Our dog loved it,…he was very excited with it. He's a pit bull bit is usually fairly gentle on his toys. But this one only lasted about 2-3 play sessions of him squeaky and chewing on it, before he tore part of the end off. So that was the end of it. Otherwise it seemed like a nice toy. We bought this yesterday, and our Labrador loves it! If we squeeze it softly with the squeaker-hole pointing at her nose, the bacon smell is extra strong and she goes mad over it! I received this wonderful toy free from Hartz Happy Tails to test and review. All of my dogs thoroughly enjoy this toy. I have a Brussels Griffon, a toy dog, that requires different toys than my Boxer & Great Dane because her breed's flat nose and flat mouth can't easily grip many toys that medium and large sized dogs can. This toy is perfect for her. I have found that it is easy to clean after the dogs have played with it outside, as well as after playing with it inside the house. None of my dogs are destructive with their toys so this toy has held up extremely well for them. I am so happy to have been able to test & review it and I plan on buying some too add to my dog's toy baskets and for outside. The color of the Dura Play Disc I received is bright green, which the photo of my toy dog playing with it shows, and so it was easy to see it in the leaves, and it will certainly be easily seen in the snow this winter when they have their outdoor play times. I'm sure it will be easy to see in the green grass of summer too due to the bright shade of green that it is. This toy is easy on the dog's teeth when we're tugging on it while playing with them, especially my toy dog's, and it hasn't torn nor been punctured even though it's very soft and squishable. Like most dogs mine love that it squeaks. I am very pleased with the Hartz Dura Play Disc. I don't yet know if it comes in other colors but if it does I'll be buying one of every color. I was very happy to try the Hartz Dura Play Disc. When I gave it to my dog, at first, he just kind of looked at it like what is that and walked away. All 4 dogs I've given these balls to have absolutely loved them. I would consider 3 of the 4 dogs as "aggressive players," meaning many of their favorite toys end up at least somewhat shredded not long after they arrive, but these toys are somehow not like the others! The balls are soft but surprisingly durable. I will say, they destroy the bone-shaped toy MUCH faster than the ball-shaped toy, I think it's the angle they can bite the bone vs the angle of the large ball. It's an inexpensive toy and definitely a fan favorite. It's soft and it squeaks and it smells like bacon inside, so when we squeak the ball by their faces they go absolutely nuts because the air coming out of the toy smells like bacon. They love it so much, I highly recommend this product! Also, I ordered one for a friend's dog and their Walmart had the product in their nearby store and delivered the toy just 9 hours after I ordered it. That's the fastest delivery I've ever heard of!! I’ve never personally purchased these but my neighbors do for their dogs. Not once but twice in 1 year and 4 days, my dog (140lb Rottweiler) has gotten ahold to the large size balls chewed it and swallowed it (whole) causing her to have to have surgery to remove it from her intestines. So save yourself from a $2500 surgery and almost killing your dog by avoiding purchasing this ball. When i selected this toy i thought it would be the type of toy you put treats in and the dog has to get out. I was surprised to see that it wasn't. The first thing i noticed out of the package was its smell. It was apparently a bacon scent. It smelt like a mix of mest and rubber to me but my dog seemed to enjoy it. My dog was a senior rescue who'd never played with toys in his life. I tried to get him to play with plush toys, rope toys, balls, etc and he wasn't interested in any of them. This ball toy has become a favorite for Lilly. It smells yummy to me and I think it's one of the reasons she liked it right away. It's perfect for her to play with because it's small and soft and I really love that it's a soft material because she's a little old so I worry about things being too hard but she doesn't have any problems picking this up. It's still whole and it's been over a week so I think it's durable and worth getting. You can still smell the bacon smell on it too. Everytime she sees it she perks up and gets excited. My dogs love these balls. I love to watch the younger dog play with this ball. She plays with it all the time. She stands on her back legs and pounces on the ball with her front paws to make it squeak, she hits it and chases after it. She will flip it with her nose to roll it to me so I will roll it back to her. She even takes it to her crate at night when it is time for bed. And of course, she chews on it. A lot. That is where the problem comes in. I have bought quite a few of these balls because she is rough with them. They usually lasted about 2 weeks to a month. Then I bought the ones with the bacon scent. Those did not last through the day. By the end of the day, there were little rubber bits everywhere along with the stuffing from the ball. When I gave her one of the older balls without the bacon scent that we had put away, again it lasted for a couple of weeks. I can't afford to replace these balls every day. So until I can again find the Dura Play ball without the bacon scent, I guess my dog will have to play with something else.ShdwKnght
This small ball is so much fun. The first thing I noticed is how well this ball is made. It is put together really well, and is very durable which is super important to me. It's made out of a latex which makes it really strong. It even floats so if you get it in water, it's easy to get back! What I really think is cool about this ball, and so do the pups, is that it is bacon scented! This makes them go wild and play with it longer. When i selected this toy i thought it would be the type of toy you put treats in and the dog has to get out. I was surprised to see that it wasn't. The first thing i noticed out of the package was its smell. It was apparently a bacon scent. It smelt like a mix of mest and rubber to me but my dog seemed to enjoy it. My beagle played with it for quite a bit and she normally gets bored very easily. Overall i would not usually get this toy. My dog was a senior rescue who'd never played with toys in his life. I tried to get him to play with plush toys, rope toys, balls, etc and he wasn't interested in any of them. Then I got this toy and he LOVED it! Since then I've given this toy as a gift to all of my friends and family who have dogs and their dogs all love it too. All 4 dogs I've given these balls to have absolutely loved them. I would consider 3 of the 4 dogs as "aggressive players," meaning many of their favorite toys end up at least somewhat shredded not long after they arrive, but these toys are somehow not like the others! The balls are soft but surprisingly durable. I will say, they destroy the bone-shaped toy MUCH faster than the ball-shaped toy, I think it's the angle they can bite the bone vs the angle of the large ball. It's an inexpensive toy and definitely a fan favorite. It's soft and it squeaks and it smells like bacon inside, so when we squeak the ball by their faces they go absolutely nuts because the air coming out of the toy smells like bacon. They love it so much, I highly recommend this product! Also, I ordered one for a friend's dog and their Walmart had the product in their nearby store and delivered the toy just 9 hours after I ordered it. That's the fastest delivery I've ever heard of!! Of all the money I've spent on hard/durable dog toys, this has proved the best and stands up to its description. Our sweet girl is a 45lb Lab/Pit mix and rips apart toys in a matter of minutes with her strong jaw. Love her but its $$$ down the drain! My dog has had many of the Hartz Frisky Frolic yellow ice cream cone toys. I keep one at my house and one at my parents house at all times. I have replaced them when they get too dirty to wash. I cannot find that version anywhere. I purchase the "new" version, but my dog doesn't like it because he wants to be able to pick up the toy comfortably in his mouth. The ice cream cone had a long cone where he would carry it in his mouth. He is not able to keep the "new" version in his mouth and spits it out. I thought this was a cute toy. It’s soft, textured and squeaky. It’s made of a thinner latex so it holds up pretty good to my 20 pound MinPin. However she is not that big of a chewer. I think if your dog chews a lot this may not be the toy for them because it may not hold up. I also like how this little toy bounces when thrown; great for a game of fetch. My beagle was chewing on this bone for less than an hour. I thought it was durable enough to withstand her chewing. I was wrong. She ate a good portion of the pink center and some of the outer portion of the bone in that time. I doubt it’s safe for dogs to eat nylon, but I can’t find any information anywhere. This size is for dogs under ten pounds. My older dog didn't have any interest in it whatsoever but the two puppies I just got played and chewed on it once in awhile. The chew is a treat and toy in one, These are made for dogs that aren't heavy chewers. My concerns with these Chew 'n Clean Dental Duo chew toys are the plastic can be chewed off and ingested, since it smells like the treat inside the dog will think it is food. I also don't like the idea that these are made in China, a country with recalls on various products already. I am also hesitant about the ingredients these are made from, such as corn, rice and potato starch, artificial bacon flavor, a preservative, and artificial yellow coloring. My puppy Chico is only 11 months old. He loves this toy. This is my first purchase but based on how it’s looking, it won’t be my last. He loves this chew toy. Often when I’m ordering a grocery delivery, I’ll peek at the dog toys just before finalizing my order. I have a 7 month old puppy, and while he certainly has enough toys, I’ll often grab something inexpensive to add to his pile and keep him entertained. I wasn’t 100% sure about this toy, since he’s never had a rubber chew toy, just plush ones, but such a low price, I figured we could try it out. And he LOVES it. See, he’s only 8 pounds and unlikely to get much bigger, and while he’s got some formidable little teeth, he’s jaw strength is relative to his size — not much at all. This rubber toy is filled with a super soft foam and a squeaker, and it was soft enough that my little guy could squeak it on his own — which is a big win when we can find a toy that works so well for him. The foam filling also gives it just a little weight, enough that he likes thrashing it around and showing off. And then there’s the shape… it’s great for unpredictable bouncing, so good in fact that my pup decided we needed to play fetch with it — and I hadn’t even taught him to fetch! Eight years ago we received a 5 year old dog from an elderly man who could no longer take care of him. Radar came with a similar toy. We never thought anything more and haven't gotten him one until now. Our Husky is a major fan of toys. Unfortunately, she's drawn to squeaker toys but destroys them almost immediately. I've been very impressed with this Hartz Squekerz, as it's been 5 days since we received it, and it has 3 of the 4 squeakers still intact – a record for our Husky!! She enjoys retreiving it from the toybox when I clean up the floor – of course, a game for her. Kudos to Hartz for developing a toy that Natasha can finally play with for more than a hot second!myfurrkids
When this toy arrived my littlest dog stole it. We have 2 dogs and watching one for my daughter and all grab it now. Anything with a squeaker is usually Peanuts {ShihTzu} but this toy has 4 squeakers. Usually my dogs will Remove the Squeakers real fast but this toy still survives.. I have a medium sized dog that can destroy a stuffie as well as any big time chewer! This toy lasted longer than most. She went for the squeakers first and was able to remove them one at a time, which was expected. But after the squeakers were gone, the toy and its stuffing lasted quite some time.missa4845
