We have a Yorkie that loves this stuff! We started with the rolls and he was really eating it up but after a while it took us having to coax him into eating. We came across these and from the first time we gave it to him, he licks the bowl clean each and every time. It is now the only food that I will feed him. After my 7 month old puppy was healing from a spaying surgery (just got back from) her appetite was gone, but the only thing she would eat was Freshpet chicken treats. We tried giving her normal kibble and some beef wet food but she wouldn't touch it, she's never had beef before though so that might've played a part. My mom decided to try FreshPet and my dog went crazy for it, ate the whole thing in one sitting and even picked up the paper plate and flung it around. She's never ever done that in the 4+ months we've had her, we've tried multiple kibble/wet food brands as well. We've switched to the Vital line rolls and she still likes them, we mix with her normal kibble and she eats around the kibble (she usually comes back to finish it after). This food is definitely worth the price although the feeding guidelines seem a little too much. The kibble we fed promises shiny coats (which it did provide) but with freshpet her coat is even more shiny and she's so much more happier to eat. Why did you change the texture of this bag of dog food??? From a pebble like little ball and go to this stringy like chicken. It is easier to separate the carrots and cranberries out of it. I just got a 8 week old Mini Daschaund, the place gave me some starter food they had been giving her since she could eat. She would lick the water out of the bowl and chew on the food. I tought she was not eating due to anxiety, new place etc. I bought the Beef roll and sliced up a small amount because of her size, she cleaned the bowl, then she went backto the bowl to see if there was any more, so since she had not eaten really the day before I sliced a bigger chunk, she again cleaned the bowl. My 15 year old italian Greyhound -Lexi was declining due to old age which was very sad. I was beside myself and thought maybe a change in food might help so we decided to.give freshpet a try. To our amazement, we gave her the recommended amount and before our eyes it was like her life was revived. Mine you, the vet said it would be up and down but this was up all the way. She may pass by the end of the year or even two weeks or not at all, but because of your food she has the vitality she needs to stay with us a little longer. Both dogs love all the products and aside from making their dog food myself Freshpet is the only food that has helped my large dog who has terrible allergies!! That being said there isn’t enough room on here for all of my suggestions/comments/questions and would love to speak with either someone in marketing or someone in charge of creating or both! Found this and tried it out and my pet loves it. he is a little puppy but I think giving him fresh food is better than the regular dog food, (do not care what brand it is) only because they are out there to make money not spend money so they might say it has no this or that but I'm sure somewhere along the lines it has something not good for them of fillers. my only concern with this product that I have been noticing is that I bought this today (may 28, 2021) and yet the expiration date isn't until September 9, 2021…that's not saying when it was made and how long it has been on the shelf waiting to be purchased. if it is really fresh it would not lest more than a month at that. so makes me think it is full of preservatives. My 8 yr old English bulldog Rosie started aging very quickly in December, loosing partial sight, joint issues. She has always had very bad allergies on prescription drugs & food. We found this food at our local BJs Wholesale store about 2 years ago. A friend of mine, who feeds her animals exclusively raw food, recommended this food and said that if she couldn't prepare her dogs' food, this is what she buys. So we bought it! It looked good and I read the ingredients. We have 2 dogs: Schmooby, a 10 year year old, laid-back, snuggly Norwegian Elkhound/Shiba Inu/Spaniel/Beagle mix and Artie Bloo, a very active, playful 7 year old Australian Cattledog. Both of our dogs LOVE this food and their coats look excellent and their health is excellent. I really like that Freshpet that comes in the little round pellets, although I have used the rolled food and the one that looks shredded as well. This is our personal preference. It's very easy to measure out. We give this to our guys once a day, the other meal they get a grain-free kibble. Our little 6lb rescue chihuahua Orion has never been one to enjoy meal time. He shied away from his bowl no matter what we fed him. Sometimes we could coax him with a new wet food for a day or two but then it was back to not eating and hiding at meal time. Timber is a once 100 lb rescue mix who is now 13 yrs old and ~83 lb due to muscle loss and early stage kidney disease. He had a very sensitive stomach from the get go. We always tried to feed him high protein, high quality kibble, which he did best on. Unfortunately we experienced more than one brand start with a good quality recipe to build the reputation and trust then over time sneakily change the ingredients to cheaper recipe for same big price. Usually we found out when his stomach started acting up.
