without smelling like chemicals afterwards. Found this ear rinse for dogs at Walmart by Pet Armor brand. It's priced very reasonably at under five dollars tax an all so it's affordable for most pet parents. We had no choice but to find a safe ear cleaning solution bc our dogs are pitty's with unclipped ears so they're prone to dirt/wounds. This solution seemed to work very well without causing further irritation. After rinsing, wiping out, and cleaning his ears we've noticed a huge decline in his head shaking/scratching so I'd say it's definitely a great pet parent item to have on hand!megan.p

I have a West Highland White Terrier and he has had ear infections practically from day one. I have probably spent thousands of dollars taking him to different vets and buying prescriptions that they prescribed. The bottle of Major Ear drops was given to me after a regular ear drainage appointment, and it has caused me such pain and disappointment to where I will never use it again. Not only is the bottle absolutely a pain to deal with, either spurting out multiple drops at once or none at all, the side effects that the doctors do not discuss with you before prescribing include massive headaches and potential increased ear pain which I have been dealing with since I stopped using it. I now have to be prescribed steroids to counteract the pain that I have to deal with. Not at all a recommendation unless you want to pay extra for steroids and ibuprofen after you're using the drops.jeff emerson
