…but for my little girl, only lasted a couple of days – so a LuLu "2 star". We are guessing she's a Whipador (lab X whippet). She's about a year and a half, so out of the puppy teething stage, but those little needle teeth can grab the teeniest wayward thread and she doesn't stop until the whole shebang is unraveled. I caught her before she pulled all the stuffing out of the trout, because, yes she will eat it. I aim to sew it up the hole and give her a few more hours of play with it. It's so darn cute! We bought it on recommendation of the salesperson who said his rottx was tough on toys and he couldn't destroy this one. So I still give it a 3 and a recommendation, because unless your dog has honey badger teeth like mine, you'll probably be ok.hurricanelulu

My terrier/ mix destroys any other soft toy in minutes!! We have had this for 6 months, at least. He chases it when thrown… Tries to "terrier- kill" the fish, squeaks it… Tosses it, catches it…GREAT EXCERCISE in the house for winter!! I DO take it away from him when he lays down and just starts chewing though… He has a history of quickly ruining toys!! And we love this one too much!! First off, this toy is extremely adorable and makes cute sounds. It feels fairly sturdy, but my super chewer destroyed it in a day- nothing against the toy! That's just how she is. Suntan has played with his Hurley and Jive for a couple of years. He only plays withe the Drifty for short periods of time but I think that will change in time. He has Skamp and Zisc which are only used for interactive play. He and I love West Paw toys!Gail R.
I have two Aussie puppies, and these bones have been great to leave in their crates. Love that they are dishwasher safe, hold up well to their moderate chewing, and a re fun to throw and fetch during play time. I didn’t read the description well enough when I purchased this toy. Totally my fault. It is for moderate chewers, and I made the mistake of giving it to our HEAVY chewer- and he demolished it in 15 min. :(. Until that point, he LOVED this toy! It smells good, and he was very happy with it. I think this would be a wonderful toy for a smaller dog (our Golden Retriever is HUGE) or a dog that isn’t so bent on destroying everything he chews or a dog that just wants a toy to retrieve. But if you have a chewer, you’ll probably want to go with the Skamp, or the Hurley (both of which our dogs LOVE! West paw toys are always their favorites.Meredith S.
